Somehow, I tend to doubt that. Frankly, it surprises me that Google executives aren't bragging about it... but they know their statements would almost surely end up as evidence in more than one lawsuit:
YouTube's New Moderators Mistakenly Pull Right-Wing Channels

YouTube’s new moderators, brought in to spot fake, misleading and extreme videos, stumbled in one of their first major tests, mistakenly removing some clips and channels in the midst of a nationwide debate on gun control.

The Google division said in December it would assign more than 10,000 people to moderate content after a year of scandals over fake and inappropriate content on the world’s largest video site.

In the wake of the Feb. 14 school shooting in Parkland, Florida, some YouTube moderators mistakenly removed several videos and some channels from right-wing, pro-gun video producers and outlets.
So, Sundararajan, my old pal, was this a "mistake" too?

After review, the following video: Immigration and War has been blocked from view on the following YouTube country site(s): Austria, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Czechia, Germany, Estonia, France, United Kingdom, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Croatia, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Martinique, New Caledonia, French Polynesia, Poland, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Reunion, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, French Southern Territories, Wallis and Futuna, Mayotte

Certain features have been disabled for this video

In response to user reports, we have disabled some features, such as comments, sharing, and suggested videos, because this video contains content that may be inappropriate or offensive to some audiences.

The kid might not have done it. Was the ban part of a scheme to hide the truth?

Blogger xavier February 28, 2018 6:12 PM

Was it a mistake for Sundarajan to limit your videos? To be sarcastic: why yes it was your mistake. You dared challenge the narrative(tm) and hurt the feelz of the snowflakes.
In any cae, you won't neplatformed and the videos will still go viral

They mistakenly received more blowback than they were expecting.

Anonymous Anonymous February 28, 2018 6:33 PM

I hate to say this distasteful word, but I think we have to start regulating social media and treating it like a public utility.

Blogger David The Good February 28, 2018 6:42 PM

Banning a video based on van Crevald's insight is flagrantly antisemitic.

Blogger Cataline Sergius February 28, 2018 6:43 PM

Google's response to the current crisis has been...interesting.

Take Google's "Shopping" tab for example.

If you type in AR 15 you get this.

If you type in Glock 19 you get this

But if you type in 1811 you get this

Better click on that last on fast BTW. This morning you would have gotten a similar page for CZ 75 but now you get NO RESULTS for the tough metal gun.

Blogger Cataline Sergius February 28, 2018 6:46 PM

Sorry I meant to type 1911

Blogger Gordon Scott February 28, 2018 6:51 PM

Let's add "mistakenly" to "unexpectedly" alongside "I apologize if you were offended."

Blogger RobertT February 28, 2018 6:52 PM

If it's any consolation, Google got the ugly one.

This blocking seems to be pretty random.

Better known firearms are blocked but the more obscure ones, which is to say the ones that haven't been in movies have been missed. Although the P7M8 gets you Shopping responses and that was Han's Gruber's righthand in Die Hard.

This morning the "Flock 19" could still get you shopping responses but it's blocked now, although if you type that into the search bar, you still see Sponsored resulted to the right and they will click through.

It feels like Google is being reprogrammed by people who don't have the slightest f4cking idea how Google works.

Blogger g wood February 28, 2018 7:19 PM

So what? You can't buy a Glock 19 over the Internet. Type in "Glock trigger", which you can buy, and you get 2.3 million hits.

g wood wrote:So what? You can't buy a Glock 19 over the Internet.

You may not have an FFL, but some folks do. Ayone can have a Glock 19 shipped to their friendly neighborhood FFL.

Blogger c0pperheaded February 28, 2018 7:33 PM

Yes, you can. Whether or not you should is another issue.

Blogger Lazarus February 28, 2018 7:46 PM

Blogger Cloudbuster February 28, 2018 7:55 PM

You certainly can. Go to for example.

"Whether or not you should is another issue."

No reason you shouldn't. There are many reputable dealers online.

Blogger The CronoLink February 28, 2018 8:01 PM

When I click the link, it tells me the video has inappropriate content before letting me click continue to watch the video; the video has a lot of features disabled. I guess you can add Mexico to the list of countries it is banned in.

Saw the video in dailymotion, very, very good and interesting.

While the world continues to burn, leftist activists clog up the courts and waste everyone's time over being denied the right to act like douchebags:

Blogger el diablo loco poco February 28, 2018 9:09 PM

Just like the IRS denying Tea Party groups, any real resolution to shadowbanning/deplatforming will come years after the damage has been done. Ya think that ain't part of their strategerie? It aina gonna slow down - as a trend it will probably accelerate and expand in scope.

Blogger seeingsights February 28, 2018 9:20 PM

Part of the blame goes to Bush II. Bush II allowed Google to buy Youtube in 2006.

Expression was more robust on YouTube before 2006.

Hers is something that the Trump Administration could do: if Google wants to buy a company, Trump could threaten antitrust action to block it unless Google allows expression to the fullest extent under the law.

Blogger SciVo February 28, 2018 9:25 PM

At this rate, by the time our slow-motion CWII comes to a roiling boil, we will have separate informational, social, educational, and financial systems. Even different stores! But perhaps it's for the best that they force us to build parallel systems, while we still have something like social order in which to do so.

O/T Trump caving to Dems on gun control?

Blogger Lazarus February 28, 2018 10:02 PM

Q Nov 2:

Why has POTUS dedicated so much time into labeling the MSM as fake news? Why is this relevant? We are fully prepared that all social media will be shut down to prevent the spread of this information (i.e. POTUS' Twitter etc. and/or mass censoring). Sealed Federal orders pre-submitted as prevention and masked as 'in general' (though that does not account for rogue agents/programmers within). Dates (impending actions) are deliberately provided for authenticity......As discussed, we've anticipated the Twitter and other social media blackouts. Rogue agents/programmers. Per sealed Federal orders, we quickly tracked and reinstated. Expect outages periodically (infiltrated).

Trump caving to Dems on gun control

Ya, and if Hillary had won, the move to abolish the 2A would already be underway.

No room for purists on a battlefield.

Be thankful for small mercies.

Blogger pyrrhus February 28, 2018 10:18 PM

@23 Trump's base is extremely sensitive on this subject, and rightly so. The bumpstock EO would be clearly illegitimate and likely overturned in court, but not an important issue. The "assault weapons" issue and the notion that people who can vote can't buy long guns, even shotguns, are both highly toxic and could cost the Republicans the midterm elections...Worse, Trump didn't want to put nationwide reciprocity in the package, giving the Republicans a very positive issue to trumpet.

Blogger pyrrhus February 28, 2018 10:20 PM

"Be thankful for small mercies."

No. At this point, there is only winning and losing, and major unforced errors are unacceptable, even from the GE...

Blogger Lazarus February 28, 2018 10:34 PM

Fair enough. Vigorously lobby your representatives. Hold a demonstration. Launch a lawsuit. Complain directly to the POTUS.

For those under 21, defend your guns with your life when THEY come for them. Stand up for your rights, dammit.

I am behind you all the way, way out here, out of range.

Blogger Brick Hardslab February 28, 2018 10:51 PM

It's beginning. The AR-15, etc are being erased. It's like those Stalin era photos where one day Comrade Schmedric was there then next, gone. A year or two from now Vox Day will get the Buchanan treatment. Typing in Pat Buc got no hits. They eventually corrected their inadvertent error but the guy was a presidential candidate for the republican nomination. If they can unperson him who's next?

Blogger Demonic Professor El February 28, 2018 11:00 PM

Slightly OT, but should be addressed:

Trump has a habit of saying exactly what the Enemy proposes - in this case, "eliminate due process." When the Deathocrats agree, that resonates with people.

Most people won't wrap themselves in the intricacies of legal process or gun schematics. They hear "get rid of due process." THAT will stick in their heads. The Dems want the presumption of guilt and the end of civil and criminal legal progress dating to the middle ages.

Trump has this habit of making his enemies stick themselves.

As per Google - it's a tech company that overvalues it's stock, rips off competitors (and workers, allies), and discriminates based on race and sexual orientation. Five years max before they're done of their own volition. Stockholders and consumers getting alternative sources sooner? Two years.

The tech companies learned nothing from 2000, nor the 2008 crisis. Their belief is in monopoly and government largesse which makes them far more fragile than they seem. A dying EU is looking to carve money from the techs as we speak.

"Worse"?? That's fantastic news! That confirms that it's a trap.

"Do you see this hill? It's a big, beautiful hill! Would you like to die on it? It's an amazing hill, the best. Here's your non-threatening toy non-gun, now charge those pillboxes!"

[some time later] "Welp, I tried, but the People have spoken. Who's up for national reciprocity?"

If anything actually comes of it then I'll eat my words, but that's how it looks to me.

Blogger Thucydides March 01, 2018 12:26 AM

Bui;lding paralle structures is actually a thing under Revolutionary War Theory. Although it is actually a Marxist revolutionary thing, the various drug cartels adopted it as well, using their vast financial resources to build schools, hospitals and create jobs in impoverished rural areas where they operated, buying the loyalty of the locals away from the existing government structures and essentially insulation themselves from Government forces (who was going to turn on the people who were actually providing for the locals?)

So there is no reason not to adopt the tools of the enemy and turn them against their creators.

Looking at BitChute right now and it looks like a good possible alternative to YouTube, without all the annoying cat videos. Alt Tech looks like it has made a good start in deplatforming Google.

Blogger Bob Loblaw March 01, 2018 4:40 AM

The Google censors probably do view it as a simple mistake. That is, they truly believe people with views outside their own universe of acceptable opinions should be relentlessly silenced. How were they supposed to know there would be blowback?

It's the way they were raised. Modern colleges have a lot more in common with communist indoctrination camps you would have found in China or Laos than the very same colleges four or five decades previous.
