Now WHO was colluding with Russia?

The RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA story keeps getting more and more bizarre. And revealing more and more corruption on the part of the federal bureaucracy:
After months of secret negotiations, a shadowy Russian bilked American spies out of $100,000 last year, promising to deliver stolen National Security Agency cyberweapons in a deal that he insisted would also include compromising material on President Trump, according to American and European intelligence officials.

The cash, delivered in a suitcase to a Berlin hotel room in September, was intended as the first installment of a $1 million payout, according to American officials, the Russian and communications reviewed by The New York Times. The theft of the secret hacking tools had been devastating to the N.S.A., and the agency was struggling to get a full inventory of what was missing.

Several American intelligence officials said they made clear that they did not want the Trump material from the Russian — who was suspected of having murky ties to Russian intelligence and to Eastern European cybercriminals. He claimed the information would link the president and his associates to Russia. But instead of providing the hacking tools, the Russian produced unverified and possibly fabricated information involving Mr. Trump and others, including bank records, emails and purported Russian intelligence data.
How are these "American spies" not being arrested already? We already know that the Trump campaign didn't collude with Russia the way the Hillary campaign did, but as far as we know, even the Hillary campaign didn't actually offer to PAY the Russians ONE MILLION DOLLARS!

American intelligence, such as it is, more and more appears to be run by Dr. Evil.
The Times obtained four of the documents that the Russian in Germany tried to pass to American intelligence. All are purported to be Russian intelligence reports, and each focuses on associates of Mr. Trump. Carter Page, the former campaign adviser who has been the focus of F.B.I. investigators, features in one; Robert and Rebekah Mercer, the billionaire Republican donors, in another.

Yet all four appear to be drawn almost entirely from news reports, not secret intelligence. They all also contain stylistic and grammatical usages not typically seen in Russian intelligence reports, said Yuri Shvets, a former K.G.B. officer who spent years as a spy in Washington before defecting to the United States just before the end of the Cold War.
On the plus side, someone finally figured out how to make money by publishing news on the Internet. Alert Goldman Sachs, we've got a new business model! I love the smell of an IPO in the morning.

"American intelligence, such as it is, more and more appears to be run by Dr. Evil."

JFK learned that the CIA was not trustworthy and was dangerous. He gave a speech saying he would end that agency. Unfortunately a "lone nut" assassinated him shortly thereafter.

It looks like Donald Trump went into office with the clear understanding that many elements in the CIA, FBI, NSA, etc. were against him and were dangerous. So far he has maintained his personal safety. We pray this continues.

@4 It was in the news awhile back that some of the NSA's hacking and virus programs were stolen. How you can "buy them back," I am unclear. It's not like copying them would be a problem. Best explanation is they came up with the lame cover of trying to buy back the programs when they really were after dirt on Trump.

Blogger Rick February 10, 2018 6:53 AM

Chris Lutz, your story is more plausible.

IIRC: Russian SVR... sorry, an anonymous hacker group called the Shadow WarrioRs (note the capitalized letters, note that V's and W's are interchangeable to Russian speakers) hacked into NSA servers, copied all their shit and then deleted it and told them that they wouldn't return the copies unless they were paid a ransom. Interesting story overall.

I was pretty that the pissgate thing was Russian in origin, it at least it came from Russian minds. Not that it actually happened of course, just that it seems like the kind of thing a bunch of appparachniks in the bowels of the Kremlin would have thought up after too much vodka and South Park. Bet a lot of rubles passed hands over bets on whether or not the bydlo amerikanski would really believe it.

I have a friend who was a sniper in Vietnam. Was loaned out to the CIA for a year. Every time he goes overseas, they visit to ask him about what ever he saw while in foreign territory.

I asked him about the CIA's training. He said it was all running by East Cooast academic s, and that the overwhelming majority of it was worthless.

He's also a professional hypnotherapist...well, was...now he trains other hypnotists.

Blogger Chris Lutz February 10, 2018 7:06 AM

The pathetic thing is the cover story is lame and makes the CIA look stupid. This isn't a prisoner exchange or buying back something that can't be copied. You're buying back software which can be copied into infinity. Why not say "We were looking for information as to who stole our software and our informant also gave us info on Trump?"

What's scary isn't that the establishment is rotten to the core. What's scary is how incompetent they are.

" It looks like Donald Trump went into office with the clear understanding that many elements in the CIA, FBI, NSA, etc. were against him and were dangerous."

These three letter agencies are civilian intelligence. If Trump knew of their danger, how did he know this? It's not possible that he learned of this independently. And I am NOT positing a Russian connection. Instead, I'm suggesting that he had help (A LOT) from another source, U.S. Military Intelligence. I am entertaining the idea that a civil war has been afoot; a war between the civilian intelligence agencies and U.S. Military Intelligence. The latter has been working with Trump. In fact, they've been aiding him since late Spring of 2016 - when his victory in the GOP primaries was certain. Flynn is a spook. Admiral Rogers (head of the NSA) tipped Trump off regarding the bugging of Trump Tower. Remember the time when Trump said something about the "Calm before the Storm"? And he issued this cryptic statement while standing with military officials.

https://nypost.com/2017/10/06/trump-drops-ominous-calm-before-the-storm-line-while-posing-with-military-leaders/

I could be wrong. I could be buying too heavily into the "Q" stuff but I've seen a soft corroboration of those claims in his/ her/ their postings.

Whoever described the 2016 general election as "The Flight 93 Election" may have been prescient if not completely accurate. I think Victor Davis Hanson may have been correct when he inferred that no scandals would have happened under a Hillary administration.

Blogger Rick February 10, 2018 7:19 AM

A few other things:

1) why should I believe the Times?
2) how did they learn all this super secret stuff?
3) this is an odd, manipulative way to say something plainly: “There remains no evidence that such a video exists.” Remains? You still want me to think it existed once upon a time, but has since been destroyed, don’t you. Clever.

Blogger Akulkis February 10, 2018 7:24 AM

@Cubby8126

The vast majority of the contents of intelligence files comes from newspapers and magazine, annd other public sources. The James Bond stuff comes from moles, and iccassionocc, actual penetration be of enemy operations by a system agency's own nationals. It's generally safer to cultivate 3 moles, and cross-check their reports against each other. ok

@26 If one is to assume the legitimacy of Q then the chans are the perfect place for Military Intelligence. Remember that Hillary meme in which a Star of David was used and the MSM flipped out? That came from 8Chan:

"For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy, that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence. On infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerillas by night instead of armies by day. Looks to be their typical doubling down. As stated above, buying back leaked/stolen code is nonsense added merely to justify real collusion (meetings, drops, payments) between DS/DNC operatives and Russian/foreign actors in a coordinated effort to poison the well and throw the election to the candidate the elites had chosen and paid. Notice how, once again, we have media stories used as "evidence" for the reports. Obviously it does not matter if the chicken or the egg came first, as they are meant to reinforce the validity of each by coming from "separate" "non-partisan" sources; however, they are shown to be fictitious writings by professionals adept at spotting BS.

"Lurk more" There have been over two dozen "soft corroborations" of Q's being authentic on the chans, and more like thirty. No one, but no one is going to back track, and show them all to you, or any of them. This is a stealth war, and the God Emperor cannot come out and just say, "The Q Team is working for me."

At this point, use "Strong nouns and verbs, and avoid qualifiers when possible."

You've been a patriot, but if you need to, go out and deeply research the chans and you will find them. May take days or even a week or so to do that.

Warning: Do not ask anyone out there to help, as they will be many times harsher then me toward doubters.

Your patriotism is still admired. You do considerable research, it's just that, it takes a great deal. I got lucky, probably due to prayer, I happened to be out on the chans (in September) looking for what I ask heaven to supply a little over a month before Q came into 4 chan. I've followed the whole thing.

Do not believe me, research MOAR.

@45 We're on the same page. Admittedly, I am still not on the Chans. I've been lazy insofar as how to navigate and use them. Been going to secondaries and working from there. Also reading Wictor, Last Refuge, Stealth Jeff, Imperator for clarity. They seem to be filling in some of the "blanks". I'm especially intrigued by Wictor's commentaries on the Gulf Cooperation Council. This is important because some of the Q postings imply Saudi Arabia as an ally in the war against the Deep State. Conservative Treehouse posted an article about this a week ago.

The Twitter of Thomas Paine (True Pundit) is very good too.

Blogger Al From Bay Shore February 10, 2018 10:43 AM

@48 That is so true! I've not seen such bold and audacious certainty from persons who make up the pro-Trump right until now. Hannity has been saying "Tick Tock" lately, and it's spreading. I've noticed that "Red Pill Black" used it. I think this is important because she strikes me as the typical "Black conservative" (ie. the Ben Carson type rather than the Walter Williams type). In short, "tick tock" in my opinion, is the water flowing from upstream. If Q is real, and I think he/ they are, this is one of the main reasons for which this information is being disseminated - to prepare people for a degree of corruption that is far beyond their comprehension.

We're talking FISA and Uranium One right now. That's easy. The hard part is considering the truth of WikiLeaks' PizzaGate email. Remember, Assange has yet to "drop" something that lacks credibility. Why did Q just "drop" an image of an all Boys catholic school in Thailand?

ie - IF they receive COPIES of their own software back from the Russians, THEN they know for a certainty that the Russians possess (x) portions of the software suite.

yes, the entire thing could still be a cover story for more snooping on TGE. but it is at least superficially plausible.

how you value an inventory of compromised programs at $1 meelion dollars does seem a bit excessive. you would think, if *our* spy networks were any good, that we would have multiple intel chains reporting back on what the Russkies had gotten away with. therefore, no single chain should be able to bill $1 million.

@21-Trump is obviously cozy with at least some of the military establishment, which would explain why his administration is full of 'em. But there's no reason to believe he's not being helped by factions with civilian "intelligence." Remember shortly before the election when rumors were flying about female body inspectors on the verge of mutiny because of how Comey was handling the Weiner Files? They may not like Trump, but they surely don't always like eachother.

@50-"Assange has yet to 'drop' something that lacks credibility"

The "Pizzagate" emails are already "credible" based on the fact that they're from Podesta. If they don't also hint at an international pedophile ring, that won't affect Assange's record.

"OMG, Russian bots now, Russia, Russia, and just endless Russia."

I think that's what the soldiers in Army Group South started saying after the first year....
