Now, FFS, stop overreacting!

What did I tell you? What did I tell you, again? NEVER react to any statement, let alone tweet, by the God-Emperor, until at least two days have passed.
Donald J. Trump@realDonaldTrump
Never said when an attack on Syria would take place. Could be very soon or not so soon at all! In any event, the United States, under my Administration, has done a great job of ridding the region of ISIS. Where is our “Thank you America?”
I'm getting more than a little tired of all the memory-impaired Chicken Littles freaking out every time the God-Emperor rattles his sabre, especially those of you who will promptly forget this latest incident and start running around proclaiming the sky is falling as soon as he tweets about military action in Iran or Uganda or wherever.

Try to recall that there is no inherent truth value in rhetoric and only an idiot makes a habit of openly declaring his every intended action to the vast collection of his enemies, foreign and domestic.

I concur. Just because most here have grown up during the administrations of people that have displayed the attention spans of 8 year olds doesn't mean all presidents have always been that way and always will be. The history of mankind has not been one of instant gratification in advanced societies - that is reserved for hunter gatherer societies in equatorial/tropical regions with abundant food (which incidentally tend to remain primitive because there is no impetus to change). Harsher climes demanded longer term planning - something that we are likely to see again with the economics and cultures of more advanced countries teetering on a cliff edge. Trump could be the greatest president of all and it may mean diddly in the end... but we play the had we are dealt and make the best of the cards. Come back to me in 2020 regarding what we can "see" is happening today. We still won't have all the information but at least something real for perspective.

If news of the ship movements in and into the Mediterranean Sea are correct, that is a lot of firepower in a small space. All it takes is one false move. I bet that sailors in the Mediterranean, or heading that way, are way more nervous than the sailors sent to cruise around Spratly Islands.

The UK is a problem, and they do seem to be as far gone as Germany and the Pope, all strongly connected BTW. Add in the Swiss Bankers too.

My evolving understanding has the origins of this latest, modern attempt to re-establish Babylon beginning in England around the time the Royal Society is formed. The British Empire is expanding, the industrial revolution is about to be birthed in England and Blake, Wordsworth and Coleridge will shortly announce the Divinely destined Age of Romanticism which will allow the Empire to bring unprecedented spiritual and material wealth to the entire world. So England is where the corruption must begin if Evil is to thwart the Good. The Good in this view, following the work of Bruce Charlton and William Wildblood, seen as God’s intention for Man to enter a new Age of Consciousness in which Man will learn to participate more fully in God’s Creation in preparation for the Millenial Age.

We see early signs of this corruption such as Francis Bacon attempting to re-purpose the British colonization of the Americas into a mission to establish a new Atlantis. The Rothchilds emerge to gain control of banking in the City of London. Genuine Christian efforts such as ending the slave trade are later distorted to justify disastrous policies such as free trade and the meddling in South Africa, greatly weakening the Empire. The Romantics are snuffed out early leaving only the materialism of the Industrial Revolution. The Romantics try to re-emerge again later in Germany (Goethe) and America (Thoreau and Emerson) but are thrown off the trail once more this time into Unitarianism. Then Cecil Rhodes kicks off the official effort to establish the NWO and the, by now firmly established, Anglo-American banking alliance successfully navigate the world into two world wars as the hundred year plan to bring about Babylon unfolds.

And now Q is showing us how the culmination of that plan, so near to completion, is being thwarted, led by patriotic and God fearing white hats within the US military and intelligence apparatus commanded by Trump. Pretty exciting stuff, if you think Q is real.

According to some here, Mr. Trump is employing a blindingly clever strategy which consists of (1) teaching his followers (and his enemies, foreign and domestic) that his words mean nothing while simultaneously (2) giving in to his bi-partisan Swamp-Creature attackers on their policy preferences (DACA, continuing the US invasion of Syria, supporting new a "regime change" war in Yemen, etc).

I should say that I supported candidate Trump for 3 reasons:
1. He was not Hillary Clinton.
2. He had all the right enemies.
3. He was opposed to U.S. interventionism and elective wars.

He is still not Hillary Clinton (although the differences from a foreign policy perspective are diminishing rapidly) but it now seems that many of his bi-partisan "enemies" were enemies largely because of my No. 3, above, which would have done damage to the military industrial complex which feeds the coffers of all branches of the Washington Party. With the President's total failure to end the wars and his appointment of an unending stream of neoconservative lunatics to key positions, my reasons 2 and 3 are gone and so, it would appear, is the fervor of many of his enemies-at least within the GOP establishment. There is nothing like a war or threat of one to bring about unity.

While I understand that many still cling to the hope that "the real Donald Trump" is playing a very deep game here, applying Occam's razor to the list of possible explanations for his behavior suggests otherwise.

I really would prefer be wrong on this but don't believe that I am.

While the first 2 movies would be ok by Luther, this one wouldn't. It is staged at the same campus church as the first 2. GND3 lacks diversity in it's villains, it starts with the assistant nig-pastor being martyred in a fire set by (spoilers)the white man student, then the college board of directors lead by a blond woman who speaks the words of jew dyke decides to demolish church to put up diversity center.

Pastor hippy goes to court & wins only to realize jew-dough-Christ wants him to surrender so students will have a diversity center that no one will be upset with & he can build a church anywhere that's not within walking distance to campus.

Movie ends with digging dirt for new church that has no other buildings in sight, so no one will be walking to that church & everyone is happy.

James Dixon,

Yes, WV is not the only place they are pulling the only hydrocarbons out of the ground. But it was the early performer for wet gas, which has been driving this revolution and geopolitical black swan.

George Mitchell pioneered what you know as fracking, in the Barnett Shale, in North Texas. Mitchell then sold his company for untold millions to Devon.

They different regions of the Marcellus and Utica yield different products. WV has the most amount of wet gas, which gives you natural gas, and NGL's (Natural Gas Liquids), such as ethane and propane. That mix, C1-C3, is the geopolitical wild card I'm referring to, which WV produces the most of among the various regions in the Northeast Shale plays.

After production, the Liquids and gas go to the Gulf Coast and Philadelphia. They are exported to Europe from Philadelphia, in both LNG and NGL form.

Yes, letting it go into effect might move it from mistake to betrayal. I notice it hasn't gone into effect yet. If it does go into effect, what will he do with it? Will he have it enforced, or will he use it to re-litigate US vs Miller?

Miller held that weapons with military purpose cannot be infringed. Bump stocks have no military purpose, but actual machine guns do, short rifles and shotguns and artillery with explosive shells do. I'd be happy to see bump stocks made illegal if we got the 1934 NFA overturned in the process.

I believe that is correct-which is why I believe it is extremely dangerous fopr the President of the United States to act so erratically in a conflict situation that threatens Russia's strategic interests. Russia is a major power that possesses nuclear weapons, significant assets in harm's way and short response times.

Blogger Markku April 12, 2018 4:47 PM

Obviously not just nuke us for the lulz - we are clearly getting closer and closer to joining NATO, and they know that if we do, NATO is going to bring much, possibly even most, of its hardware here because we have the longest border with Russia of any countries. So, if they're going to nuke SOMEONE, we are the best candidate.

Blogger Noah B The Savage Gardener April 12, 2018 4:51 PM

@143 A bump stock ban isn't necessary to revisit US v. Miller. Trump could do that right now if he wanted to. When 2A advocates sue, the DOJ could start admitting that the government's position has been wrong for the last 80 years. Trump could fire anyone who refuses to do that.

Also, there's no point thinking in terms of bargaining with the left. You can't bargain with liars. Offering up a bump stock ban isn't going to get the NFA overturned.

There may be something more irrational and irritating than having a mob of Trump defenders attack and insult people who object to the President's complete reversal on major campaign positions that served as the basis for his election but nothing comes to mind. Why don't you "get ahold of yourself" and explain what possible reasons Trump could have for publicly taking positions that are diametrically opposed what he campaigned to do? I see this little pissing contest continues.

@Frank Brady: What do you want? What do you propose? What is your solution?

As for me, President Trump has already fulfilled his primary purpose; expand visibility and influence of the Alt-Right and defeat Hillary Clinton. Everything he does that helps us from here is just icing on the cake.

I will say it again. The Alt-Right is the inevitable future. Nationalism is the inevitable future. Not His Imperial Majesty, True Son of Jupiter, President Trump.

There is no 4D chess. There is only President Trump and the few he can trust against the entire Washington and MSM establishment.

So President Trump can't deliver on everything he'd like to. Boo F'ing Hoo. Things are going to get much worse for the USA before they get better. There is nothing President Trump can reasonably do to change that.

That said, it is perfectly ok to criticize what the President says and does. It is perfectly ok to continue to point out the need for a Wall and some serious deportations. Just try to keep some perspective and realize that President Trump isn't the first President to rattle a saber in public while doing back channel diplomacy.

Apparently, in addition to your inability to engage in a civil conversation, you are also unable to read. I never said anything remotely close to "we're all going to die over a Trump tweet". I did say, and I truly believe, that erratic and threatening behavior by the President of the United States is extremely dangerous and could lead to catastrophe. If you're going to dispute what I said, at least get what I said right. And you might reflect upon whether your habitual name calling adds anything to the credibility of your position.

@ 59. zhukovg April 12, 2018 5:54 PM Among other things wrote, "@Frank Brady: What do you want? What do you propose? What is your solution? "

Simple enough. I propose that (1) our government mind it's own fucking business and stop trying to impose regime change on countries around the world. Beyond that, (2) I propose that Trump keep his campaign promises and, related to (1) that he stop practicing the most stupid kind of brinkmanship in a region that's already a powder keg.

That's what I propose. The people of the region are the only ones capable of developing "a solution", assuming such a thing is even possible.

I don't think Trump has any intention of undoing 80 years of incremental encroachment. If he did, he would be unlikely to try bargaining with the Left.

If he did want to undo gun control, one way he might proceed is by significantly over-reaching, then setting up a defense for the over-reach that, win or lose, takes out the NFA. Certainly one could try to defend a bump stock ban by pointing out that no military uses them, and pointing to Miller.

OpenID zhukovg April 12, 2018 6:35 PM

@Frank Brady: Fine, I believe what you want is quite reasonable. But one thing to be aware of is that when Presidents Trump, Putin and Xi Jinping say things in public, the public is who it's for. That isn't diplomacy, that isn't brinkmanship, it's playing to their audience. This is nothing new, it's been going on for millennia.

As for his campaign promises. Yes, I want a wall. Yes, I want deportations. Why isn't it happening? I don't know. His Imperial Majesty has not seen wisdom enough to invite me to strategy sessions in the Oval Office.

This I know. Whether President Trump can make good on his promises or not, the end of the American Union is coming and nothing short of divine intervention will stop it. Prepare accordingly, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

As for me, I thank God every day I live in Dixie.

I do hope you are right. I know that a person could see WW1 coming due to the "playing to their audience" positions of the various leaders.

We live in a world with nuclear weapons. A mistake could end civilization. We should never inflame passions or threaten Russia's only warm water port.

I don't think we need to hide under the bed just yet, but I do wish the West would stop pushing Russia into a corner where they may think their only option is a first strike. That, my friends, would be bad. Real bad.

Perhaps we should all recall the saga of Soviet officer Stanislav Petrov. God's hand was at work on that day. Eh?

The only big hiccup so far was the Cromnibus.

I've said before Trump is the inverse. The RINOs talked conservative but governed liberal. Trump talks moderate, liberal, whatever, but got almost 2/3 of his promises through already. Maybe more after Ryan leaves (now if we can only get rid of McCuckold).

The left is spending its energy being triggered, falling on fainting couches, and running to safe spaces to do primal screams to effectively oppose him.

For the most part, I agree with you, particularly with the impending disappearance of the U.S. as a political entity. It's also perfectly true that, at least in Trump's case, much of what he says publicly isn't aimed at foreign leaders. But some of it is and, in any case, neither Putin's or Xi's "publics" will hear much of what actually was said. It is also the case that leaders can be pushed into actions because of public perception, trapped by their own propaganda. In Trump's case, his "publics" include the deep state, the military industrial complex, and politicians of both parties who carry much more clout than Joe Sixpack.

For me, two of Trump's recent actions signal total capitulation to "The Swamp". His acceptance of the Omnibus Spending Bill and his signing off on the War Party's campaign to demonize Russia and Putin, a sign off that included his appointment of the very worst neoconservative war mongers.

@150. Frank Brady - Trump is systematically destroying credibility with his base, teaching both them and his political enemies that his words mean absolutely nothing.

You are projecting your own opinion onto other people.

@160 I did say, and I truly believe, that erratic and threatening behavior by the President of the United States is extremely dangerous and could lead to catastrophe.

Threatening, yes. Erratic, not so much. Think about it this way. If there is a neighborhood bully who likes to punch people in the mouth, do you think you could avoid being punched in the mouth by going to him and saying, "Please don't punch me in the mouth." Think that would work?

I was never a fan of Reagan's aggressiveness, but it did get results. After the attempted assassination of Gaddafi of Libya, Gaddafi acted better not worse. It wasn't until Hillary came along that things blew up.

There is some reason to believe that Khrushchev misjudged what Kennedy would do, that triggered the missiles in Cuba, and that triggered the Cuban Missile Crises. Nuclear brinkmanship of the worst sort, not because Kennedy talked tough, but because he didn't seem tough enough. Eisenhower you may recall had the Iron Curtain viewpoint and no expansion of communism as a policy. Guess what? No nuclear standoffs during the Eisenhower administration. That had to wait for Kennedy.

It turns out that Truman gave Stalin the impression that we would not get involved in Korea. Doing so coincided so well with the start of the Korean war that it is fairly likely that we triggered the war. Not by talking too tough, but by appearing to be too passive.

And then there is the old standby, Chamberlain and Hitler. Yah think they talked too tough to Hitler and that caused the problem? They signaled passivity like crazy and off to war they went.

@164 I don't think we need to hide under the bed just yet, but I do wish the West would stop pushing Russia into a corner where they may think their only option is a first strike.

Yup. It is the neocon’s conduct that could trigger things, not Trump’s tough talk.
