Yes, yes, that does sound weird

I don't even know what to do with this YouTube comment.
It might sound weird but I wish Vox would put aside all of this intellectual stuff and do one of those videos where he just eats a cheeseburger on camera or something. Like don't even say anything, just sit down and dig into a burger. I would watch the fuck out of that. There are people who do only that and they get millions of views. Then once in awhile he could go back to making a video of intellectual content, but after hooking in a brand new audience with videos where he eats pasta or whatever. It could be anything. Something indigenously Italian. I think this appeals to me because I can't really picture it, so it would be entertaining and interesting to see. Like I could easily imagine Molyneux chewing on a bagel or having a smoothie or something. So that wouldn't really interest me. I just can't imagine Vox eating anything. I'm sure he does eat; he would have to. I just can't really imagine it, though. I wish he would do it.
The video medium is bad enough as it is. I didn't know it was even necessary to draw a line, but I definitely draw one at making eating fetish videos.

Obviously a trap. Never eat on camera, it's a Washington rule. Paparazzi wait to snap pics of people looking stupid with food in their mouth to use in hostile advertisements. Washington people all eat big meals before they go to public soirees so they aren't tempted to eat and get photographed looking stupid. Rush Limbaugh mentions it over and over.

Though the comment is amusing in its way, and clever. Why? Because it forces you to visualize.

Vox Popoli readers, did not you not see in your mind's eye Vox eating a burger or pasta? And Molyneux chowing down on a bagel?

Clever. Uselessly clever, but clever nonetheless. A sort of low rent Bill Burr remark.

See how I got you to imagine Bill Burr saying it? You'll hear his Boston voice when you read it.

Visualization. It's a powerful rhetorical technique.

Like don't even say anything, just sit down and dig into a burger. I would watch the fuck out of that. There are people who do only that and they get millions of views."

Those are the people that are involved in psi-ops. Their millions of views are certainly not organic, but most kids will watch something just because they've been told that it's popular. (Why trust the view counter? It's just more psychological conditioning.)

Once they get people watching, they start talking about stupid shit like flat earth and Mandela effect, pretending that they've decided to become gay or trans, calling up other actors that are supposed to be their parents and "coming out of the closet" to them as they cry, et cetera (and their young viewers believe it's all real, probably including the person that wrote the comment). Like Hollywood actors, these Youtubers are bought and paid for, and told what they're going to push.

maybe that's what's wrong with me.

i'm practically impervious to visualization.

for instance, i did not "visualize" that statement being made in Bill Burr's voice, nor did i imagine Vox eating something.

why would i? it sounds stupid to even think about, and certainly not something that i have any interest in.

now a video with *Spacebunny* eating things, i can see how that might develop a fetish community.

it's not that i cannot visualize, but i usually only bother trying to picture things in my mind when i'm trying to figure out a geometric problem or something.

However. There is always an 'however' you know. Here is my visualization: On Camera. On the right side, Vox. On screen left, with a small table and a hibachi, stands SB. She is dressed in something interesting, though, modesty is maintained with the kitchen apron. She uses her magic to cook something that looks really, really good. Then, she feeds it to Vox. After attaching a high end napkin made of silk round his neck. She proceeds with the meal like a mother bird feeding one of her chicks. She uses a small baby spoon. He never says a word. Nor does SB. Dialogue would spoil it. This would get 10 million views. Promise.

Meanwhile in America, they have started selling cheeseburgers at 7-11. But it's impossible to order one around here, because nobody who works at 7-11 knows what a cheeseburger is. They are all, to a man, foreigners. And 7-11 has this weird thing called a cheeseburger hot dog, and if you ask for a cheeseburger you'll get that weird hot dog thing.

I even had one of them, and African, ask me for clarification when I asked for a cheeseburger. He said, "You mean cheeseburger hot dog?" No, I said. Just the cheeseburger. He asked me three times, three times I tried to clarify. Then he got me that weird cheeseburger hot dog thing.

Scott Adams does his "Simultaneous Sip" thing, doesn't he? You could call it "Simultaneous Munch."

It might work if you 1) Make clear that you're eating a BEEF cheeseburger with the express purpose of trolling the vegans, and, if you give an erudite lecture while you munch so that your mouth is full about half the time, and you're only intelligible when you take a sip of whatever Italian wine goes with cheeseburger. Paradoxically it will be the case that people will strive harder to understand what you're saying if your mouth is full and they can barely make out the words.

Kind of like "Blessed are the cheesemakers." No, forget I said that.

Could do a brainstorm on this topic. It has the potential of attracting millions of views and could spawn multiple series:

"Vox Day Tries It" where he just goes into various Italian eateries, sits in silent contemplation eating while Spacebunny films him and he delivers his verdict if he would go there again in 1-2 sentences. Or, what about sitting in silence not even looking at the camera while he eats, then just turns it off? I think anything like these could easily build the channel by the hundreds of thousands at least. Intersperse them with more intellectual darkstreams and the Alt-Right is inevitable.

Blogger VFM #4388 June 02, 2018 8:55 PM

Blogger Doktor Jeep June 03, 2018 12:04 AM

I'm seeing diaper stuff pop up on /pol. Even degeneracy sucks now.

Blogger BriarRabbit June 03, 2018 12:45 AM

No, he doesn't eat. For if he eats, he therefore poops - and we all know he is above that.

Though the comment is amusing in its way, and clever. Why? Because it forces you to visualize.

Vox Popoli readers, did not you not see in your mind's eye Vox eating a burger or pasta?

Obviously Vox would eat a Pasta Burger.

Blogger Iamblichus June 03, 2018 1:47 AM

That comment is pure gold. I hope he comments again

Vox, in regard to your latest video on diversity in Comics. It's worse. They diversify the FAA now. Air traffic controllers!

Yes, and it's supremely gay. The man can be interesting, but I can't watch him.

The common wisdom here is that one can never go wrong by standing with Jack Ward. "

In the case of this 'request,' I'd agree, but maybe with your backs turned?

Blogger Avalanche June 03, 2018 7:45 AM

@92 "Food Streaming is a thing in Korea. A big, big thing. I still don't know why."

The starvlings in North Korea get vicarious feedings?

Blogger Avalanche June 03, 2018 7:47 AM

@94 "Eat the burger. Right there in your library while sitting on the throne."

Ooh. Maybe even better: sitting on the throne, feeding pieces of burger (alternating) to the doggos; one bite at a time... Probably even the PETA folks would tune in!

Blogger DJT June 03, 2018 7:48 AM

Well, Ethan Van Sciver's YouTube presence blew up when he started reading Star Wars articles off his iPad. Now he has $120K for his new comic book.

Blogger Avalanche June 03, 2018 7:52 AM

@98 "Scott Adams ... "Simultaneous Sip" thing"

I get such a laugh out of that -- talk about a wide-open demo of persuasion and "group-forming"!

He starts with an invitation: "come on in everyone, get in here. Got your lovely beverage? The best sip is the first simultaneous sip. Ready?"

(You can almost hear the subtext... "I pledge allegiance to the ..." coffee cup... and to my fellow drinkers...)

Verrah clevah!

Blogger Charles June 03, 2018 8:57 AM

VD: "but I definitely draw one at making eating fetish videos."

Ok, but what about Supreme Dark Lord drinking SJW tears from silvered skulls fetish videos???

Aren't you afraid he will hit you with his purse?

Blogger Harambe June 03, 2018 9:30 AM

I thought you drew the line at foot fetish ads?

Blogger rumpole5 June 03, 2018 9:47 AM

Amen. Too many ignorant people voting is the bane of our governmental system.

Blogger English Tom June 03, 2018 11:02 AM

@Shimshon

Jack usually makes some valid points. I think we should all stand with Jack Ward.

Blogger English Tom June 03, 2018 11:09 AM

@Animal Mother

It's not black and white. It's chiaroscuro!

Blogger English Tom June 03, 2018 11:10 AM

@Doktor Keep

Yes. Even degeneracy has degenerated. As Hillary Clinton once said: it's all just so sad.

Blogger English Tom June 03, 2018 11:11 AM

Sorry Jeep not keep.

Blogger pdwalker June 03, 2018 11:42 AM

Do you remember in the recent past when VD left the comment thread unmoderated? Man, the crazies came out in full force.

But this is a whole new level.

Blogger Daniel June 03, 2018 1:47 PM

I think I laughed note than I should have.

Regarding @53

We, the Ilk, have stood with Jack Ward through many things. We have stood with him when he stood for Gab. We have stood with him when he stood against Gab. We have stood with him when he stood for many other... things.

WE WILL NOT STAND WITH THIS. WE NO LONGER STAND WITH JACK WARD.

Blogger R Webfoot June 03, 2018 4:30 PM

"Vox, in regard to your latest video on diversity in Comics. It's worse. They diversify the FAA now. Air traffic controllers!"

And pilots, I presume... When we start Alt-Hollywood, that can be the plot of Cry Hard 2.

Blogger Clint June 03, 2018 5:16 PM

This is that Jack Ward stance that proves the rule, as in, this is the exception. We should NOT stand with Jack Ward on this one.

Blogger Helldoge Desotryer June 04, 2018 1:07 PM

But the cooking could be quick and he would only have to take one bite and smile and it would be over...short and sweet. ;-)

That said, I know this is pandering that Vox would never do, but the idea is funny and humanizing...admit it, or not.

Blogger Owen June 06, 2018 1:52 AM

Shit be crazy, yo. I can't imagine just watching you eat a burger. What I value from you is your honesty and commentary, sometimes brutal but always welcome. Although the wine stuff goes over my head, it's has its reward with the commentary.
