Dare to hope

The Deep State is NOT happy.
Former CIA director John Brennan blasted President Donald Trump's press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin as 'nothing short of treasonous.'

He also accused the president of being 'wholly in the pocket of Putin.'

'Donald Trump's press conference performance in Helsinki rises to & exceeds the threshold of 'high crimes & misdemeanors.' It was nothing short of treasonous. Not only were Trump's comments imbecilic, he is wholly in the pocket of Putin. Republican Patriots: Where are you???,' tweeted Brennan, who served as the nation's intelligence chief from March 2013 to January 2017 under then-President Barack Obama.
The Patriots are on your six, silly evil lizard man.

Putin name-drops Soros and says Hillary took $400 million of illegally gained money, filtered through agents. No wonder the Deep State is apoplectic.

Oh, and Putin also did Trump a solid and will allow Mueller to interview the agents in Russia. Expect serious crickets on that one.

It is funny that everyone is freaking out that Trump doesn't trust or support the IC. The same IC that has been caught running an illegal campaign to deny him the election and once elected use that campaign to conduct a coup. There is more evidence of crimes against Trump from the US IC than anything they have on Putin.

But the libertarians will say free trade in human organs is a good thing and we really shouldn't bother about how or why such are so cheap or available. No more than workers killed in factories or pollution going into the air or rivers - like the plastics everyone is in a tizzy about.

Putin also did Trump a solid and will allow Mueller to interview the agents in Russia

Hmm, better hurry -- Siberia starts cooling down in September. Altho, maybe the idea is to put Mueller on long-term assignment in Siberia -- did Putin even say that the 12 agents in question were still in Russia?

Maybe Mueller will need to wait until they return from their current assignments (2023?), and if he isn't in Russia when they return, then he loses his chance for an interview?

Brennon, McCain and A. Cooper were appalled.

So I watched the press conference myself, and discovered that the only people who would agree with them were people who DIDN'T/WON'T watch the press conference.

My take: two leaders agreeing to disagree on some issues, but both man enough to meet on issues they agree on. If some crisis arises, it'll be far easier for Trump to pick up the phone and call Putin now that they've met.

Trudeau, Macron and others had a learning opportunity today.

Blogger Lance E July 16, 2018 5:13 PM

Is it even possible for the President to commit treason? I mean, as a matter of definition? How can the chief executive commit a capital crime?

I don't think it would legally be considered treason even if he literally signed an agreement delegating his authority to Putin himself.

On the other hand, someone who is not the President (or even elected) directing a government agency to spy on a sitting president with malicious intent... probably counts.

Yes, right on cue. Those poor, poor black boys who are just victims of being misunderstood.

Oddly, when authorities do victim surveys and let victims tell us who did the crime to them; they somehow show blacks being vastly over-represented in committing crimes. Blacks are the most criminal and violent subgroup in the USA. Take that to the bank.

Putin saying he'll play ball and let Mueller cross examine the Russian agents is probably the most hilarious thing about this meeting, the Russia collusion probe couldn't be sinking any faster. If mainstay Americans begin to realise Russia is actually a friend of Trump, then it is all really over for the media.

Blogger Azimus July 16, 2018 5:27 PM

I'm curious what Jinping thinks of this summit. Is Trump wooing Russia away from China? China is the 2nd biggest piece on the board, Russia is 3rd, NATO/EU 4th or maybe even lower. Is Trump trying to surround and isolate China?

Blogger tublecane July 16, 2018 5:38 PM

Treason, surely. But they never really explain why. I mean, I know the ridiculous yet widely pretend-believed story about Trump being a Manchurian Candidate. But why is this summit, in particular, treasonous?

They keep talking about it as "high stakes," and of course there are stakes. But it's not as if they're negotiating a cease fire or arms control deal. What, exactly, does the chattering class think is at stake?

We know it's all about the NWO fear of powerful politicians allying against it. But they can't say that publicly. So even as they decry nationalism, they paint themselves as representing American interests, the West, and "democracy." Trump can't be against those things and be a good American, can he? He could only be a traitor.

Except we know the Establishment hasn't put America First in about 80 years at least. And the only way to get back to America First is by unseating the NWO in our ranks, and fighting them abroad.

Which looks like anti-Americanism, anti-Westernism, and anti-democraticism if you're a fool. However, globalist of all varieties, from SJW to neocon and beyond, are acting as if attacking Benedict Arnold in the midst of his plot to surrender West Point is treason.

USA, Russia and China are the big dogs and I doubt any of them wants to be the odd man out. China and Russia don't like the US dollar being the reverse currency of the world and have been acting to undermine that. I bet almost no one in the world understands that dynamic, but you know that Trump, Putin and Jinping most certainly do.

Of course. You will note there is never any details offered about exactly "what" the Russians did to influence the elections. It only that the Russians influenced the elections, end of statement.

One thing I've noticed is that the liberal democrats seem to be trying everything possible to prevent any rapprochement between the U.S. and Russia. My theory is that Hillary set up some incredibly corrupt deal between the Russians and herself, then ended up not staying "bought". You see, corruption is normal to the Russians. They were more than happy to deal with Hillary. Then she decided to renege on whatever deal she had worked out with the Russians. This, of coursed pissed off the Russians. Hillary, trying to conceal whatever the hell she did with the Russians, wants to prevent any kind of rapprochement with the Russians while someone like Trump is in office. I believe this explains why the democrats are so shrill about preventing any kind of rapprochement with the Russians. They don't want the specifics of whatever deal Hillary worked out with, and later reneged on, with the Russians to come out as public knowledge. It has to be that bad.

Blogger tublecane July 16, 2018 6:31 PM

What is with the quirk of our elite and chattering class pointing out Trump did this or that "on foreign soil?" What difference is that supposed to make?

All the sillier considering it's neutral soil.

From Jim Stone:

The left is freaking out because Putin destroyed Hillary:

OUCH: PUTIN DESTROYED HILLARY DURING THE PRESS CONFERENCE, SHE CLEARLY WAS THE ONE WHO "COLLUDED WITH RUSSIA" to the tune of $400,000,000 THAT'S ALL SHE WROTE FOLKS.

This transcript was done by Time Magazine. OUUUUCHHH!!!!

Putin: "For instance, we can bring up Mr. Browder, in this particular case. Business associates of Mr. Browder have earned over $1.5 billion in Russia and never paid any taxes neither in Russia or the United States and yet the money escaped the country. They were transferred to the United States. They sent [a] huge amount of money, $400,000,000, as a contribution to the campaign of Hillary Clinton. Well that’s their personal case. It might have been legal, the contribution itself but the way the money was earned was illegal. So we have solid reason to believe that some [US] intelligence officers accompanied and guided these transactions. So we have an interest in questioning them.

My comment: This is the end of the left. They can't overcome this. Helsinki was an unmitigated disaster for them, and the only thing they can do now is lie about everything, about how Trump committed treason for teaming up with an enemy and all the other nosense and then hope people believe it because there's no recovery from a statement like that, Hillary and the lying MSM, as well as American intelligence are finished.

Here we have: Hillary was the one guilty of Russian collusion (as those with any wit already knew), that corrupted Russians helped Hillary, and that American intelligence was involved also. We have Russia wanting arrests and questioning over it, thus proving it was not done officially so Putin is off the hook and Trump is off the hook. This one is BAAAAD folks, it is an un-quenchable un-stoppable catastrophe for Hillary and the rest of her ilk.

You can't accept foreign funding for a campaign like this, even for that reason alone HILLARY IS TOAST. And that huge sum of money probably ties straight into Uranium One, and if it does not it is even better because it will mean there is an even bigger Hillary scam no one knew about.

Blogger Peter Parker July 16, 2018 6:45 PM

Right, Brennen, you muslim POS, Trump's comments supposedly show he is in Putin's back pocket, but somehow Obama whispering to Medvedev (when he thought the microphones were off) that he should tell Vlad that "I'll have more flexibility after the election..." demonstrated how tough Obammie was against Putin.

What a flamming hemmorhoid Brennan is...

Blogger tublecane July 16, 2018 6:46 PM

@46- Much like the definitions of "racism" or "privilege," there are many levels of meaning to Muh Russia. Which they use depends on the audience and context.

There's the Manchurian Candidate version, where Trump has been groomed possibly for decades.

There's simple collusion, as in Trump dials up some Russian business contacts and tells them, "Hey, drop a line on Pootie-poot. I could use some help."

There's honeypot collusion, whereby the Russians blackmail him over a pee-pee tape.

There's collusion initiated by Russia, whereby Russian agents dangle oppo-research too good to pass up.

There's "interference" along the lines of propagandizing the American people through Facebook ads.

There's "hacking the election" through by getting into DNC servers and spreading diet through Wikileaks.

There's "hacking the election" by literally hacking into voting machines and changing tallies.

And many, many more.

Blogger Mr.MantraMan July 16, 2018 6:51 PM

Blogger tublecane July 16, 2018 6:51 PM

@52- I'd like to believe it's as bad as you say, but of course they'll lie and tel you Putin has concocted a conspiracy theory. People have stopped implicitly trusting the press, but they still trust them a bit. Otherwise the ridiculous Muh Russia never would have gotten off the ground to begin with.

Bill Browder: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Browder

Browder's paternal grandfather was Earl Browder, who was born in Kansas in 1891.[1] He was a radical and had lived in the Soviet Union for several years from 1927 and married Raisa Berkman, a Jewish Russian woman, while living there.[1] After his return to the United States in 1931,[1] Earl Browder became the leader of the Communist Party USA, and ran for U.S. president in 1936 and 1940.[13] After World War II, Earl Browder lost favor with Moscow and was expelled from the American Communist party.[1]

"Our differences with Russia are unlikely to subside because, among other things, we jammed open Russia's front door on the North European Plain via NATO expansion."

NATO has had no meaningful mission since the day Gorvechev woke up one morning to find out that Yeltsin had made him redundant by seceding Russia from the Soviet Union.

When was the last time that Russia (NOT the Soviet Union) sent troops into Poland or farther west, UNPROVOKED?

(And if you try to claim their troop mobilization to send to Serbia in the wake of the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand, any Russian, regardless of political leaning, well tell you that threatening or harming their "little brothers", the Serbs, *IS* a provocation).

the only thing you need to know about the Media's Muh Russia narrative is this:

they awarded a Pulitzer Prize to Walter Duranty for his work at the New York Times helping Stalin to conceal his genocides from the world.

as recently as 5 years ago, Chris Cuomo ( i think ) was reveling in how awesome the Communist paradise of Cuba was.

ie - the media has NO ISSUE with genocidal and totalitarian Communist dicatators. they never have had.

any statements to the contrary are smokescreens to distract the Normies.

China Biggest Loser In Budding US-Russia 'Foe-lliance'

China is feeling the heat. Mere weeks after the USA-North Korea summit loosened Beijing's grip on its only openly supportive military ally, US President Donald trump is now making a play to bring Russia, a formerly staunch us ally in WW2, back into the American sphere of influence. If Trump succeeds in thawing USA-Russia relations and establishes a mutual understanding with Russian President Vladimir Putin, he will succeed in fully encircling a growing Chinese threat with potentially hostile nations. China's strategic planning has long depended on Russian neutrality or support during a potential conflict with the USA and Trump is using every deal-making tool in his tool-box to change that reality. China has to now worry that its formerly dependable communist era ally has seen the light and abandoned them for the prosperity of the West. In the global power struggle between the USA and China, Russia, based on its military capability and geopolitical importance, is the largest remaining piece yet to declare a side. Japan, India, South Korea, Vietnam, the Philippines and many other nations have already decided that a hegemonic China represents a far greater threat to their sovereignty than the USA ever will and it is likely that Russia will make the same conclusion, however grudgingly.

The conventional wisdom that Russia's communist history would lead them to automatically support their ideological brethren across the border is being challenged by a USA President who views the conventional wisdom as an impediment to world progress. Time and again President Trump has challenged the established order, whether it be in the Republican party during the primaries, the US political elite during the 2016 election, the Liberal 'fake news' media, the entrenched 'deep state' bureaucracy, the unbalanced trade agreements, and most recently among his NATO allies regarding the organizations funding, among many examples, and each time the President has ultimately proved victorious. So as the critics hyperbolize about the Helsinki Summit and its alleged implications, remember that a Russian ally is a far greater benefit to American national security than a Russian enemy.

This trip has highlighted that Trump the president has finally merged as one with Trump the candidate, at least in foreign policy and trade. one glorious moment of straightforward sanity after another. I know this plays well to Trump's base. I have to think it plays well to independents (especially working class democrats who supported Bernie) too. Outside of Jewish females, the Jewish elite and cat ladies what whites or even (((fellow whites))) want a new cold war or for the US to pay for Europe's defense?

Now I want to see Trump continue to act athisnd talk way about domestic policies, especially I want him to talk about immigration to the US like he did about it to the UK.
