Minneapolis Southwest struggles with its vibrant diversity:
Safety concerns arise as violence continues to escalate at Southwest High School.So much for the idea that an absence of whites would lead to peace on Earth. All they need is to throw some Aztecs in there and things will get really... vibrant.
On top of an already failing administration, Southwest High School staff are struggling to maintain peace between students. Last Friday, March 2, multiple fights broke out during the school’s second lunch period. Despite attempts to sweep the issue under the rug and downplay the violence, persistent students and parents forced the administration to address the situation.
Videos of the fight posted online forced the administration to hold an emergency meeting.
The highly anticipated fight between two students who have been off-and-on friends for years became physical during lunch last Friday. According to school officials, they knew of the impending conflict at least a week prior. The day of the incident, the administration claims that they reached out to the students “every hour” before the fight broke out. Unfortunately, the efforts were not successful and the violence erupted anyway.
The fight was not limited to the two students, who were reported by classmates to be a Somali-American and an African American. Over 20 students joined the chaos soon after the first punches were thrown and the original videos that surfaced were titled “Somalis vs. Blacks.” The original videos have been taken down due to pressure from school administration. The school’s resource officer was present in the cafeteria. In an attempt to control the situation, school officials put the cafeteria into lockdown for 15 minutes after the allotted 30-minute lunch period, keeping any students from leaving or entering, including the ones not involved. All staff members that were not otherwise occupied were called to action.
The police were not called, but 15 student resource officers from other schools were called for backup. In an eyewitness video taken by a student, the administration’s inability to diffuse the skirmish in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner was made clear.

Looks like the administration wanted the violence. They knew it was going to happen and merely "reached out" every hour to talk about it. Basically a CYA move, but also a green light.
They were probably on the side of one of the groups, thinking they would win the fight and establish dominance in the school.
It’s just now coming to a head?
I attended a multicultural Catholic high from 1991 onward. It was later named for Cardinal MCarrick! Then closed a few years ago.
I’m white bred. Light hair, light skin, blue eyes, not Irish pale, I get a good tan, but...white.
During my time at that School, the Hispanic imports from Keansburg were absolutely predatory. I was shaken down for lunch money, kisses, boob-feels, and silence.
I’m kinda done with Catholicism, now. I thought I’d be oh so resurgent, but I can’t be. This goes on everywhere, all the time. I resent that the church puts its children in these untenable and precarious positions. And that it convinces parents that it’s for the best.
I can't wait for my mother to retire from a school in the south-suburbs of the twin cities. The somalis v. blacks thing has been well known for a decade. Yet, the school admin let's more and more solmails taxi themselves down to this school every year. (btw, the parents are the taxi drivers and yes, the school or state reimburses the taxi driver.)
Luckily she doesn't have to work with the mainstream kids and only one school year left.
"Videos of the fight posted online forced the administration to hold an emergency meeting."
It's amazing how publicity is the only thing that made administrators act like responsible adults. Alternative media is filling the roll of MSM in keeping government employees a little bit less corrupt.

The latest Q post on qanon.pub is about the Catholic church ... "Those you are taught to TRUST the most….."

They called for backup from other schools but not the police. Interesting. That suggests that they may have a program in place like Parkland, felons walking the halls but with a clean criminal record. We wouldn't want any vibrant to lose his voting privileges now would we?
When I went to school you had to pack your own lunch.
Be that as it may, an Israeli discusses diversity:
The root of our conflict goes deeper than you thought
It’s time to stop treating this kind of behavior as an aberration and to realize that ethnic, religious, and racial hatred and aggression is normal human behavior, probably biologically based. So how can we act to minimize the damage it does?.......
Promoting diversity, in other words, increases tensions, which leads to conflict. But there is an opposite approach, which is to move in the opposite direction from diversity, and reduce conflict by separating antagonistic groups.

Probably an accurate assessment. You know a fight is going to happen for a week & you don't forcibly separate the kids. Wow. Much competence.

I felt bad for this teacher, Kerstin Westcott, in the link below who made headlines when she resigned from her teaching job in 2017 at a Green Bay public school because it was too dangerous. Sure, she's a social justice warrior most likely yet I think she meant well and just wanted to teach.

"second lunch period"...just how oversized does a school have to be to have 2 lunch periods? My school had 3k students and didn't need that.
The last of my kids got out of the schools in the SW suburbs of Mpls eight years ago, thank goodness. The stories they tell about the Somalis are frightening.
It's good, though, that the first race war will be between the Africans and the longer-term American blacks. The Somalis think of the blacks as stupid and subservient slaves, and the blacks cannot tolerate being dissed, so it makes for some colorful confrontations.
American blacks vs Somalis and other diverse interlopers...the wave of the future...Two groups largely immune from arrest fighting over the same loot...Get your kids out, whatever it takes.

It sounds like they would have suppressed the story completely if a student hadn't managed to film it. They're probably angrier at that student than at any of the fighters.
I'm struck by the tentativeness of the administration. They "reached out" to the fighters each hour before the fight. How does that go? "[Mr. Van Dreissen voice] Hey, yeah, we heard you're planning a fight for this afternoon. Is there any way we can talk you out of it? We could arrange another Respect Diversity Day, with an assembly where you can express your concerns. Let's all try to get along, m'kay?"

No, the administration didn't want the fight. The administration is most likely all women which means they have no idea of how to handle a situation like this. I remember when one kid got out of hand in middle school and the weediest male teacher came running up, slammed him up against the wall and put an end to it.
Oh and our HS had about 500 students and we had two lunch periods. It's cheaper because you need a smaller lunch staff.

The 98% of the pedophile pretend Catholic “clergy” are the schismatics. It’s a dialectic point that gets lost by 99% of the MPAI crowds, much like Vox’s point about American posterity in the constitution, but remains a fact.
If white people are the problem, and the Leftist Liberals insist they are the problem, this must be because all-Black and all-Hispanic (and all-Muslim) high schools are perfect examples of peaceful harmony.
Go ahead....convince me.
But in the meantime, I will continue to believe that the reason the Leftist Liberals want racial integration in schools is because the presence of whites REDUCES the incidence of violence or at least spreads out the violence over a less violent population. Yes, the whites pull down the average in this particular case.
No Vox, not Aztecs. I sense an opening for the Rohingya as the victims du jour to be brought in and celebrated by the ELCA in Minnesota.

I seem to recall a story several weeks ago that the SPLC had transferred hundreds of millions of dollars to offshore accounts.
Seems to suggest they had an idea something was coming?
Wow. They managed to knock all videos of this fight off of the internet, so far as I can tell.
How does that work on the victim hierarchy? Somali-American > African American? How is a Somali-American not an African-American? Diversity, our strength, demands answers.
Gives you perspective how well African pan-nationalism would work out.
I realize that the comments section is reserved for comments about the OP, and that my individual story/account is both anecdotal and unimportant, I think it appropriately similar to the OP story, as I am a young millennial that attended an extremely “vibrant” middle/high school in the Chicago burbs.
The school I attended was a perfect slice of the current American demographics. A touch under 50% white, a dwindling 10-15% black, around 35% Hispanic (and growing), with the rest of the world’s migrants trickling in to fill the gap (Slavs, Arabs, Asians). Not one of these groups, with the exception of the adopted blacks and trash whites, intermingled or mixed outside the classroom. The cafeteria was divided completely by identity, with even the mixed kids sticking to whatever they looked most like, regardless of their parents. Of course, the classes were unintentionally divided by identity as well. The whites and Asians filled the honors groups. Blacks, Hispanics, and white trash occupied the remedial courses. The migrants were all housed in the ESL corner of the school, with the Slavs as the de facto Kings of the migrant weirdos (no one fucked with the Slavs, especially after a few of the more stubborn blacks tried unsuccessfully to bully them and found that these ‘whites’ were more accustomed to violence than even themselves). Whites in general, despite making up the small majority, accounted for maybe (and this is being generous) 2 of the roughly 100 fights I witnessed in my six years there. The remaining 98 would be split evenly by the blacks and Hispanics. I witnessed a Mexican drooling blood and teeth in the hall while a black sprinted out the school door being chased by teachers. I watched two pregnant blacks tear at eachother’s weaves while kicking eachother’s unborn children (one was charged with attempted murder, go figure?). I saw a Mexican girl piss herself in the hall because another Mexican gal held her at knife point from entering the girls room. I could go on for hours about the savage shit I saw go down in the locker rooms and gym classes. But my point is, everyone involved was forced into a survival mode on a daily basis, even if you never engaged in a fight or were threatened, everyone carried a pen to stab with, and walked in packs to survive. And public school is the equalizer in this scenario, as wealth and outside life was irrelevant. I lived the integrated experiment, and thank God I was tall, strong, and ‘spicy-white’ (Italian, Irish, Slavic made me dark enough to appear ‘ethnic’ in passing, and my suburban self could drift into the Slavic migrants without detection) or I would have had to live six years in what was essentially a state penitentiary without any defenses. Many of the whites and Asians got really abused by that system, and probably mentally scarred against integration.

@46, Yes, recent "immigrant" black outranks native-born American black on the diversity totem pole. Women and homosexuals and transsexuals outrank American blacks too. Really, the only person an American black man still outranks is the white, heterosexual, Christian man. You'd think they'd get upset about so many other groups getting ahead of them in line, but they'll probably just hate white men for it somehow.
Institutions can't completely prevent violence and grouping by race in a highly structured place like a maximum-security prison, yet they think they can keep it from happening in a public school?

Ah. I just figured it out. Both of the fighting students are innocent, but the whites are guilty because they created the internet which allowed the fight to be made public. No one NEEDED to know! Out of sight, out of mind. No report, no administrator is responsible, no paperwork, no after school meeting. Clearly, the internet is anti-diversity. We should censor it more.

Now keep in mind, I could teach the little guy "shop math" and he might make use of that but OH NO, we have to get him "college ready". Jesus, Joseph, and Mary!

You seem to have an authority problem. The fact that there is rot does not release one from obeying authority, or mean there is no authority.
The Catholic clergy is not “apostate for all practical purposes”, simply there are those who are not true Catholics but those who wish to destroy Christ’s Church and Christ’s teachings. That does not invalidate the doctrines of the Church.
In point of fact, Jesus taught to obey the corrupt Pharisees in their proper realm because they sat in the chair of Moses.
Otherwise there is no God-given authority in the world because all authorities are to some greater or lesser extent corrupt.
@101
Since you have broached the subject, a short comment as you need to study history. Christ founded the Catholic Church, HIS CHURCH, on Peter. Matt. 16:18
The Orthodox, and others, do not recognize Peter's authority, ergo, they are not in the right Church. John 10:1
@104: obviously I don't think Matthew 16:18 says what you think it says. We agree on the words, but not on their import.
@67
the last i saw, the estimable Mr. John C. Wright was still defending Pound-Me-In-The-France-Ass.
so, at a minimum, you'd be schismatic to Mr. Wright.
It doesn't matter if Mr. Wright THINKS I'm a schismatic. I'm not schismatic because I don't think Francis can possibly be the Pope.
and, seriously? "Queen of the Universe"? you don't see any problems with CMRI?

Just because they happen to share the same title doesn't mean they're the same thing.
@87 Dirk Manly
How is a religion which is a vaneer overlaid on top of a foundation of Roman paganism the "ROOT" of Christianity, exactly, when compared to, say, the Greek Orthodox, the Syrian Church, and the Egyptian Coptics, which have direct connections to the Apostles WITHOUT ANY ROMAN PAGANISM
That's a good one. Roman Catholicism is infected with Roman paganism but the eastern Orthodox are completely clean from paganism of any kind? How does that work? Does this have something to do with your stupidity about Emperor Constantine somehow corrupting the Church in some way nobody is ever able to explain?
And at the same time, Protestant men commonly joined Masonic lodges, which actually practiced occult paganism, which was forbidden to Catholics.
Preserving the Greco-Roman legacy != actually worshipping Zeus or Jupiter. But I'm not sure we can say the same about the Masons and Isis and Osiris.
Your attitude is like abolishing the names of the days of the week because they reference Tiw and Woden and Thor.
I always ask my Catholic friends how Mary could be "ever virgin" when Matthew 1:24-25 denies the possibility.
@98 Peter Gent
I'll have to look more into this. It wouldn't change the fact that Jesus Himself was a virgin birth, though; and besides, if you're right and the verse means exactly what it says, marital relations are not a sin so it wouldn't affect her being immaculate.
@98 Peter Gent
As I suspected. You really need to stop second-guessing authorities all throughout history who were likely far more familiar than you are with the original Aramaic, such as St. Jerome.
"He took his wife" refers to "taking" her into Egypt. It doesn't have the English meaning.
And, "until" rules out relations before Jesus' birth, but it does NOT necessarily imply relations AFTER Jesus' birth.

they don't "share the same title". Queen of Heaven / the universe is not found anywhere in the Bible. nor is the concept in Scripture.
that's another appropriation of Pagan worship that the Roman Catholics stole.

that's not what he said. "Roman paganism" is clearly NOT the paganism of the entire rest of the planet.
and if any of us thought that the Orthodox Church held absolute ecclesiastical authority
...
we'd be Orthodox?
is that a trick question?

while that is a ridiculous reading of the text, it is remotely possible.
what DOES absolutely disprove it is the fact that Jesus had BROTHERS AND SISTERS.
of course, once you adopt the insipid principle of Perpetual Virginity, such that Mary is supposed to have been a virgin even at the moment that Jesus crowned through the birth canal, then Joseph could have sex with Mary as often as he liked.
because she would forever be a virgin due to her magical stretchy rubber hymen, you see.
"what DOES absolutely disprove it is the fact that Jesus had BROTHERS AND SISTERS."
@108 bob kek mando
Like James and John, the sons of... Zebedee? Aramaic had no word for "cousin", so they used this term. They were quite liberal in what they called "brothers" and "sisters". There are examples in other languages too. For example, the Greek word "phrater" originally meant "brother" (obviously) but came to mean "fellow clan member".
If Mary had had other children, Jesus would have had no reason to make an extra effort to tell John to adopt her while He was on the Cross. And if John was already her son, he wouldn't even have had to do that, it would have been understood.
@105. "obviously I don't think Matthew 16:18 says what you think it says. We agree on the words, but not on their import."
Gotta love the Protestants who believe only in the literal interpretation of the Bible, until it says something they don't like.
One of the reason why I left.
