> Meet Roland Bane...

Do a detect a pair of homages in the character's name?

Blogger James Jones September 12, 2018 1:17 PM

Great artwork. Winning!

Blogger James Dixon September 12, 2018 1:17 PM

Hmm. And that's only in the last name. There may be multiple ones in the first name too.

Blogger widlast washere September 12, 2018 1:18 PM

Is his knife named Durendal?

Blogger Wolfman at Large September 12, 2018 1:21 PM

So much winning.

Blogger James Dixon September 12, 2018 1:29 PM

> Is his knife named Durendal?

That's one of the possibilities, yes. The other one that comes to mind is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHWmxCoTV3Y

And both Bane's should be obvious to long time readers and followers of Chuck Dixon.

Blogger Longtime Lurker September 12, 2018 1:31 PM

If you really want to trigger the left, add a "destransitioning" trans-sexual character to Alt Hero.

The rees will be worth it.

Blogger maniacprovost September 12, 2018 1:34 PM

IDK, the Oxford comma really kills it for me. I may have to revoke my pledge;

or, if there is a Q-themed custom hand cannon reward tier, upgrade.

Blogger Azure Amaranthine September 12, 2018 1:35 PM

There's a good idea. Also working pray-the-gay-away.

Blogger Azure Amaranthine September 12, 2018 1:36 PM

"the Oxford comma"

In your imagination?

Blogger Xellos September 12, 2018 1:38 PM

He's a big guy.

Blogger Shimshon September 12, 2018 1:39 PM

That's not triggering at all.

Blogger maniacprovost September 12, 2018 1:39 PM

How much would it cost to get an issue where Roland Bane sets up shape charges to defend against an assassination attempt by black bloc pawns, and at some point yells, "TRIGGER THE LEFT! TRIGGER THE LEFT NOW!"

Blogger Sterling Pilgrim September 12, 2018 1:40 PM

Nice line-work there. OT. Looks like Jack P's book is doing really well. Congrats to the CH team!

Blogger Wolfman at Large September 12, 2018 1:43 PM

@7 You'd need custom built alien nanotech for that. Which could no doubt be arranged as part of personal services contract. Alt-Hero: Cosmic anyone?

Blogger VD September 12, 2018 1:51 PM

IDK, the Oxford comma really kills it for me.

Is that another name for "period"?

Blogger Hammerli280 September 12, 2018 1:55 PM

My first thought on seeing this was the opportunity to market a branded suppressor and pistol combo. :-)

Blogger Silent Draco September 12, 2018 1:57 PM

ALL RIGHT! In several senses. The B&W line work is awesome, with no need to color.

This is only a start. There are 11 other modern paladins who will need their tales told.

12 paladins + 5 star products = 17. This equals Q.

Blogger S. Thermite September 12, 2018 1:58 PM

Roland Bane...nice. Also rhymes with Roland Deschain.

Blogger DJ | AMDG September 12, 2018 2:04 PM

If you want to really trigger the left, get Dixon’s bibliographies updated on Wikipedia to include arkhaven, alt hero q and Avalon.

Blogger Matt September 12, 2018 2:24 PM

I can think of more than one Bane story that would make a great comic tale.

Blogger James Dixon September 12, 2018 2:32 PM

> If you want to really trigger the left, get Dixon’s bibliographies updated on Wikipedia to include arkhaven, alt hero q and Avalon.

Yeah, good luck with that.

Don't worry...I'll use Infogalactic links as my supporting documentation. That will shut down any complaints.

Blogger lowercaseb September 12, 2018 3:00 PM

On another note...In a perfect world Arkhaven would have the rights to Solomon Kane. I could see that A-H:Q tagline working for him as well.

Blogger Clay, Bill Clay September 12, 2018 3:05 PM

Wow, those words. Thats really good.

Blogger James Dixon September 12, 2018 3:39 PM

If you merely want to troll the maintainers, sure. Not that that's not a worthwhile endeavor.

Blogger maniacprovost September 12, 2018 3:45 PM

Is that another name for "period"?

Oh, not in Utica, no.

It's strictly an Albany expression.

Blogger The Greay Man September 12, 2018 3:54 PM

This is going to make the libtards flip. It's so great.

Blogger Greg Hunt September 12, 2018 4:04 PM

On the topic of Q, Neon Revolt flashed out an update that /greatawakening was down, followed by neonrevolt going down. Can anyone confirm this?

Blogger Zapp Brannigan September 12, 2018 4:04 PM

OT: /r/GreatAwakening on Reddit was taken down about an hour ago. Additionally /r/The_GreatAwakening, a new backup site, was immediately banned. The Great Awakening Voat account was purged today as well.

Think something big may be coming.

Blogger Greg Hunt September 12, 2018 4:05 PM

Nevermind. Neon previously posted that his server goes down whenever he posts a new entry.

Blogger Zapp Brannigan September 12, 2018 4:23 PM

https://www.reddit.com/r/TheBanout2018/

This SJW Borg collective is apparently responsible for the GA ban. It is a hugbox of a bunch of whiny concernfags who have decided to "ban every participant of a hateful harassing subreddit".

For a taste of just how Orwellian the place is, I checked out the first thread which discussed the progress of their project (and who they intend to target next) and saw that ANY comment that expressed disagreement was bot-purged and replaced with the following message:

"Your comment was removed because it isn't the phrase 'I fully support banout 2018' Feel free to make a new comment showing your support of this great cause."

Blogger LP999-16 September 12, 2018 4:30 PM

Badass cover, the character rocked it.

Blogger Azure Amaranthine September 12, 2018 4:31 PM

Don't worry maniac, I love me all the Oxford commas, and I'll provide you with plenty as well.

Blogger Hammerli280 September 12, 2018 4:34 PM

let me put it this way...Hurricane Florence will hit Thursday night/Friday early morning. Which means it will dominate the news cycle through the weekend.

But Monday? I could easily see Trump releasing the whole FISA application, including the stuff the FBI is so desperate to suppress, early next week. My fear is that he will release it without the appropriate criminal action. My HOPE is that Q is right, and the release will be part of a massive sweep that will arrest the whole pack of crooks for Seditious Conspiracy (among other crimes).

Make Prisons Full Again!

Blogger Resident Moron™ September 12, 2018 5:11 PM

Nice.

Still not tired.

Blogger Jack Ward September 12, 2018 5:25 PM

@37 Hammer
What do you mean, 'make prisons full again?' I don't want my tax monies feeding all the criminals and traitors. How about 'fill up Guantanamo, and construct more gallows and erect more crosses. Add in some guillotines and let the blood flow!

Blogger Azure Amaranthine September 12, 2018 5:45 PM

Just think, we can make myths into reality by actually processing their bodies efficiently.

Heh, heh heh.

Blogger Mega-Buster Shepard September 12, 2018 7:15 PM

Oh I cannot wait to get this in trade.

Blogger Sterling Pilgrim September 12, 2018 7:27 PM

The Oxford comma is the preferred usage by anyone who isn’t lazy. Those who don’t like it aren’t to be taken seriously.

Blogger Meng Greenleaf September 12, 2018 8:11 PM

Backed!

Blogger tuberman September 12, 2018 8:27 PM

I liked the cover, and the name.

Blogger VD September 12, 2018 8:33 PM

Backed!

Excellent, thanks.

Blogger Beau September 13, 2018 1:07 AM

Bane comes back to life as a comic book hero. Priceless.

Blogger Jamie-R September 14, 2018 1:03 AM

Remember also, that as time has moved on, it's clear Bane was a Boomer poster. He's Dinesh with a blog about guns, tits, trying to get into Pamela Geller's pants, & Pat Buchanan shooped as a Nazi.
