Perspective

The "everybody is a proto-American" anti-nationalists simply don't understand how utterly and eminently fake their version of American history is.
298 years after the first English colony, Roanoke Island, was established in the current US…

276 years after the first permanent English settlement in the current US…

107 years after the Declaration of Independence was written…

100 years after we won our independence from the United Kingdom…

95 years after the US Constitution was ratified…

88 years after the Naturalization Act of 1795 (‘naturalization is reserved for free white persons) was passed…

3 years after the 1880 Census found the US to have a population of over 50 million…

And 1 year after the passage of the Chinese Exclusion Act (passed in the House by a margin of 5.5 to 1, and US law for 61 years)…

…Emma Lazarus comes along to tell us what the United States is *really* about. Thank God we had her instead of 298 years of law and history to draw from.
The irony is that anti-nationalist Christians and conservatives are guaranteeing that the only prospect for American survival is ruthless inquisition. I doubt the Next Americans, as Steve Sailer dubs them, or the Third Americans as we Native Americans consider them to be, are going to be gracious enough to grant them reservations. Despite dispossessing them of their land, the Second Americans retained some regard and respect for their predecessors. The Third Americans observably hate and envy the people they are in the process of dispossessing.

If you want to learn more about the truth of American history, and how conservatives have betrayed America and put its continued existence at risk, read Cuckservative.

The American Inquisition will be conducted by the Heretics of St. Possenti.

All it took was a few swipes of a kike's pen to deliver the mortal wound to the greatest nation God ever created.

Talk about David and Goliath.

Not really #3 the crazy WASP virtue signalers from the NE of this country virtue signaled their way to the top and our Jewish cousins joined in the competition and thru nepotism and a better verbal shtick took over.

I spot one unforced error by our jewish cousins they wish to rule as foreigners thinking that in a multi-cultural "country" being a powerful bloc separate and unequal amongst other privileged groups is peachy and sustainable.

Her poem is part and parcel of the Fabian Socialist thinking that was popular back then. That's partly why people swallowed it whole without thinking about it.

It's just a poem.

The New Colossus
BY EMMA LAZARUS
Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
“Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!” cries she
With silent lips. “Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

Who's with me for going to NYC and ripping that damnable poem off of the statue?

Blogger Dirk Manly September 08, 2018 10:04 AM

Worst part ... the statue was originally supposed to be a gift to Egypt, but they refused it, on the grounds of it being a pagan edifice.

Progeny
Explicitly, and nearly exclusively WASP through the early 1800s, and Western European until the Civil War. They constitute the progeny referred to for which the Revolutionary War was fought, the host nation. One could be charitable, disregarding the ratification validity of the 13th Amendment, and accede the American Black's second host nation status. Either way, their ancestry is America's Westphalian dasein and skin in the game as such. Imagine the laconophillic Founders' dismay at a Gipper gifting suffrange to helots, perioikoi, and women-- "The [Cuckservatives & their Allied Pets] will sell us the rope with which we will hang them." -- V.I. Lenin. A DSM entry for "Cuckservative Appeasement Syndrome as Suicidal Self Harm" is needed.

If a Japanese or Mexican says what Vox is saying, most will just nod their head and muse wonders to and of the culture in question. Probably throw in a jab at the USA, you know, for Virtue Signaling race/good Proggie cred. Now, if an American, a person whose family has been in the country long before it was, dares to say what VD has said, boy oh boy, you're the Devil himself!
Another telling of when you are dealing with someone of The Left: If X is approved of in every other nation and culture, but not Western Culture, and certainly not the USA. And forget talking about Christianity, but, you know, Islam, Scientology, and the Mormons are just fine. Same deal, same test. It's ok for them to have an identity and foot in the Culture, but not us. We dare not even speak about it.

"…Emma Lazarus comes along to tell us what the United States is *really* about. Thank God we had her instead of 298 years of law and history to draw from."

The Statue of Liberty was created by French artists to serve as a lighthouse and guard the port....much like the ancient Colossus of Rhodes (one of the wonders of the ancient age). This statue was to land at the port of Alexandria. It had been mostly built when the Egyptians decided to cancel the order. Why, is hard to say for certain. Some claim they simply did not have the money to pay for it and thought they might get a discount or some wealthy Englishman might pony up some of the money. The other claim was that they simply did not like the statue...and it was a woman, which would be a bit odd for Muslims. Yes, they are much more chauvinistic than Western men.

Anyway, the French seemed to be stuck with an outsized copper statue with no home. Some people in New York City (not the state or the US Government) thought it would be terrific to land the second-hand statue on an island near New York harbor. They tried to get Federal participation, claiming it was really a lighthouse...a Federal responsibility in the Constitution, but the Feds were not interested. After all, the statue was not complete and the French needed some money to finish it, but they really needed a place to park the statue.

Before there could be a statue of that size, there needed to be a permanent base for it to stand on and nobody wanted to pay for the massive base, so the do-gooders in New York City tried all kinds of ways to raise money to pay for the base for the statue. One popular magazine decided to have a poetry contest. There was no cash prize, but the winner of the contest would get their poem on the base built for the statue. Some editorial changes were made to the statue and the civic groups in New York City raised the money to pay for the base and the Statue of Liberty was assembled within sight of the city.

The Statue of Liberty was never a Federal project, the poem was selected by the magazine, and a century passed until anyone thought it was anything other than a tourist attraction. (The lighthouse thingy was a complete flop since it never had enough light for that purpose. The Feds discontinued that aspect after repeated fail.) The magic words were little more than graffiti on a stone wall, certainly never Federal policy.

A lovely sentiment, but there may be some contract rights involved. After all, that was the poem that won the magazine contest.

The best bet may be copyright law. If they bothered to copyright the poem.... (A magazine at the time might think to do that.)....then it has probably expired and the contract is for a poem that nobody actually owns anymore. And the contract may not be valid in the State of New York, since there was no cash consideration, just a performance, which has been met. The courts take a dim view of any promise in perpetuity and 135 years of US history is pretty darned close to perpetuity.

If the poem must remain on the base of the statue, perhaps it is time for a refurb surfacing of the base with a fresh new tile facia. Checkerboard pattern was always my favorite and black and white would be appropriate.

Never really saw the literal truth behind a giant statue of a woman that invites migrants into the country until now... Like a giant adultress leaving a light out so the man she's cheating on her husband with can come find her.

Too bad it's not small enough for us to tie a truck to it and drive off.

Blogger Ned September 08, 2018 1:58 PM

If we can convince the Prozis that the statue was a gift from a white male to other white males and thus a symbol of the patriarchy they'll tear it down for us.

Peter is a good man, but he is an immigrant. It is a very unusual immigrant who is able to recognize, let alone state, that immigration is the core problem and the cause of identity politics. The answer to identity politics is very straightforward: tribal borders.

What kills me is that’s the CivNats have had decades to come up with answers to how, exactly, civic nationalism is supposed to work, and they have given us absolutely nothing but platitudes:

- “Proto-American!”
- “Natural conservative!”
- “They’re Americans who just don’t know it yet!”
- “American identity is based on ideas!”

Yes, because every immigrant is well-versed in Lockean principles of limited government, is familiar with the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, the Federalist AND Anti-Federalist Papers, and knows their Austrian economics inside and out.

Never answered: How do you screen for “who believes in American ideals?” Also: No answer or even consideration of the obvious logic of their civic nationalism: America, then, belongs to whomever arrives in greatest numbers, their ideas about “American exceptionalism” be damned.

America is exceptionally stupid in this regard.

Damn these civic nationalist cucks. This country is beyond broken on large part because they don’t even understand what’s this country is. But at least they feel really good about themselves!

I read Cuckservative. Underneath an easy read there's a serious study of how immigration affected American politics.

Which brings up an interesting thought: The Democrats, since the Civil War, have been the party of The Newcomers. They were the party of Wave 4b (Irish) and Wave 5 (Italian/Polish/Eastern European Jews) immigration during the 20th Century. And are now trading those groups in on Wave 6 (Mexican/Central American) immigrants. The Dems haven't been an American party since before the Civil War.

Emma Lazarus was a hardcore zionist. How about we take that plaque off the Statue of Liberty and attach is to the Wailing Wall?
