Alavida Nimrata

Not that the UN matters, but it will be good to have Nimrata Randhawa out of both federal and state government.
President Trump has accepted Nikki Haley's resignation as UN Ambassador, according to two sources briefed on their conversation. The timing of her departure is still unclear. She spoke out strongly in favor of Christine Blasey Ford after the university professor levied an accusation of sexual assault against Judge Brett Kavanaugh.
Ideally, the God-Emperor won't even bother to replace her. It will be interesting to learn if this is just part of the ebb-and-flow of politics or an element of a larger shakeup taking place.

Blogger tublecane October 09, 2018 10:26 AM

I assume she will be replaced, and probably with a neocon. Alas, that's the way it is.

I continue to be surprised that so many people are sentimental about a woman who's known for nothing but one rah-rah-Israel moment and her race/parents' immigration status (at least outside her home state). Is that truly all it takes?

Jennifer Rubin--who is a fraud and dumb, granted--appears to seriously think she should primary Trump. Based on what? Female, brown, Israel. That's it.

She defended Trump against that idiotic anonymous op-ed pretty well. And she did what Trump asked her to do at the UN. So while I never have liked her.. I have no complaints. My knee jerk is... she wants to run for governor again or the senate. Or she wants to be federal judge.

Blogger Nate October 09, 2018 10:42 AM

Too me every time the UN has an important vote it always get vetoed.

Correct me if i am wrong but the UN was set up to facilitate world peace. But war is prevalent has it use to be. What is the point of the UN if not to resolve conflict.

Infogalactic entry for Nikki Haley:

Haley was born Nimrata Nikki Randhawa in Bamberg, South Carolina, on January 20, 1972, to an Indian Sikh family. She was "always called Nikki, which means 'little one,' by her family."

Wikipedia entry for Nikki Haley:

Haley was born Nimrata Randhawa in Bamberg, South Carolina, to an Indian American Sikh family. She changed her name to "nikki" so hayseeds from the south wouldnt condemn her for being muslim.

That's actually mildly amusing. But whoever edited the Wikipedia entry is late Gen X at the very least, cuz nobody under the age of 40 knows what "hayseed" means.

The UN is joke, EXCEPT for the security council, and then it is still weak. Without the UN, the largest military and economic powers would broker deals anyway.

Blogger CJ October 09, 2018 10:59 AM

Trump got as much out of her as could be gotten, and now she has self-destructed over Kavanaugh so few will regret her departure. Amazing how Trump seems to manage this with so many people.

Blogger tublecane October 09, 2018 11:04 AM

@15- The General Assembly and Security Council are the political side of the U.N., but it has its own bureaucracy and presumably its own Deep conspiracies.

There's the international court, of course, which wields some power. But most of it is specialized agencies and subsidiary bodies that operate much like government bureaus, NGOs, and Foundations. You'll hear news daily about "U.N. report blah-blah-blah says 30 million Africans need another goat." And that has an actual effect on real-world policy.

Blogger Garuna October 09, 2018 11:04 AM

Like Nate said, she had some good moments at the UN, delivering Trump's messages with a bit of his attitude. That was more than we expected from her, and was probably only going to last so long. It's not enough to keep her around if she's going to pull a McCain over solidarity with another woman that the whole world knows was lying.

Is the UN really as powerful and important as the media establishment tell us?

I've seen leftists in the last week beg the UN to occupy the US, remove the "illegitimate" president and his Justices, and set everything aright. So they certainly think it has power. Of course, they also think they live in a dystopian patriarchy, so....

I do not understand the term "Alavida", sorry. The first thing I found on the internet regarding this was:
An alcohol addiction treatment company made its debut in Toronto last week, offering up a controversial program that allows alcoholics to keep drinking.

And while others insist abstinence is essential, Alavida Health insists its harm reduction method is resonating with booze addicts who have not found success elsewhere.

Blogger doctrev October 09, 2018 11:25 AM

Resigned to spend time with her family? Yeah, right. She's finished: it was a good run messing globalists about and looking "tough," but if it takes that much out of her she's not going to be a major part of MAGA.

Which is fine by me. Maybe we can get someone who doesn't kick dirt on Southerners, if the UN has to have a delegate at all.

Getting them to destroy themselves publicly is the best result for a real estate developer. After 5 decades, I'm pretty sure he's become so expert at it that he does it without even thinking. Yes, the way-too-bright lipstick shade was one of the things that always bothered me about Swift, along with her waifish figure and some of her aggressive photo poses. Lucille Ball wore candy apple red on stage though, as have many other female performers, and there are many waifs strutting the catwalks. So what I needed was a preponderance of evidence.

Blogger DonReynolds October 09, 2018 4:17 PM

"Lucille Ball wore candy apple red on stage though, as have many other female performers, and there are many waifs strutting the catwalks. So what I needed was a preponderance of evidence."

1. That was a VERY different time -- you're talking WW2 through the Eisenhower years. The vast majority of women had really toned it down with the lipstick by the 1970's. The completely anti-sexual (not merely asexual) black-lipstick-wearing women would have been wearing bright red lipstick during that era.

Catwalk models: they're SUPPOSED to be outrageous. Look at the "fashions" they display. Every concept is exaggerated by a factor of 20x. If a designer wants to encourage padded shoulders, he'll stick dresses on the models that have shoulder boards the length of her arms. Plus, these days, the models are so waifish (I prefer slender women... but sheesh!) the bright red lipstick is the only way to distinguish between the female models from male models.

The wedding's off, it appears. And the moment it seemed so, Taylor emerged on stage at her show and did a rare acoustic solo of one of her old songs, "Speak Now", which is about stopping a wedding. (She's often known for mixing in her inter-personal goings-on with her song and lyric selections).

Then a week later she writes that Tweet about Blackburn. Seems like Taylor got her girl back, or thinks she did. The Blackburn tweet may have been part of the deal? Who knows.

On another note - I nearly became a field coordinator for the JBS. But, fortunately, it was never meant to be.
