Warming is not the problem

It's going to look mighty strange when all of the climate scammers abruptly change course and begin screaming about the need to warm up the planet again:
Professor Valentina Zharkova gave a presentation of her Climate and the Solar Magnetic Field hypothesis at the Global Warming Policy Foundation in October, 2018. The information she unveiled should shake/wake you up.

Zharkova was one of the few that correctly predicted solar cycle 24 would be weaker than cycle 23 — only 2 out of 150 models predicted this.

Her models have run at a 93% accuracy and her findings suggest a Super Grand Solar Minimum is on the cards beginning 2020 and running for 350-400 years.

The last time we had a little ice age only two magnetic fields of the sun went out of phase.

This time, all four magnetic fields are going out of phase.

Even if you believe the IPCC’s worst case scenario, Zharkova’s analysis blows any ‘warming’ out of the water.

Lee Wheelbarger sums it up: even if the IPCC’s worst case scenarios are seen, that’s only a 1.5 watts per square meter increase. Zharkova’s analysis shows a 8 watts per square meter decrease in TSI to the planet.
On the plus side, this should significantly reduce the trend of migration from the global south to the north. Perhaps it will even put some steel in the spine of Northern Europeans again.

"Northern Europeans", that brings a chuckle to me this AM even though I am nearly of the purest Northern blood, blah blah blah I will note that we have become clowns as evidenced by the sinking of the frigate in Norway if Zerohedge is anywhere close to reporting the real story of the sinking. Reportedly 5 of the 6 officers in charge of navigation were women and the unsinkable ship had no personal losses because everyone ran for their lives instead of damage control.

Maybe when the globalist invaders of the North carry off their loot and women they take the social justus fanatics with them to sunny redoubts of the global South.

@4 Damn. A Norwegian Frigate sunk after a relatively minor collision? I say relatively minor because the tanker was mostly undamaged. If the rest of the fleet is of that quality they might as well scuttle them at the first sign of action. I look forward to ice crushing another frigates hull in the next 5 yearas.

Blogger Dirk Manly November 23, 2018 9:23 AM

And.....

Despite the collision being a Norwegian Frigate(*) being rammed by a large petroleum tanker(**) which enjoys right-of-way over nearly every sort of ship except a super-carrier(***) which was in voice radio communication with the frigate and warning it to turn away as they were in danger of collision...

Here is the radio traffic between the small frigate, and the big huge honking tanker which has right of way, due to both size and inferior maneuverability:

Tanker: Helga Ingstad, is that you approaching us?
Helga Ingstad: Yes, that's us.
Tanker: Pass us on the starboard side.
Tanker: Helga Ingstad, you should do something, you're too close.
Tanker: Helga Ingstad, make a turn now, we're going to collide now.
Tanker: I've collided with it.
Unidentified: Roger that.

Conclusion?

... it's really all the fault of RUSSIA! RUSSIA! RUSSIA!

Norway is claiming that Russian Army troops in the Kola Peninsula were jamming the GPS signal. Now the Kola peninsula is several hundred miles away, and the collision was inside a Fjord, which should shield any receiver from any land-based jamming where the jammer's transmitter isn't sitting on the rim of the fjord.

Once again, basic seamanship skills (using Optical Dectector, Eye, Mark 1) were ignored supposedly because everybody was too busy looking at a GPS-driven electronic map (which, apparently didn't have radar [Radio DETECTION AND RANGING] data also plotted on it.... something I find very unlikely on a modern warship]

(*) 5,200 tons, highly maneuverable, with a high power/mass ratio, capable of quick acceleration

(**) 62,500 tons, low maneuverability, with a low power/mass ratio, incapable of quick acceleration

From here:
https://business.financialpost.com/opinion/lawrence-solomon-proof-that-a-new-ice-age-has-already-started-is-stronger-than-ever-and-we-couldnt-be-less-prepared

Habibullo Abdussamatov, the head of space research at Pulkovo and the author of the study, has been predicting the arrival of another little ice age since 2003, based on his study of the behaviour of the Sun's different cycles and the solar activity that then results. His model -- informed by Earth's 18 earlier little ice ages over the past 7,500 years, six of them in the last thousand years -- led to his prediction more than a decade ago that the next little ice age would occur between 2012 and 2015. Unlike the global warming models of scientists, which were soon disproved by actual measurements, Abdussamatov's models have been affirmed by actual events, including the rise of the oceans and the measurable irradiance sent earthward by the sun. This record of accuracy -- which he has repeatedly demonstrated in studies between 2003 and now -- leads him to now confidently state that in 2014-15, we began our entry into the 19th Little Ice Age.

Same source: back in 2015
a team of European researchers {http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/jul/12/mini-ice-age-likely-from-2030-to-2040-european-sci/} unveiled a scientific model at the National Astronomy Meeting in Wales predicting a "mini ice age" from 2030 to 2040 as a result of decreased solar activity.

Data from GISP (Greenland Ice something-something Project) shows that some "drops" from interglacial warmth to deep ice age have occurred in as few as three years; for which the limiting factor is a three-year span is as 'fine' as they are currently able to measure.

Are ice cores definitive? Eh, mezze-mezz'; they may be the best 'history' we've got... but they're still proxies.

When I look at how long the heavy glaciation lasted, I conclude glacial-sheet effect weather becomes self sustaining for dozens or hundreds of millennia, and we only got out of the last one because of meteorite impact and severe volcanic activity.

What do you think Yellowstone was like during the last glacial maximum?

A youtuber called Florida Maquis has been doing so.e programmes on these collisions. He reckons that after the collision the ship was deliberately scuttled because there is tech on there that is secret (he thinks power plant for laser weaponry).

@RusticFederalist, volcanic eruptions cool the atmosphere, not warm it. Solar minima appear to be related to increased volcanic activity and earthquakes.

Yes, a real little ice age would put the cat amongst the pigeons so to speak. The main problem will be that the land available for growing food will diminish greatly, along with the timeframe for growing ie instead of (say) a 5 month window for growing we might only have 3 months. As Dave DuByne of Adapt2030 says: agriculture will have no option but to go inside. Wendy's (The burger place) race you announced they will be buying tomatoes from indoor growers and Russia has announced they want all their agriculture to go indoors. See: Adapt2030, ice age farmer.

international maritime rules require that boats and ships bear to their starboard in a channel. and that evasive action, when possible, be taken to starboard.

Helge was bearing starboard to port across the bow of the tanker AND took evasive action to port.

the problem with this being that when you watch live radar tracks, there are three vessels to the starboard of the tanker tracking parallel and in the same orientation as the tanker.

so the Helge not only took an improper course and improper evasive action, her port turn could have also put her into one of the other northbound ships in the channel.

the tanker already was as far starboard as she could bear due to the other ships off of her starboard side. also, we don't actually see the channel markings on the radar map, just the land.

That makes no sense. You tow the ships with ships having friendly crews -- preferably ships of your own navy, or an allied navy that knows about the tech. And you keep an armed contingent on board (every navy ship DOES have an arms locker full of rifles and pistols, as do a lot of civilian ships, too). There's no excuse for flooding a ship, especially if it has cutting edge tech on it, when you can just do isolation (shut the damned bulkhead doors and dog them so no water gets through.) This particular Norwegian frigate was even billed as being "unsinkable" due to it's watertight compartmentalization.

Additionally, this ship was not merely in friendly waters, but within a fjord, such that the 12-mile national waters limit was several miles MORE than 12 miles away.

There's NO excuse for letting this thing sink as it did. There's literally no excuse for 2 compartments being damaged to take the entire ship down. These ships are DESIGNED to survive a hit by an anti-ship missile and get home to port.

Crew didn't perform damage control (immediately sealing all bulkeads).

Not to mention getting hit by a HUGE ship that's travelling in a straight line path (because it must adhere to the shipping channel), in broad daylight, with no visibility issues.

Yeah, sure ;^)

I am going to hazard a guess about his ship. Norway wants more females in their command ranks. One outcome is a single male navigator who is training six females. Thus seven on a single ship. You can't blame the babes directly for the problem, they are trainees. The male? He should have known better but was distracted by female trainees, at least some of which where sweet young babes. Blame the man all you want, but if the desire is to avoid the loss of ships, don't create this kind of situation on the command decks.

You don't use that sort of advantage except on an in-combat basis. The danger of your target figuring out they have a problem and fixing before you can exploit it is far too high.

Do the European defense contractors get a lot of electronic components from China, by any chance?

Blogger Brett baker November 23, 2018 7:36 PM

No, but Atlanta developed a Chicago climate in about 10 years. And back in 10 years, sometimes 5 times a century. 75 day corn, group 0 beans, spring wheat and barley, chickpeas and buckwheat will be an interesting crop mix. Oh, oats and rye, too.

@27 Dirk Manly

In my imagination, it went something like this:

Tanker: Helga Ingstad, is that you approaching us?

Helga Ingstad: How dare you! I'm not approaching you, you're approaching me!

Tanker: Pass us on the starboard side.

Helga Ingstad: Don't tell me what to do, you sexist homophobic misogynistic nazi white supremacist! *while waving hand at each point like Hillary Clinton*

Tanker: Helga Ingstad, you should do something, you're too close.

Helga Ingstad: Are you trying to rape me?!

Tanker: Helga Ingstad, make a turn now, we're going to collide now.

Helga Ingstad: Ummm, your starboard, or my starboard?

Tanker: I've collided with it.

Pepe: Roger that.

Read the book: "Not By Fire But By Ice" - Robert W. Felix
It will give you a better understanding about the process.

Blogger Welsh Woodsman November 23, 2018 8:13 PM

I was deer hunting the other day. Over a foot of snow in the woods and night time lows of below zero. Unprecedented. While moving along on snowshoes I stumbled across a group of three bull moose. If it was a period of true scarcity - one of them would have been shot. It would have fed my family and those of my closest friends for an entire year.
If we truly are entering a mini ice age, northern climates will become uninhabitable to only those who are proficient in the woods . Agriculture alone cannot support you in this environment.
There is a series of historical weather books written by David Ludlum. One in particular - "Early American Winters 1604-1840" really gives the reader a taste of what life was like here in New England during the tail end of the last mini ice age.. If you lived in the northern New England your growing season was pretty much four months and only two of those were frost free...and even that was not guaranteed. You had to learn to subsist using the natural flora and fauna that was around you...or you died.
One silver lining - the Somalians will finally leave Maine.

Blogger Welsh Woodsman November 23, 2018 8:21 PM

"if an ice age hits by 2020, maybe I shall see a liberal admit they were wrong in my lifetime"

Instead you will see a modern day Oliver Cromwell committing mass genocide against them.
Incidentally, Cromwell came to power during the last mini ice age. According to Martin Armstrong , Cromwell's ascendance was due ,in large measure, to the famine stresses caused by repeated crop failures.

hrm. you know how i pointed out that Helge could easily have gone into the path of one of the outboard ships?

"Since Norway doesn’t have Cabotage Law that prohibit foreign ship in the coastal trade and many of those ships are manned by foreigners, it is necessary to follow IMO rules of communication, just like in aviation, where even communication between the flight deck and the cabin crew is in English, even on domestic flight.

In this case it was lucky that the Mate on the Vestbris reacted correctly, otherwise he could have T-booned [ sic ] either the frigate or the tanker that suddenly was right in his path. If he had been aware of what had been said between the VTS and the two vessel involved, he could have taken evasive action much earlier
."

"It is not possible for four cyclic things to be mutually out of phase with one another."

Plot one sine wave: Y1 = sin t.
Plot another: Y2 = sin 3/2 t.

Note that some intervals, Y1 and Y2 both rise and fall together, in other intervals, Y1 rises while Y2 falls, and vice-versa.

Completely "in sync" is when both cross the zero at the same time, in the same direction... or any other time when Y1=Y2 AND both have a positive or both have a negative slope at that moment ... or if both reach their local maxima at the same time... or both reach their local minima at the same time

"
My guess. When the final report comes out he was getting head in the head"

Even then it should not matter. When I was a teenager, and we used to sail on the Great Lakes, learning the Right-of-Way rules took me all of 30 seconds.

1. ALWAYS give way to a larger vessel.
Sola TS bigger than Helga.
Sola TS has right of way.

2. If 1 does not resolve right-of-way, then a vessel is to your right-hand side, you give way to it.

Helga's course was such that she crossed Sola TS's bow with Sola on Helga's Right.
Helga then turned to the left, making this EVEN MORESO.

3) If heading towards each other, both vessels maneuver so as to pass such that your own vessel is to the right of the other vessel (drive on the right-hand side of the road). Port side is right, Starboard side is left. Pass ON the Starboard means as the vessels pass, the starboard (left) sides of the two vessels should be towards each other, and the port (right) sides away from each other.

Sola TS was directing Helga to do exactly that.

Sola TS will be found blameless -- they were traveling at only 5 knots according to the video of the radar, and had NO room for maneuverability caged in by ships on her port, and shallow waters to her starboard, AND has substantially more draft (depth below waterline) than Helga, even when empty. And Sola TS had just pulled out of the oil terminal after taking on a full load.

Sola TS will be found faultless.
Unless the US Navy officer was officer of the deck, I doubt he will be found to be at fault for anything with regards to this incident.

Any 12-year old kid who isn't mentally deficient can be trained to con a small craft and be trusted to to do the right thing in a matter of about 30 minutes.

ALWAYS let bigger ships do what they're gonna do, so just avoid them.
Keep all potential "problem" ships on your left-hand side
When head-on, always pass to YOUR OWN RIGHT.

And the thing is, none of these rules even conflict with each other, if you apply them in that order.

Summary http://science.sciencemag.org/content/362/6416/733

Ask medieval historian Michael McCormick which year was the worst to be alive, and he's got an answer: "536." In that year, a mysterious fog plunged Europe, the Middle East, and parts of Asia into darkness, day and night—for 18 months. Summer temperatures dropped 1.5°C to 2.5°C, initiating the coldest decade in the past 2300 years. Snow fell that summer in China; crops failed; people starved. Historians have long known that the middle of the sixth century was a dark hour in what used to be called the Dark Ages, but the source of the mysterious clouds has long been a mystery. Now, after analyzing volcanic glass particles in ice from a Swiss glacier, a team of researchers has identified the culprit: A cataclysmic volcano in Iceland spewed ash across the Northern Hemisphere early in 536.

Periods of solar 'hibernation' such as the current sunspot-less period, are accompanied by large increases in (massive) volcanic and earthquake activity.

No one is sure why. One persuasive idea is the combined weakening of the Earth's magnetic shield, and the increase in 'solar pressure' (don't remember which/what kind -- solar winds? cosmic rays?) that 'pushes' differently on the filled balloon that is the planet. Squishing pressure applied differently to the surface, causing plates and faults to act up.

And of course, they just 'discovered' a very large crater under the Greenland ice (NASA Goddard):

We Earthlings are revolving and rotating in a shootin' gallery! DUCK!

The Electric Universe faction has a very elegant explanation for this. Based on evidence, they believe the sun and other stars glow due to being within large, galactic currents, NOT nuclear fusion. As someone who did very well (399 out of a possible 400 points.... with no credit given for homework) in electro-magnetics physics at Purdue, the Electric Universe guys have no problems with data accumulating which significantly contradicts fundamental assumptions in their theory, as opposed to the ever more rickety scaffolding of the Big Bang/Dark Matter/Dark Energy/Only Gravitational Forces are at play at interstellar distances/Black Holes/Nuclear Fusion stars/"Accretion disk" theory/Neutron stars/etc. orthodoxy.
