There are a number of signs that will alert us if Jordanetics begins to transform into a full-blown religious cult. For example, if Peterson’s followers start to establish international connections around the world and start founding institutions for the study and propagation of the 12-Rule Path, that will be a reliable indicator that what one fan has told us “feels like a movement” has evolved into an advanced form of Jordanetics that represents a realization of the post-Christian vision originally proposed by Yeats.
- Jordanetics, Chapter 19: The Cult of Jordanetics

Yeah, so, about that....

Looks like Camille Paglia is on board.

"... Peterson is recovering and restoring a peak period in North American thought, when Canada was renowned for pioneering, speculative thinkers like the media analyst Marshall McLuhan and the myth critic Northrop Frye. I have yet to see a single profile of Peterson, even from sympathetic journalists, that accurately portrays the vast scope, tenor, and importance of his work."

I think that the time for that has passed by because you have rebuked Petersonites' idol for good. After your book, Jordan is finished.

>This is a group inspired by the message and example of Jordan B Peterson. It has two main functions:
1) A group of like-minded individuals, serious about sorting ourselves out. We share our goals and progress with each other, hold each other accountable, and provide support and encouragement on our journeys to better ourselves.
2) a forum to learn and discuss various aspects of Prof Peterson's message, including but not limited to these fields: Jungian thought in all its aspects, Masculinity/Femininity, Spirituality, Literature, Philosophy, Psychology, Mythology, Science, Metaphysics, etc.

I clicked the link and found that KC is a hot-bed of lobsterism. Looking at the profiles of the 200 plus local members was interesting. A lot of women members, and looking at the other groups they belong to, a heavy bent towards self-help, pseudo-intellectualism, and a smattering of anime-rights activists.

Jordan Peterson is not right wing, he may be crazy, he may have been close to Soros and intended to be controlled op. All that is true.

But since America and Western Europe are already under the sway of the insane progressive cult which hates white people, hates men and hates Christians and since Jordan's fans tend to hate progressives and not hate Christians or White men why would the spread of Jordanetic's be a negative for us even if Jordan Peterson himself is as bad as you say he is.

You need a religion to fight a religion and I don't see any short term prospect for a revival of Christianity in the West. Sometimes the enemy of your enemy is your friend. Let Jordanetics spread everywhere... you go on jihad with the prophet you have.

Blogger Mr. Deficient December 05, 2018 8:45 AM

@11 the religion of the globalists is the thing that let the Muslims in to begin with. People turn to nationalism and Christianity in times of trouble, Jordanetics is there to stop them from doing that. It's like replacing The Great Wall of China with a sign that says "come on in" and wondering why people are coming in.

On another note, I have to say even though Peterson's main shtick is the dominance hiearchy, Vox's explanation of the sociosexual hierachy strikes me as infinitely more robust, if a little harder for people to wrap their heads around (alot of guys don't like the prospect of being Omega or Gamma and there is a disproportionate amount online).

Blogger Garuna December 05, 2018 8:48 AM

Because Peterson isn't converting progressives, you moron. He's converting the dissident centrists/right-wingers into cucks. This is exactly the kind of attitude that got us stuck with fake right neocons for half a century. In the end, they couldn't even conserve the women's toilet. IDW is just neoneocons.

Because, in addition to being evil, Jordanetics is a cult of surrender. There is literally nothing positive in it.

Some people are naturally very religious and some are not. Nationalism tends to pick up Southern evangelical Christians (in the United States, I won't speak for Europe) and cynical irreligious type people who don't buy into the progressive bullshit (as their cult still has a stranglehold on the media so it requires a certain amount of cynicism to make the judgement that the media is a controlled and hostile entity). The problem is now that progressivism tends to pick up most of the naturally religious people in both the United States and Western Europe. If you are the type of person who needs to believe in something in the US right now, its most likely you'll end up believing in 57 genders.

Jordanetics is going more for the naturally religious people market then the cynics market, so it will tend to pick up more people who would have ended up as progressives then people who would have ended up as nationalists.

The only other religion that has any life to it right now is Islam (and maybe not for long as MBS has stopped funding it) and while Islam will certainly remove feminism and progressivism (though not globalism because Islam is globalist as hell) I think we all agree it has massive other problems.

Now is Meetup.com smart enough to auto generate something like that, or does someone have to create a Meetup account I do that? What I’m wondering is whether someone created 100s of JBP Meetups across the globe and simply left them open for people in a particular location to find, because that would most certainly be damning.

"Now is Meetup.com smart enough to auto generate something like that, or does someone have to create a Meetup account I do that?"

Meetup, just like Google Maps, uses the same technique that runs http://iplocation.net. That's how they get a good-enough grid for your location, AND for all the other meetups, with which they can determine the distance between you and them.

If your location comes up with the name of a locality that's not on the meetup list, then Meetup auto-generates a meetup for you, and asks you to be it's leader.

I remember reading that book by Gardner -- there were a number of his early books in my high school's library.

For those who want to read it:

Fads & Fallacies In the Name of Science
The Curious theories of modern pseudoscientists and the strange, amusing and alarming cults that surround them. A study in human gullibility.

Some of the fads are a little dates, and some of them are seeing a revival

L. Ron Hubbard
Psionic Machines
Flying Saucers
Wilhelm Reich
Dr. W. H. Bates
Alfred Korzybski
Atlantis
Eccentric Sexual Theories
Bridey Murphy

I think Gardner misunderstood Korzybski, as Korzybski's ideas, especially "the map is not the territory," have generally proven to be useful, in the realms of NLP, Hypnosis, training methods, etc.

Two things strike me as being eminently beneficial now: (1) prayer, because without God we're doomed; and (2) perhaps infiltrating such meet-up groups.

I also tend to think that the reason many of these males are so beaten-down, downtrodden, is precisely because our feminized society devalues him, his work, and his very maleness.

It seems to me that the DNA compliment required to produce a population of humans capable of reconstituting the USA would be next to impossible to recover (not to mention no one knows what it is anyway).

If it is possible to recreate the conditions necessary for self selected individuals to remain while those unsuitable are encouraged to migrate (aka: paid to leave) then I believe we could approximate, maybe even improve, upon the foundation.

While the majority of people would be European - I'm guessing not nearly all. Though Northern selected populations may overall be most complementary to the behaviour needed to found this new version of the nation. Delayed gratification, work ethic, creativity, etc....

A good way to begin would be to encourage sterilization of low IQ and
low conscientiousness individuals. Who would be given the opportunity to accept paid migration. It's not ideal, but is more humane than war.

AA replaced the original "God" by "a higher power" a long time ago. Wonder what that did to the success rate.

Blogger Dirk Manly December 06, 2018 4:41 AM

AA's success rate is about 3%, which is lower than doing nothing.

Part of the problem is the first step is to IDENTIFY one's self as an alcoholic.

If you ARE something, that means that you are obligated to act in ways which are consistent with whatever it is you are. So, being an alcoholic obligates them to get out-of-control drunk on occasion.

A much better statement would be: "I never learned how to drink alcohol in a controlled, responsible manner."

This would change step one from being a statement of unchangeable identity, to one about identifying a problem, and stating what it takes to fix it.

@Dirk Manly
I always thought this "I am an alcoholic" statement sounded like cementing a temporary state into a permanent one.

Exactly.
Which is why it's a crime that judges ORDER people into 12-step programs... thereby making some people with a temporary problem into people with a PERMANENT problem.

This is not a blog to try to be pedantic on. Of course, Judas was replaced and the initial spread of Christianity after Pentecost was in fact spearheaded by twelve.
