Milo, Sargon banned by Patreon

They are just the latest. More will be coming soon.
Crowdfunding site Patreon this week banned the accounts of several controversial public figures, part of a wider push by tech companies to de-platform users linked to the alt-right and far right.

The accounts of British conspiracy theorist YouTuber Carl Benjamin, better known as Sargon of Akkad, and U.S. far-right political commentator James Allsup, were removed Thursday.

The fresh bans came a day after far-right activist Milo Yiannopoulos saw his account killed — just 24 hours after he set it up to fund a “magnificent 2019 comeback” tour. The former Breitbart editor was cut off because of his association with the far-right group Proud Boys, Patreon said.
On the plus side, Jordanetics has Jordan Peterson so worried about his collapsing right flank that he's decided to summon the powerful occult forces of the Ineffectual Dork Web and hold a marketing focus group meeting to determine what would be the best received response to these latest deplatformings.

Jordan B Peterson@jordanbpeterson
I'm doing everything I can to contact people in my circle and formulate a plan and response.

I don't know. That sounds a little too pathological to me. I understand that the best thing one can do when deplatformed is not to resist, complain, or attempt to act in concert with anyone else, but to simply focus on living a stalwart, meaningful, and high-quality individual life.

I repeat: build your own platforms. That's what we're doing already. More are on the way in the new year. Also, stop using and supporting converged platforms such as Patreon, Kickstarter, and IndieGoGo, where they actually make money off your business.

On the knowledge of God, part II

This continues from the previous post on divine intelligence and is a selection from the same chapter of The Irrational Atheist.

Despite the evidence and the logic presented previously, the skeptical reader may well ask if there isn't at least some element of omniscience or even omniderigence implied in the assertion of God's omnipotence. How can an all-powerful god not know what is going on around him? And is it really conceivable to imagine an all-powerful being sitting idly by and refusing to intervene in the affairs of humanity as they unfold? The answer, surprisingly enough, is suggested by Daniel C. Dennett in one of his more technical books.

Gods of the Machine
First, there is the activity of our hacker Gods, who are free to cast their eyes and minds over huge manifolds of possible Life worlds, trying to figure out what will tend to work, what will be robust and what will be fragile. For the time being, we are supposing that they are truly God-like in their “miraculous” interactions with the Life world - they are not bound by the slow speed of gliderlight; they can intervene, reaching in and tweaking the design of a creation whenever they like, stopping the Life world in mid-collision, undoing the harm and going back to the drawing board to create a new design.
- Daniel Dennett, Freedom Evolves

I am, as you may recall from the introduction, a game designer.1 Most of my experience has been with designing and producing computer games for the DOS/Windows platform, and I think it would be safe to say that the best adjective to describe my career would be “innovative” rather than “successful”. In 1996, following the release of id Software's Quake, my partner and I began designing our first true 3D game for GT Interactive. Our two previous games had been of the 2.5D first-person shooter variety, and although we managed to do some interesting and lucrative things with speech recognition technology and hardware bundling deals, we had not yet achieved the sort of market success or recognition within the game industry that we sought.

Youthful hubris, combined with a desire to surpass id's legendary pair of John Carmack and John Romero, led us to create a supremely ambitious design. Not only would we create our own 3D engine, but we would also create a multi-tiered artificial intelligence system that would allow for complete cooperation and two-way verbal interaction with AI-controlled squadmates fighting an opposition force made up of separate artificial intelligences in a three-dimensional, non-Euclidean world. The insane impracticality of this design can be seen in the way that ten years later, no electronic game has yet demonstrated even half of the technologies required to fully realize the concepts with which we were working. Nor are they likely to any time soon, as the success of Valve's Half-Life showed that gamers were perfectly happy playing through pre-programmed scripted scenarios, which requires neither sophisticated artificial intelligences nor complex synthetic speech systems.

The financial collapse of our publisher forced us to abandon this design, but not before we had managed to develop a significant chunk of both the TacAI, which governed individual activities such as ducking, dodging and laying down covering fire, as well as the StratAI, which made decisions about larger scale, goal-related matters such as what target its troops should be attacking first, when reinforcements should be summoned and when to fall back to a stronger position. Ironically, considering the topic of this book, we made use of a genetic programming approach in developing these artificial intelligences, a technique that makes use of evolutionary algorithms in an unnatural selection scheme favoring the survival of the optimally performing, or if you will, the fittest.

In this game world, the lead programmer, Big Chilly, reigned supreme. He was, precisely as Dennett describes the hacker gods of the Life world, quite literally omnipotent from the perspective of its denizens, able to create thunder, hurl lightning, shake the earth, create sickness or grant health according to his whim. He could perform miracles such as stopping time or even making time flow backwards, he could grant one character invulnerability while striking another dead in an instant. He was omniscient too, able to peek into an AI's “mind” to see what actions it intended as well as taking in the entire world at a glance. That which was unseen by the characters was not hidden from him, and he operated entirely outside their temporal references. Whereas they moved about in conventional time on a second-by-second basis, he had the ability to examine their movements in time-slices ranging from one-quarter to one-thirty-fifth of a second.

In short, Big Chilly was not only their creator, he was their God.

And while it would have been incredibly interesting had these artificial intelligences become self- aware and begun worshipping him, the project unfortunately came to an end before that could happen thanks to circumstances beyond our control. However, it didn't end before something of some relevance to the subject of this chapter took place.

Not long before our publisher, GT Interactive, went out of business, we were demonstrating the game to our executive producer and a few other GT employees. Big Chilly was playing through a POW rescue mission, a mission which he and others on the development team had played hundreds of times before throughout the course of playtesting. The mission involved one fireteam of AI troops making a diversionary attack on one side of the enemy base while the player led a second team around the other side to rescue the prisoners. Being the lead programmer, Big Chilly of course knew where all of the enemy troops were located because he was responsible for assigning their starting positions, and while the specific results of the scenario varied from one playing to another, the degree to which both friendly and enemy troop behavior varied from the norm was well-known.

During the demo, Big Chilly and the three AI-controlled members of his fireteam had successfully taken out both the wide patrol and the guards, and they were just beginning to lay the explosives to blow the door that held the prisoners captive when there was a sudden burst of bright laser fire that caused him to jump in his seat and emit a startled shriek loud enough to make everyone else in the room jump too. While his AI squadmates shot down the intruder before anyone's battlesuits took too much damage, what shocked Big Chilly was that for the first time in hundreds of playings and tens of thousands of simulations, an enemy AI had taken it upon itself to circle around behind the rescue force and attack it from an unexpected direction.

But how could this happen? How could a lowly artificial intelligence surprise a lead programmer who was demonstrably omniscient and omnipotent in the AI's world? How can the created do what the creator did not will? The answer, when viewed in this context, should be obvious.

Surprise was possible because the programmer was choosing not to exercise either his knowledge or his power at that particular point where real-time intersected game-time. While he could have easily provided that particular character with a scripted path and prevented the character from being able to depart from it, he had already elected not to do so. He could have constructed the character in such a way that its head would have exploded for the sin of attempted deicide, or even as punishment for the sin of merely daring to look upon him in all his pasty geek glory, but he did not do that either. And finally, while he could have been scanning that particular AI's “thought” processes and known what it intended to do in the very instant the intention was born, instead he refrained and so learned about its actions through entirely “natural” means.

If it is not difficult to accept that an omniscient and omnipotent programmer can reject omniderigence, why should it be hard to imagine that an all-powerful God might not choose to do the same? Even human lovers know that the lover cannot control the beloved, so it should not be difficult to believe that a loving God would permit His creatures to choose freely how they will live.

To absolutely no one's surprise, the conclusion is that the new Diversity & Comics graphic novel sucks. When a guy who can't write hires a guy who can't draw and doesn't even bother to hire anyone to color it, you're probably not going to get a very good result. Richard Meyer probably would have done well to have left off the lettering as well while he was at it. A review of Iron Sights posted in the Arkhaven Forums.
Okay, Comicsgate finally has real, tangible product to critique. I received Richard Meyer's (Diversity & Comics) second IndieGoGo project and Splatto Comics first release Iron Sights today, and ... well, it's a disappointment, I've got to say.

Meyer received these from the printer months ago, but because he was packaging and mailing them all himself, it took all this time to get them out to the backers. I must've been right at the tail end of the list. Glad he finished the job, but there are surely better ways to print, pack and ship comics. I can think of one (**DARK LEGION**), but it's entirely possible Meyer's book wouldn't even have qualified for the DL label. All its product to date has been far, FAR superior to this.

So what did I get for US$32? Well, the book is B&W with tones, roughly 120 pages (not numbered). The art is amateurish. If he's relatively new to the form, maybe there's long-term hope for Ibai Canales, as sometimes new comics artists progress by leaps and bounds. Alternatively, if he's already taken a few years to get to this point ... well, sorry, it's just not good enough. Every Arkhaven book in print currently is leaps and bounds ahead of Iron Sights both artistically and in terms of presentation and professionalism. Backgrounds are minimal, characters are off-model frequently enough that you often can't tell who's who, and Canales shows no real grasp of storytelling or sequential art. There were pages when I simply couldn't figure out what was happening.

Part of the problem may be Meyer's script, which in places cuts back and forth between scenes to the point that you don't even know where you are anymore. The other problem is the lack of color, which makes it next to impossible to distinguish similar-looking characters from one another. And there are plenty of those. (Clarity in B&W comics IS possible. Charlie Adlard on Walking Dead has no problem making it work, but his art is tight and his characters distinctively modeled, whereas Canales' is loose and scratchy enough that there are times I couldn't tell a rifle sight from a drainpipe, and all his blond men looked like the same old guy.)

Back when I ordered IS, I had watched more than a few D&C reviews of Marvel comics. Meyer's stern critiques of sloppy SJW pap fooled me into thinking he might have the chops to produce something superior. He certainly seemed to know bad when he sees it. That said, whatever made him think this book was him putting his best foot forward is a bit beyond me. He's obviously been reading those blood-soaked, profanity-filled early Jason Aaron Vertigo comics (I can't remember the series now -- some Indian reservation thing), because the random, pointless foul-mouthedness taints every second panel. Considering that Meyer keeps his language fairly clean in his YouTube videos, that was a surprise.

All in all, I'm glad I didn't throw major money at the project. D&C's sniping at Arkhaven has not been on the 2VS level, but it's certainly been regular enough that I would have expected him to produce more professional work than this. How is this in any way an improvement over whatever it is Meyer doesn't like about Arkhaven books? I don't get it.

If Iron Sights is at all representative of what Comicsgate writers and artists can be expected to produce, Vox and Arkhaven absolutely did the right thing by putting major distance between the brands.
Now, I will commend Meyer for doing what few critics dare to do and attempting to do something better himself. That is a courageous act for a critic. However, I will also observe that most critics have no idea how hard it is to actually avoid making the mistakes they critique so gleefully, nor are they often able to do any better themselves. It's not a surprise Richard Meyer, even in his second attempt, couldn't manage to create anything anywhere nearly as good as any of the 25+ comics Arkhaven and Dark Legion have published this year, and the contrast between Iron Sights and the beautiful, full-color, 152-page Right Ho, Jeeves omnibus when it appears next week will serve as an effective measure of the yawning gap between an amateur operation like Splatto and a professional one such as Arkhaven.

The fact that Meyer has been sneering non-stop at Arkhaven since our very first release only makes his subsequent pratfall in print all the more amusing. Compare the artwork; even when taking color out of the equation, there really is no comparison. Can you guess which image is Splatto and which is Arkhaven?

That's just the art. With regards to the writing, there is Richard Meyer on the one side, and The Legend Chuck Dixon adapting The Grandmaster John C. Wright on the other. I don't know about you, but I like our odds. And yup, yup, that is indeed Ruff.

There was a happy barking, and a dog that was half Border Collie and half who-knew-what came bounding up the stairs. He had a white muzzle and chest, black ears, black flanks, white stockings, and bright eyes with a black mask around them. However, he lacked any collar, dog tags, or fixed place of residence. He was Gil’s dog in every way but legally. Gil did not know where he went during the day or where he slept, and he thought it too nosy to ask.

Seeking their inner vikings

The Yellow Vest protests may spread to Sweden soon:
Around 1000 people participated in the 3-hour-long event outside the Swedish Parliament on Sunday.

Several speakers participated, including Sweden’s most active and well-known journalist and freedom fighter Katerina Janouch, Reader in Business Administration Jan Tullberg, and lecturer and writer Lennart Matikainen.

Janouch stated that Sweden has gone from being a model country to a country that doesn’t care about its own citizens.

“The billions flow and no one is held accountable. Sweden is run by a bunch of imposters who abuse their power and don’t care about our well-being.”

“Criticism of mass migration may be silenced by the agreement. We must stand up for free speech. It is time to bring out our inner Vikings, to ignore political correctness and become even braver and clearer in how we speak and express ourselves”, she said.

No Swedish mainstream media has reported the event.
Meanwhile, in France, the fourth weekend of the protests are underway. I imagine it won't be long before a national strike is declared. Shut down the entire country and don't lift a finger to work until the Macron government resigns.
French police fired the first batches of tear gas on Saturday as massive crowds of Yellow Vest protesters swarmed into the heart of the capital on the 4th weekend of unrest. Hundreds were detained prior to and at the rally. The figure was announced by Prime Minister Edouard Philippe. According to him, 481 people were detained by police and 211 remain in custody.
Considering that 4,000 were arrested all last weekend, it appears the protests are picking up speed. It would be significant if the police to switch sides and join the protesters. And in addition to Sweden, the protests are spreading to other European countries.
As the yellow vests movement is spreading through Europe protests have been announced in Brussels (Belgium), Amsterdam and Rotterdam (The Netherlands), Stockholm (Sweden), Paris and several German cities.
Let us hope that these Winter Revolutions are a prelude to a genuine European Spring in the place of the fake neocon-driven, Soros-funded, color-coded imperialist offensives.

Even wolves know

It's not a testimony to the intelligence of Man to observe that even wolves do a better job of understanding the importance of borders and maintaining them than humans do, at least while humanity is under the evil influence of the globos of the neo-liberal world order. Darkstream: Free Trade is Evil

This promises to be a pretty mind-blowing one, so you might want to consider watching this Darkstream if you have any interest in economics or eschatology. I'm not merely making the case that free trade is bad for the economy, or that it is bad for America, I'm making the case that it is quite literally evil and integral to Satan's master plan for the destruction of Man.

The relevant verses on which the case is founded.

Genesis 22:18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice. (God wants to bless the nations.)

Psalm 22:28 For the kingdom is the Lord's: and he is the governor among the nations. (God governs the nations.)

Psalm 86:9 All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name. (God made at least some of the nations.)

Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! (Lucifer's fall from heaven weakened the nations.)

Matthew 25:32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats. (The nations will survive to the end, despite all the efforts to destroy them, and God will set them straight again.)

Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring. (The nations will be distressed and perplexed towards the end.)

Revelation 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. (The Beast will be given power over the nations.)

Revelation 18:23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. (The nations will be deceived by Babylon.)

Revelation 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more. (God will stop Lucifer from deceiving the nations.)

THE CORE SYLLOGISM

Major premise: The prince of this world seeks to deceive and destroy the nations as part of his rebellion against God.
Minor premise: The nations have been deceived into believing free trade benefits them, when in truth it will inevitably destroy them through the mobility of labor required to deliver the promised economic benefits.
Conclusion: Free trade is an integral element of the prince of this world's master plan to destroy Man.

"The best blogger"

This is very flattering, particularly as the designation comes from an intellectual for whom I have a considerable amount of respect, and to whom I really should link more often:
Blogs are clearly on the way out, and many of the best bloggers have gone - but let's just express our opinion on who is - overall - the best blogger... Leaving-out myself (!) and also my co-bloggers at Albion Awakening and Junior Ganymede (because we are really the best :) - then who do you think is the best?

My vote goes to Vox Day (Theodore Beale) - whose blog is quite remarkable in terms of posting very frequently, across a wide range, and with great 'originality' - in the sense that he is so inventive and so good at discovering, elaborating and refining ideas.
Read the rest of it there. And also read this post, which should demonstrate why I have a high opinion of Prof. Charlton's perspicacity beyond his excellent taste in bloggers.
What makes modern people 'naturally' disbelieve in God?

(My answer; speaking from the experience of several decades of living as an atheist...)

The fact that all modern public discourse excludes the divine.

As a modern child grows up, he becomes socialised, he becomes trained in modern public discourse of many kinds: school work, everything to do with the mass media, sports, pastimes, hobbies... and all of these exclude the divine.

It Just Isn't There. The lexicon of objects that function in the system  exclude the divine; the causality of the system excludes the divine.

As the child reaches adolescence - these modes of thought become more dominant, and they become habitual to the extent of being simply taken for granted; and eventually they become so habitual as to be extremely difficult to break out from.
Culture matters and the globos know it. That's why they have been relentlessly campaigning to force Christianity out of the public spaces, by hook, crook, and Christmas carol, for generations.

Trust no one

So, at the behest of a trainer at the gym who used to play professional soccer, I tried a new high-intensity circuit class today. While I don't think he was actually trying to do me in, I can't rule the possibility out entirely. I seriously thought I was going to vomit after the first circuit of 15 stations, but after a dire 30 seconds or so during the first break, I held it together and managed to get through the second circuit without incident. I was a little distressed to discover that we were doing a third circuit, but it only consisted of 12 stations since three of the other 14 participants had dropped out by then.

My satisfaction in completing all three circuits was mildly tempered by the fact that there were several girls in their teens and twenties who did as well, and who, Spacebunny cheerfully informed me later, didn't require several minutes lying flat on their back to recover afterwards. I had no idea, of course, because I was lying flat on my back with my eyes closed.

Anyhow, it turns out that high-intensity training is a great exercise for the offseason, since running, walking, biking, and lifting simply don't serve as adequate substitutes for the explosive burst-and-coast endurance that one requires for soccer. The trainer even complimented my form, and I was sufficiently high on flattery and post-exercise endorphins that I agreed to show up for the next class. Apparently there are two... fabulous.

On the Knowledge of God, part I

The question of the nature of God's knowledge came up in a recent Darkstream. So as not to repeat myself unnecessarily, I will simply post this selection from The Irrational Atheist which still represents my thoughts on the matter. I make no pretense of being a theologian, nor do I claim that I must be correct on the matter, they are simply my thoughts and conclusions concerning the concepts of divine omnipotence and divine omniscience.

MASTER OF PUPPETS OR GAME DESIGNER?
“She was an atheist, but she was a Lutheran atheist, so she knew exactly what God she didn't believe in.”
- Garrison Keillor, Wobegon Boy

Doubts about the existence of God, particularly the existence of a good and loving God, often stem from great emotional pain. While doubts are naturally bound to occur to any rational individual in moments of somber reflection, it is particularly hard to imagine that a loving God who loves us would choose to intentionally inflict pain upon us, especially if He is all-powerful. When one surveys the long list of horrors that have engulfed countless men, women and children throughout the course of history, the vast majority of them innocent and undeserving of such evil fates, one finds it easy to sympathize with the individual who concludes that God, if He exists and is paying attention to humanity, must be some sort of divine sadist.

Because doubts are reasonable, normal and inevitable, they should never be brushed aside, belittled or answered with a glib phrase, for not only does decency demand that they receive a sensitive hearing, but also because they can have powerful ramifications that resonate long after the doubter himself has had them resolved one way or another. Randal Keynes, a descendant and biographer of Charles Darwin, asserts that it was the death of Darwin's beloved daughter Annie, at the age of ten after a long illness that convicted the great evolutionist of his dangerous idea that neither divine intervention nor morality had anything to do with the operation of the natural laws. And if this tragic loss was not the only element involved in Darwin's transition from an accomplished student of theology to the inventor of what today is the primary driving force behind the anti-theist New Atheism, it is widely considered to have been the final step that pushed him over the edge.

One would not be human if one could not sympathize with Darwin's anguished rejection of the notion that there was any justice or even a silver lining to be found in the death of his beautiful little girl. And perhaps there was some consolation, if any consolation was to be found, in viewing his terrible loss as taking place within the context of a mechanistic universe, wherein one was not subject to the ineffable caprice of an unpredictable deity, but to the predictable operation of natural laws which one could at least hope to understand and attempt to utilize.

But if God exists, it is a basic theological error to attempt to place the blame for earthly tragedies on Him. In fact, it is not only a theological error, but also a fundamental error of logic to conclude that God, even an all-powerful God, must be to blame for every evil, accident or tragedy that befalls us.

The Contradiction of Divine Characteristics
In a chapter considering the arguments for God's existence, Richard Dawkins muses briefly upon what he considers to be a logical contradiction. He writes:

Incidentally, it has not escaped the notice of logicians that omniscience and omnipotence are mutually incompatible. If God is omniscient, he must already know how he is going to intervene to change the course of history using his omnipotence. But that means he can't change his mind about his intervention, which means he is not omnipotent.

As Dawkins surely knows, this is a silly and superficial argument, indeed, he follows it up with a little piece of doggerel by Karen Owens before promptly abandoning the line of reasoning in favor of a return to his attack upon Thomas Aquinas. While the argument appears to make sense at first glance, it's merely a variation on the deeply philosophical question that troubles so many children and atheists, of whether God can create a rock so heavy that He cannot lift it.

First, it is important to note that the Christian God, the god towards whom Dawkins directs the great majority of his attacks, makes no broad claims to omniscience. Although there are 87 references to the specific things that the Biblical God knows, only a single example could even potentially be interpreted as a universal claim to complete knowledge. Among the things that God claims to know are the following:

He knows the way to wisdom and where it dwells, he knows the day of the wicked is coming, he knows the secrets of men's hearts, he knows the thoughts of men and their futility. He knows the proud from afar, he knows what lies in darkness, and he knows what you need before you ask him. He knows the Son, he knows the day and the hour that the heavens and the earth shall pass away, he knows the mind of the Spirit and that the Apostle Paul loved the Corinthians. He knows who are his, he knows how to rescue godly men from trials, and perhaps most importantly, he knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.

The only straightforward claim to omniscience is made on God's behalf by the apostle John, who clearly states “he knows everything”. However, the context in which the statement is made also indicates that this particular “everything” is not intended to encompass Life and The Universe, but rather everything about human hearts. Not only does this interpretation make more sense in light of the verse than with an inexplicable revelation of a divine quality that appears nowhere else in the Bible, but it is also in keeping with many previous statements made about God's knowledge.

After all, when Hercule Poirot confronts the murderer in an Agatha Christie novel and informs the killer that he knows everything, the educated reader does not usually interpret this as a statement that the Belgian detective is confessing that he is the physical manifestation of Hermes Trismegistus, but rather that he knows everything about the crime he has been detecting.

In keeping with this interpretation, Dr. Greg Boyd, the pastor at Woodland Hills Church and the author of Letters to a Skeptic, has written a book laying out a convincing case for the Open View of God, which among other things chronicles the many Biblical examples of God being surprised, changing His mind and even being thwarted. Moreover, it would be very, very strange for a presumably intelligent being such as Satan to place a bet with God if he believed that God knew with certainty what Job's reaction to his torments would be.

But in addition to the fact that it is based on a false assumption, the problem with the Contradiction of Divine Characteristics, as we shall henceforth refer to the logical conundrum posed by Dawkins, is that omniscience, or the quality of knowing everything, is the description of a capacity, it is not an action. Likewise, omnipotence, being all-powerful, is a similar description, which is why these nouns are most often used in their adjectival forms modifying other nouns, for example, an omniscient god is a god who knows everything, i.e. possesses all knowledge. But capacity does not necessarily indicate full utilization and possession does not dictate use; for example, by this point it should be clear that an intelligent scientist is nevertheless perfectly capable of writing something that is not intelligent at all.

Lest you think that this distinction between capacity and action is somehow tantamount to avoiding the question, note that Dawkins himself refers to God “using his omnipotence” in constructing the supposed contradiction.

Now, as I write this sentence, I am holding the book entitled The God Delusion in my hand. I paid cash for it at the bookstore prior to reading it through in its entirety, so I now possess the book in a very real and legally binding sense, and I feel sure that the reader will readily acknowledge that I therefore possess all of the knowledge contained within it in every relevant meaning of the term. But can I tell you the precise wording of the first sentence on the seventh page? Well, no, not without taking the action required to actually look at it.

This illustrates the difference between capacity and action, and the distinction is a vital one. Possession may be nine-tenths of the law, but it is not synonymous with use. Unless one clings stubbornly to an overly pedantic definition of both omniscience and omnipotence, an inherent incompatibility simply doesn't exist between the two concepts. Indeed, if Daniel Dennett is correct and “knowledge really is power”, then logic not only dictates the compatibility of all-knowledge with all-power, but requires that the two superficially distinct concepts are actually one and the same. In this case, there not only is no contradiction between God's omniscience and omnipotence, there is not even the theoretical possibility of a contradiction.

Regardless, a God who stands outside of space and time and who possesses all knowledge as well as all power is not bound to make use of his full capacities, indeed, who is going to shake their finger at him for failing to live up to his potential? Only the likes of Dawkins and Owens, one presumes, as their ability to logically disprove God's existence by this method depends upon His abiding by their rigid definitions of His qualities... at least one of which He does not even claim in His Word.

When considered in this light, the Contradiction of Divine Characteristics can't help but bring to mind a scene from the novel Catch-22, in which Joseph Heller wrote of an aptly named atheist called Frau Scheisskopf.

“'I don't believe, ' she sobbed, bursting violently into tears. 'But the God I don't believe in is a good God, a just God, a merciful God. He's not the mean and stupid God you make him out to be.'"

Furthermore, there is no theological significance whatsoever to a reduced form of omniscience and omnipotence that would satisfy even the most pedantic critical application of the logic. If one accepts the hypothesis that God is bound by logic and thereby imagines a God possessing qualities of tantiscience and tantipotence equating to omniscience and omnipotence minus the amount of knowledge and power required to avoid conflicting with the logical incompatibility, one is still left with a God whose theoretical capabilities are sufficient to fulfill all of the various claims about His knowledge and power made in His Word. Morever, from the human perspective, this logically acceptable tantiscient God would be completely indistinguishable from the omniscient one.

When it's time to feed my Viszla, I don't magically summon food from the mysterious bag of plenty. But my dog doesn't know that. From his perspective, there's no difference between my buying it at the store or my summoning it into material existence by the magic force of my divine will. Likewise, we are incapable of perceiving the difference between a god who knows everything and a god who merely knows a whole lot more than we do, moreover, the latter is the god that more closely fits the description of the Biblical God.

Dawkins, of course, knows that it is as pointless to logically consider the potential contradiction between two arbitrarily defined concepts as it is to argue over the score of the 1994 World Series; would that his acolytes understood as much themselves.

Omniderigence
DERIGO -rigere -rexi -rectum [to set straight, direct]; of placing [to order, dispose]; milit. [to draw up]; Transf., [to direct, aim, guide]

Though it may at first seem to be a waste of time to analyze an argument that Dawkins himself doesn't assign much value, it is important to remember that all things, even specious and superficial arguments for His nonexistence, may prove useful in serving the greater glory of God. That's true in this case, for in considering the Contradiction of Divine Characteristics argument, we were forced to draw a distinct line between capacity and action, the confusion of which is also the root of a much more serious theological error. Interestingly, this theological error is committed by Christians as readily as atheists, perhaps even more often, as they trust in God's plan for their lives instead of making use of their God-given intelligence and free will.

There are a variety of phrases which contain the same inherent implication about a certain view of God. Many evangelical Christians often refer to “God's perfect plan” for their lives. This concept is reinforced with children's songs such as “He's got the whole world in his hands” and echoed by sports stars who compete in the assurance that their victory has been divinely secured ahead of time. It is held by American Exceptionalists who believe that God has uniquely blessed the United States of America and has authored a Manifest Destiny for it, and by Christian Zionists who see a divine hand in every violent twist and turn of the Mideast Peace Process.

These various evangelicals have an unexpected ally in Sam Harris, who declares it to be an obvious truth that “if God exists, he is the most prolific abortionist of all” due to the fact that 20 percent of all known pregnancies miscarry, and then asserts that those who believe in God should be obliged to present evidence for his existence in light of “the relentless destruction of innocent human beings that we witness in the world each day.”

What the evangelical and the atheist have in common here is a belief that because God is omnipotent, omniscient and compassionate, he is somehow responsible for these events, although Harris would qualify that with the necessary “if he exists”. And in fairness, it must be pointed out that when Harris cites Hurricane Katrina and the 2004 Asian tsunami as God's failure to protect humanity, he is really doing rather better than the “perfect plan” evangelical who would assert that these tragedies were sent by God for some ineffable higher purpose intended to benefit humanity.

This belief in an all-acting God, who not only guides the grand course of events but actually micromanages them, is the result of the same confusion between capacity and action that we saw in the Contradiction of Divine Characteristics. When God asserts that He cares about the sparrows and knows when one falls from its branch, this is very different from an assertion that He only happens to know about it because He personally struck the sparrow down. An omniscient God knows the numbers of hairs on your head and an omnipotent God is capable of changing their color, but it requires an active Master Puppeteer to personally pluck them, one by one, from your balding head, in the desired order.

Sadly, the English language appears to lack a word describing such a god, even though this is the way that many individuals, even those who do not believe in Him, believe God behaves. So, as Richard Dawkins coined the very useful word “meme”, it appears to have fallen to me to invent a word that is, despite its undeniable utility, rather less likely to be dropped into conversations at coffeehouses for sheer effect.

Hence the term “omniderigence”, which I define as: 'making infinite use of unlimited or universal power, authority, or force; all-controlling; all-dictating.” Less formally, one can think of it as uber control-freakdom or ultimate puppet-mastery.

In Letter to a Christian Nation, Sam Harris shows how this mistaken belief in God's omniderigence is part and parcel of the atheist case against God.

Hollywood so racist

Gay > Black in Hollywood:
Just two days after being named host of the Academy Awards, Kevin Hart stepped down following an outcry over past homophobic tweets by the comedian.

Capping a swift and dramatic fallout, Hart wrote on Twitter just after midnight Friday that he was withdrawing as Oscars host because he didn’t want to be a distraction. “I sincerely apologize to the LGBTQ community for my insensitive words from my past,” wrote Hart.

Hart stepped aside just about an hour after refusing to apologize for tweets that resurfaced after he was announced as Oscars host on Tuesday. In a video on Instagram, Hart said the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences gave him an ultimatum: apologize or “we’re going to have to move on and find another host.”

“I chose to pass on the apology,” Hart said.
Good for him. It's not as if the apology was going to save his hosting job anyhow. It is also going to be amusing to watch Hollywood continue to destroy itself through its continued convergence. Especially as alternatives continue to emerge.

No wonder no one wants to host the flaming trainwreck anymore. Hey, they should totally ask Owen Benjamin! I bet he would do it.

Ubisoft converged

Not that we didn't know that, but you would think game companies are actively trying to sink their own games, especially in light of the Battlefield V debacle. Of course, Kotaku is celebrating this as a major step forward for diversity in games.

Darkstream: Yellow Vests for the West

Watch the Darkstream to understand why the Yellow Vest protest is not about fuel taxes, as the globomedia claims. Russia Today offers a more realistic take:
Even though the French government abandoned the fuel tax hike after sweeping protests, the movement still calls upon its followers to gather on December 8. “The Act IV” will be held under the motto “we stay on our course.” The Facebook event has already counted 6,000 people who wish to participate and 22,000 others who are “interested.”

On Thursday Eric Drouet one of the movement's most famous leaders announced the Yellow Vests plans to approach the residence of Emmanuel Macron. “Saturday will be the final outcome, Saturday is the Elysee, we all would like to go to the Elysee,” he said.

The intelligence services have reported to the Elysee Palace, the official residence of the president, that there have been “calls to kill” and “carry arms to attack” parliamentarians, government officials and police officers, Le Figaro newspaper said on Thursday.

At least three left-wing parties at the French parliament have agreed to discuss a vote of no confidence against the government amid sweeping protests, against Macron’s policies, which have gripped the country.
The French government and the media is trying to scare the public, entirely failing to understand that most of the French public, Left and Right, would be quite happy to see the Macron and his government go the way of Marie Antoinette.

Now disgruntled groups from Left and Right, including students and emergency workers, have joined their campaign. This has ensured that Mr Macron’s approval rating – his lowest since he took office in 2017 - is now just 18 per cent, according to a new YouGov poll. It was conducted the day before Saturday’s riots, with 1006 people making up a representative sample of the French population quizzed.

That's well below the lowest approval rating ever previously recorded for a French head of state. France is following the Italian model, where nationalists of Left and Right, have joined together against the invaders and their elite enablers.

Everyone is over Bill Kristol and the neocons

Even civic nationalist immigrants like Dinesh D'Souza no longer have any use for "neoconservativism" or its evil defenders:
Bill Kristol
A friend called my attention to this tweet, and distasteful though it is, I'm glad. It reinforces my determination, for what it's worth, to try to save conservatism from the alt-right and to advance a conservatism that "gives to bigotry no sanction, to persecution no assistance."

Dinesh D'Souza
Maybe the owners of the @weeklystandard should hire some Vietnamese guys to run the mag. This would fulfill @BillKristol ‘s own prophecy that when native-born Americans become stupid, lazy, decadent & overpaid they can be replaced by more industrious immigrants.
Trotsky was not a conservative. Neo-bolshevist world revolution is not conservatism. Bill Kristol's Israel First neo-bolshevism is not only bigotry in itself, it is, quite literally, persecution. Notice that the neocons call for government-imposed international sanctions on Iran, but have successfully lobbied for the banning of the free speech of Americans who call for private boycotts of Israel.

If I was an Israeli government official, the first thing I would do is disown all of these corrupt, parasitical creatures. They are much more likely to eventually convince Americans to declare war on Israel than continue to financially and militarily support it. Everyone absolutely should hate Bill Kristol and the neocons, they are the most grotesquely dishonest, and evil people in the United States.

Notice that evil always, always, always reveals itself in its corruption of the truth, beginning with the perverse redefinition of words that already have a clear and coherent meaning.

Confessions of a former fan

I really appreciate the seriousness with which even the most dubious skeptics are approaching Jordanetics, and the way in which they are honestly reassessing their previous assumptions and beliefs in light of the information it contains. This detailed review of the book explains the process of what goes through the mind of a Peterson fan when he first interprets what he hears Peterson saying versus when he subsequently encounters the verifiable reality of Peterson's teachings much better than I ever could.
- Vox

Confessions of a former, Jordan Peterson fan...
December 4, 2018

I've been a fan of Jordan Peterson (JP) for a couple years. I've watched many hours of JP video, including: classroom lectures, blog posts, event speeches, interviews, Bible story analysis, etc. I loved JP for denouncing Marxism, Leftism, SJW's and speech control as he adroitly argued against many of the standard leftist positions.

On our family road trips, I would force the family to listen to JP lectures or speeches, then proceed to tell them what JP was saying.

As a Christian and Bible student, I understood that JP's position on the Bible was flawed and that he was not a Christian himself, however, he was speaking against so many of the positions I was against that he inspired me to hope that he could stem the tide of those beliefs. I put some of my "faith" in JP...that was a mistake.

It is a strange experience to look back in time and see something I thought was so good, profound and impactful, that it moved me to tears, but now, realize JP did not really say anything I thought he said. I listened to the words he said, but I am the one that filled in the meaning...JP did not mean what I thought he meant.

As I was telling my family what he "meant", I was really telling them what I wanted him to mean. JP was my "reason", or excuse, for pontificating on various subjects and JP became a source of validation for my positions. I could state with confidence that my position was "right" and then point to JP and say, "See, he's saying the same thing...", thus making me feel good about this professor because he "backed me up".

Later, as I noticed inconsistencies, or position changes, with JP, I wrote them off as mistakes, or taken out of context, or simply ignored them. I was not willing to accept that I put my faith in someone who would actually be antithetical to my beliefs; that was something I was unwilling to consider.

About this time I learned about some of Vox Day's posts regarding JP's positions. Some of Vox's statements about JP were quite harsh. I thought, "Vox is not being fair to JP. JP is on "our side", so cut the guy some slack." However, one thing Vox said was the "key" that allowed me to reexamine my faith in JP. Vox said something like, "JP is repackaging Gnosticism and is not really saying what people think he's saying. JP is literally evil."

As a Christian, familiar with the problems of Gnosticism, I had to acknowledge that if Vox's point was true, it would be detectable if I reexamined JP's positions. My problem at that point was a pride, or ego issue. I did not want to admit that I could have been mislead, or duped, into following someone who was teaching something I knew to be evil. How could I possibly be fooled? I'm too smart to fall for that sort of thing, right? Not me.

So, I accepted some of Vox's challenges. One was to simply "read" what JP was saying, instead of "listening" to it. Wow, what a difference! Reading JP's words, I found they were devoid of the meanings I had been assigning to them. What he meant by good, evil, God, truth, etc. was not what I knew these words to mean.

When JP said to always tell the truth, I plugged my definition of truth into his statement. When JP said this or that position was "evil", I plugged my definition of evil into his statement. When JP talked about "consciousness" I "heard" my definition of consciousness, or "being" or whatever.

But after taking some time to go find how JP defined these words or ideas, and ignoring what I hoped he meant, I was shocked, to say the least.

One of my life axioms is, "Only the truth can withstand scrutiny." Therefore, never be afraid to scrutinize something; if it is true, then it will survive the scrutiny. It was time to scrutinize JP more fully.

After my own findings were eroding my faith in JP, I took the plunge and purchased "Jordanetics".

The first couple chapters did little to shed more light on JP, but did add more reasons to doubt my faith in him. However, once I reached chapter 3 and beyond, Vox's dissection of JP's positions began in earnest. Vox's approach is quite simple.
  1. Here is JP's Rule for Life #X
  2. Here is what JP says, which does not address said rule at all.
  3. What JP is saying means this, using JP's own words.
  4. Now that we are clear on what JP is saying, you have to decide what to do.
I decided. Instead of a thinking JP is a man that supports what I support, I've come to the sad realization that he is antithetical to most of my values and beliefs. Wow! That hurt my pride and ego, but truth doesn't care about those.

I'll summarize: If you believe any of the following, then JP is your man:
  • There is no such thing as Objective Truth.
  • Truth is whatever helps you survive.
  • Being or State of Being is contingent on your acceptance of truth (little "t") and rejection of "evil" (little 'e').
  • Evil is that which hinders you.
  • Jesus represents a state of being, but not a person, and definitely NOT the Son of God (God being the Creator).
  • Satan represents a state of being, but is not an actual fallen angel.
  • Social hierarchies exist, however, if you are too low or high, that's evil. The goal is the middle, that's where "good" is.
  • All ideas of God / gods are simply mankind's attempts to explain states of being.
  • Belonging to a "group" will negatively affect your being.
  • All concepts of "good", "evil", God, Being, heaven / hell can be unified and coalesced into one concept...the one JP supports.
I could keep going. However, if you find these concepts appealing, then JP is your man. If, like me, you find these ideas to be irrational, nonsensical, demonstrably wrong, the opposite of your beliefs, etc., and you've been influenced by JP, then read "Jordanetics" and see for yourself...

To those who wrote negative reviews; I read them. I was where you are...putting my meanings into what JP says. I feel pity for those who continue to base their support for JP because of "what they think he means", when what he actually means is there for everyone to find. However, like me, getting passed your ego and pride might be the toughest step for you to take. But take the challenge at take it...

In other words - Only the truth can withstand scrutiny.

Weinstein won't debate Stefan

Harvey, Bret, whatever. They're all just intellectual cowards who hold exactly the same positions for exactly the same reason... while publicly deploring identity politics for Americans, Europeans, and soon, Han Chinese.
Stefan Molyneux@StefanMolyneux
From 800 BC to 1950 AD, 97% of the world’s scientific advancements occurred in Europe and North America.

98% of the significant figures were male.

No white males, no modern world.

Fact.

I’m grateful.

Are you?

End the hate.

Aspire to admire, whatever the race.

Bret Weinstein@BretWeinstein
This is a modern creation myth, delivered as if it were an analysis. It is as inaccurate and self-serving the intersectionalist's claim that all disparities arise from oppression. Those pushing these stories persuade through flattery. Don't be fooled. Don't take the bait.

Lauren Southern@Lauren_Southern
Don’t take the bait? How about have a productive debate and convince people of your position. I’d love to hear this discussion! I’m sure @RubinReport or someone…

Bret Weinstein@BretWeinstein
Not interested in debating it. Here's why: @StefanMolyneux is not stupid, but his stated position is. That suggests his purpose is not an analytical one.The logic is straightforward. His position is nuts. But he might well advance his agenda, and I want no part of that.

Stefan Molyneux@StefanMolyneux
Can’t find an argument anywhere here, can you? People should just be honest and admit that they are afraid to discuss the scientific reality of human biodiversity because it might get them in trouble. That’s what Jordan Peterson did.

Stefan Molyneux@StefanMolyneux
The “intellectual dark web” is well-paid to keep certain essential facts at bay
What, precisely, is nuts and stupid about Stefan's statement? To observe the fact that 97 percent of the world’s scientific advancements before 1950 occurred in Europe and North America? To observe the fact that 98 percent of the significant figures involved were men? These are either facts and therefore true or false assertions. Or are we to take this as evidence that Weinstein now publicly accepts Jordan Peterson's contention that facts are not necessarily true?

The Ineffectual Dork Weasels are cowardly fourth-rate academics and talking heads who have been appointed to be gatekeepers for the Right by the New York Times and are being propped up by the global Satanists in order to try to slow down the growing trend towards nationalism and Christianity in the West.

They are going to fail abysmally due to their cowardice, as Ben Shapiro has run from debates with me and Milo, Jordan Peterson has run from debates with Marxists despite publicly claiming that Marxists are afraid to debate him, and now Bret Weinstein is running away from debate with Stefan Molyneux. Everyone can see the pattern. They have literally no ability to defend their own positions and little more capacity for offering substantive criticism of anything except a nebulous bogeyman of "the Radical Left" that they somehow cannot define correctly.

There is a very good reason these ineffectual losers only talk to each other, as talking to anyone who is both honest and capable of seeing through them will expose them almost instantly. They can't afford to engage with Stefan, or Milo, or me, because they know perfectly well that their positions are false and they know that we know their positions are false too.

All that anyone needs to do to publicly discredit these weasels is precisely what I've done in Jordanetics, which is to quote their own words extensively and show people exactly what they are saying in the correct context. Even their tweets, when compared over time, are damning, because their core positions are intrinsically hypocritical, incoherent, and deceptive.

Cucks Inc

I don't know what CRTV stood for, but I assume it meant Cuckservative Republican TV.
The Blaze and CRTV announced on Monday that they were merging to create Blaze Media. Both say the move will allow the new conservative entity to reach 165 million people via television, online and on social media. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Blaze was founded by former Fox News host Glenn Beck in 2011, not long after he parted ways with the network, while CRTV was founded in 2014 by current Fox News host Mark Levin, who also hosts a nationally syndicated radio program.
This is supposed to be the alternative to ABCNNBCBS? They might as well have called it Gatekeeper Media and given Jordan Peterson a show.

Even the brightest can be dazzled

La Divina Paglia has an incisive take on the Deep State and the failure of secular humanism, but like most atheists, she is a sucker for spiritualist psychobabble:
The deep state is no myth but a sodden, intertwined mass of bloated, self-replicating bureaucracy that constitutes the real power in Washington and that stubbornly outlasts every administration. As government programs have incrementally multiplied, so has their regulatory apparatus, with its intrusive byzantine minutiae. Recently tagged as a source of anti-Trump conspiracy among embedded Democrats, the deep state is probably equally populated by Republicans and apolitical functionaries of Bartleby the Scrivener blandness. Its spreading sclerotic mass is wasteful, redundant, and ultimately tyrannical.

I have been trying for decades to get my fellow Democrats to realize how unchecked bureaucracy, in government or academe, is inherently authoritarian and illiberal. A persistent characteristic of civilizations in decline throughout history has been their self-strangling by slow, swollen, and stupid bureaucracies. The current atrocity of crippling student debt in the US is a direct product of an unholy alliance between college administrations and federal bureaucrats — a scandal that ballooned over two decades with barely a word of protest from our putative academic leftists, lost in their post-structuralist fantasies. Political correctness was not created by administrators, but it is ever-expanding campus bureaucracies that have constructed and currently enforce the oppressively rule-ridden regime of college life.

In the modern world, so wondrously but perilously interconnected, a principle of periodic reduction of bureaucracy should be built into every social organism. Freedom cannot survive otherwise.... From my perspective as an atheist as well as a career college teacher, secular humanism has been a disastrous failure.
As a longtime Camille Paglia fan, I'm not even remotely surprised to learn that she was impressed by Jordan Peterson. She is a left-libertarian academic who is naturally inclined to assume that anyone who can sling citations around so glibly possesses a brilliant mind. However, I suspect that were she to actually trouble to read his works, check those citations, or spend more time in his company, she would swiftly pick up on his mental illness and aberrational psychosexuality.

The real story in France

It will probably not surprise anyone here to know that the globomedia is completely misrepresenting the Yellow Vest protests in Paris. This is a post by an American living in Paris about what is really going on with the gilets jaunes.

It's important to note that the majority of protestors are middle aged, these are not college or university students, who make up the usual French protests. This is a grassroots protest. It's been reported anywhere from 50-80% of the French support the gilets jaunes. This is NOT just about taxes.

The protests began over the new taxes imposed by Macron's government on fuel. The taxes are viewed as punishing those who use cars and those who can't afford to buy newer ones. The French already pay heavy taxes on fuel, along with high tolls on highways. Every car in France is required to have 2 high visibility vests (gilets jaunes). The protestors began wearing those vests while protesting.

Along with this, the cost of living is incredibly high while salaries are painfully low, especially in larger cities like Paris. The myth of government-ordered 35 hour work weeks isn't the reality for most salaried French people. Taxes eat huge chunks of their money and the French are fed up with making the same amount in their salaries as those who don't work at all and rely on government assistance.

Parts of France are also filled with unassimilated migrants. These migrants get government assistance as well. A large part of the French are sick of paying for migrants when French people are suffering as well. There are areas that have stopped being culturally French and cities the French avoid for holidays because of the migrant problem.

In addition to this, retired people have been lodging their dissatisfaction with their retirement pensions (one woman in a video circulating around French Facebook confronts Macron about having to live off of 500€ a month) and Macron's reactions have been condescending across the board. He currently has about a 26% approval rating.

All of this started bubbling up a few weeks ago as the protests began with the gilets jaunes in November. The protests last weekend got violent. Statues at the Arc De Triomphe were broken; the Arc was defaced. In Marseille, an 80 year old woman was killed as she was closing her shutters. The police threw a tear gas canister at her window. While outside of larger cities, many police officers and firefighters are taking off their helmets and/or standing in solidarity with the gilets jaunes. There have been reports that they have also refused to shake Macron's hand and have turned their backs to government officials while serving in official capacities.

On Monday (December 2), there was a protest by the ambulances in Paris. They stood at Concorde with lights flashing and sirens sounding. Truck drivers have also showed their solidarity. They have also driven through Paris with lights flashing to show their dissatisfaction. Roads have been closed down by gilets jaunes and they are blocking access of oil in both ports and at stations. As of posting, over 650 stations are on a list of facing shortages or out of fuel. During yesterday's news cycle, many truck drivers were seen disrupting broadcasts by honking in solidarity with the gilets jaunes.

On Tuesday (December 3), the French government spoke about their plans for "appeasement" of the gilets jaunes. Their offer was to postpone the start date of 3 taxes (related to fuel). This offer has been scoffed at by the gilets jaunes, who have called it "crumbs" as the taxes haven't even been implemented yet and the offer does nothing to address the issues regarding cost of living.

Along with this, the French have begun demanding that Macron refuse to sign the UN Migration Act on December 10. This has begun appearing across the Facebook groups and events but has not been widely reported in the French media as far as I can tell.

This has culminated in everything from demands Macron step down to the creation of the 6th Republic. There are protests planned for Saturday across France. The protestors are calling the Paris protests ACT 4. They are quoting from the French National Anthem ("Aux Armes Citoyens") and planning to protest at Bastille. The medical community is also participating in the protests on Saturday.

TLDR: This is bigger than taxes. These aren't your usual French protests.

There are a number of signs that will alert us if Jordanetics begins to transform into a full-blown religious cult. For example, if Peterson’s followers start to establish international connections around the world and start founding institutions for the study and propagation of the 12-Rule Path, that will be a reliable indicator that what one fan has told us “feels like a movement” has evolved into an advanced form of Jordanetics that represents a realization of the post-Christian vision originally proposed by Yeats.
- Jordanetics, Chapter 19: The Cult of Jordanetics

Yeah, so, about that....

So much for "hard-working" immigrants

Remember how conservatives like to talk about hard-working immigrants? And how liberals like to talk about how immigrants work harder than native US citizens? Yeah, well, they're just more lies being utilized to justify the invasion of the United States and the displacement of Americans:
More than 7-in-10 households headed by immigrants in the state of California are on taxpayer-funded welfare, a new study reveals.

The latest Census Bureau data analyzed by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) finds that about 72 percent of households headed by noncitizens and immigrants use one or more forms of taxpayer-funded welfare programs in California — the number one immigrant-receiving state in the U.S.

Meanwhile, only about 35 percent of households headed by native-born Americans use welfare in California.

All four states with the largest foreign-born populations, including California, have extremely high use of welfare by immigrant households. In Texas, for example, nearly 70 percent of households headed by immigrants use taxpayer-funded welfare. Meanwhile, only about 35 percent of native-born households in Texas are on welfare.

In New York and Florida, a majority of households headed by immigrants and noncitizens are on welfare. Overall, about 63 percent of immigrant households use welfare while only 35 percent of native-born households use welfare.
Mass immigration is actually WORSE than military invasion and occupation over an extended period of time. It usually costs more native lives too.

The end of neoconservativism

From Twitter:
BREAKING: Multiple sources tell me that neocon magazine @weeklystandard is expected to close its operations in a few weeks. It had lost many subscribers since the 2016 election as its #NeverTrumper editors @BillKristol @stephenfhayes @SykesCharlie publicly aligned with the Left.
Good riddance. We can safely anticipate Commentary, the Ineffectual Dork Web, and the other neocon vehicles eventually drying up and blowing away. No one is paying any serious attention to any of them anymore. They're totally irrelevant in a post-monopolar world.

Tonight: Dave Rubin interviews Ben Shapiro and Harvey Weinstein about Jordan Peterson! And don't miss a special show tomorrow when Dave interviews Jordan Peterson about Ben Shapiro's latest appearance on Joe Rogan!

The parliament betrays the British people

The British politicians are determined to keep Britain in the European Union:
Today a group of senior Tories including Ken Clarke, Nicky Morgan and Oliver Letwin tabled a Commons amendment designed to stop a No Deal outcome.

Their motion would ensure that if the Government loses next week's vote, MPs will have the power to decide what happens next.

It means Parliament would be able to vote for Brexit to be delayed or for a second referendum, instead of Britain leaving the EU in March without a deal.
I'm not surprised that they're doing this, once it became clear that plenty of Britons actually preferred a no-deal Brexit to any of the various "deals" that left Britain tied and subservient to the EU. But it's very far from over, although the British people need to recall that one seldom votes one's way to freedom and sovereignty.

What civic nationalism hath wrought

Sarah Hoyt has yet to come to terms with the fact that it is her "born American in Portugal" civic nationalism that has led the United States to the brink of civil war:
But is it better if the rough music plays and civil war breaks out?

Civil war is not impossible. Despite the fact that we’re emulsified, red and blue living side by side (but not in harmony), civil war is not impossible. It’s just not the civil war we’ve read about in history books, the stories of the grey and the blue and neat armies on the field.

Sure, sure, brothers fought on opposing sides and son against father. But it was still largely territorial. Terrain gained and lost.

If civil war comes, it will be a war of insurrection. Of many groups against many. Of balkanization. Of neighbor turning on neighbor. Of houses burning and corpses hanging from neighborhood trees. Over and over and over again, and vendettas tossed in.

We’ve seen this. Most such wars go on forever. They become clan wars and wars of vengeance. After a century or so you fight because of what they did to your side in '79. Or whenever.

Or we could get lucky. Read “lucky.” One side could emerge victorious. A faction could emerge the strongest in a few years and pacify the country. By then it will take fire and blood and an iron boot. We’ll have to be unreally lucky to reform again under the old Constitution after that. More likely we’ll become like the other countries of the world, even the nominal republics: power and the old families, and the “right blood.”

Is that what you want?

It is not what I want.

But neither do I want the silent ignominy of tolerating fraud, of slowly sliding into a socialist morass because we dared not speak.

What is the answer?

I don’t have one.
The answer is not what about what Fake Americans want. It's not even about what genuine Americans want. It's about what they wanted and what they permitted over the last 70 years. At this point, due to the mass movement of peoples, civil war for control of the territory of the United States is not only not impossible, it is all but inevitable. There are three choices: subjugation, secession, and civil war. In the most likely scenario, we will see elements of all three, beginning with subjugation of the genuine Christian American nation, followed by secession, then what passes for civil war.

And the reason it will happen is because far too many people like Sarah Hoyt were permitted to not only become legal citizens, but were given a voice in government. Now the Fake Americans are more or less ruling over the people they invaded, and many people who came here because they wanted to live in an American society ruled by Americans don't like the inevitable consequences of their own collective actions.

Sarah is not a bad person. And one cannot reasonably fault people acting at the micro level for the macrosocietal consequences. But good people with good intentions have succeeded in accomplishing many very bad, very destructive things since the dawn of recorded human history. I don't blame her, or people like her, for invading America, I blame those who permitted and encouraged the invasion. But I do certainly fault them for refusing to admit that they were always part of the problem, even now.

Of course the United States "will become like the other countries of the world." How could it possibly fail to do so, now that it is mostly inhabited by people from those other countries?

Apple goes full SJW

It's hardly a surprise, but Apple has declared itself to be a Christianity-free zone:
Apple CEO Tim Cook on Monday said he believes it is "right" and "moral" for technology companies to block hate speech and violent conspiracy theories from their platforms.

"At Apple, we believe that technology needs to have a clear point of view on this challenge," Cook said at an Anti-Defamation League (ADL) conference on Monday afternoon. At the conference, Cook accepted the ADL's first "Courage Against Hate" award, geared towards private sector leaders "dedicated" to fighting bigotry. He was also the conference's keynote speaker.

"That’s why we only have one message for those who seek to push hate, division and violence: You have no place on our platforms," Cook said during his keynote address. "You have no home here."
It's long past time to start enforcing the West's long-dormant blasphemy laws, and doing so with a vengeance. As I have repeatedly pointed out  to everyone, the whole "free speech" movement was never anything but an anti-Christian Fabian campaign. Now that the forces of evil feel they have sufficient power, they have rejected the intellectual tools they utilized to dislodge Christian morals and ethics from their dominant societal position in the West.

This is not just a cultural war, it is a war for the soul of the West. And it is not being fought between Right and Left, it is not even truly between Nationalist and Globalist. At its core, it is between Good and Evil, between the Truth and the Lie.

The West needs to send a very clear message for those who seek to corrupt and control it. You have no place in our civilization. I was once a big fan of the Apple II, but I will never buy another Apple product of any kind, for any reason.

The truth is spreading

And it's not going to help Jordan Peterson's career survive. An article in Demokracija openly calls him a false prophet.
First problem with Peterson that woke me out of my trance and forced me to reevaluate what this professor of psychology is even talking about, was his stance on the usage of personal pronouns. If in the past, he claimed that the problem were the many pronouns people were making up, he now claimed he doesn’t have any problem with the individuals and their pronouns, only with the law which would compel him to use them. That was the same Peterson who not long ago insisted he was ready to go to prison because of his refusal to use preferred personal pronouns.

Every video of his I saw, every tweet I read, every lecture I listened to only confirmed what I already knew at this point. Still, I kept convincing myself that it cannot be so. After all, the progressive left hates him, after all, Peterson says in his 12 Rules for Life to stand up straight, after all, Peterson advocated for the truth.

It turned out all of that was just a big lie. To stop fooling myself, two other events were needed. The first was a debate Peterson had with the youngest of the so-called four horsemen of atheism, philosopher and neuroscientist Sam Harris. The problems started right at the beginning of the debate when they couldn’t settle on the definition of truth. Harris claimed there is objective truth while Peterson tried by all means to defend the claim which was one of the craziest things I have ever heard. He claimed that truth is, according to evolution, something which helps the individual survive. When you think of it, Peterson’s definition allows that even a lie is truth as long as it helps you in pursuit of your own interests. How do you believe someone who claims that truth can be anything?
Meanwhile, the Lobster Cultists are desperately trying to prevent people from reading Jordanetics.

James E Moore, December 3 2018
Vox Day about as accurate as Vox News
For all the hoopla he claims his book is of little substance.

Folke Hermansen, December 3, 2018
Badly written and intellectually dishonest
As someone who has a genuine understanding of Peterson's work, this book is filled with misrepresentations and false conclusions.

I guess it just depends upon what you mean by "genuine", "misrepresentations", and "false". But it can hardly surprise anyone who has actually read Jordanetics that Jordan Peterson fans would lie about the book. After all, they are following the example of a man who habitually speaks with a forked tongue.

When you read this, keep in mind that this article in the American Thinker is actually supposed to be a defense of Jordan Peterson against Jordanetics:
The whole point of the revolution begun by Kant is that we can’t know “objective truth.”

For Kant everything we know comes through our senses and then gets processed by our brains and gussied up into a theory of the world. Thus, we cannot know things-in-themselves, prior to our sense impressions.

But the loss of “objective truth” is not the end of everything, it is just the beginning.

For one thing, it allows Carl Jung to experience the history of religion as the history of mankind trying to make sense of the world -- the meaning of life, the universe, and everything -- given the state of human knowledge about life, the universe, and everything at the time.

In his book Jordan Peterson tries to make sense of the world with everything from Biblical exegesis to Nietzschean aphorisms and Jungian analysis, with Dostoyevsky and Solzhenitsyn thrown in for good measure. And, of course, his Biblical analysis compares God the Father and Christ the Son with Osiris and Horus, the Egyptian father-son duo. He would, because he’s a Jungian, and Jungians believe that you can bring together the religious beliefs of all ages to discover the truth.
And the only thing you need to know about Kant is that he was wrong, completely and utterly wrong. His entire life's work was an unnecessary attempt to square a philosophical circle. The objective truth exists regardless of our ability to correctly perceive it at any given point in time. And the Jungians are not merely wrong, they are mad. That's not you make sense of the world. That's not how you make sense of anything. And more importantly, that's not how you "discover the truth," that's how you end up molesting children, drinking blood, and chanting nonsense in fake languages in order to magickally exert your will upon the world.

I wonder how many Jordan Peterson fans understand that in following the 12-Rule Path they are quite literally rejecting the core philosophical basis for the science they think they love?

How can anyone who is sane possibly defend a man who "advocates for the truth" when, by his own account and according to his defenders, he does not believe in the existence of "the objective truth"?

Vive la France

The Yellow Vest protests against the Macron government spread:
More than one hundred ambulance drivers protested in Paris Monday morning, as France’s President Emmanuel Macron faces mounting pressure from populous movements inspired by the Yellow Jackets. Paramedics blocked the Place de la Concorde near the National Assembly in downtown Paris at 5:30 am local time, blaring their sirens and holding banners condemning government-mandated industry reforms, reports France Info.

Protesters set tires on fire in the street while others chanted “Macron resign!” according to the Associated Press.... Civic action against Macron’s reforms has also been picked up by high school pupils, with the Ministry of Education confirming that at least one hundred schools across France — in Marseille, Toulouse, Côte d’Azur (the French Riviera), and Seine-Saint-Denis — have been totally or partially shut down Monday morning by protesting students.

The French youths are reported to be mainly protesting against the education reforms, as well as against high taxes and in solidarity with the Yellow Jackets.
France needs to leave the EU and govern itself in its own national interest.

The Tenth Circle

John Derbyshire proposes a useful addition to Dante's Nine Circles of Hell:
If I had written The Divine Comedy I would have added an extra ditch to the ninth circle of Hell—where dwell traitors, fraudsters, and sowers of discord—for the Nation Wreckers.

Putting together my Radio Derb podcast for November 16th I thought I should say something about the Brexit business, now coming to some kind of climax. I haven’t followed the negotiations, and am anyway out of touch with British politics; but it’s plain the Brits are having much difficulty wriggling free of the European Union and setting sail once again as an independent sovereign nation.

That’s a reminder of the cosmic principle that some processes are hard to reverse. “The toothpaste’s out of the tube,” we say; or in Chinese, “The wood has been made into a boat” (木已成舟).

It’s also a reminder of how glibly the Brits were talked into this nation-sized death-trap.

There are some in this country who fear that in going into Europe we shall in some way sacrifice independence and sovereignty. These fears, I need hardly say, are completely unjustified.

That was Prime Minister Ted Heath in 1973. Heath would be one of those I’d expect to find in the Nation Wreckers Ditch, along with the unspeakable Tony Blair from the following generation, and Cameron the Clueless and May the Mediocrity from more recent years.

There’d be plenty of Americans in there, too. The U.S. equivalent of Heath’s assurance was of course Ted Kennedy’s speech to the Senate when moving the 1965 Immigration Act:

First, our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually. Under the proposed bill, the present level of immigration remains substantially the same … Secondly, the ethnic mix of this country will not be upset …

Into the ditch with him!—and Hart and Celler and McCain and Schumer and Ryan and McConnell, and all the liars, fraudsters, and fools of Britain and the U.S.A. who, from either malice or stupidity, transformed settled, stable, well-governed nations that did not want or need transforming into Afro-Latino-Islamo-style corruptocracies.
I don't think a ditch in the Ninth Circle is sufficient. Grant them their own deeper circle filled with even more hellish torments, for they are literally the very worst people that history has ever known. Even the great evils of history, the Arnolds, the Quislings, the Hitlers, and the Stalins were not as awful as the glib-tongued Nation Wreckers have proven to be.

If you missed the successful, but short-lived Alt★Hero: Q 2.0 campaign, you can now take part in its successor on the Arkhaven Comics site. All of the rewards are priced at the same levels as before, but if you wish to back at one of the higher levels that are not offered as part of the 2.1 campaign, please contact us via email.

Please note that some backers are likely to have trouble with their credit cards being accepted; if the system rejects your card, please contact your bank for details, arrange matters with them, then try again later. Given that this is not an American site, it's possible that the purchase will trigger flags that you don't realize are attached to your account. Please don't ask us about this, as we can already see failed attempts in the system and there is literally nothing we can do about them from this end. Once the campaign is over, we will get in contact with everyone to see what we can do to provide for those who are unable to get their cards working with the current system.

The crowdfunding engine we are presently using is far from optimal, but it is functional. You will have to enter the indicated amount manually as clicking on the rewards shown on the sidebar will not do anything. Despite the IGG-imposed complications, we never stopped moving forward on it, as this image from Issue #1 will serve to demonstrate.

It's the EU, not the taxes

The Yellow Vest protests are aimed at Macron's pro-EU administration, not just its fuel tax policy:
The fiery Yellow Vest protests that rage on across France have more to do with the “incompetent,” EU-dependent government policy than the rising gas prices, a French political commentator told RT. While many protesters vent their anger at President Emmanuel Macron, who took an unpopular decision to raise taxes and increase prices on fuel and other commodities, “they don’t realize the problem is much deeper and has to do with the general policy of the European Union.”

‘Most cops support Yellow Vest protesters over Macron’ – France police union chief to RT

“The revolt is not just about the gas prices, it’s a general revolt against the policy of the government,” Jean Bricmont, a French writer and political commentator, told RT. There’s not much that French authorities could do to relieve people’s worries and defuse tensions, he said, as Paris “has to obey the orders from the European Commission.”

On the back of violent rallies, President Emmanuel Macron said he will not back down on his controversial economic policy. “We won't change course. We are certain of that,” government spokesman Benjamin Griveaux has said, hinting that Paris was considering a state of emergency over the protests.

“I think [Macron] doesn’t realize the depth of the crisis … there’s not much he can do about it,” Bricmont speculated. “He’s not a statesman, he’s a banker, he’s been put in that position and thinks that he has solution to everything in his head. I think he’s extremely arrogant, extremely self-centered, extremely detached from reality.”

In the meantime, officials around Macron are “incompetent,” Bricmont added, “I’m really scared for France.”
Scared for France? This nationalist resistance to rule by traitorous satraps of the EU is exactly what France needs, only a lot more of it. The protests mean there is still hope for the nation of France in the long term.

Voxiversity 010: Rhetoric and Dialectic

Voxiversity 010: Rhetoric and Dialectic is a bit different than previous Voxiversities, as it was filmed live in Barcelona in front of the Foundation members, who chose the topic and were throwing me questions while we were filming in order to help me remember to hit some of the important aspects of the subject.

The live element definitely led to some minor issues, such as the wind interfering with the audio and me declaring incorrectly that Aristotle lived around 2400 BC. Just to be clear, the latter is NOT true, he lived about 2400 years ago. But these mistakes notwithstanding, viewers are already declaring this to be one of the best and most substantive Voxiversities of the ten to date.
As you can see from the video, we had a really good time at the Foundation meeting and there was considerable strategerizing. We expect to announce one of the chief outcomes of that meeting early in the new year.

The Packers fire McCarthy

The Green Bay Packers have certainly disappointed this year, but this is a surprisingly ruthless firing. At the very least, one would have expected Green Bay to let a Super Bowl-winning coach finish the season.
The Green Bay Packers have parted ways with Head Coach Mike McCarthy & named Joe Philbin interim head coach.
— Green Bay Packers (@packers) December 3, 2018
The best guess is that everyone wants the next Sean McVay and the supply is limited. By pulling the trigger so quickly, Green Bay will have first crack at whoever the next offensive genius is supposed to be.

This is... unusual

Nothing to see, just a top naval officer down. Move along now....
Vice Adm. Scott Stearney, who oversaw U.S. naval forces in the Middle East, was found dead Saturday in his residence in Bahrain, officials said. Defense officials told CBS News they are calling it an "apparent suicide."

Stearney was the commander of the U.S. Navy's Bahrain-based 5th Fleet. Rear Adm. Paul Schlise, the deputy commander of the 5th Fleet, has assumed command, the Navy said in a statement.

The Cult of the Secret King

Now there's a turn of phrase I wish I had thought of myself. But full credit to Adam Piggott, Gentleman Adventurer, who coined it while writing his review of Jordanetics:
Vox Day quotes Peterson regularly throughout the book, and nothing damns a charlatan so much as the act of exposing his lies to the direct sunlight of truth. What struck me every time I read a passage attributed to Peterson was the complete absence of clarity in his written word. In contrast to the plain language that Day uses, Peterson’s sentences are convoluted labyrinths of madness. But his skill lies in spreading just enough recognizable symbolism throughout his screed that an intelligent reader will both identify with the text while simultaneously refusing to admit that he has not actually understood it.

In other words, Peterson preys on people’s inherent narcissism and their tendency to project.... Peterson’s entire goal is to subvert those men who are on the cusp of acting on their questioning of the prevailing prog orthodoxy by rejecting globalism for nationalism. He does this by sucking them in with seemingly helpful platitudes to clean their room and take their pills but which themselves actually mask his true intentions. He desires a world-wide collective of mediocre automatons who will keep their mouths closed and will not act. In other words, they won’t get in the way. Far from building better men, his aim is to keep men in the nightmare of the gamma by ostensibly shielding them from the hell of the physical world with rules that perversely condemn them to circle a drain while under the delusion that they’re moving forward.

Peterson is a coward and like all cowards he can only better himself by attempting to bring everyone else down to his own level. He inhabits a world of lies and exploitation and he encourages his followers to get into a metaphorical bed with him while promising to reveal to them his secrets of power and success. Peterson is the self anointed special one and he makes the following demands of his acolytes: are you worthy enough to walk in my footsteps, and how high can you climb on my imaginary dominance hierarchy?

It was beyond my powers to penetrate the layers of concealment that Peterson employs to mask his true nature, but Vox Day is the man for the task. His book brilliantly exposes the evil intentions of this false prophet and while doing so reveals the utter worthlessness of the subject himself. How anyone could possibly take Peterson seriously after reading this book let alone follow him is beyond me.
Help the low-status lobsters in your life escape the cowardly Cult of the Secret King by giving them a copy of Jordanetics, still the #1 bestseller in Political Philosophy. Amazon isn't shipping the paperback yet, but Castalia Direct has it in stock.

This review is particularly interesting because Peterson has previously whined on Twitter about being criticized by Adam Piggott. It should be amusing to see how much longer he will persist in trying to respond indirectly to Jordanetics without actually mentioning it by name or addressing any of its highly specific contentions. Perhaps he should try a leaf out of Janet Reno's playbook. Dance party makes the bad book go away!
