Wildcard weekend

Discuss amongst yourselves if you are so inclined. Big win for the Colts over the Texans. And if Philadelphia beats Chicago, watch out!

Go Cowboys!

Blogger lubertdas January 06, 2019 8:53 AM

It seems to me that Philadelphia and Chicago are teams heading in opposite directions. The Eagles are on a downward slope, and the Bears are the up and comers.

Blogger Mr.MantraMan January 06, 2019 9:04 AM

Vikings a total choke job by going away from Thielen second half of the season, ha ha. Now for the Eagles to send Bears fans into the funk.

Bears defense is awesome - they should be put in charge of securing America's borders

Seattle blew my playoff prediction of beating Dallas and Saints then losing to Rams in NFC title game.

Expecting Belichek and Brady to unleash the Demonic Forces to get back to the Super Bowl again.

Eagles have won five of their last six

Go Ravens!

Slightly OT, I've seen a report that the Vikings were or are considering hiring Hue Jackson for OC. National Affirmative Action League strikes again.

Blogger Kevin January 06, 2019 11:20 AM

I like listening to all of the apologists for Hue Jackson. They don't want to admit that he was terrible at his job.

Fun to watch the Colts yesterday. GO BLUE!

If? Whadya mean if Philly beats Chicago? Of course, Philly wouldn't be in the playoffs if Da Bears hadn't beat the Vikings last weekend in what was really a meaningless game for them. There are those that say the Bears should've rested players last week as they matchup better against the Vikings, even if it meant facing a team for the third time in a season. Give credit to Nagy for playing out the season and setting the right tone in the locker room and with the players.

Couple of things I'm looking for:
>Is Bears safety Eddie Jackson going to be back after suffering a sprained ankle two weeks ago against the Packers? He says he will most likely play.
>St Nick's bruised ribs, how bad is it? Is he one good hit from being knocked out of the game? Will they dress Carson Wentz as the emergency backup QB and carry three QB's in the game?
>Just saw Bears TE Trey Burton (ex-Eagle) was declared questionable last night with a groin injury. The Bears two other TE's combined don't have a 100 yards receiving this year.
>Bears kicker Cody Parker (ex-Eagle) has been up and down this season. Eagles Kicker Jake Elliott, is going home for this game. He's from Western Springs, Illinois. Jake was perfect on field goal attempts in last year's playoffs.
>Darren Sproles finally playing in his first playoff game as an Eagle. The Eagles have went 4-1 since he was healthy enough to get back in the lineup this year. Zach Ertz is lobbying Sproles to play another five years; says teams have to play him differently when Sproles is on the field. Sproles had said he was retiring after this year.

Go Chargers!

Blogger WillBest January 06, 2019 12:55 PM

Eagles have won five of their last six

Bears have won 8 of their last 9.

Blogger LAZ January 06, 2019 2:35 PM

Allen Hurns' ankle will never be the same. That sucker was completely sideways. I rewound it and you can see several players flinch and look away.

Blogger LAZ January 06, 2019 2:36 PM

"Bears have won 8 of their last 9."

So have the Cowboys...

The real question is, whats NFL?

Still not giving up on the Packer's season...

Blogger lubertdas January 06, 2019 8:26 PM

After seeing that kicker miss that last minute field goal for the Bears, I've got to think that this next game is a "must win" for them...

Blogger DBSFF January 06, 2019 8:36 PM

Poor cody

Blogger SemiSpook37 January 06, 2019 8:38 PM

Well, Da Bears' kicker doinked it yet again. This is the same guy that caught FOUR posts in the same game at Soldier Field earlier this season.

Part of me has this sick delusion the Eagles beat the 'Aints and the Cowgirls beat the Rams. Lord help us if that happens...

Blogger Megamerc January 06, 2019 8:57 PM

I'm 2-2 on my playoff predictions this year. Picked the Texans and the Bears. At least one of them was close. Got the other two right.

Bears' kicker made the kick the first time, so Doug Pederson looks like a genius with that clutch time out. Good coach, that.

Chargers will lose to the Patriots.
Rams will beat Cowboys.
Saints and Eagles is a hard one, but I'll guess Saints.
Chiefs vs Colts is going to be a close one. If the Chiefs defense shows up under Eric Berry, then no contest, Chiefs win.

Purple corduroys, Vox? You gotta put a pic sometime. That took me back to when I wore them in grade school and middle school, otherwise I hadn't given a thought to corduroys in decades.

Turns out you can still find crazy colored corduroys including purple! That's just the juju that might work for the Vikings if you were to wear purple corduroys on game days next season.

Steelers fan. The Raven scum lost. I am content.

Blogger Colonel Blimp January 06, 2019 10:54 PM

I love those who think eagles are winning in new orleans. They beat them 48 7 a few weeks ago and havent lost a playoff game there in 27 years. If cowboys beat rams, im starting to smell a saints pats or saints colts II super bowl

I didn't have a dog in any of these games. But the freezing-the-kicker timeout is the faggiest thing in a sport that's added a lot of faggy things in the last several years. I don't blame teams for using it as long as it's available, but it should be eliminated.

Blogger James Dixon January 07, 2019 9:21 AM

Personally, I'm only worried about college football, specifically WVU. I'm just glad they got a coaching upgrade when Holgrosen left for Houston. Neal Brown looks like the real deal.
