CNN is Fake News
When reality interferes with the narrative, it's reality that must make way:
A Democrat with a racist past? That fact might be too far from the mainstream line for CNN, so they labeled Virginia Governor Ralph Northam a ‘Republican’ when reporting on his apology for a past racist photo. This sort of thing is why I don't ever watch ABCNNBCBS Fake News. If they're misrepresenting the most easily verified facts, what else are they lying about?
Northam is under pressure from both Democrats and Republicans to resign after admitting that he is one of two men that appeared in an old photograph, one in blackface and the other dressed in a KKK robe. He apologized for the photo, unearthed from a 1984 school yearbook this week, saying that it did not reflect the person he is today, and promised to work to regain the public’s trust, but did not indicate any intention to leave office.
When the story was covered on Anderson Cooper’s show on CNN Friday night, the governor’s name was labeled with the letter ‘R’ – which stands for ‘Republican’.

The Left: Talking about post birth abortion for the mental health of the mother is fine.
Also the Left: A racist costume! REEEEEE!
FBIABCNNBCBS!
@2 - Perhaps abortion should be legal in the case of a Repu...sorry, was watching CNN...a Democrat governor who will not step down after being caught in a rayciss photo?
For the mental health of the population of course.
The lies by omission are much worse than the lies by commission. I still remember the selective editing of the Zimmerman tape to make him sound like an evil racist though.
Their Father is The Prince Of Lies.
FBCIABCNNBCBS
CNN was the same station that identified Bull Conor, former DNC member, as an R. History books are just as bad from Howard Zinn (accusing early settlers of knowing enough germ theory to spread smallpox with blankets) to using conservative & liberal labels in the run-up to the French Revolution.
Why is the disqualify and discredit tactic so hated? When it comes to the scum media I view it as a necessity.
True story, my wife used to watch the morning FOX Chicago local news and being the Chicago station it was the usual Chicago fuckups reported on as any other station would, same slant same omissions.
Do you think I played conservative intellectual and consplained every damn thing she watched on FOX? Hell no, every time she came to me with the usual Boomercon gripes the first words out of my mouth were negative of the source FAUX News of Chicago.
Now she reads blurbs on screwbook so as to not become hypnotized by spoken sophistry and images.
wonder which one he was
This is disturbing. https://spectator.us/problematic-hollywood/
Who could forget this oldie but goody?
MSNBC falsely identifies segregationist George Wallace as a Republican
@7: If FBCIABCNNBCBS is not the perfect acronym for the modern American Synopticon, nothing is.
Everything is a lie
Meanwhile, I just got a 12hr twatter suspension for saying that I'd hire some laid off Vice journalists if they would learn how to code in Python, R or Matlab.
Clown world
"No true Democrat" fallacy.
@11: It is an obvious parody. Godfrey Elfwick gives it away!
This is a classic example of the motto:
A Lie Can Travel Halfway Around the World While the Truth Is Putting On Its Shoes
Sure they can make the 'right' changes and apologies later, but the lie and the coercion and propaganda its meant to achieve is ALREADY done and already seen.

This won't help.
Says his VMI nickname was Coonman.

I'm glad to see republicans call for his resignation and hopefully it's due ONLY because if the governor was a republican he would have been drummed out already.
Frankly I don't care, and who really does?
See instead of ineffectively mewling about leftist double standards, we can turn it right back at them. If a republican would have to go because of this, well then, so must the democrat.
Apparently Northam removed a photo of his African American running mate from campaign literature 3 weeks before the election. Link

Everything. Which is why Trump needs to deny them access, yank their broadcast licenses, and put them out of business.
The most frustrating part about Trump is that he doesn't seem to understand that this is a war. And he needs to fight it as such.
@11 Dave
The Spectator piece is a farce. Notice the tags at the bottom, including
HUMOR.
You should have picked that up with the one line evaluation of Schindler's List: "Too many Nazis."
Why, CNN is telling the "truth;" at least according to the new narrative: twice in the past two months, for the first time in decades, when I point out that the KKK was/is the militant wing of the Democratic Party, I get "No! the KKK switched to the Republican party in the late 60s or early 70s."
The KKK is still part of the Democratic Party even if ninety percent of the membership is FBI.
Am I wrong to not find that photograph offensive?
Remember when NIU claimed Lincoln was a Democrat on an official placque?
Here's Huffpo trying to justify it as "not wrong" with as specious a reasoning as you can imagine.
This is not exactly a new trick for the left. To many of my peers try to give the benefit of the doubt with the left and things like this, and claim that it as just an obvious typo. No, no it isn't. It is done on purpose because the elite left knows just how fucking stupid most leftist voters really are.
Forgot to include the link in my last post.

Wouldn't this explain why the governor is so pro-abortion.
Amazingly, he will be forced to resign due to this meaningless picture, instead of due to the horrible statements he made in favor of post-birth abortion.
God save us all.
It does not matter what happened once he addressed it publicly. I heard a public radio commercial that stated, “the Democratic Party is going to have a long road of rooting out hate and bigotry to remain relevant in a changing political landscape.” This prelude was followed by a British voice denouncing a Kkk and racism, which was then interrupted at the cadence of her statement by Northram’s apology recording. Fake news is tragic comedy.
Last white man out of the Democratic Party, turn out the lights. No one's going to see what happens after that.
The mainstream media is ultra-left. A bunch of SJWs who act just like the 2 books by Vox describe.
They are eat up with ENVY, one of the 7 deadly sins. They HATE normal Americans, that is to say White, and are working to destroy all heritage people.
They believe that when they have killed off all the right-wingers and there are only brown people who all look alike then a secular heaven will reign over the earth. The age of Aquarius?
And yet, human nature is to want to be with people just like themselves as much as possible. We can't even stop clicks in an all white upper class high school. Damn if we are going to make it safe for a white girls to walk by herself in downtown Detroit.
The left is insane.
Northam is staying. Democratic Party infighting is going to be epic. Over the coming two years, Vox is going to look like a predictive genius as the Not White Party takes undeniable form. The Bank Shot: tbe Elizabeth Warrens and Rachel Dolezals alike will be among the last to get it.
"Dear Dems,
In order to promote party strength and unity, I have decided that I will resign when that simian dipshit Maxine Waters resigns for promoting violence against whites and being illiterate in basic economics and when Ilhan Omar resigns for making antisemitic statements and for being a smelly low IQ raghead invader.
Love,
Ralphiepooh"

And yet he's done more to fight it than any Republican in history. What does that tell you?
@36: "And yet he's done more to fight it than any Republican in history. What does that tell you?"
I think Reagan did as much. But what it tells me is that the GOP Establishment is totally clueless. In particular, they are focused entirely on the business environment. Completely neglectful of the cultural battlespace.
They fail to realize there are things more important than a damned dollar bill.
Hammerli280 wrote:Everything. Which is why Trump needs to deny them access, yank their broadcast licenses, and put them out of business.
Which he does not have the power to do. Anyway, out of 236 NBC stations, only 12 are owned by NBC. The rest are owned by local broadcasters. Many of those also have cable contracts. So pulling a license would only affect those still using antenna.
ABC, CBS, and Fox are set up much the same way.
CNN does not broadcast. They are only on cable so they do not have a license.
Yes, he can deny them access, but taking them off TV is not a power he has.
Northam is obviously a white Hispanic Republican Klansman abortionist who is on georGe Zimmerman's bowling team. So obvious.
Refused to shake hands with his black Republican opponent in the 2013 Lt Gov race.

Godfrey is an awesome troll. But it is hard to parody the left lately
OT, but interesting?
Just found this msg on Gab:
(blue checked:)
Christopher Cantwell @Cantwell
I might ditch the AnCap flag, but I'm trying to escape the Nazi branding. Bad for business. No swastikas.
https://gab.com/Cantwell
Trump and Assange are White Wizards.
Don't know what to think about Cantwell, haven't listened to him in years. He's energetic at least.
I liked the photo: a "Negro" drinking a beer with a "klansman". Diversity uber alles!
Hard to believe they just discovered this "racist" yearbook thing now.
Seems more like something they were holding in reserve, and came out with now because they want to get the Coonman for some other reason. Looks like Harris, Booker, Fauxahontas, and Biden have all fallen in line in calling for his resignation. It'll be surprising if he survives this. I wonder what they're really after him for -- screwing up the abortion bill? Or something else?
Could get interesting if he refuses to step down, looking doubtful howswhomever, if that's a word.
Amazing how Robert Downey Jr. gets a pass for Tropic Thunder
@44 The eighties were a simple, innocent time. When an A-list Rock star could wear a t-shirt emblazoned proudly with the words "AIDS: Kills Fags Dead" -- such were the joys...
Last white man out of the Democratic Party, turn out the lights. No one's going to see what happens after that.
We'll still be able to see them when they bare their teeth.
Robert Downey Jr. is an interesting character. He is believed to be an anonymous contributor to CDAN. I heard a story involving a lovely Italian-American wife of a colleague who in her younger years, allegedly was wined and dined for an evening by Mr. Downey Jr. -- The young lady in question (allegedly) chose to refuse his highly dramatic advances; the upshot being Downey in fact behaved, in the end, as a gentleman. While he certainly inhabits the Swamp, I wonder if it's possible for a star of his magnitude to remain uninvolved. I will say his portrayal of Chaplin was brilliant.
@48- Are you sure that wasn't the 90s? Because I don't think Skid Row hit until '89 at the earliest.
In any case, Axl Rose definitely got in trouble for singing "faggot" circa 1988. The rot has long been with us.
@50- Downey Sr. was an actor-director who put Junior on drugs when he was like five, then put him in a bunch of his movies. So Lord knows what happened to him.
@47- Not sure why that was allowed, but it was of course PC and they had a black character there to complain about him. Also, they made fun of him for being Australian nonstop.
@ 51 It was '91 now that I look it up. Anyway, cool shirt!
The lyrics to One in a Million are pretty red pilled. I won't post them here; go look them up if you get the notion, Axl crosses all kinds of red lines.
I will admit to having watched Tropic Thunder probably five times.

Yeah, he's clearly pretty smart. Real good at rhetoric and being a firebrand. He's just shown a lot of immaturity and impulsiveness over time.
He's got potential, and is learning over time (though I also haven't listened to anything of his for quite a while now.
Overall it's funny how many of these guys are coming around to a lot of what Vox has advised/said for a long time. Ah well, human nature will be human nature, I suppose. It's a process.

"clueless"? "neglectful"? "fail to realize"? Not likely. The GOP are true believing, militant leftists. Leftism provides the philosophical justification for policies that serve the donor class and the Dems and GOP are owned by the same donors. Open borders, constant war and a big government funneling cash and perks to the right people. The two parties are just a choice between leftist policies with flag waving and Bible thumping and leftist policies with kill whitey rhetoric.
Or maybe I am just too cynical for thinking the "compassionate conservatism" of the Bushies and Rockefeller's "Conservatives who Care" weren't just the product of misguided altruism.
@44 D.
And then the Lion shall lie down with the Lamb in Virginia, and VA Governor Coonman will have brought perfect peace and inclusion.
@54 Overall it's funny how many of these guys are coming around to a lot of what Vox has advised/said for a long time. Ah well, human nature will be human nature, I suppose. It's a process.
That would include a certain fellow whose initials are AA if I am not mistaken.
It's almost funny how pathetic the attempt was.
MJimmy wrote:That would include a certain fellow whose initials are AA if I am not mistaken.MJimmy wrote:That would include a certain fellow whose initials are AA if I am not mistaken.
Ha! That's richly ironic if true.
Oh also: there may even be some new Christians in the bunch before it's all over. There probably already are some.
There was a '93 track by rap group Brand Nubian called Punks Jump Up to get Beat Down -- an apt description of how the clueless Alt-Retards marched into C-Town like sheep to the slaughter.
Ted Danson also got little more than a "tsk tsk" for wearing blackface. Normally, being a leftist means these things don't touch you, or you get off with an apology. That's why this looks like a power grab by the new radicals of the Democratic Party, more than a genuine reaction by anyone. They will lead the party in a couple decades anyway, but they don't want to wait. They want to get the purges and gulags started while they're still young enough to enjoy it.
Some of us have been saying for a while that the Democrats would never run a white man for national office again. This is just one step in the process that will ensure that.
Northam has made it impossible for him to do his office, not because he might, maybe be a racist individual. He being a Leftist Democrat governor, we know that is pretty much impossible. But now he has told all of Virginia that he intends to prove it a thousand times by giving away the store. Much work needs to be done and there is plenty left on the store shelves, that would ordinarily go to all of Virginia, but now he has a special mission to virtue signal with the state treasury. No doubt, nearly all of his appointments as governor will reflect the fact that he must work doubly hard to prove his non-racist bonafides.
We have seen this in the past with Robert Byrd and George Wallace, men who clung to significant public office by shoveling benefits to the Leftist pets in the form of patronage and gimmies for many years.
Governor Northam has become similarly impaired and will now comply with their every whim, so he is unable to do his office for all of Virginia. If he ever had an issue with bias in the past, he certainly does now.
He's now saying it wasn't him after all, in that picture, but in some unrelated Michael Jackson blackface costume (as if dressing up as one of the worst pedophiles in entertainment history, after advocating for "post birth abortion" infanticide would be any better).
But /pol/ seems to have already drawn some further connections: Ouch!
Interesting info on history of black face related to The Jazz Singer, from Black Pilled. Black face existed before that in minstrel shows.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAAAtqSeRKI
My take on Northam is that his pro-baby-killing stance was going to be a problem, and seeing a pro-abortion politician get badly dinged for that would hurt the narrative. So, the narrative keepers trotted out this minor indiscretion to pillory him over, because slapping a pol around for raycism is OK, but slapping him around for favoring abortion is not.
Notice how we've all stopped talking about the Virginia abortion bill and the Fake American who pushed it?
