Lock her up

Does this investigation explain why Hilary Clinton uncharacteristically decided not to run in 2020?
After it claimed no such document existed, the Justice Department just unearthed a letter Matt Whitaker delivered to the Utah U.S. attorney directing a review of how the department handled the Clinton Foundation and the Uranium One issues.

Then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions wrote the letter on Nov. 22, 2017 for Utah U.S. Attorney John Huber. Matt Whitaker, who was Sessions’ chief of staff at the time, emailed the letter to Huber that day, writing, “As we discussed.” He also sent Huber a copy of a letter the Justice Department’s Congressional affairs chief sent to the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee on Nov. 13 of that year.

The existence of a letter documenting Sessions’ directive that the DOJ revisit probes of Trump’s top political foe is a surprise because a department lawyer said in court last year that senior officials insisted it didn’t exist. The liberal nonprofit American Oversight obtained the letter through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request they filed on Nov. 22, 2017––the same day Whitaker emailed Sessions’ letter to Huber.

The request asked for documentation of the directions Sessions gave Huber about the review of the Clinton investigations. After DOJ failed to produce any written directions, American Oversight sued.

And on Nov. 16, 2018, Senior Counsel in the Office of Information Policy Vanessa Brinkmann, who handles FOIA Requests, said a lawyer in Sessions’ office told her no such letter existed. That lawyer spoke with Huber and Whitaker, she said in a declaration filed in federal court, and then told her that “when the Attorney General directed Mr. Huber to evaluate these matters, no written guidance or directives were issued to Mr. Huber in connection with this directive, either by the Attorney General, or by other senior leadership office staff.”

That wasn’t correct. On Wednesday of this week, a DOJ lawyer told American Oversight that they had found the document that kicked off Huber’s work.

The letter, which American Oversight provided to The Daily Beast, is consistent with what the DOJ’s chief of legislative affairs has told Congress: that Huber is scrutinizing the sale of a Canadian uranium mining company with interests in the United States to Rosatom, a Russian state-owned company. Republicans have long alleged that then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton declined to oppose the deal because of contributions to the Clinton Foundation.

Shadow Warriors : How Trump's Praetorian Is Saving The Republic

Thu, February 14, 2019

In just six days this month, five political careers burned to the ground.

On 5 February, 2019 Elizabeth Warren was exposed as a liar and charlatan, having lied about her native American ancestry to advance herself, for decades.

Then between 6 & 11 February, the careers of Virginia politicians and swamp rats Ralph Northam, Justin Fairfax, Mark Herring and the corrupt Tommy Norment were all destroyed in a complex, extremely well planned and calibrated takedown.

Yes, they're all trying to keep going. But don't worry. There will be more hits coming, if required.

All of the above are done.

As you will see in this piece, these events aren't random. In fact, they are connected. And the path leads back to a specific date - 20 September, 2017.

Our opponents lie brazenly about everything. If you're so against our side lying when it's very beneficial (or at least perceived to be very beneficial) then you should first learn the importance of ACTUALLY WINNING.

At this point I would cheer the AGUSA if he ordering the DOJ to start gunning down Antifa on sight - our commitment to "playing by the rules no matter what" while our enemies literally use those rules as their playthings is nothing but horrible strategy meant to stroke egos.

Supposedly McCain and his entire family pretended he had a fatal illness to cover up a clandestine execution for his crimes. Of all the doubtful stuff from Q, that's most doubtful.

Blogger Stilicho March 11, 2019 8:15 AM

I want to believe Q. I simply can't. Too much hype over The Plan, the Storm (that never comes...Next year, Jerusalem!), etc.

The new "date" from Q is March 18. Much hype. I suspect it will simply be the "meh" release of the long awaited Meuller report about perjury traps and process crimes. Some in the media are already "warning" Meuller that his report had better not disappoint them (which is more of a crime than anything Flynn did!). We'll see. But the ubiquitous Q allusions to thousands of sealed indictments, military tribunals, etc. blow any credibility.

On the other hand, as VD says, the known machinations of the deep state certainly support the conspiracy theory of history. The never-disproven Pizzagate scandal/Podesta email revelations were eye-opening about the level of evil prevalent in govt and the globalist set. It certainly laid solid ground work for Q to appear and capitalize on. Finally, even if Q is a LARP, it has served a purpose by causing many more people to look behind the narrative for facts.

In fairness to the Q Army crowd, there are one hell of a lot more sealed indictments and such than at any time in recorded history. That suggests something is going on, even if it's not what QAnon is posting about on 8chan.

The sealed indictments are there, but they remain sealed. It looks like version 2 of the same old blackmail arrangement. This is part of the reason I keep saying that Trump wants to minimize the damage he does to the ruling class.

NO GOOGLES wrote:At this point I would cheer the AGUSA if he ordering the DOJ to start gunning down Antifa on sight - our commitment to "playing by the rules no matter what" while our enemies literally use those rules as their playthings is nothing but horrible strategy meant to stroke egos.

If Trump were willing to do any of that, he could have started during or immediately after the inauguration.

Trump is working a plan he may have set in motion four decades ago. What we're seeing isn't blind fumbling, it's Trump doing what he long ago set out to do. That obviously isn't what we wanted, and based on results so far, it obviously isn't going to drain any swamps. Trump never meant to - not what we meant by it, anyway.

Trump wants to save the ruling class from itself, not destroy it. Four decades ago, that probably would have seemed reasonable to us all.

Even if Q is a total fraud, a basement-dwelling LARPer with no more inside information than my dog, he gets his ideas from somewhere. One of those sources would be the chans, where there were "insider anons" talking about this stuff months before Q ever appeared. They didn't talk like super-spies with decoder rings; they talked like real people who were being eaten up by things they knew and wanted to get them on the record somewhere. Some of the things they talked about have been confirmed, like dirty names at the FBI. Others still look promising. Often it centered around the Clintons and their dirty dealings, and none of that has been DISproved yet, for what it's worth.

Blogger Damelon Brinn March 11, 2019 9:18 AM

The theory on McCain is that he agreed to a secret execution to protect his reputation as a war hero. I suppose it's possible that meant that much to him.

My problem with that, if it's true, is that it won't help much to DrainTheSwamp in a democracy if the idiot voters fill it right back up. I don't have much hope for democracy anyway, but it sure as hell won't work if the voters never learn the consequences of their stupid voting in the past. Public tribunals are a necessary part of it.

Blogger Uncle John's Band March 11, 2019 9:28 AM

Speculating on who Q is shifts attention from what Q is saying. Trump has tacitly supported Q all along - the exact nature of their relationship is secondary their being on the same page. This bears out in the relentlessly civ nat vision that both espouse. Even if Q proves 100% right on the Deep State, its ideology will prove ultimately distasteful to the nationalist right.

Blogger justaguy March 11, 2019 9:31 AM

The problem with just having a letter to one of the U.S. attorneys, is that the office could slow roll the investigation or dive into it. The warrant would give Huber power like the special counsel, but he certainly hasn't used it.

My guess is that the letter and problem was slow rolled, just like DOJ covered up so much of the FBI misconduct. No one wants to stand up and stop the parade. Maybe Barr will do it. Maybe not. If 2020 is a reasonable win-- then we might get a real investigation. The swamp is too deep here. With the never trump crowd, there aren't any go-getters to clean out DOJ. My take is the best win we can get is not getting 67 votes to impeach in the senate. That has been the obvious threat since before inauguration. In 2017, I didn't think that the president had the 34 votes to keep him in the senate. Now I do not know. Maybe. But everything is done with that count to 67.

Here is an add, as to the sealed indictments and Qanon. I’m not an insider, have no specific knowledge, but these take into account some of the methodologies for examining the claims, two skeptical, one supportive (middle). The latter of the ordered three provides a comparative reconstruction. It’s not my field of interest, so I present it at face value from my brief and shallow encounter. The more inclined would likely provide a better analysis than I at this point. #25 takes my understanding, both for “lock her up” and “impeach Trump.” It seems mostly show, with bishops and pawns paying the price, to the extent that chess is involved rather than boxing. Even so, it buys invaluable time, again, with a Valley Forge.

What? Exactly what does 15 Apr have to do with "paying up"? The taxes are already paid, taken from your paycheck before you ever see a cent, and Apr 15 is the "Oops, we took too much, thanks for the interest-free loan, have your money back"-day.

Mr.MantraMan wrote:But Trump seems to be stuck with low energy dopes who fear the bribe takers and their fixers. What's he to do?
"Stuck with"? Trump's assigned most of them [ostensibly] himself, he's chosen both to surround himself with swamp-creatures and to empower them by giving them positions of power/authority — at some point we have to realize that this is a pattern. No whether that's because he's given bad advice for his 'short-lists', or whether someone else is forcing it, or whether these are fully his own picks is a separate discussion.

On the other hand imagine if the mob, ie the normal range of people, gets whipped up into a frenzy. The main controller of their moods and thoughts is still the mainstream media. Q had said that their current primary goal is to demolish media reputation with things such as 'fake news' and leading them into hysterics. If the US were turned into a riot today, with the televised execution of Hilary Clinton and Soros, I imagine the mob would be more easily controlled by the Enemy than by the patriots. These people will be led to wreck the nation in fast forward, Antifa written in large bold print in every state.

So in the end the call for blood is a personal thirst for justice vs. blowing up the nation a decade early. Quite the dilemma.

Especially on a vote for something like William S. Lind for SECDEF, or Fitton/Klayman for AG.

Who said anything about fantasy? Either the Presidential appointments are his responsibility or they are not. It is obvious they are. It is equally obvious that the appointments are pure swamp — and don't tell me that there's nothing he could do, he could easily wear them down by making a list of people who would "hoist the black flag" and simply nominate down the list making them into the obvious obstructionists.

There's other things he could do that are low-hanging fruit; for example: how many Americans would object to him ordering the DOJ to investigate/prosecute the rampant vote fraud from 2018? This is a "no-lose" situation and would be actual work on draining the swamp.

It's like the Republican party for the past 15-20 years: complete newbies with zero experience could (and would) have done better with taking advantage of the Republican majorities in the Legislature because they would occasionally get something done for the base instead of continually stabbing them in the back. There complete lack of taking any sort of advantage of the majorities absolutely shows how they're the "controlled opposition" branch of the Uniparty.

I think she was the victim of fake news. Her intention is to stay low key until later, and then appear as the only competent candidate to save the party. She wants it to look like she's being drafted, rather than something she came up with. But a lot of people, including journalists, blame her for the Democrat loss. Now, obviously, no one wanted to vote for her, but it is doubtful any of the other Democrat candidates would have fared well against Trump. I think they simply chose to make it sound like she said what they wanted her to say, rather than report her words honestly.

Going by how many of my friends I can no longer peaceably bring up politics with and how many people I no longer speak with in general, enough people would object that it would generate confusion and chaos that is easily misled into obstructing and corrupting the process. Think, man, about how many people still buy into the tired 'Russia hacking the election' narrative, right after buying into the 'the election is unhackable' narrative. She's been the power behind the throne twice, for men who were less focused on the job than she was, so they handed her considerable power. She ran foreign policy and more under Obama, and some of us are old enough to remember that most of the serious Clinton scandals of the 90s traced back to her office. It was her employee who was illegally browsing through hundreds of FBI files, for instance.

That's part of the reason she thinks it's her turn to have it all for herself without a man in the way. If she really doesn't run again, and she's still alive, there will have to be a very good reason.

#23 How do I know that DOJ is slow rolling the "DOJ clean-up" investigation? Mainly because no one has been questioned with the panoply of lawyers and issues to the judge about it. They could be "waiting for the other investigation" to avoid interference, but trying to clean up the operations run against the Trump campaign and then the President=elect would take questioning a bunch of swamp dwellers.
