Not-Americans embrace socialism

It's hardly a surprise that the least American generational cohort in US history is also the most socialist-friendly:
Generation Z has a more positive view of the word "socialism" than previous generations, and — along with millennials — are more likely to embrace socialistic policies and principles than past generations, according to a new Harris Poll given exclusively to Axios.

Why it matters: The word "socialism" does not carry the same stigma it did in the past, now that it has been resurrected by celebrity politicians like Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Young people's political views often change as they grow older, but their support for socialistic policies is a sign that the old rules of politics are changing fast.
And they're also increasingly tribal. One positively wonders what could possibly come after the inevitable failure of Neo-Palestinian rule. Such a mystery....

White Socialism.

Hmm. They might not be happy when that word turns out to be something other than their imagined meaning.

They want socialism. That's a emasculated judaized society for you. So does Richard Spencer. So does a lot of idiot "wignats." The perfect marriage.

At this point, I partly want this nation to have Socialism out of spite. The dumb masses simply will NOT REST until they experience what the Soviet Union has gone through. "Americans" think they can be do shiek and fashionable about it. "We can do everything twenty times better!" So...America will "do socialism" to a greater and harsher degree than anyone else. And in the end, this place will become a ruined place. Because stupidity.

At least they got to enjoy Captain Marvel and fade out nobly.

Of course Gen Z wants socialism. They are taught that their are two options, capitalism and socialism. Option number one has completely decimated the middle class and shows no ability to slow down the increasing stratification between haves and have nots. Pro capitalist people can go on all they want about how everyone has cheap phones now but the have nots don't care when they can't afford housing much less a family.

I'm pro anything that will help destroy this disgusting system. Socialism will, so let's get some socialism going on.

The most convincing point against integration for me was in Cuckservative when Vox pointed out that the whole "successful integration" narrative is an obvious lie, since the second wave of Germans and Scandinavians into America didn't even successfully integrate. Rather, they just subverted and weakened the pre-existing Anglo-American traditions of personal freedom, self reliance, and etc. If even other westerners--people that actually could eventually visually blend in with the white population--couldn't do it, why is anyone surprised when third worlders, and their progeny, fail?

But, of course, no one is actually surprised. Instead, we just get to become increasingly more like the third world.

GenZ in very interesting. There's something at work with them, almost as if nature is organizing a caste system. I met two GenZers last week. The one literally spoke to me almost entirely in popular culture sound bites, like the "Bumble Bee" character from the Transformers movie. The other ended up making it perfectly clear that he didn't trust anyone, including me.

In the latter young man and those like him, I have tremendous faith.

The pop culture and meme obsessed Gen Zers are very frustrating to deal with because there's nothing beyond that. Marvel movies and popular video games are not interesting and not a replacement for a personality. The responsibility lies with the parents who took a hands off approach and let society raise their children.

Socialism works quite well when defined as a confidence trick. And confidence tricks, as Wikipedia tells us, "exploit characteristics of the human psyche, such as credulity, naïveté, compassion, vanity, irresponsibility, and greed."

In other words, socialism is a chocolate-covered rock.

Gen Z is primed to adopt socialism. Many in that age group are struggling to start a family and make it. A lot aren't succeeding. I'm not surprised at all to see it's popularity rising.

My 28 year old son even talks in terms of socialism, but doesn't use the word itself. In his youth he wonders why the world can't be more fair. Thankfully he is open to being red-pilled on the subject, and is already skeptical of government in general.

The truth is that my son and nearly all the other gen Z's don't have a historical framework to judge by. All they have are the personal experiences of their group. I hope they don't have to learn the hard way.

Blogger Cabeza de Vaca March 11, 2019 1:39 PM

I'm sure that some form of limited socialism could work quite well if it were administrated by honest, capable and highly intelligent people. It seems to me the main argument is not the system itself, if we're talking about socialism as opposed to full-on, centralized communism, but those who are pushing it and their thinly disguised agendas that have nothing to do with the collective good. On the other hand if the real problem of evil in society could be solved there would be no apparent need for an institutional Robin Hood.

BTW Venezuela was fucked already before (more) socialism was instituted which was supposed to solve the problems of corruption and worsening disparities that left many without basic sustenance fairly often. I don't know if it helped much with that before it created even more problems.

Blogger Damelon Brinn March 11, 2019 1:44 PM

Right. We (X) weren't taught much history, but they were taught nothing, not even the indoctrination narratives we got. That means they have no context to reject something like socialism, but they are also immune to things like Holocaust guilt. None of that has any impact on them.

On the other hand, the ones I'm familiar with are fully indoctrinated on sexual perversion -- i.e., that there is no such thing. Gays, trannies, furries, they're fine with all of it as long as everyone's consenting.

Okay, this is my macro prediction. And I know it sounds like a cynical blackpill. But I objectively believe this will happen.

America will dive headfirst into socialism. This will last either:

1. 200 years
2. indefinitely
3. Until U.S./American civilization collapses a long time from now, after deteriorating into a form we, today, will not recognize at all

How will it happen? I think that in 2030 (as Vox says) or sooner, the Left will co-opt the federal and state governments in a round-up/execution/civil war against all white Christians (definitely the males). And this will be the Civil War. It will not be like the first Civil War. But more like a Soviet/Maoist purge. And many people will diligently comply with a large amount of unreasonable demands, cucking, turning themselves in, and trying to be "noble" and upright in their respect for "law and order."

I'm amazed by the mental block people have discussing Jewish influence in the culture. In Canada the triple-rate legal immigration (compared to USA) was used to hide the mixed-economy socialism/capitalism tax-funding failure, which became obvious by 1990. It is not full central planning so it lasts decades without failing.

USA could triple legal non-imbecile selected foreigner immigration to delay the process of failure by expanding the tax base with them. So don't favour socialism. It doesn't fail fast.

Socialism lowers standards in the hospitals, raises the price of houses, tuition, and healthcare, as it funds the cohort which is satisfied with subsidies. You have to know how to play the inflation of assets game, while others get their low-cost subsidized versions of houses/healthcare/education funded. If you are caught outside those two groups, then you are the biggest loser.

It is a dual system and Garth Turner, investment advisor, ex-member of parliament, openly brazenly advocates it; socialism for most, and 60/40 bonds/stocks, low capital gains rates, with a guaranteed 7% annual total return for risk takers, by micro-management of the stock market by Jerome Powell now, for example.

Yes. I am no historian, but socialist here in MN and WI meant anti big business like Cargill. It was very populist.

I am very anti commie and anti socialist but I do not think the word socialist describes much. Using the word communist to describe China, Cuba, and North Korea does not add much.

People used to tout Norway for this and that. Better when Norway was more white. I say fine. MN has the same population. Give MN the amount of local control that Norway has and see what happens.

Decades ago I read about socialist utopia in Sweden and Norway etc. I also read about very strict govt control over the color you could paint your house or how you could raise your kids. Being a layabout on welfare had bad consequences, socially at the very least. Iceland recently threw banksters in jail. If that is socialism I want some here.

30 years ago I made my only trip to Italy. Waiting for a ferry in Brindisi I got good vibes. A healthy small town with social cohesion. It seemed like 1900 America. They were preparing for some local yearly festival in the town square. Flags flying. Very nice.

The flags were hammer and sickle. The local govt was communist. It blew my much younger mind.

If socialism includes rationing care for elderly people then young people would be mad to not be for socialism: there's an abundance of single old women who didn't bother to have children, or only had one, who is also old by this point. If socialism means that your regular government clinics that cater to immigrants have empty shelves, then white dem socialists already see that as a means to control a population.

Consider: right now, insulin prices are rising: crony Democrats buy the company, then raise the prices. On one hand, corruption. OTOH, poor minorities cannot afford to keep living. Poor white people ,handily enough, whites not related to the elite northeasterners, die off, too. It's war on the descendants of the Confederacy. But mostly, it's a tacit admission that the Spic/Nig calorie cycle is unsustainable. At least two of New York City's boroughs are nearly bankrupt from healthcare costs for diabetic immigrants.

Old, liberal women brought down the Soviet Union. You don't think this keeps Dems awake at night? They wanted their pensions. They wanted their single, precious grandson to not go to war in Afghanistan. They wanted to know where the bodies of their grandsons were, the ones on the sunken submarines. You can shoot young protestors. People do it all the time. But grannies? They just sit there, day after day, wearing black, looking sympathetic, helping young people when the authorities aren't looking. And,they are old enough, and complicit enough, to know what sort of things you want to keep hidden: the 80% abortion rate, their husbands drinking himself to death from despair.

I would hope that gen Z and millenials could be made to see some things in front of their eyes.

1. Who benefits from their student loan debt? Why didn't any of their wonderful schools or professors warn them off? How much did their profs or admins make? How many work hours a week? What if Ford was allowed to sell you a $40K car at age 18 and you could never discharge the loan even in bankruptcy?

2. Some of them already make racial conclusions. My son's friends use the phrase smart-asian-kid as one long hyphenated word. The make conclusions about blacks as well.

3. If they can still read long books, Atlas Shrugged might still be a good antidote. It made me think long ago. You don't have to join her cult and it is not great literature.

4. Maybe there is hope in having them do a back of envelope calculation on the net tax effect of low skilled immigrants. Maybe that is too much to ask.

Great post. Thanks.
It is also easier for commies to capture a port town where competition from other towns is harder. Unlike a factory town were there is world wide competition.

VDH used the example of a UC system professor expecting his Guatemalan pool boy to pay his pension in later years.

Yours is only the second time I read of immigrants and dialysis clinics. More news and links appreciated. VDH also mentioned two new dialysis clinics in Fresno. Rotund brown immigrants are type 2 diabetes in waiting. Then transplants. Different states have different rules on paying for illegals dialysis. I believe many pay out of medicare. Around $80K per year medicare reimbursement. This info is useful in response to liberals "but they pay taxes" rubbish. How much in taxes?

OT but vaguely so as we are discussing socialism:

My husband is reading China Mieville's PERDIDO STREET STATION for the first time and telling me about it.

"... and the bird guys are communists," he says.
"Obviously," I say, referring to the author's proclivities.
"You know what the problem is with having the bird guys be communists?" he says.
"What?" I reply.
"You can't throw them out of helicopters."

That China Mieville, always thinking ahead.

Imperialists quite literally did it in late January of this year, and that was only the latest in a series. Or did you think this whole thing was over something other than oil?

pyrrhus wrote:@32 The problem with all this worship of freaks, degenerates, and low IQ minorities is that when the roof caves in, people who aren't productive won't eat, and there will be no welfare for them.

When the roof caves in the various local factions will have their own core cadre of people who volunteer to join them.

The wandering homeless zombies will be press-ganged (if they are healthy and worthy). Those who have little value will be sent away down the road. Those who can work or have useful skills will be fed and housed and participate in fixing the roof that collapsed. Those who are pressed into service will be assigned to security work, if they are suitable, and many of the rest will be sent to farms and mines. The old order will not be restored, but the natural order will be...which will be more feudalistic rather than egalitarian.

Many of the people here talk as if the economic system of the USA is "capitalism". It is not. I don't know what is the best term to use, but many have used "crony capitalism" and perhaps that term is the best, perhaps not. I always thought economic fascism was more correct.

I do know we damn sure don't have laissez-faire capitalism.

This was always the goal. The Marxists believe in a stable demographic state where class is the only identity. All that was necessary was to remove all other forms of identity. However, it is not in the least stable nor is class identity the only remaining group signifier.

umm, I don't know that there's a compilation of stats. My dad is diabetic. He worked for the government before he retired, something admin, nothing glamorous. So his doctors would mention stats while having a conversation about whatever they talked about.

I think the most vivid illustrations of this, with extreme snark and statistics, would be if you googled 'the spic-nig cycle" and MPCdot . My search engine is wonky, so I'm getting a Twitter post, but not a thread on what looks like a private forum. Or r/K selection theory and aging. I'm not really sure. It's like asking about lesbian violence. I knew it, but the format was one awkwardly phrased sociology study trying to bury the fact, until Milo wrote his famous essay and got his first international hate-fame going. So it was kind of just buried tree in the forest.

The TimeLife black and white history series have photo essays from the magazines, I guess. They had a book about the Cold War had a chapter on the old women in the Soviet Union bringing down the Soviet Union. There's all kinds of hate-facts in the series and in the footnotes. It's kind of oddly phrased, and you have to check things, because it's like they leave off half the sentence or the causations always sound kind of weird. They'll leave out critical information, if it concerns religion. Like, all the different protest marches that finally broke each local soviet were after religious services pastored by very specific, individual priests, in basically every faith tradition. I'd spend money to break churches, or corrupt them, if I were a wealthy true-believer in the soviet future, since that's who broke their power last time.

The thing is: for transplants? You have to have a match. And, like, mixed race couples have children who are not matches with anyone else in the world. They can be donors, but they can't be acceptors. Which I sort of wonder is a motivation driving the propaganda towards mixed-race black and white children. I mean, they die in utero at spectacular rates, they die stillbirth, they die SIDS more than other children, and then, if they've got organ damage from eating like a poor white person or almost any black person, they can't get replacement organs. Their black fathers die, on average, short of collecting social security, so I don't know that they live much longer than their fathers. And, since our esteemed guests who can do no wrong are 4% African, there's a chance they are more excellent organ donors than whites, being slightly more compatible. Would you rather have an American kidney, liver and lungs, or would you risk buying a suite of organs from a Brazilian slum, or an Adriatic coastline slum? The slums have heinous rates of unspeakable blood-borne diseases.

Maybe look up essays around the time Rahm Emanuel was floating rationing care? Like, on the pro-rationing side? Lefties know the gov't numbers. It's their job. So, in their journals and essays, they tend to be very blunt and informative with each other.

@19 "Every generation we're assured that American youth are intense socialists,"

Ever think to look and see (((WHO))) is assuring "us" of this? Hmmmm.

Blogger Avalanche March 12, 2019 5:33 AM

@39 "It's a tough truth that upwards of 80% of people are mere filler."

Thus, perhaps, the repeating solar minimum/Ice Age cycles that kill off the vast overpopulation of humans. (God's perpetual motion machine?)

@42 "point out the (((demographic))) most responsible, it flips a switch in them."

Like any (((inculcated))) 'flinch' reaction to the signal, you must exercise the flinch until it self-extinguishes. The problem being, you must be able to 'stick close enough' to your target to keep triggering the reflexive response. As a "dialectic speaker," I keep feeding small bits, answering their objections and questions with the lowest level of "oh look, and here are the jews again, at the cause of ... whatever." Using such topics as:
1. porn: titillating then, as they see the (((names))) and (((names))) and (((names))), eye opening!
2. unfairness in academic admissions, esp. if they have h.s.-aged kids!
3. diversity doctors (esp. for their kids) because: "who will flunk a black med student?!" That one really moves the needle!
4. even black checkout girls at the supermarket. My neighbor always rolled his eyes that I insist on going to a White checkout girl every time, but he has noticed (by my repeated triggering of his reflex) that black checkout girls ARE sullen, unfriendly, unhelpful, and careless. Oh. Look. Interesting. Now HE preferentially 'goes White.'
5. The media graphic showing , e.g, CNN is filled beyond belief with (((execs and reporters))) -- makes the target's mind take notice. "What if the media were packed with moslems or Mormons or negros -- what effect would THAT have on your news?"

If you can't 'stay close' to keep tripping their reflex; then just trying to get them to SEE they have one is a start. I LOVED Vox's correction on a DarkStream that 'you CANNOT be "100% pro-israel" and still be America First.' Brilliant rhetoric that is entirely true (thus, dialectic).

Its a lie, but it explains why (((they))) are trying to push the voting age down to 16 or even 14.
