They say it can't be done

But Santo Matteo has proven otherwise. The graph below shows the reduction in the number of refugees entering Italy from 2017 through March 11, 2019. Of course, the Italians do have centuries more experience in resisting invasion of their borders upon which to draw.

Call me crazy, but I'm beginning to think they don't know what can and can't be done.

Amazing what happens when you have a spine.
Sink the damn ships.
Change the signs on the "refugee centers" to "deportation camps".

Blogger pdwalker March 13, 2019 6:27 AM

They know damn well what can’t be done. They’re doing it deliberately

Blogger John Best. March 13, 2019 6:40 AM

This will be useful when they globalists claim nothing can be done about migrations. Since they are all about facts, evidence and statistics.

Well, the funny thing is, you don't have to do a whole lot. All a nation-state has to do is stop doing things really.

Stop handing out visas. Stop giving welfare to non-citizen. Stop advertising that your country is open for colonization. Stop promoting foreign cultures. They'll leave on their own. Plus look at all the time and money saved!

Blogger Azimus March 13, 2019 8:23 AM

Can I ask a follow-up question since I don't speak Italian? Is this refugees landed on the shore or refugees accepted by the government? The number for 2017 seems small compared to the numbers we've heard for the overall size of the invasion.

We are reliably informed (by the Gay Moustache and the like) that this is simply un-possible, so your graph must be wrong.

Blogger jmg March 13, 2019 9:24 AM

better yet lets see the numbers on those being kicked out

Blogger dc.sunsets March 13, 2019 9:38 AM

Hell, all the USA has to do is STOP PAYING for invasion and it will stop.
1. Defund "refugee resettlment."
2. Defund all "immigration" legal services.
3. Eliminate the EIC (stop allowing illegals to obtain tax "refunds.")
One doesn't even have to get all Vlad-the-Impaler about E-verify.

Oh, and 4) Proof of citizenship (or ability to pay) is required for treatment at any hospital.

Migrants and "refugees" are simply a means by which lots of Americans suck the teat of Uncle Sam's Treasury. As college students are a means by which higher ed accesses federally-funded loan dollars and old people are a means by which those in the Medical Services cartel grab for money in Medicare (as are indigent patients for Medicaid), all we see is a naked money-grab by "service providers" who simply use their human chess-pieces as rationalization.

Just as institutionalizing Weapons Production created a corporate-congressional nexus of corruption called the Military-Industrial-Complex, we have the exact same PARASITIC system for Medical Services, "Immigration," Welfare Administration and Higher Ed.

The clients of these systems are irrelevant except for their role in enabling the robbery of the treasury, and the kickbacks to Congressmen in the form of campaign donations. As long as Uncle Sam can float more bonds onto the Bond Ocean, NONE of this will change.

I'm sorry, I can no longer stay silent: isn't it "San Matteo" and not "Santo Matteo"? Both what I can recall of my long-dormant Italian and this wikipedia article seem to suggest that:

Blogger marco moltisanti March 13, 2019 11:00 AM

@15 Yeah, seriously. "Santo Matteo" has always sounded gratingly wrong. It doesn't flow right at all if you know Italian. Vox has written it this way repeatedly and maybe a PM would have been better, but my instincts said that would seem "gamma."

Nice knowing you all, if I get disappeared over this. However it shakes out, I'll always be grateful to Vox for clarifying what I'd already observed in my years living in other cultures and learning their languages about ethnic nationalism, and I'll probably keep checking in from the Phantom Zone.

Blogger VD March 13, 2019 11:07 AM

Both what I can recall of my long-dormant Italian and this wikipedia article seem to suggest that...

Key word: seem.

See, this is the problem with being a gamma. You just have to show everyone what a Smart Boy you are instead of simply opening a dictionary.

holy, blessed

You ASSUMED that "Santo Matteo" must mean Saint Matthew, which in Italian is actually San Matteo and leaped at the opportunity to tell someone that they were wrong. But your assumption was false, as the nickname is simply playing off the apostle's name rather than utilizing it directly, and as it merely means Blessed Matteo.

I'm neither Italian nor Catholic, but I think calling a politician "San Matteo" would strike the average Italian as mildly blasphemous.

Blogger VD March 13, 2019 11:12 AM

Nice knowing you all, if I get disappeared over this.

Why would I ban you for this? Look at it as a learning opportunity. The most common mistake of the gamma is to assume that he understands someone else's intentions, objectives, and motivations.

It's like the gammas who inevitably inform me that the blog is spelled wrong and it should be VOX POPULI instead of VOX POPOLI, or insist that PSYKOSONIK should have been spelled PSYCHOSONIC. Or that Gamma should precede Delta.

Are you noticing a pattern here? I habitually ignore the rules that gammas blithely accept.

What are the units for the 15.843, 5.566, and 335?

Blogger Viisaus March 13, 2019 11:22 AM

8 # Azimus:

That number for 2017 is about the number of migrants who landed during the time frame between 1 January 2017-11 March 2017.

Blogger Viisaus March 13, 2019 11:23 AM

The great migrant-storm in the summer of 2017 finally broke the camel's back, and the Socialist government began to take some serious measures, which Salvini then improved even further.

Blogger Daniel March 13, 2019 11:34 AM

If the choice is between San Matteo and Santo Breivik, I believe everyone involved would prefer trying the former first. Except, apparently, Norway.

Blogger Francis Parker Yockey March 13, 2019 11:37 AM

What are the units for the 15.843, 5.566, and 335?

From the caption, looks like number of migrants arriving (numero del migranti) from Jan 1 - Mar 11 each year. Anyone who actually knows Italian -- feel free to correct.

The European convention for the use of commas and periods in numbers is the opposite of the British/ American one, of course -- they use commas as decimal points, and periods to break up large numbers.

Blogger Roman Daoist March 13, 2019 12:00 PM

My favourite bit about the graph is its lack of subtlety. Not a lot of room to interpret away that trend. Italy, Polska, Hungary. There's hope.

Reading "God's Battalions, The Case for the Crusades", by Rodney Stark. It starts with Europe and it's dealings with muslim colonialism. Point is: driving out the muslims involved less tolerance and 'dialogue', and more heavy infantry. Then as today, they just gotta go.

It's funny but 15 years ago I was a S.N.A.G. and proud of it. Now I'm racist as fuck.

Sorry, it's 2am here. I've got more.

I've got a daughter in late primary school. I've been gently suggesting an intolerance towards certain cultures. The first time she heard me share my not complete universal adoration she was shocked but _very quickly_ she has taken on a certain hesitation towards the mantra of the global village. People need to start telling their kids again that "This is Ours. They can Fuck Off. And if their country is shit then, if anything at all, we _could_ go there and fix it for them, reforming it in our image, to our liking. Otherwise, not our concern."

Unfortunately, in the US we have to follow the law and the D's made it through their corrupt lawsuit/judge/agree to order situation so that we are stuck with letting in any family that shows up with children if they are non-Mexico. Trump has tried to play around with this, but through the 9th Ckt- it is stuck at catch and release. this is why there are so many showing up-- they have learned they can get in.

If anyone thinks that the D's are going to let the law get changed (it takes 60 votes in the senate) they are dreaming. Trump either pulls a Jackson and breaks the law or tries to get the law changed.

Blogger Rhys March 13, 2019 7:50 PM

Of course it'd be easy to stop immigration, but that's easy from our perspective. When most of your assets, wealth, and status as someone who hasn't been rightfully drawn and quartered, are dependent on the world-wide immigration scam, it's a lot "harder" to stop it and funding immigration becomes a matter of survival.

After being in Florence in the fall of 2017 and being repeatedly panhandled by Moolies blacker than anything I've seen in the U.S. and seeing their haughty sense of entitlement I'd say "You go, Italians. Give those fucking niggers the boot."

The allies went through Italy like shite through a goose, and believed it was due to their military prowess. Nope. We know how to get rid of unwanted guests. Decades later, and it's the so-called victorious powers who look like they've been invaded irreparably. WWII winner turns out to be Italy. That's right. We don't switch sides, we were always on our side. This should be a hearts of iron add-on.

I still await what beliefs will be fashionable when the last 38 years of compounded 7.2% growth in debt (just the topline part) can no longer be sustained. The entire world's economy is addicted to compounded debt growth far beyond the most Pollyanna-measures of actual (underlying) economic growth required to support it, informing us that this is NOT SUSTAINABLE.

It's only when what CAN'T go on finally stops that we discover what people really think. And I think they'll suddenly find they think differently than before.

Imagine what happens when it's not the EBT cards that don't work, it's the MASTERCARD that doesn't.

Yes. What Trump can do is limited under current law. Families cannot be interned together because you cannot have adults with kids in the same place. Judges have interferred with interning them apart. If the costs of the illegals were taken from judicial budgets things would change quick but that is not going to happen.
