I know John Hawkins means well, but his diagnostic ineptitude here is simply off the charts.
Exhibit 1: The first step to getting our culture to go back in the right direction is understanding why conservatives are losing the culture wars.
Exhibit 2: The “old school” values that made America successful were Judeo-Christian values that people were immersed in from their childhood on, usually in church.
When you can't identify the enemy, you cannot defeat the enemy. And when you cannot defeat the enemy, you are destined to lose. There are no "Judeo-Christian values". There are no "Islamo-Christian", "Hindu-Christian", or "Satano-Christian values".
Conservatives are losing the culture wars because they rejected the central role that Christianity and the posterity nation played in traditional American culture. So they permit non-American, non-Christian opinion leaders to lead them straight into cultural defeat, time and time again.

Saw the same odious phrase on a post at Ace’s blog. Some commenters pushed back against the Judeo-Christ but most just cucked right along.
The same battle goes on within the churches, between traditional and modern forms of worship/belief.
I'm coming around to the idea that the problem isn't so much conservatism as Boomers. The youngest boomers are approaching 60, they're not going to change their ways. The only way to overtake them in the next 20 years is to have way more children.
If people are desperate to keep the hyphen then I'd suggest Anglo-Christian values. At least it's accurate in the sense that American values were both Christian and Anglo-Saxon in nature and origin.

Yeah, they always lose. I first noticed this back in the 90's with Rush Limbaugh, back then he could do no wrong. I was a brand new Christian in Colorado and everyone in the local churches loved him. I remember the day that I realized he wasn't for real and he wasn't on the side of Christianity, the gay-marriage and gays in the military debate reared it's ugly head back then and his stand on it was weak, it was not a stand at all. He folded and succumbed. I knew then that he was a fake. All "conservatives" follow that formula, they always fold on a major moral issue. Unfortunately, Christians fall for it every time.
Judeo-Christian. I always heard that Americans were horribly Eurocentric and anti-Jewish. How then could we be Judeo-Christian in our culture?
Jews seem to be like a bad girlfriend (or maybe just a girlfriend in general). You know the type and the story. They latch onto you. And suddenly everything is "ours." Suddenly, what you are interested in is what "we" are interested in . . . and then before long what "we" are interested ends up meaning what she wants and what she is interested in, although she still uses the pronoun "we" when talking about it.
Conservatives seem to have the mission statement of conserving a nation they claim doesn’t exist.
Once the reality is apparent it’s undeniable. They act like the values and culture they attempt to conserve came from nothing and no one in particular, just magically rose up from the soil. No, English Christians made this nation and its values, and the domestic foreigners that now occupy it have as little care for that origin and future as you conservatives have for the origin and future of Libya and Syria.

The Jew-pandering isn't gonna last very long. Something changed recently. A lot of equalist centrists and right-wingers are taking crimson-red pills on white identity and Jews. Even Joe Rogan recently suffered massive backlash for his Jew-pandering Bari Weiss interview. The comments section was filled from top-to-bottom with Jew-savvy people with basically nobody disagreeing. This audience was until a few months ago as centrist as it got. Now they look like /pol/. The new Alex Jones interview may have been damage control. Just like Peterson is trying to do damage control.
I guess the several approved opposition backstabbings from the Kavanaugh episode to the Covington Catholic kids one really woke some people up.
I wish you and Owen the best of luck with whatever you two are secretly working on. I'll be there to support it. There is suddenly a greater demand for uncucked and unapproved opposition. And it'll probably get more intense as the 2020 election aproaches.
PS The Muslim congresswoman episode shows the Jew-pandering is on its way out on the Left too.

I know of only one Rabbi that has close to Christian values (Daniel Lapin). Shumley Boteach at Breitbart celebrated Bruce Jenner's transitioning and getting some kind of hero or Israel award.
Prager and Shapiro won't even stop the bleeding, but they are what most people mean by Judaeo-Christians. It is the same problem is their morality isn't Christian, no more than "Free Trade, Open Borders, Gay Rights" is "Conservative".
The Churchians have excised the things Hawkins complains about to be more "inclusive". The original Christians weren't and their occasional tendencies led to harsh rebukes like Rev 2-3 and St. Paul's and James' epistles.
But they couldn't have removed the moral foundation without having first removed the founder, Jesus Christ himself. Whether it be plastic Jesus, Judaeo-Christ, Nice Christ, they are false Christs, false Gods, and false Gospels, all of which are demons and the doctrines thereof.
You should stand up to your girlfriends. Other than that, I take your point.

Was flipping through a children's book from the 80s (I think) today. Girl rabbit asking what "special day" it is with each page being about a different holiday (Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, 4th July, etc). The last page has some symbols for other holidays: May Pole, New Years Fireworks, and of course... a Menorah.
Here is a simple test. Ask about:
Abortion.
LGBTQ. (or any out of wedlock sex)
Divorce. (or kids without dads)
These are not theological, but manage to sort things out. Even Milo recognizes what the Church teaches.
I would have added things like "Motherhood" which should mean a stay at home Mom that hasn't wasted herself on a career, but this can go into the weeds.
Humility. Jesus knows we WILL fall, but can repent. Everything else is pretending there is nothing wrong, at least nothing really sinful.
Also note the three items concern sex - and the one that gets complicated is the simplest.

Big tent means watering down the platform to appeal to people who would never vote that way in terms of gay marriage, gay sex ed in school, immigration, reaching out to hindus and muslims, working for open border types like Koch Industries and Halliburton, increased subsidized payments for whammen.
2. Compassionate conservativism means eschewing white self interest for white pathological altruism. Bring in more losers!
3. Purges. Elsewhere we talked about how cons purge people. We have the same problem here. A young MP in my province was ousted from his party because he claimed his in-town apartment on his expenses. He was actually ousted because he wanted a millennial-focused platform centered around increasing births and reducing immigration.

A conservative is someone who has more to lose than the average leftist. This makes conservatives fundamentally defensive in mindset, which causes conservatives to concede the initiative to the left time after time.

I was reading Edgar Lee Master's biography of Lincoln recently, and Lincoln altered the entire meaning of the Founding firstly by pretending the Union was formed with the proclamation of Independence (or perhaps before), and also by distorting "all men are created equal" out of recognition. This despite the fact that Jefferson was his political enemy.
Not entirely sure what Master's politics were, but this book has a Copperhead perspective, and leans heavily against New England and Chicago for stoking war flames with irresponsible "propositions" about slavery, union, and so forth. He characterizes their outlook as Hebraic-Puritanism, which is amore interesting hyphenation than Judeo-Christian.
There was something of the "Hebraic-Puritan" spirit in America from the beginning. But Lincoln definitely destroyed the Republic by perverting the Founding. And he was supposed to have been conservative. Or at least changeable and weakly principled. Which is about the same.

I've heard that too, but I don't know that I want to research that. Esoteric research tends to upset me greatly. With that said, in the mythology of ~my people~ our patron god was known for sexual deviance to gain magic skills. Odin. He was a cross dresser. I suppose I'm trying to say by way of example that sodomy was related with magic in at least one place and time. I don't doubt that this idea had legs either. Odin was a traveller.

Well, some are, some aren't. Don't you think it's odd how the NeverTrump contingent of conservatism is something like 90% Jewish? Jonah Goldberg, Max Boot, Bret Stephens, Bill Kristol, Jennifer Rubin, Jon Podheretz, and so on? Why do you think that is? Why is that particular group of conservatives so intransigently against Trump despite him turning out to be quite a bit more conservative in practice than Bush, who the same neocons adored? In fact, it seems like the more Trump makes real, conservative progress, the MORE they hate him and abandon everything they once claimed to support.
Obviously, there are exceptions (eg Mark Levin, though he was against Trump initialize, and Mike Savage, etc), but there is clearly some reason those guys hate Trump that is tied to their Jewishness.
Let me take a stab at it: Trump represents a resurgence of nationalism and national self-determination and a cooling attitude to mass immigration of foreign cultures. And as they perceive themselves as an "outsider" group that's not within the mainstream culture of the nation, they automatically balk at a reawakening of national spirit as a loss of power and threat to their own group interests. They're engaging in the exact same ethnic-based identity-politic voting that black people, latinos, etc do, even as they claim to oppose "tribalism."

I like the use of the phrase, it lets me know who takes the words of Jesus seriously when He warned us against the teachings of the Pharisees. The traditions that make the word of God of no effect. "No big deal" speaks volumes.
Christ is a body. Jesus, the Head of that body is a High Priest after the order of Melchezidek who Abraham tithed to after the slaughter of the Kings.

In actual practice "Judaeo-Christian values" means Jewish values, like divorce, abortion transgenderism, homosexuality, lying, cheating, nepotism, and hatred of Christ.

Conservatives lose for the same reason the Left will ultimately lose also...because of their own internal contradictions. They both slobber and talk out both sides of their mouth. They both insist on facts that simply are not true. They both insist on values that conflict with their other values. They both have goals that are impossible to achieve in the real world. They both turn a blind eye to those contradictions when their nose is rubbed in it publicly. That is why they will both fail in the end, no matter who their friends might be. No matter what flag they wrap themselves in and no matter how they dress themselves. They are both a dying breed.
