Is it an invasion now?

People supporting immigration and the decline of the West have long argued that no amount of movement of peoples can be considered an invasion because armed and uniformed troops are not involved. Somehow, I doubt this aggressive action by Mexican troops inside the US borders will cause them to admit that the USA has been successfully invaded and occupied:
On April 13, at around 2 p.m. Central Time, a group of five or six suspected Mexican soldiers approached an unmarked vehicle of two U.S. soldiers stationed at the border in El Paso County, Texas, and ordered them out of the vehicle. According to Newsweek, which obtained the “serious incident report,” the soldiers were in fact active duty members of B Battery, 1st Battalion, 37th Field Artillery Regiment, not from a National Guard unit. The Mexican soldiers disarmed one of the U.S. soldiers and placed his sideaerm in the U.S. vehicle.

While the soldiers were parked south of the border fence near Clint, Texas, they were north of the Rio Grande riverbed, which placed them “appropriately in U.S. territory,” according to Maj. Mark Lazane, a spokesman for NORTHCOM. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the Department of Defense (DOD), after inquiring of the Mexican government, were informed that the Mexican soldiers thought that the Americans were south of the border. “Throughout the incident, the U.S. soldiers followed all established procedures and protocols,” according to NORTHCOM.
It's not exactly a major casus belli, but it is certainly indicative of the fact that the US military is either totally unwilling or totally unable to defend the US citizenry, the American people, or the borders of the USA.

My preferred protocol: A-10 & M-109.
It sure is looking like the military, and indeed most of the government, is unwilling to enforce Article 4, Section 4.

Aesop over at Raconteur Report had something to say about this:

http://raconteurreport.blogspot.com/2019/04/this-is-going-to-end-well.html

Mexican military incursions over the border are not new, they have been going on for decades.

The military people we have on the border are support only, and are just supposed to observe and report to BP. That is likely what the "followed all established procedures and protocols" means. The border crisis is considered a law enforcement issue, and until that policy changes any military support on the border will be support only.

There's a great deal missing from this story. Two soldiers in an unmarked car? Were they in an official capacity? Were they in uniform? Was it a personal sidearm or a duty weapon? In general duty weapons should only ride in a duty vehicle.

Additionally, 1-37 FAR is part of 1st Stryker BCT, 2ID out of Ft. Lewis in Washington. However, nearby Fort Bliss is a huge maneuver and training space. Are the soldiers in question there for training and merely caught up hanging out by the river (more like a sodden patch of ground that far west in TX) smoking a cig?

After calling the 'appropriate authorities' to hand them over, Militia are regularly arrested for detaining illegals. The illegals are then processed into the country.

Americans do not understand how much hatred of America is part of Mexican identity. I had the misfortune of living in DF for six years and it is baked into the cake - "Mexico lindo y querido, tan lejos de Dios, tan cerca a los estado unidos." Like Canada, anti-Americanism is used by the ((ruling class)) to control the pleds. The neighborhood I live in, Polanco, is often referred to as Polanski by the natives for obvious reasons.

Blogger Karhu April 23, 2019 12:08 PM

As @7 Noah B. says, from everything we've heard starting with their arming orders, there's virtually no chance the soldiers had an option to shoot back. Maybe they had some ammo, but we can be almost certain their guns were not loaded with it.

US military on the boarder are almost entirely for show, they reduce the ability of our paramilitaries like the Boarder Patrol to guard the boarder because a number of them have to be detailed to provide armed protection for the soldiers.

Blogger Gen. Kong April 23, 2019 12:09 PM

Is it an invasion now?

No it's just another 'accident'. (((Fake news))) will not report at all. As noted above, the Mexican military (many likely cartel owned) have been crossing the border since at least the Clinton era with some regularity - probably even before. I had family in AZ in the Bush era who told of Mexican military occupying high spots 100 miles inside the border to make sure the drug and slave routes were secured.

An interesting question would be Who is the de-facto commander in chief? Soros? Podesta? Kushner? Kristol? Schumer? Netanyahu? Carlos Slim? Note the FBI (criminals operating under color of law every one) have already arrested the volunteer militia who was detaining invaders for BP along the New Mexico border. Trump obviously is not actual CIC. He cannot even order troops out of Syria or Afghanistan. Their orders have to come from somewhere, and it likely hasn't been from the WH in a long time.

Right. The incompleteness of this story is palpable.

Only one soldier armed? Were the others armed? And if so, were their weapons taken away?

I'm all for symbolism, and getting our dander up when appropriate, but this whole thing is too vague and, above all, too limited to get all worked up about. Trigger happiness may be all peachy behind a computer and an internet connection, but let's get real here.

Nothing to see here. Mexico isn't, after all, the murder capital of the world. We know that only Good Mexicans (and Good Central Americans, Aztecs all) come to the USA.

If I were a legal immigrant from Latin America or Cuba and I had the ability to think about what will eventually follow all this, I'd volunteer to police the border myself. When the time comes that the uniform we wear is our skin, and discrimination between the King Snakes and the Coral Snakes takes too long, a lot of King Snakes are going to be cleaned out.

Nate is totally correct. Whether they were Pancho Villa cartel mercs or Mexican military, no REGULAR ARMY soldier EVER has a friggin protocol to surrender to an invading force from any fuckin where! Every one of them took an oath to resist as long as they have the means to do so, no matter the odds. I'm no economist, but from what I understand, this is a very rosy prediction.
It can get a bit confusing, but I am pretty sure the trust fund doesn't actually have anything in it. As far as I know, it is loaded with bonds that were "sold" to the Treasury and that when the bonds mature, the Treasury is supposed to pay the money to Social Security. But they haven't stuck the money in a piggy bank. The Treasury will have to borrow the money from the bond market to pay back the trust fund. Almost as if the trust fund is just an accounting gimmick and that the government is going to run out of money a lot faster than advertised.

Yes; they do want a civil war — but they want it on their terms, they want to use it to kill off the native population and cement in the imported people as the new people of the US. This is why they're pushing the disarmament laws (eg red-flag) and coming down hard on anyone who dares to oppose via force the invasion.

30 years ago a firearm safety instructor sat at a bar and told me about touring the upper Midwest. He was doing training with small sheriff departments. Each of them had a story about a small plane landing in a field. Heavily armed South Americans would get out. The law, or just the rancher, would go up to the people, doing whatever they do- hoisting bales of drugs out of the plane- to demand identification, to demand that they stop their crimes. The South Americans would stop what they were doing, pull out guns and then inform the unfortunate that they were going to finish. That they were going to come back. They would say the choice was go along and get paid- they'd throw a brick of money at the American- or don't- and get shot- and they'd shoot something nearby.

It was a very uniform story, county by county, state by state.

That was 30 years ago.

My guess is that we have a great deal of military men scattered around the planet sorting out everyone else's governing problems, and we really can't do anything that would bring on a Western Hemisphere bloodbath, just yet. The Wall is more than a campaign slogan. It's a first step in preventing a war.

Plane captains keep really good maps. Not all of their maps are commercial, not all the information is published in the public square. I'd think 30+ years of poking through our air defenses and police departments, the South Americans would have a really good idea where to land troops behind our borders.

The news reports keep talking about MENA political families/ import-export families (clans) taking over Middle and South American drug cartels. The US Army has been training MENA troops for decades. This would be a big, bloody mess.

It's been 105 years since a President did the right thing when faced with Mexican insolence towards American troops. And it was racist globo-progressive Woodrow Wilson of all people, too.

From IG, the MSM-unmentioned yet very relevant 1914 Tampico Affair:

"The Tampico Affair was set off when nine American sailors were arrested by the Mexican government for entering off-limit areas in Tampico, Tamaulipas. The unarmed sailors were arrested when they entered a fuel loading station.

"The sailors were released, but the U.S. naval commander demanded an apology and a 21-gun salute. The apology was provided, but not the salute. In the end, the response from U.S. President Woodrow Wilson ordered the U.S. Navy to prepare for the occupation of the port of Veracruz [on 21 April 1914]...

"On April 30, the U.S. Army's 5th Reinforced Brigade under Brigadier General Frederick Funston arrived and took over the occupation of the city. While many of the Marines remained, the naval units returned to their ships. While some in the United States called for a full invasion of Mexico, President Wilson limited American involvement to the occupation of Veracruz."

You're assuming that by the time any war breaks out with Mexico that there will be a functioning United States of America, with an effective federal government, as we now know it. I wouldn't count on that.

Blogger Ariadne Umbrella April 24, 2019 12:22 AM

#67. I'm not assuming a functioning federal government. I am assuming functional state governments, but I'm also really seeing ultra-violent cartels who don't respect boundaries of any sort. I don't see person to person fighting, like during the Trump campaign, Antifa versus Plywood Knights.

When Katrina happened, the media went down and took all sorts of dramatic pictures. They didn't do things that the regular people did- cover corpses with tarps to show respect, rescue people with regular boats. The reporter who strolled into a fully stocked, air-conditioned, completely empty of employees Whole Foods didn't bother telling the people in the stadium that if they'd walk three blocks thataway, they'd have food. He just mused about how sad it was that poor black people didn't know where to find the tofu store. So I don't believe any media guide about disasters, at all, ever. Regular people fed each other, one way or another.

The dramatic, front page photo of an armed policeman pointing a rifle at a black man in a car? The black man was not innocent. The policeman has family in town for, not just three generations like an Ellis Island emotional hijacker. That policeman's' family has been in Louisiana from before it was even part of the USA, before it was a state. He still lives there. He is an honorable man and good cop. He has family- not just parents, but brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews. Probably his own children. He was keeping order for his territory.

Texas children make dioramas about killing Indians during the war for Texas Independence. All the children in the state pledge to the Texas flag in Spanish and English. I don't think the native Hispanic children want anything to do with the cartels.

When most insurrections happen, the first place taken is the local television and the local radio. I don't see any media person surviving to report on anything. After that, it's tech (drones) vs hopped up sup-100 IQ little brown people with access to money, guns, at least one submarine, and, apparently, very nice MENA arms. It will be a pointless bloodbath.

This is not to minimize the horror of child molestation. But the Boy Scouts have over 2M members, current. These files go back to 1940; that's nearly 80 years.

I don't have data for historical membership but as a first approximation assuming linear growth and a 6-year average stint in the Scouts, there have been about 16 million Scouts since then; given 12,000 accusations, assuming none of then were false, that is something on the order of 1 in 1200 Scouts getting molested by leaders. Assume half of them go unreported so it's 1 in 600.

I'm not going to pretend that is good, but how does it compare to the background rate of such crimes?

@62- Yes, there is an American civilization. It is a subset of Western Civilization. That is such a broad category that it includes civilizations no longer living. American civilization is one of many local varieties the ways of life common to the West. It is practiced in territory governed by the U.S., as well as anywhere Americans have gathered and lived out their culture around the world.

I can't define it exactly. It would require libraries to detail.

Invasion: NOUN

1. An instance of invading a country or region with an armed force.

1.1 An incursion by a large number of people or things into a place or sphere of activity.

1.2 An unwelcome intrusion into another's domain.

I am surprised the Tampico Affair of 1914 was not put into the context of the Mexican Revolution and Civil War of 1910-1920. Two and a half million Mexicans died in that conflict by conservative estimate, almost half of them civilians, and it forced profound changes in the Mexican nation and government.

Why were American troops landed and occupied the port of Veracruz?...to prevent the Germans from landing shipments of illegal arms to Huerta. The US had imposed an arms embargo on the Huerta government, which fell a few months later. It was a failed mission, since the German weapons were off-loaded in another Mexican port instead, and the Americans withdrew. Tampico? That was the oil-rich area of Mexico and the Navy was there to protect American civilians and investment. American citizens were later evacuated from both coasts of Mexico due to anti-American resentment.

I would say that the Mexicans and the Chinese are two peoples who have paid so much in blood and tears for decent government and still do not have it.

You must've forgotten... the U.S. NAVY already did SET that "protocol! Letting (Iran? Iraq? Ir-eff-em-all?) stop and hold a small boat with 8-10 sailors for "trespass"? And the Navy guys were sorta on a directed mission. Even if that 'mission' SEEMED to be "go boat here and get captured..."

It's not pointless if it drives them all south; or kills them off. Their choice! We ALSO have access to fake and borrowed money, guns until they're confiscated, many submarines with sailors who aren't quite sure how to run every piece of gear, and some nice privately owned arms. It COULD be a VERY pointed bloodbath. I'm hoping!

It's not ABOUT the boys; it's about the metaphorical clove of garlic and the White Oak stake our enemies are placing the mouth and heart of the White European young-man training cadre to make sure they've killed it and it STAYS dead! The Boy Scouts were OURS -- and our enemies killed it -- and we stood by and watched.

@68 “All the children in the state pledge to the Texas flag in Spanish and English. I don't think the native Hispanic children want anything to do with the cartels.”

Think Texas history, Santa Anna (language preferences as an issue), Texas and Blue cities, former HUD head Texas mayors. “In Spanish.”

They don’t have to want cartels, they simply have to not embrace/uphold Western Civilization. And Western hemisphere Spanish is not Western Civilization, it is the antithesis, it is not a language existing in a vacuum.

Think Boomers dying off and ethnic birth trends. If Trump does not get off his butt on this border thing, start being President on that, Texas is solidly gone by 2033, solidly. Granted, Trump is not the only person involved, but he is the only one of them that is in fact President, Chief Executive, Commander in Chief.

If you’re looking for Texas to save your ass, you’re shit out of luck real soon.

#78 I don't think I said anything about Texas saving the USA. I think I said a great deal about states being able to govern themselves and make easy enough trade agreements among themselves while supra-national corporations continue to function in their capacities and not pay taxes, which is already what happens.

I think I said a great deal about local devolution, and what might happen in that case: a sort of feudalism among white military-trained men, a mass blood-shed, with either a genocide or a trail of tears event for blacks, and a free-for-all against other invaders. I said it would be easier than an ideological European war, because the Spanish, Somali and whatever else speakers don't have to hold particular ideas- they just have to not speak English like a native. If they do speak like a native, they are probably one of ours.

I don't think the free-for-all is going to be the helpless flailing that the media wants, and the media got during the Trump campaign. I think there are military strategists who already think about civil unrest, which is why everyone is working to not have civil unrest. Wars are expensive. We already have enough articles about predatory bankers funding all sides and then picking the bones of what's left. Who wants to be post-war Yugoslavia? There's a thriving trade in Slovenian child hookers. It's considered an easy holiday to take the train into Slovenia, get off at the train station, select an underage child of either sex to slake your perverted appetites, for pocket change!, and then go home. The UN writes reports about this.

Blogger Ariadne Umbrella April 24, 2019 2:02 PM

There's sort of a fusion of Anglo-German- Spanish culture in Texas. It's not completely harmonious, but it's stuff like Buddy Holly and Matthew McConaughey marring Hispanic girls. It's about like the Romans left in Gaulish territory: one part became France, another part became Galatia which ended up being ??Armenia? someplace not European, but still Roman flavored.

The kids already sit in classes. Because NCLB requires that each school have a certain percent of success, or else, the gifted student teachers end up with a class half-gifted, half ESL/ slow learners. They don't put the gifted kids in with the normal, regular kids. It's supposed to help the class stay 51% passing. What it does is expose the smartest kids to the congenitally dumbest kids from Central America. They manage to be both illiterate, innumerate and feral. The reaction isn't fellow compassionate feelings. The reaction is "tell me more about racist fascism." This is on both sides. Resentment is a spur. Contempt is a spur.

We lived in a low SES neighborhood, fully integrated. People with mixed families worked very hard to move into our neighborhood because that's who lived in our neighborhood: Korean+white, White+ black, White+ Korean, White+ Laotian, Hispanic+ White. Hispanic+ Hispanics did not integrate. They also had this habit of trying to show how upscale their family was back in the old country. No one is more arrogant than a relative of the Sandinista Junta. They shit their own nest, and now they want to run ours. Their children tend to be ass-hats. You don't think regular American kids want them around in any capacity? I am using foul language deliberately. These are awful people.

Or, say, the Sandinista relative who has the patronage job in the public school, but who sends her own children to private school: she watched the out of control drunk principal abuse vulnerable, poor, black and white children. Not one inch of protective feeling towards American children. A local Hispanic teacher reported it to the school authorities, and got fired. A white, male teacher, a middle-aged man, figured out that he had to report to the police, the media and the school district in that order, on the same day, to survive the principal trying to bury her crimes. Who do you think I'd fight in a foxhole with? The teachers- but I know I'd survive with the white guy, and go down in flames with the less strategic thinking Hispanic. An honorable death, but I'd rather live.

@79 You’re right, you didn’t say that. I have the habit upon occasion not to distinguish, and my apologies for that. The last sentence was intended as more of a broad statement, with a rhetorical “you,” but I didn’t state that anywhere near properly. You did say a great deal about the rest, and that I did not touch on and do not feel compelled to. But again, my apologies, I should have made clear the last was not to you Ariadne Umbrella. Motivated a bit by the comment of what Hispanic children want, but I did not read you to imply Texas would save the USA (or save anyone else) and did not intend it to imply you did.

#82, oh, xevious, you are right about the cities, and the plans to flip Texas.

I see cars driving around with "Flip Texas" bumperstickers. To me, it is one of the wickedest power-grabs I've ever seen attempted. Half the jobs in the USA since 2000 have been created in Texas. Almost all of the fracking and LNG innovation is from Texas: that is, the oil production that isn't beholden to Islamic extremists. The Dems here have always been openly crooked demagogues.

To flip Texas would end the noble experiment of the USA. To preserve Texas in that case really does pretty much look like oceans of blood. I pray every day for wisdom for Trump, for strength and peace with our military, for success with all operations to free the world.

Blogger xevious2030 April 24, 2019 4:35 PM

@82 (AU) I haven’t seen many of the Flip Texas bumper stickers, a few to be sure though, but a lot of Beto stickers. Taking 2016 Texas votes, and moving 410k (no hanky-panky) from the red to the blue, would flip it in 2024. Looking at Beto and Cruze, 2020 could still show a Senator Beto, a junior Senator to run for President in 2024 if he is handled by smart people.

@80 (AU) Not to mention how the parents are always bugging their highschooler “hija/hijo, when are you going to give me a grandbaby?” Or kick the boy out when he is legally old enough for them to. Yep, the best teachers to teach the freshmen, high dropout rate later, so they can pass the big test (I always forget which one), near the beginning of high school rather than as seniors. Charter Schools are being favored by the blue city leaders to phase out the public schools (from bad to worse, in terms of political indoctrination/flexibility).

General commentary:
Hispanics, children or otherwise, at least those I’ve encountered growing up among various varieties, are a diverse group. They have a tendency to want to live in their Hispanic culture (whatever variety), and live the (consumer) lifestyle of the Western first world. But they do not tend to recognize how the former dimutes the latter. And what they embrace tends to not be the foundations of Western Civilization. Without this embrace, what they want or not, the result is the slide into the second and third world over generations. But then, that bring back to the point of two different nations and the lunacy of civ-nat or the “idea” of being American.

In case some might think mine pescimism, Texas was born out of the battle of the Alamo, and our battle cry is,"Remember the Alamo!!!"

Blogger DonReynolds April 24, 2019 7:50 PM

There have been a lot of words tossed around in the past few years but the word that never gets mentioned is "rampage". We have had such things in the past. The most recent was back in the 1920s when a Mexican-American raped and murdered a white woman in Texas and the entire southwest was lit afire. Over 100,000 Mexican-Americans turned themselves in to the Federal government for protection. I have no idea how many were simply relocated elsewhere and how many were deported back to Mexico. But depending on the dimensions of the spark that sets off the expected "troubles" ...which is to say...if there is a racial dimension to the conflict, we could see another "rampage". The Federal government could not act fast enough to stop it before it was completely over. A week or two later and it would be all over but the shouting.

Blogger Rickaby007 April 25, 2019 1:19 PM

They're basically using their own niche definition of invasion to classify the invasion as a non-invasion. To reclarify my knowledge attained from reading Dr Crevald, I ran a Google search for the definition of military invasion. Sure enough, immigration to the west has been and is without any ambiguity an invasion. It's clear: the left's rhetoric about immigration has always been an obfuscation of the facts. And that's because they want you dead and your children raped and they think it's funny. DOTR when?

Blogger Ariadne Umbrella April 25, 2019 3:45 PM

A rampage runs its course, and then everything goes back to the status quo, except shabbier and more ashamed.

25% of Houston's population was discovered to be illegal immigrants who didn't even speak Spanish. They've officially been under the jackboots of bloodthirsty Spanish conquistadors since the 1400s, but here they are speaking Quechua and who knows what else. Mostly what else. They couldn't find translators who knew both the native language and Spanish.

Now take something like the Los Angeles basin, which has a race riot every twenty years or so. They missed one riot because of a religious revival, but other than that, every twenty years or so the swarthier residents of all persuasions decide to have it out. Policemen get killed, truckdrivers get killed. Landlords and major businessmen and the mayor do not get killed.

A group of people built Beirut into something beautiful: mostly Europeans and their descendants. Then other clanned up, far less peaceful people, bombed it to smithereens, despite it being a cosmopolitan manufacturing city. The MENA clans with tastes for violence seem to by insinuating themselves into South America: same taste for violence, but more stupidity. These are the hordes moving into North America.

The older, more Northeastern people seem to be looking at Texas like we're going to solve their problems: that's being very generous with my children's (specifically, my sons) lives. I've quit friendships with people who chose to register as conscientious objectors because they think their piddling little hedonistic lives are more important than my children's lives. My children are the ones that would be fighting. My friends in high school are the ones that still have PTSD from their military service. My family members are all military. If this ends in blood, and my kids survive, I definitely expect a warlord situation where it's very, very clear that the men who serve are the men who run everything.

Would you let a woman vote after that war? We have the data that says they open the gates to invaders. Would you let a black man into your city? We've got Detroit, Baltimore, Atlanta, Washington DC saying that's worse than bombing a place. Would you have an auto-da-fe for the older women who lay down with immigrants? It might discourage the others from betraying the young and fertile by letting the future mothers get raped. There's decent chances that all the choices that send shivers of fear down inverted clerks of the universities were very logical choices back in the day.
