Barcelona Life, Episode 5

The fifth episode of Barcelona Life is now available on UnauthorizedTV. Farley and Elizabeth go in search of a Michelin-starred restaurant in an extremely unlikely location. Disclaimer: several bottles of wine were harmed in the making of this program.

Free to the public, very generous. I look forward to watching it, great job!

I like that these are the perfect length for bathroom viewing. This show replaced my bathroom reader, when available. Excellent stuff.

Harming the wine is alchohol abuse.

OMG Vox! You're such a fat and out of shape sloth of a man. Reeeeeeeeeee!

Oh yeah... and old.

So you want me to watch someone else eat good food that I can't have, on my lunch break?

You'll sux

Bonus material: The SDL literally darkens the door of a church.

Conan! What is best in life?

To crush your grapes, see them bottled before you, and to taste the fermentation of the vino.

Blogger Silent Draco May 10, 2019 2:35 PM

Daniel, was that the door of Santa Torquemadade de Inquisicion?

Blogger pdwalker May 10, 2019 2:54 PM

(o.t.) Does anyone know who the imaginary blonde is next to VD?

Blogger Azimus May 10, 2019 3:20 PM

Does the thumbs up mean something different in Catalonia?

Blogger LP916 May 10, 2019 3:26 PM

How awesome!

Everyone looks beautiful and happy!

Keep up the great work!

What was the food or dinner like, what was served?

Dude, that is Spacebunny, Mrs. Day, looking fabulous as usual.

Blogger Matt May 10, 2019 4:11 PM

Vox, it appears as though you might be drinking more beer than wine lately

Ms. Spacebunny looks ravishing as usual

Blogger Stg58/Animal Mother May 10, 2019 4:34 PM

Won't someone think of the wine?

Blogger Sweetbeak Greatest Fan May 10, 2019 4:52 PM

I'm dumber the day after drinking. Are social drinkers/thinkers mitigating somehow? Or do they just have extra brain to spare.

Blogger Unknown May 10, 2019 6:26 PM

I see 5 Joe Rogans in a lineup, with 5 friends out in Barcelona! How do you run into so many Rogans?

Blogger Avalanche May 10, 2019 6:37 PM

Ooooooh, I just watched it. What an absolute delight! I'm sitting here with tears rolling down my face. Don't any of you with husband or wife be CARELESS enough to not seize every single moment you have with your beloved! We didn't tour Barcelona; but we had scheduled for September (2011) a cruise starting in Barcelona and ending in Fort Lauderdale, which included much planned touring in Spain and Italy: did you know there’s a MAMMOTH Museum in Barcelona?! With a real-mammoth-hide full-sized mock up you can touch?

Then Michael died in July.

Our earlier cruises with tours of many amazing places -- were much like Barcelona Life episodes: great friends, great sights, great food. Great memories to hold close.

I hold Suze Orman in great contempt for advice she gave some woman a decade ago. The woman had inherited $10k from a relative. She wanted to put half away for retirement, and spend half on a cruise with her husband. Stupid-Orman snarled that this woman was to put it ALL into retirement, and wait to cruise when they retired. Worst advice ever given!

Had Michael and I lived by that plan, I would not have 17+ cruises with him to remember. He died at 60. I would have only memories of him working so hard all year, and NONE of him having a joyous time for the one or two weeks a year we took a break to see the European world.

I mean it: DON'T WASTE TIME!!

Wow. The food looked incredible. I noticed the ladies were only drinking the white wines. A shame... the reds are where it's at. I've had some fine meals in France. This looked even better than that. Belgian Chocolate... mmmmmmm.

They have to invite him in first so he can enter.

Stickwick, great saying, but I'm not getting a grape crusher; capital expense. Kit or pre-smashed juice is easy to get. I will finish and bottle a batch of Sauv Blanc for a good friend, after a couple more weeks of polishing. This lets the fines drop without filtration.

The other part of enjoying life is making things to delight your friends, and sharing the same.

Sauv Blanc is excellent with unsealed skull goblets, because it won't leave a permanent purple-green stain.

"The reds are where it's at..."

Yep, especially Cabernet Sauvignon.

"Vox, it appears as though you might be drinking more beer than wine lately..."

Shhh, don't tell anyone but cheap beer is good too.

Vox when are you going to license out these shows to PBS?

Blogger Contrarian And Free May 11, 2019 9:00 AM

"The word for vegetables in Swedish... is literally "green things."

Hilarious remark.

Blogger Harambe May 11, 2019 9:09 AM

Spacebunny is looking really good for a sock puppet.

Blogger LP916 May 11, 2019 9:55 PM

10 thumbs up meant its a wonderful happy time.

Something Americans don't know of, all Americans know is stress, work, sleep and more stress.

Finally got to #5. May be the best one yet. Our principals, plus Vox and SB. That restaurant was really nice looking and the food! Yes! Maybe I can win the lottery some day and try out places like that. Well Done!
