The answer to post-Christian globalism

And to the Culture of Death is Christian nationalism:
While European nations languish with rapidly declining birthrates, Hungary stands out with rising marriage rates, falling abortions, and its highest birthrate in 20 years, Breitbart reports. Marriage is up by 43 percent since 2010, while divorce has dropped by 22.5 percent in the same period. This demographic turnaround has not been an accident, but the fruit of deliberate programs to promote marriage and the family while defending Hungary’s cultural identity and Christian roots.

“After we won the election in 2010 with a two-thirds majority, we decided to build a family-friendly country and to strengthen families raising children”, said Hungary’s Minister for the Family, Catalan Novak.

Standing firm in its position despite fierce opposition from the socialist left, the Orbán government enacted legislation resulting in “a comprehensive family-support system, a family-friendly tax system, a housing program, 800,000 new jobs, and many opportunities to create a balance between life and work”, Ms. Novak stated.

“We are living in times when fewer and fewer children are being born throughout Europe. People in the West are responding to this with immigration”, Prime Minister Orbán said at the State of the Nation address in Budapest in February.
Be fruitful and multiply or be replaced. Those are the choices. Choose wisely.

I guess too much of modern tech relies on infinitesimal precision to warrant this meaningful?

I guess measuring a tabernacle by a forearm and my house plan by a king's foot doesn't require so much precision that I couldn't build both functionally with my own forearm or foot.

Is modern technology really this sensitive?

I understand that argument that the reference block of platinum and iridium is subject to wear and tear, but what about the Kibble balance? Isn't the machinery that measures against the fundamental constant subject to wear and tear and measurement error?

Also, the kilogram was always defined as a fundamental constant -- the mass of a liter of water. Infogalactic says "That was an inconvenient quantity to precisely replicate, so in 1799 a platinum artefact was fashioned to define the kilogram."

So the reference block is actually just a short-cut not the actual definition.

Meanwhile, the Kibble balance may be precise, but a Kibble scale is unobtainable for most, while the tools to obtain the mass of a liter of water to various levels of precision are readily obtainable, if "inconvenient."

How convenient is an esoteric piece of equipment available only to a handful of elite laboratories?

These creatures in opposition must be defeated at all costs.
How can those two contrasting positions not open the eyes of the peoples of Europe?

The problem in Australia with mass immivasion; aside from the obvious incompatibilities; is the huge burden on infrastructure and the concomitant need for expansion, viewed as economic growth. Family friendly policies towards natives would relieve pressure on infrastructure, increase wages and set up a more natural long term growth strategy.

Were I to get involved in local politics, perhaps Christian Nationalism is the platform I would push. Does anyone here think a local Republican party could be influenced in that way? I'm sure many of it's members are just as hungry (pun intended) as I am for similar bold effort.

Blogger JDC May 21, 2019 10:42 AM

I'm an LCMS member, and a year ago our Synod President, Matthew Harrison noted that part of the decline in the church is because Christian families are having less children. That triggered a number of people crying, "He's blaming women for the decline in the church," and "see how he hates women."

In response to the credulity he responded, "As I have repeatedly stated,” Harrison writes for that edition, “I doubt very much that any significant change in the childrearing habits of LCMS members will occur or greatly affect future numbers.

“That said,” he continues, “let me be clear that the Bible does say a lot about families and children, and it’s high time we open our Bibles and have a fresh look at it.”

Now the triggered are using his pro family statements against him in he bid to be re-elected as president this summer.

The bible is clear to be fruitful and multiply. Why do we think the devil is so hell-bent on euthanizing and preventing the births of infants?

Give a link.

Here is a link on generational ages; now do the math.

If you "it's the Boomers fault" children are going to blame the Boomers for shit they had no influence over, then you GenXers to GenZ have a lot to answer for; and you started voting at a much younger age than than did the early Boomers.

Blogger KG May 21, 2019 11:07 AM

Hungary is so racist and sexist, must be a living nightmare within their border wall. I almost feel bad for how weak they are bound to, considering diversity is our strength. But they did it to themselves.

Blogger dienw May 21, 2019 11:10 AM

Oh, more for you GenX through GenZ children:
Most recently, people aged 18 through 21 played a huge role in electing the current administration. Statistically, they are more likely to vote Democratic than Republican, as well as more progressive in general.

Blogger JDC May 21, 2019 11:13 AM

In the LCMS it begins with a group called Jesus First. In the early 2000's they were pushing the LCMS to be more like the ELCA - wanting female ordination, open communion among other things. They rebranded themselves a few years later into a group called Congregations Matter. Here is a nice article summarizing their activities:

Since this movement began in the early 90's, I think you will have a hard time blaming Gen Z (who weren't born), and Gen-X (my generation) who were still getting over the abuses of daycare, the divorce of our parents and constantly being told that we could count on no inheritance because it would be spent on summering in Florida and rejuvenation surgeries.

It used to be almost no one talked about demographics at all. Then everyone picked up on "demographics are destiny," but many chose to take the wrong lesson from that, seeing the low birthrates in Christian (or formerly Christian) nations and deciding that meant Christianity isn't a sustainable religion. Never mind the centuries during which Christian nations were fruitful enough not only to sustain themselves but to spread across the globe. Never mind that their birthrates didn't fall until they were only nominally Christian.

It turns out people respond to incentives. Just as Steve Sailer has been pointing out forever, people have more kids where it's more affordable to build a home and have a yard with a swingset.

Government subsidies are exactly the "incentives" offered to destroy the family. As Coulter points out, whenever you subsidize something, you get more of it. Single moms? Government Housing? Welfare applications? Abortion? It's been proven over and over again.

Rather than worrying about that tiny minority of alt-retards and neo-pagans, I think energy is much better spent trying to get American Christians to snap out of their hypnotic worship of Israel and Jews. I'm not sure exactly how to do it, but it definitely needs to be done.

Why do Boomers think it is impossible to make generalizations about them?

It is remarkably easy to make generalizations about them, since they have been yammering at the top of their lungs about their generation for as long as they have been alive.

I imagine our pro-family policies will happen state by state, if not county by county, almost in stealth mode. Alabama deciding to not kill babies, with magicians swooping in to declare "baby" a non-word- it's a fetus!- that special Latin magic word! that dehumanizes a human baby-- the one Texas hospital that won't certify illegal immigrant's births because they don't have legal documents- therefore, they aren't citizens and anchor babies- the Arizona law that insists the state follow federal procedure- bit by bit- it will be our safe house again.

Georgia is a better example than Hungary of how the church has actually sparked a massive uptick in births. The Georgian churches urged the faithful to up their birth rate, noting that they are surrounded by Muslim nations (apart from Armenia). And lo and behold, the birth rate spiked.

They are losing people due to migration to better economic climes, but the Georgian birthrate itself has shot upwards.

Compare that to Bulgaria, Greece, or even Armenia. Even Russia is putting in place measures to increase incentives to have larger families, including lower mortgage rates, outright cash, etc.

My wife is Russian so I head over there regularly, and I am always struck by how many children there are compared to my city in the USA. You continually see young women with baby carriages. Here, you'll never see a 26 year old white woman with a child. Russia is not out of the woods demographically, but at least it is trying to turn things around.

If poor Uzbeks can produce 4 kids per woman, poor Armenians, Georgians and Russians can do the same. There's no excuse.

That said, in times past there have been expressed desires to, in effect, kill all boomers and wish a pox on them all, which is not what you did. In each of the generations there will be a percentage of good and bad from this forum's perspective. Admittedly, when you look at famous boomers, there are very few who were not liberals or progressives and were instrumental in fostering the problems we see today and are still hard at work to remake this country in their idea of a progressive paradise. So, it is easy to throw out the whole bunch.

I just remember that the Tea Party was primarily supported and nurtured by boomers (I was involved), so we are not all bad and a large number of us have seen the light and do what we can to support Christ and the truth in our decaying culture.

Every Christian needs to remember what Jesus says to those who he divides at judgement in Matthew 25:35ff "...for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’

Two great examples of the dyscivic nature of christianity is vox and david the good placing their families over the society they grew up in because they rightly prioritize their families over nebulous political identities. Also the founding fathers were humanist and drank deeply at the well of the enlightenment, a more anti christain movement was never seen.

Stop it. Please. I can read bone-headed comments at Breitbart and elsewhere. I do not come to this site to read childish whining.

Grow up. And behave yourselves."

Jesus Christ.

A mod actually approved this stupidity.

Listen up ladies. The next time you approve a comment this stupid... you won't be a mod anymore.

Clear?

Andrew Anglin challenged Vox to a debate, and then spent all of it slinging mud and throwing insults. Rhetoric without truth.

Lip service to Christianity does not make them Christian allies.

S1AL,

Moderation is always on. But, the fight against boomers and gammas never ends.

I probably laughed too hard at that.

Try not to be such complete retards in the future S1AL and Zeroth, or you'll be permanently banned for being too stupid to comment here.

Is it really that hard to understand that your comments are read by everyone? Or that everyone includes the very people whose access we are intentionally limiting here?

Shut. The Fuck. Up.

Go away, Boomer. Your g-g-generation doesn't have long to live and everyone is waiting to dance on your grave....

@44

"Isn't Soros a Hungarian Jew? I wonder what kind of influence he has there"

You mean the country where he will be arrested at Passport Control the moment he attempts to enter, on an arrest warrant for Treason?

Made the mistake of thinking I was helping. Should have known better. Won't happen again.

"[Trump] handed all family policy off to Ivanka. Just the other day he was bragging that 60% of new jobs have gone to women."

President Trump was born in 1946. The brainwashing goes deep into the bone. Even in the GE.

My grandchildren, God willing will remain Christian, and as such will do everything they can with mercy and justice.

In other words, Refugees Welcome.

You only forgot "turn the other cheek," "love your enemy," and "resist not evil."

Want to know who keeps alive the alt-reich's jew-on-a-stick view? Look in the mirror. It's churchians like you.

Sink the damn ships.
