Never really bought into the whole conspiracy thing about Builderberg. It always seemed to me like a convention for rich people who want to gather - for once - without the media snooping and harassing.
If/when they are going to do something important, they won't do it in a semi-public avenue that generates attention.

One thing we learned from the cabal's various email/text leaks is that the people running things behind the scenes have been not very smart people. They're a mix of midwits and morons, some of whom have a certain tribal low cunning, who got where they are on nepotism and a willingness to compromise themselves in the quest for power. They have been steering a powerful machine that they could never have built and barely understand, yet they fancy themselves giants and secret agents. Most of them would be working a Human Resources desk if they hadn't been useful to someone.
That's not to say they aren't dangerous. An idiot with a case of dynamite is dangerous. But it puts the lie to the common narrative of, "They're always a step ahead of us because they're just so smart, so trying to beat them only plays into their hands." They gladly encourage that thinking.

If there were a top-secret meeting where the creme de la creme of the entertainment world - Lady Gaga, Leonardo Dicaprio, Tom Brady, as examples - were present, people would be trampled to death. But hardly anyone save for a few independent journalists and commentators bat an eyelash here.
