A true CON

Just in case you weren't convinced that Jonah Goldberg is also a fraud:
Will Chamberlain@willchamberlain
HOW DID I NOT HEAR ABOUT THIS STORY BEFORE

@JonahNRO REPEATEDLY CLAIMED TO HAVE BEEN NOMINATED FOR A PULITZER TWICE

ALL THAT HAPPENED WAS THAT HIS BOSSES PAID 50 BUCKS AND SUBMITTED AN ENTRY FORM

HAHAHAHAHAHA WHAT A CLOWN
It's true, as it turns out. From now on, I doubt I will never think of him again as anything but "Two-time Pulitzer nominee Jonah Goldberg". And speaking of the CON game:
David French@DavidAFrench
There’s something grossly entitled about claiming you should have government-mandated access to a social media platform you didn’t create, maintained by people you oppose, and that you should have that access for free.

Kurt Schlichter@KurtSchlichter
What have I told you?

Every single time, liberals and their collaborators will find a reason to justify silencing actual conservatives.

Always a reason.

Always some excuse.

Always another principle.

But the end result is always that you will be silenced.

Always.
But at least they have Jonah Goldberg's fake Pulitzer nominations. These unprincipled losers are so desperate for liberal approval, they'll even fake it if need be.

So you won't mind if we ruthlessly squash the sexual pervert BLTG liberation movement and tar, feather, and splintery rail fag pride parades on sight, huh? I mean, the agora is a social media platform they didn't create and actively work to destroy.

This is why going around black-pilled is such a waste of time. In roughly fifty years the servants of the lie have managed to set precedents that justify their destruction. I can't imagine being sympathetic to witch burnings using sodomites as kindling just five years ago but they seem quite rational now. The forced nationalisation of Internet corporations is quite a minor consideration in comparison.

A Pullet Surprise is the painful point when a rooster suddenly discovers it's not a rooster anymore.

A Pulitzer Prize is the embarrassing moment when you're recognized for an inability to write the truth.

Which of these is unlike the others?

1) Rhode Island Red
2) J. Jonah Goldberg
3) Mr. French

PLEASE SPEAK LOUDER. I can't hear over the squawks.

Twitter is not free, btw. (Someone is “investing” in it.) I think it is s purposely misleading premise to suggest that it is free, so we can’t complain.

Free isn't our choice French, it's theirs.
A platform mostly built on top of open source software and claiming the safe harbor provisions of the DMCA (which requires it not to filter content). Yeah, I think conservatives have as much right to claim access as anyone else.

They're acting as a publisher. Simply use the full force of the DMCA on them and they'll be shut down in days. This is true for Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube. Make an example of them and the rest will learn the lesson.

> I can't imagine being sympathetic to witch burnings using sodomites as kindling just five years ago but they seem quite rational now.

Yep. They've set the rules of the game.

Pelosi says she wants Trump jailed. Time to propose a Congressional and Civil Service corruption council, selected by the President, that has an opened edited mandate to investigate potential corruption on the part of every sitting and incoming elected or appointed official, and empowered to prosecute any crimes it finds in the courts of it's choosing. Said council would, like the inverse Mueller team, be comprised entire of partisan Trump supporters.

Then see how Pelosi and company scream.

There’s something grossly entitled about claiming you should have government-mandated access to a social media platform you didn’t create, maintained by people you oppose, and that you should have that access for free.

So is David French building his own alternatives?

It's one thing to say that the social media companies are private entities and can do what they want. But if you aren't at least supporting alternative platforms, you're just full of it.

I tend to focus on a two-fold approach: support alternative platforms and petition the government to stop this madness.

Think about it - who really created Youtube? Developers and investors - or content creators? What is YT without the content? It's nada.

I'd say people like Pewdiepie, Alex Jones, Stefan Molyneux made YT to what it is. Any one contributing does not deserve to be called 'grossly entitled'.

If I were to create my own social media company and could kick people off for being pro open-borders, pro-trans, or pro-Islam because I deemed it anti-Christian hate speech, does anyone think the federal government would be like, “Well, it is his privately owned company. Hell. No. They. Wouldn’t.

Anymore I have little sympathy for the "but its a private company, they can do what they want" arguments. No, its a corporation, created by government dictate, given special powers and privileges by government. Its very existence is contingent upon the government enforcing this legal fiction on the rest of the world, and its ability to generate revenue is contingent upon the government enforcing a multitude of laws and regulations regarding other legal fictions (Intellectual Property, for example).

I'm not saying that this gives the state the right to do anything it wishes with any incorporated entity. There are moral duties that apply to all actors, individuals as well as those acting on behalf of others through corporations or government, but those taking advantage of special government privileges have special social responsibilities as well. My point is simply that it is either ignorant or disingenuous to claim that some massive corporation like Twitter or Google is at all a "private" entity that should be immune to government interference, when its very existence is dependent on government interference.

NO....there is something grossly EMPOWERING about NeoCons returning to their Leftist Liberal roots. It reminds them of their misspent youth.

Of course, actual Right Wing individuals should NOT be treated the same as literally everybody else. They should be denied employment and housing and public utilities, they should have to pay extra taxes and fees, they should have to wear a badge or armband when in public, they should not be allowed the same free parking as everyone else. After all, they did not build it anyway.

Welcome to the David French NeoLiberal World, which is the old country club model. Everyone pays $20,000 a year to keep out the riff-raff, but if you are a member of the Chamber of Commerce, you only pay half, and if you are also a member of the First Baptist Church, you do not have to pay the other half either. You did not build it, remember.

So we can favor those we agree with and exclude or penalize those we disagree with, and MAGA hat wearers must pay extra, or report for mandatory re-education or sensitivity training, and denied the same free parking available to everyone else, because WE have a key to the executive wash room. Conscience is a privilege reserved for the approved few. Choice is only when we agree with what you choose AND nobody else objects. Absolute freedom as long as you do what you are told, support a foreign country over your own, and shut the hell up.
