ALWAYS wait two days

President Trump never gave the green light:
President Trump says that he had not given the final go ahead for an Iranian attack when he called off a strike on Thursday night. He told NBC's Chuck Todd in a Friday interview that airs in full on Sunday morning on 'Meet the Press' that the planes were still on the ground when he called the whole thing off.

'Nothing is greenlighted until the very end, because things change,' Trump said. 'We had something ready to go, subject to my approval.'

He said he asked the critical question that caused him to hold back of a military general a half hour before the aircraft was due to take off.

'No, were about ready to go. No, but they would have been pretty soon,' he said. 'And things would have happened to a point where we wouldn't turn back, couldn't turn back.'

He said he asked how many people would be killed. 'Approximately 150,' the unidentified general told him.

Trump said the number gave him pause, considering Iran shot down an unmanned drone.

'And here we are sitting with 150 people dead people that would have taken place, probably within a half hour, after I said go ahead. And I didn't like it. I didn't think it was proportionate,' he said.
It was just more neoclown propaganda trying to force his hand into starting a war somewhere, anywhere. And he was right. It wasn't a proportionate response, especially considering the probability that Iran had the right to shoot down a spy drone that had entered their territory.

On his show yesterday Benny compared his beloved idea of disproportionate response to (paraphrasing) “that one crazy kid at recess you never wanted to fight cause he might have a knife in his backpack. You never know what he’s going to do if you were to cross him.”

You almost got your psychotic wish, Ben.

Hearing this yesterday boosted my respect level for Trump-as-human-being about 500%. I was already waaaay up on Trump-as-leader-of-the-country since 2016. This is just feel-good icing on the cake. I'm actually beginning to trust the President--a little--for the first time in my memory.

I said at the time that if he had actually given final approval, Bolton would have had the missiles in the air before Trump got his mouth closed. It was obviously something like this, which they misconstrued to the media to try to force his hand or trigger Iran into something that would do so.

Shapiro and Kristol should be flown to 25 miles outside Iran's borders, handed a rifle and a parachute, and pushed out.

@21. DonReynolds -- "Francis Gary Powers"

There is some chatter out there that Ike got smote by the Deep State/ CIA via the downing of that suspicious U2 flight. Ike was about to go to Paris for some serious summit with the Soviets.. can't have that. So *someone* hawkish in DC authorized a huge oopsie-daisy which would stab Eisenhower in the back, and demolish the Paris conference.

Who staged the incident? Probably CIA boss & deep-stater Allen Dulles.

https://www.counterpunch.org/2009/11/27/mayday-1960/

“The anomalies in the Powers case suggest that the U2 incident may have been staged. There was the timing of the trip, the unusually long route chosen to over fly the Soviet Union, his undisguised American origins… the reluctance of Congressional committees charged with the oversight of such matters to ask any searching questions, and other indications that Powers had done essentially what he had been told… All these ‘administrative failures’ indicate that even if the weird flight and strange behavior of Powers was fortuitous, the U2 presented an opportunity which may not have been unwelcomed.”

Sounds like 2019, and certain oil tankers.

Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose?

People talk about Trump playing 4D chess. Trump thinks ahead concerning our military- industrial complex. He knows that there are factions that want to drag him into a conflict. In this instance, he knew from the beginning that a military response would cause casualties. But Trump hid his cards and by asking late a question he already knew an answer, gave him an excuse not to start a new war.
Also in the airstrikes in Syria, it gave a bone to the military interventionists but the strikes just hit inanimate objects.
Trump has played out scenarios in his mind : what incidents that the interventionists could create that would lead to war, and what moves he could make to avoid conflict.

So the 1.7 MILLION illegal aliens who have already been ignoring removal orders for years can stop packing up to go back to Mexico. Trump says Congress needs more time (after 30 years) to think of a solution for the immigration problem. Actually it's all too clear at this point that Trump is never going to follow through on keeping his promises on immigration and the border. What he'z doing is SAYING just enough to keep his base from revolting, while actually DOING what Jared and the Koch brothers want.

Trump has promised a border wall, ending birthright citizenship, tariffs on Mexico, closing the border, and now deportations. And yet he's done none of those things; he always, ALWAYS finds some excuse to cancel or indefinitely postpone anything that would tackle our border and immigration crisis.

But hey, he was real damn quick about moving that embassy, can't forget that!

Sustaining the petrodollar is a red herring. Russia, China, and Iran would have to demonstrate their economies to be stronger and less corrupt than the American one, which they appear to show no signs of.

No idea DCML. Was thinking more along the lines of a converged CIA, not being able to muster a full false flag, but a half ass bargain basement sale variety. Not knowing who is doing what with certainty, "CIA converged" seems the most likely, default.

I was a pretty serious gamma growing up and I understood the hierarchical nature of the schoolyard fighting (not combat btw) I just didn't CARE. I took the "start nothing finish everything" rule and turned it personal. Any attack on me or my little brother was met with immediate vicious violence meant to at least hurt if not cripple or kill the other kids. I very quickly decided on this policy because A. It seemed to work and B. It fulfilled an emotional need to strike back at someone who "deserved it" and C. It seemed the only appropriate response to being out numbered constantly....
Of course that vicious counter attacks to the groin, from behind, to the throat, to the mouth, and with heavy or sharp objects only INSPIRED more people to attack only fueled the victim mentality...
Once you are on the bottom of the hierarchy and have no chance of climbing it, EVERYONE becomes the enemy.
God help us if Gammas ever get a suitcase nuke!

An interesting complication on the matter.

President Donald Trump gave Tehran prior notice ahead of the US attack on Iranian missile sites that was aborted on Thursday, June 20, saying that it was “imminent,” and adding that he is against war and wants to talk. Iranian officials replied that it was up to supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to decide on this issue although he is against any talks. The exchange stopped there.

DEBKAfile’s military and intelligence sources report exclusively that some of the messages the US and Iran exchanged shortly before and after the Iranian surface-to-air missile shot down a Navy missile over the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday did not go through any third party. They were channeled directly through a new hot line established in the last fortnight to create a direct link between the US Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain and the Bushehr-based Revolutionary Guards Navy HQ.

The latest exchange ran into the main stumbling block in this communications process: there is no knowing for sure which messages actually reach the all-powerful supreme leader. Washington channeled a second set through Qatar – not Oman as both US and Iranian officials told reporters.

Hot lines especially in the Middle East are designed for emergency contacts between opposing powers to avert unintentional war conflagrations. They are maintained inter alia by the US and Russia, the US and Israel and Russia and Israel. This mechanism works only when it suits both parties. When one of the sides is intent on concealing its actions from the other, the link goes silent.

This breakdown of communications through the new hot line was behind the complaint heard from Gen. Amir Hajizadeh, chief of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Aerospace Command: “Iran warned the [US] drone four times, and the drone would have transmitted the warnings to its central stations. Unfortunately, when they failed to reply, and the aircraft made no change to its trajectory… we were obliged to shoot it down.”

The US insists the drone was shot down in an “unprovoked attack” in international airspace over the Strait of Hormuz.
“Their failure to reply” is the outstanding feature of the new hot line. According to our sources, the Trump administration has sent several messages through the Manama-Bushehr link warning Tehran to call off its planned strike on a major Saudi oil target, which is scheduled to occur in days. As far as we can establish, no Iranian reply has been forthcoming up until now.

If the Iranians were warned of the attack, how would 150 die? Would they not evacuate?
If the drone was warned, why was it still there?

A proportionate response: https://www.engadget.com/2019/06/22/us-cyberattack-reportedly-knocked-out-iran-missile-control-syste/

> Shapiro and Kristol should be flown to 25 miles outside Iran's borders

Make that 25 meters, and I might sign on. :)

> Why would you do ANYTHING the Democrats request on border control??

The same reason he offered them a deal on the "dreamers". He knows they'll walk out. Remember, MPAI. They need frequent reminders of just what the Democrats are. Trump will look like the adult in the room and proceed with his plans.

> I still don't understand why Trump appointed Bolton and Pompeo in the first place

Good cop, bad cop.

> I like to call him Li'l Benny

I use Benji, because he's always yapping about something, and Benji was a small dog.

What you mean is, "1,500 people..." Omar Bradley, the Soldiers' General" ran such a tight unforgiving schedule for D-Day that it denied air and naval support for the troops landing at Omaha Beach! Turned a tough landing into a "meat-grinder" for American troops in the first wave.

But at least there were no "friendly fire" casualties for which Bradley could be blamed; just 1,500 or so, American boys cut in half by German MG-42s. Price of a tough landing on a tight schedule! Couldn't be avoided; cost of war and all that command BS!

Some enterprising journalist should investigate the many foundations and think tank with America/American in their names that are fronts for Israel. American Enterprise Institute, Foundation for the defense of democracies and Edmund Burke Foundation are Israel first groups.

As for the removal of illegals, there may have been a good reason for the delay: https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/officials-accuse-dhs-chief-kevin-mcaleenan-of-leaking-ice-raids-plan-to-sabotage-operation

Deportation rates were actually higher under fricking Barack Obama than they are under Trump

But yeah, Trump is doing all he can guys. Trust the plan.

Obama had Carter blanche to do whatever he wanted, no one bothered to pay attention, are you sure those deportation numbers are legit? Sure would be convenient to have bogus numbers to use against Trump as a talking point.

Obama counted stopping someone at the border and turning them away as a "deportation".
