Framing Infowars

It looks like someone is really desperate to take down Alex Jones:
The FBI has informed Alex Jones someone planted child pornography on the servers for his Infowars website and on Friday the controversial radio host offered a $1 million reward for any information leading to an arrest.

Federal authorities have been conducting a child pornography investigation for several weeks after they reviewed emailed threats made against Jones that contained links to child pornography websites, according to his attorney Norm Pattis.

Pattis appeared on Jones’ show late Friday afternoon to discuss the incident. But before he did Jones went on a five-minute, profanity-laced rant announcing the reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of whoever infiltrated the his company’s servers.
Forget deep fakes. The real legal issue going forward will be criminal material that is planted in order to frame innocent people.

One thing that many readers here might not know is that one blog troll I've mentioned as having had investigated by police in the past was guilty of doing this, not to this blog, but to a forum he had been frequenting, which was one reason the police didn't hesitate to act.

In this case, it looks as if it is likely someone who was aware of, if not actively involved in, the Sandy Hook lawsuit against Infowars.

Heh. The foundations of war are laid brick by brick.

At this point, believing charges made by the enemy is akin to superstition.

I listened to AJ on the radio on Thursday night. He spent an entire hour selling the neocon line that the attacks on the ships in the Gulf had to be Iran. Typical AJ, short of facts but long on "this guy told me" information.

I only listened to him because I was in Wyoming and there were very few radio options.

This helps the SJWs. Now all vids can be claimed as DeepFake. We surely cannot believe our lying eyes!

It continues to perplex me as to why such wall has been put up around Sandy Hook investigation. Aside from the age of the children of course. But in the flipside of that you'd think they would have made more use out of that than they did.

The biggest propaganda production was built around Parkland, and they went some way toward forcibly shutting down backlash against "crisis actors." But nothing like with Sandy Hook.

I have suspected this ever since the one anti-Iraq War guy was "found" to have it. Awfully convenient timing, that was.

We - I refer the 1990s old school right wingers basically - have been referring to electronic KP as "digital dropgun" since, well, the 1990s.
One rule of thumb we used was if you got raided and found yourself handcuffed in front of your house but left there for a while, then it meant they really had nothing on you and were planting stuff on your computer.
This is why I'm proud to have been involved in some of the earlier developments of evidence collection software that encrypts evidence to protect it from tampering. That was a long time ago.

Chances are this is going to be one of those silent battles of the civil war. There are going to be feds trying to mess with this investigation because they are the enemy, and there might be a few good ones trying to do an honest criminal investigation.

Blogger Reph June 15, 2019 8:22 PM

This is why, when laws are being discussed and drafted, we must always be careful to include intent in the definitions. It is far too easy to have evidence planted or to fall into a trap like AJ seems to have done. (I bet he clicked that email link...)

I seem to recall that someone had either planted or tried to plant CP in the Bitcoin blockchain. This was an attempt to delegitimize the fake "currency", but it would also theoretically make anyone who used a local Bitcoin wallet, with the full blockchain, guilty of possessing CP as the file would be able to be constructed from the blockchain transaction log.

What a strange time to be alive.

Wasn't something similar tried by govt agents against that former CBS correspondent(sheryl atkinson?) who was critical of the Obama administration?

The problem one of them anyway with secret warrants and that access is that the desire to find incriminating evidence against someone can easily lead to planted evidence. Warrants need better oversight abd or sunlight.

I'm surprised the FBI treated it like a frame job and didn't outright arrest Jones.

Is the FBI getting a makeover?

Blogger Daniel June 15, 2019 9:01 PM

If the FBI WANTS to catch the culprit, they will. The question, does the FBI want to catch him?

I watched John Wick 3 again and the cinema was half full. This is for a movie that's been out for a month. Nobody watches woke. They want to watch good entertainment.

Same here. It's one conspiracy theory I've never dug into, but I'm starting to think I should. The absolute moratorium on any discussion of it is near Holocaust levels.

Is the FBI getting a makeover?

It's been getting one for two years. There is surely still plenty of corruption, but there are pockets of decent people who have been installed or freed up by having their corrupt bosses removed so they can do their jobs, and it's starting to show.

Blogger Didas Kalos June 15, 2019 11:40 PM

The people involved in the fake Sandy Hook shooting do not want the case to go to court. Talk about a false flag. When enough people are woke to this false flag it's all over.

Blogger SciVo June 15, 2019 11:40 PM

@17 Daniel:

No, my guess is that Alex Jones is lucky that someone in the FBI warned him that someone else in the FBI was setting him up. I don't believe for a second that anything will come of this, any more than Paddock's alphabet agency handlers will allow anything to come of Mandalay Bay.

Blogger VFM #7634 June 16, 2019 12:01 AM

@CM

The FBI is ultimately responsible to Trump and Bill Barr. And IIRC Trump named Alex Jones personally in at least one of his tweets.

Blogger Doktor Jeep June 16, 2019 12:29 AM

They tried to "porn bomb" Luke Rudkowski once with KP in an email. This was back when he was more effective.

As for the feds wanting to catch the actual suspects... well we have to get past the possibility that the suspects are feds.

Blogger Brad June 16, 2019 1:48 AM

What #10 said: The police have been doing this stuff forever. They take your electronics into custody, and...who knows what happens to them?

True story: As a college freshman, I was handed a computer by my older cousin (who was a secret service agent), and asked to get information off of it. There was no chain of custody, heck, there wasn't even a backup. As it happens, I was competent and conscientious, but... What happened before they handed me the computer? After? Whatever they claim, their actual practices are wide open for abuse.

So here the FBI is saying that someone else is planting evidence. That's nice of them, and all. I just wish we could trust our law enforcement agencies.

Blogger wahr01 June 16, 2019 2:13 AM

The favorite method of "disappearing" problematic reporters under the Obama administration was to "find" cp on their electronic devices when they crossed borders.

Blogger Fuzzums Wuzzums June 16, 2019 4:19 AM

I was having a look through Mister Metokur's twitter and apparently Resetera has been exposed as being a pedo-hive.

If nothing happens to whomever tried to frame AJ or to the Resetera folks then it's gonna look to the public like the authorities just see pedophilia as some sort of petty crime. This happened to weed, first they turn a blind eye to it then they try to legalize it.

Giggling at the alt right paying attention to Alex Jones. Even in this article, it's noted how Jones went on an "unhinged rant". That's his entire stock and trade. At least 50% of what he claims about the world is bullshit and guess what? Only on the web would that not not make him easy to dismiss. IRL, a person like him is to be pitied and avoided. The alt right beclowns itself by associating with him and taking him seriously at all.

That I even have to say this is telling.

Blogger Johnny June 16, 2019 8:10 AM

@28

Lets not give a pass to the methods used against Alex Jones even if we have little interest in the person. The tendency is to be consistent, and noting the methods used against Jones will make those same methods easier to spot and argue for in the future. Hey, modus operandi.

Re: Sheryl Atkinson

Anonymousconservative.com often has updates on her case.

The Iraq war example mentioned above was Scott Ritter, a UN weapons inspector who claimed Iraq had no WMD's and was suddenly arrested on child porn charges.
Interestingly, watched the first 2 episodes last night on youtube of Blake's Seven, a UK tv series from early 70's. Blake had been a renowned figure in the resistance and the ruling structure needed him to be demonised so they, wait for it, stitched him up on child molestation charges!

Blogger Ingot9455 June 16, 2019 10:08 AM

They did a similar child-porn gag on the X-Files. An older ex-government gent is trying to pass Fox Mulder some information when he gets busted on child porn charges. Mulder happens by as the feds are rifling his house and taking everything under their search warrant after claiming to find kiddie stuff.

Mulder gets suspicious of him, when the guy says, "Are you kidding? They do this to me every few months!"

That you think Alex Jones is the point when we're discussing the tactic of planting illegal information on people's computers is considerably more telling.

Alex Jones, whatever his faults may be, is obviously more reliable than you.

A good place to start is with the article Sandy Hook Evidence: Where is the Blood? and the video Dear Wolfgang - Revisiting Sandy Hook, both of which have different reasons to believe Sandy Hook, as presented, was a hoax.

Jandolin wrote:Speaking of Sandy Hook, the (((usual suspects))) have introduced legislation to nullify the Second Amendment.
The only reason it would "nullify" the second amendment is because the Judiciary has been taken over by the mindset that elevates Judges and there rulings/opinions above the Constitution or any other Law. (See this.)

I'm not a fan of Alex Jones, but the lengths some are going to shut him up are truly compelling. Maybe he's over-target after all.
