The Red Petition

Disney, Netflix, and Hulu hate you, your family, your Christian faith, and America. So why support them with your financial resources, asks the Red Petition.
The mainstream media and entertainment companies have come out in full force against conservative values and it’s time we show them that our voice matters. Perhaps they just don’t realize how much the conservative audience is worth?

From large cities, to rural America those who hold to conservative values still have a massive financial influence and it’s time we see just how much their opposition to our core values really costs.

With that we are asking you to stand with us to stand up to the liberal agenda against families, and basic morality.

But this is not just a petition.

Every time someone signs up and fills out our petition, it automatically calculates your value as a customer, and your loss to media companies per year. The latest total loss per year is posted at the top of this page for Netflix, Disney and others to see.
I would sign the petition myself, but then, I've never subscribed to any of the three services involved. On a not-unrelated note, it's interesting to see that DC has officially denied rumors that it is shutting down its DC Universe streaming service, which tends to suggest is only a matter of time before it confirms that it is, in fact, doing so.

I'm afraid many of us here fall into that category. :)

I cancelled Netflix 3 years ago, Amazon Prime 2 years ago. They have both become purveyors of upside-down propaganda.

Blogger Nostromo June 10, 2019 11:24 AM

I confess, I do have Hulu, but it came free with my phone.

Blogger InformationMerchant June 10, 2019 11:58 AM

Even if Netflix didn't hate them, I'm not sure why right wing adults would still be subscribed to Netflix at this point. It has been awful for years. At least in 2015 they were still putting out things that appeal to people other than SJWs and teen girls.

The only person I know that is subscribed to Netflix and is an adult right winger is a boomer that exclusively watches TV shows in Spanish.

Cancelled Netflix last week. It was a bit of a fight with the Mrs but the abortion stance combined with me adding the office to our plex server solved the problem. Disney is going to be a tougher challenge with her. Her mother runs a student travel company and gets many perk from the Mouse. She accepts that we shouldn't support them but she is worried about shaming tactics from her mother.

I've never used any of these three services. And yes, if any company is politically hostile to me, of course I'm going to stop using their products and services whenever possible. When not possible, I will minimize my usage of such as much as I can.

Signed the petition last week. Never subscribed to Hulu and will not subscribe to Disney.
Subscribing tonight to Unauthorized TV. Looking forward to a Roku app.

Blogger Tars Tarkas June 10, 2019 12:21 PM

The people who can't be bothered to drop a subscription service are the ones who are going to be fighting in the "upcoming" wars? All of the "right wing" YouTubers I sub to all end up doing reviews of SJW movies or shows. They go pay for this shit at the movies, or cable and they even watch the shit on network TV.

I had Netflix, but the day I heard about the announcement of "Dear White People," I cancelled it. That was the last of my cord cutting.

I ditched Netflix when I heard Soros was buying it.

In semi-related news, a California court refused to dismiss a class-action against Google. A large group of white and Asian men with conservative social values are suing the company on political, sex, and race discrimination and are seeking class certifications to proceed. They accuse the company of using illegal quotas for women and minorities to create "an ideological echo-chamber" at the company.

OT

Milo published his story on Caolan Robertson and George Llewelyn-John today. Shocking stuff. The Nationalist Right needs to do learn how to do basic background checks before hiring people like Robertson and Llewelyn-John.

With full on in your face SJW depravity from Doom Patrol and TeenTitans I guess DCU discovered how many of that core Social Justice League of America audience there is actually interested in purchasing a subscription. Note to DDC:SJW'S want it for free. The rest of us won't pay for it unless Justice Roberts decides the streaming service subscription is a tax.

Blogger MidnightSun June 10, 2019 1:09 PM

Only subscription I have is Kindle (and of course Unauthorized)because wherever I am in the world I can read a book. I can only hope that in the future Vox comes up with some sort of app to alleviate the pain I feel each month when $9.99 is extorted from my bank account!

Blogger Unknown June 10, 2019 1:21 PM

With a "jailbroken" FireTVstick you can watch (via internet streaming) almost anything you want for free.

Remember: stop going to the cinema, cancel your Netflix, your Amazon, your Hulu, your HBO, your iTunes, your cable, and don't forget to seed.

Libraries are free. And they have digital access. I have a membership to three and access to more books than I'd read in a lifetime. I also live in a less converged district, so access to the good stuff is still there.

How does one resist when one has already resisted?

I take issue with this though:
... have come out in full force against conservative values ..."

because we're beyond conservatism now.

Blogger Nate June 10, 2019 1:44 PM

never had hulu or Disney. Netflix was great at one point. but set aside the politics.. what is on Netflix that you want to see? stranger things? ok. so subscribe fir 4 days.. binge watch it and cancel. the best argument for killing netflix.. is that Netflix is garbage now

Blogger Brick Hardslab June 10, 2019 1:52 PM

Abortion stance? Was my first thought, then I thought, of course they have an abortion stance.

Blogger Doktor Jeep June 10, 2019 1:53 PM

Perhaps rather than a boycott - which I fear is ineffective anyway since for every "country boy" who won't buy the product there are at least 2 H1B wonders plus 10 immigrants in the city brainlessly gobbling it up - we should instead find ways to use the service without paying for it.

Blogger Steve Samson June 10, 2019 1:59 PM

Pretty much anything "exclusive" to Amazon, Netflix or the premium YouTube is available on the snide if you look. If you want to encourage such behavior... I get stealing resources from my enemy is part of a war but does that extend to watching TV shows for free in a culture war?

Blogger Rabid Ratel June 10, 2019 2:13 PM

@Steven Samson
Why would you willingly allow (((the enemy))) to pollute your thoughts with their vile propaganda?

Blogger JRR June 10, 2019 2:40 PM

People don't care about freedom. They care about bread and circuses. IF the government kicked down people's doors and either A: demanded they turn over their firearms or B: cancelled their Netflix, Amazon Prime, et al, I'd bet a large majority would choose A.

Blogger VD June 10, 2019 2:45 PM

No, it doesn't actually cost them any material resources, and everything that you think and do changes you. Unless you want to be an NPC, don't give them access to your brain!

Blogger Cataline Sergius June 10, 2019 4:15 PM

Disney and Hulu should be counted as the same corporate entity because at this point they pretty much are, since Disney now owns 60% of Hulu.

I strongly suspect Neflix is the weaker of the two companies. It's acting like a company that is trying to attract Silicon Valley VC money. There is a rumor that the only reason they gave Obama the ridiculous development deal they did, was as a form of backdoor payola.

Remember bribes don't get paid upfront anymore. You get your reward after you have left office. And Silicon Valley wanted Net Neutrality more than life itself.

Blogger Amethyst Dominica June 10, 2019 4:25 PM

It was evident that the mainstream media hated Christian values when the "Rural Purge" of the 1970s happened and a lot of high-rated family entertainment was kicked off the air in place of "diverse, urban" fare like "Maude" and "All in the Family". Sure, TV executives of the time thought citydwellers bought more products than cornshuckers did, but you can be certain those executives felt a fair amount of glee at the idea of depriving Ma and Pa Kettle of their uplifting programming. (Teaching the Kettle Kids about the wonders of abortion and premarital sex was an additional source of glee, we're sure...)

Blogger Cataline Sergius June 10, 2019 4:57 PM

The sad part is that Netflix is the best source of nationalist entertainment you can find anywhere.

Okay, okay not AMERICAN nationalism... Don't be silly. No, can't find American nationalism there (unless you count "The Ranch" but you can find Hindustani, Turkish, Chinese and most especially Korean nationalism on that site.

Sometimes it's just nice to know that there is an entertainment complex that cares about it's own country.

Blogger Garuna June 10, 2019 6:17 PM

I used to be spend a lot of money on Hollywood. Then Trump happened. And all of Hollywood said that I deserve to die for being right-wing. Have only pirated their content since then. Didn't even pay for Avengers Endgame.

Last year, their material became so shit and so infected with SJW nonsense that it's not even worth pirating. I've switched to mostly European and Asian films/TV. The former of which I also only pirate.

Blogger Garuna June 10, 2019 6:19 PM

Bollywood is at least half right-wing Hindu nationalist. In the recent Indian general election, a bunch of Bollywood stars were elected into Parliament running as the Hindu nationalist candidates.

When you look at the success of movies like "Facing the Giants" and "Fireproof," it's obvious that the American public is starving for high-value entertainment.

Blogger sammibandit June 10, 2019 10:18 PM

One of my relatives watches Netflix when I visit. Very dark programming and I don't mean just the lighting. The shows make me feel very uncomfortable.

YouTube has a lot of passable B action movies as well as really good subtitled flicks. There's also some 60s era Canadian shows on there like one about a Mountie and his dog.

I don't read much anymore. I'm still trying to finish The Secret Histories by Procopius and it's not even difficult reading. I'm a potato.

Indeed so; this is, IMO & in-part, why the comic-book movies caught on so well.

Blogger Steve Samson June 11, 2019 3:19 AM

That too, although I was coming at it from a morality perspective.

Fireproof is churchianity propaganda.

Even so, I agree that options are limited, especially for kids. The Dobson-era Focus on the Family produced C.S. Lewis-based radio dramas that were well executed. The early run Odessey radio dramas were also harmless traveling companions for kids. FoF is cucked now.

I welcome the ilk to cutting the cord and even turning the thing off. I did that decades ago and was astounded at how much time was freed - life-changing.

I never subscribe to any of these streaming services. But I certainly won't be buying any Netflix stock in the foreseeable future.
