Pervs and pedos in the UK

The seemingly inexplicable enthusiasm for the late Jimmy Savile on the part of the royals of the UK is beginning to make more sense with the Epstein revelations as well as a recently released FBI dossier on Lord Mountbatten, the viceroy of India:
Agents began compiling the file, which spans more than three decades, in February 1944, shortly after Mountbatten became supreme allied commander of southeast Asia. Following his appointment, the FBI interviewed Elizabeth de la Poer Beresford, Baroness Decies, about another matter, and she brought up Mountbatten, The Sunday Times reports.

The file reads: 'She states that in these circles Lord Louis Mountbatten and his wife are considered persons of extremely low morals. She stated that Lord Louis Mountbatten was known to be a homosexual with a perversion for young boys. In Lady Decies' opinion he is an unfit man to direct any sort of military operations because of this condition. She stated further that his wife Lady Mountbatten was considered equally erratic.'

The royal kept a large group of gay friends, including Noël Coward, Terence Rattigan, Ivor Novello and Tom Driberg, who reportedly referred to him as 'Mountbottom'.

Lownie's new book, to be published on Thursday, contains an interview with Anthony Daly, a rent boy to the rich and famous during the 1970s. Daly claims: 'Tom said Mountbatten had something of a fetish for uniforms — handsome young men in military uniforms (with high boots) and beautiful boys in school uniform.'
No wonder Princess Diana turned into such a lunatic after marrying into that family. And it's not exactly a mystery why Prince William seems to gravitate toward the relative normalcy of his in-laws.

What does that mean? Did she practice Satanism and cannibalism? Or was she just an odd cat lady who became her husband's beard for money and/or status?

I remember seeing on the news years ago a video of a youngish man escaping from a top floor window of Buckingham palace. The video is still on youtube search: Man caught Climbing out of Buckingham Palace Window!

Since 2016 that video has become increasingly more sinister in my opinion. No follow up report was given at the time about who or what happened to them and I think it was brushed off by the media as a light funny story.

Lady Edwina Mountbatten

Not to go all Miles Mathis on you, but the erratic heiress got her money from her grandfather, Ernest Cassel, "one of the wealthiest men of his day".

Cassel was born in Cologne, in what is now Germany, the son of Amalia (née Rosenheim) and Jacob Cassel. His family were Ashkenazi Jews.

Blogger Unknown August 18, 2019 8:11 AM

In the 1950s it was rumoured that Lady Mountbatten had an affair with Nehru while she was Vicereine of India. I can't vouch for the truth or otherwise of the story, but they were certainly very close.

Blogger Le Regardeur August 18, 2019 8:11 AM

The IRA finally gave Lord Mountbatten justice when the blew him up in a fishing boat off the west coast of Ireland in 1979. What was interesting was that there was an early teenage local Irish boy on the boat also whose presence there was never really explained in the media but at the time it was widely understood that he had been "supplied" to Mountbatten.

Blogger tublecane August 18, 2019 8:16 AM

As I recall, Mountbatten was in on planning the Dieppe Raid, which was a smaller D-Day like operation that ended in disaster for the Allies. It's not much spoken of, perhaps because Canadians got the brunt of it.

There is also a story about him being snubbed by Stalin at Potsdam because he kept bringing up the Romanovs.

Oh, and he totally screwed up Indian independence.

Blogger Wazdakka August 18, 2019 8:20 AM

Interesting you mention Mathis right now. I found his site, from a comment here, some week or two ago. Been enjoying his take on the 'problems' in physics, modern and older. He certainly has got me almost believing in Newton's mechanical universe, and fraud/erratic thinking in scientists. His conspiracy stuff involves Lincoln, David Crockett, James Bowie, the Alamo in general, and a host of others. Very into genealogical research. I think I will get his four books before he mysteriously 'suicides.' At a minimum his site is Diversion, the large case D was intentional. He believes, I think, that his third wave charge field is the basis of the old ether. If hes right then he's right up there with Hans Schrank and his Hidden Truth series. Which, by the way, is excellent reading.

They did so, because after it was all over, they wanted to have the records to PROVE what they had done, and to reap applause and admiration accordingly.

Adams, probably not. Anyway the Lord's pedo pecadillo's were likely enough for the UK spooks to off him. They may have used the IRA to do the job, or as a handy scapegoat, who knows?

I doubt the spooks especially cared about the pedo stuff, so one can only surmise why the order was given. Perhaps he was too flagrant, and the tabloids were on the case. Perhaps he was being blackmailed by the commies. Maybe he pissed of the Queen by not serving her favorite Brandy. Impossible to say. I don't think that at all. The video attempts to show that pi = 4, and it fails to do so.

Blogger Dirk Manly August 19, 2019 12:36 AM

I'm an engineer.

I was deeply sceptical of Mathis's argument until I saw the video (which, by the way, was produced without ANY coordination with Mathis, or even his knowledge).

Back to engineering. Engineering is the land of WHAT WORKS. An engineer will throw out an entire mountain of theory in the face of contradictory evidence.

Note that Mathis is NOT saying that Pi=4 for circular paths. He's saying that Pi=4 for MOTION on that path. And the experiments prove him right.

By the way, how did he get the idea that pi for circular motion = 4 in the first place?

Because all of the man-made objects in orbit were off by the ratio of 3.14159.../4

That's why "the orbits are off" implies pi for circular motion = 4.

Despite what you implied above, there is no "step 2: and then a miracle occurs" in Mathis's line of thought.

Blogger Uncle Maffoo August 19, 2019 1:01 AM

I was deeply sceptical of Mathis's argument until I saw the video (which, by the way, was produced without ANY coordination with Mathis, or even his knowledge).

It would be far more convincing had that video been produced with the coordination of, you know, an actual physicist.

Back to engineering. Engineering is the land of WHAT WORKS. An engineer will throw out an entire mountain of theory in the face of contradictory evidence.

Perhaps, but engineering isn't too great about explaining or understanding why something works in the first place.

Note that Mathis is NOT saying that Pi=4 for circular paths. He's saying that Pi=4 for MOTION on that path. And the experiments prove him right.

Care to explain the distinction between the two, Mr. Engineer?

By the way, how did he get the idea that pi for circular motion = 4 in the first place?

By grossly misunderstanding the properties of the cycloid.

Because all of the man-made objects in orbit were off by the ratio of 3.14159.../4. That's why "the orbits are off" implies pi for circular motion = 4.

I couldn't find any evidence for this outside of Mathis' claims.

Despite what you implied above, there is no "step 2: and then a miracle occurs" in Mathis's line of thought.

Then help us out and fill it in with the correct details. Act like an engineer and tell us WHAT WORKS!

"It would be far more convincing had that video been produced with the coordination of, you know, an actual physicist."

Oh, I see. So without the proper credentials, a straightforward experiment isn't allowed in as evidence.

Do you understand that the vast majority of the advancement in sciences was done by people who had absolutely NO credentials of any type? And if they had any sort of college degree, they were in religious and bible studies (because up until about 1800, that's the ONLY type of study program offered in any university).

The entire modern world of electrical power and signal propagation is based on the work of Oliver Heaviside, whose formal education extended all the way from the time he was 13 to the time he was 16, at which time his family could no longer afford the tuition for further studies, and thus, Heaviside did not even complete grammar school.

It's your sort of "why, he doesn't even have the right letters after his name" idiocy that is causing so many problems in this world.

Go back to whatever game of one-upsmanship you slithered out of, because what is respected here is truth, not "muh degrees!!!"

Apparently, motion is restricted to an underlying rectangular coordinate grid.

A circular STRUCTURE does not have to conform to that grid, but motion does, such that for any body in motion, "manhattan distance" rules apply, especially for curved routes of travel.

Once manhattan distances are part of the picture, it doesn't matter how finely grained the underlying grid is, the TRAVELLED distance around the perimeter of a circle is radius * 4, despite the fact that the circumference is radius * 3.14159...

It's very simple. Elegantly simple. It takes the sort of person whose time in the classroom exceeds his intelligence to argue against the experimentally proven, such as what you are doing now.

"In common everyday language, a circle describes a certain length."

Mathis gets points from me for wordplay like this. I'll have to read more of his stuff.

Quantum physics necessitates this. I came to this conclusion a while ago and it almost drove me nuts trying to think about circles. Mathis explains a lot in that regard from what I've read so far.

This has absolutely nothing to do with quantum physics. Quit acting like you know what you're talking about because you read a few articles on Wikipedia.

And you can say that the person performing said experiment was not an "actual" physicist because...?

Because an actual physicist wouldn't use an apparatus that wouldn't even qualify for a high school science fair.

Blogger Dirk Manly August 19, 2019 3:53 AM

The apparatus used was entirely sufficient for the experiment conducted.

In the face of overwhelming evidence, Prince Andrew pretends that none of it exists:

"This has absolutely nothing to do with quantum physics. Quit acting like you know what you're talking about because you read a few articles on Wikipedia."

You're both wrong and stupid, in addition to being pretentious and presumptive.

The fundamental principle of quantum physics is that there is a minimum discrete quantity of energy rather than a continuum.

Now apply this to motion of objects. An object can receive a certain amount of energy which changes its physical characteristics. In the case of motion, this would mean that there are set quantities of acceleration that a given body can receive. This literally means that a body cannot move in a perfect circle, because a perfect circle would require continuum quantities of acceleration to be possible.

Blogger Azure Amaranthine August 19, 2019 5:39 AM

Look, I had my own issues with the experiment, but they had to do with conversion of angular momentum of the bearings, and that the path traveled through the curved tube is technically slightly longer than the tube itself due to the bearing being partway up the outer (stretched) wall of the tube while in the curved part of the tube.

I'm not sure if these are sufficient to account for the differences, so there are my arguments for why the experiment might be flawed.

Your reasons? Your reasons don't rise to the level of retardation.

Blogger Dirk Manly August 19, 2019 5:42 AM

Mr. Maffoo

"It doesn't matter how beautiful your theory is. It doesn't matter how smart you are. If it doesn't agree with experiment, it's wrong. In that simple statement is the key to science."

-- Richard Feynman, Nobel Prize, Physics.

Now, kindly SHUT THE FUCK UP about things which obviously you don't understand in the slightest.

If you read Feynman's autobiographical works, he says that his BEST education was at Princeton -- not because the classes were better than at MIT where he got his bachelors, but because at MIT, all of the equipment was "gold plated", whereas at Princeton, everything of significance in the labs was made by the grad students themselves, "with chewing gum and bailing wire." He wrote that the LABS at Princeton, with all of the equipment built by cobbling up various pieces of whatever they could find taught him the true nature of experimental physics.

@79 Dirk, how circular are those ``circular'' orbits? It surely sounds as if you are saying that the orbit takes a different path than a structure? Is this because the gravity well is warping the path?

@26 David Stanley: "Royal family aren't English. Reinstate the Saxon lineage after Liz croaks."

Actually, William's children are majority English. Diana was descended from various illegitimate offspring of Charles II, and Kate's family is (as far as I know) wholly English.

@43 Bodenlose Schweinerei: "Cassell became a Roman Catholic at the behest of his wife, but many still considered him a Jew."

Reminds me of the story I perused on the Daily Mail a few days ago, all about Epstein's amour Ghislaine Maxwell and family. It said her infamous father was Czech. So I checked at Infogalactic and learned his real name was "Hyman Binyamin Hoch." Czech. Certainly.

Blogger Dirk Manly August 19, 2019 1:36 PM

@ O.C.

It has nothing to do with HOW the orbit is formed. It has to do with the fact that all curvilinear motion is governed by manhattan distances, as opposed to following the platonic ideal. It really doesn't matter if it's a perfect circle, or an ellipse.

Blogger Azure Amaranthine August 19, 2019 2:38 PM

Technically in the case of orbits, gravity is necessarily warping the path. However, if that were the direct cause of this, I'd expect their orbits to be faster than that indicated by pi = 3.1415yadayada rather than slower. It should also be pointed out that things have elliptical or spiral orbits rather than circular in the first place, since circular requires constant correction to maintain.

Blogger Dirk Manly August 19, 2019 3:01 PM

The low-orbiting satellites of the 1950's, just like the Space Station, and the Space Shuttle's, are/were in orbits that are close enough to circular that PI should be a good approximation to 2 significant digits.

In the 1950's and 60's, my dad said that you used to be able to go out at night, just after sunset, and see various satellites sailing by overhead (due to sunlight reflecting off them). I believe I've seen one or two myself when away from the light noise of cities, such as when I'm at Camp Grayling. Little bright dot, appearing like a bright star, with no contrail and visibly moving against the background stars at a speed no jet aircraft are capable of (except maybe SR-71, but those are painted black, and aren't highly reflective),

Blogger Ominous Cowherd August 19, 2019 4:41 PM

Dirk, Manhattan distance means that they aren't taking the northeast diagonal, but are going north then east, presumably in microsteps? Is there a physical explanation for that behavior?

Azure's ellipses are why I asked how constant the curvature of those orbits really is.

Blogger great_o'rety August 19, 2019 4:42 PM

As to Mountbattens they actually come from a certain Polish general of German origin of the Napoleonic era who was made a noble and then a count for his services by a tsar. He proved his loyalty by getting killed while dealing with Polish rebels during their November Uprising against Tsarist Russia. The tsar took the count's children as wards afterward and later the count's daughter, Julia, while being a lady-in-waiting to the Russian empress caught an eye of her brother, a German duke. They took a morganatic wedding and their offspring had been called Battenbergs since (rebranded to "Mountbattens" during WW1).

Blogger Dirk Manly August 19, 2019 7:11 PM

So the root of the Mountbattens/Battenbergs was an incest-based marriage.

That explains a lot.
