Take them on or be taken down

YouTube deplatforms The Iconoclast:
As the wave of social media censorship continues, another big name–or scalp–has been claimed by Big Tech. It was announced on Facebook that prominent British YouTuber, The Iconoclast, who amassed a large following of over 200,000 on the platform, recently had his entire channel deleted. The Iconoclast produced dozens of high quality videos covering sociopolitical currents in Europe, with some attracting hundreds of thousands of views.

The Iconoclast was one of many creators on the so-called ‘Dissident’ Right to have been demonetized amid a wave of censorship after updating their Terms of Service, in June this year.
It's interesting to see that the Big Tech companies appear to feel considerably more confident deplatforming people in the USA and in the UK. I suspect this has something to do with the differences in the various legal codes. Regardless, if you are not willing to take them on in court or arbitration, as per the terms of use specified, you should assume that you will eventually be taken down.

And, as always, build your own platforms. On that note, UATV continues to grow explosively, both in terms of subscribers and viewers. In fact, it's up 152 percent this month in terms of the latter. And we expect to debut SocialGalactic 2.0 in October.

Just to illustrate the point even further, my mom got banned on twitter 2 days ago. Said that some left-wing politician should get his ass beat.

While that, left-wingers often talk about wanting to kill their enemies without any repercussion.

Moral of these occurrences is clear: Youtube, Twitter and Facebook are looking for an excuse to get you... Unauthorized

My useless and very small youtube channel was deleted for reasons I don't even know. I don't even remember what kind of videos I had uploaded but I think they were about the "refugeee" fakery.

Anyway, God bless UATV.

The rate of deplatforming will increase. They are prepping the information battlefield for elections. They are not worried about legal actions (yet) because they think they can delay until their side wins the "final" elections and is permanently in charge of everything. After that, they expect even more protection from consequences than they currently enjoy.

Wow! Play on, playa. Well done UATV team! Many happy returns to triple digit growth!

@3 Stilicho

That will work for them all the way up to the time an armed mob decides to over run each and every objective.
Those objectives being the headquarters of Youtube, FB, Twit, etc.

Could it be they are just targeting english speakers, because the aim is the 2020 election?

Of course it is, Critias

Blogger Long Live The West August 25, 2019 7:46 AM

So 2016 again? I suppose it's hard for them to adapt to what's going on when they lie to themselves and others about everything.

Blogger Dirk Manly August 25, 2019 7:53 AM

As they say, If you strike at the king, you had better kill him with the very first swing...
Something tells me, Trump is going to win even bigger than in 2016... and the dogs will be unleashed on these cretins.

Any hints as to what Social Galactic 2.0 will offer? I' have been wanting to create something dealing with tactical discussions from Jeff Cooper to Bill Lind along with borrowing video and commentary from Max Velocity Tactical. Didn't want to waste my time with a twitter channel or dealing with the nazi goobersteins on GAB.

Blogger Shadowfax August 25, 2019 8:27 AM

I'm one of those who now watch on UATV instead of youtube. At first I hadn't moved because I had performance issues with UATV the few times I tried, but after all those 'dropped frames' I tried again about two wesks ago and now it runs smoothly. Great work!

Re deplatforming, Germany is just as bad. With 16 'states' on mostly different election timetables, there are at least single-state wide elections somewhere almost every year, e.g. 3 states in the coming autumn. And there's little hope of change in the short run. For the long run... let's hope the EU crumbles rather sooner than later. That will mix up things nicely, and at last there's some real hope of that now!

Patiently waiting for October to come.

Most people don't have the organisational ability that you, Vox have. They create great content, but building their own platform simply isn't possible.
Perhaps your platform would suit Iconoclast.
Another YouTuber of merit, Way of the World, was deplatformed on the same day. He has a backup channel on YouTube. I would urge people to check it out.

And we should all remember: this deplatforming of dissidents is a sign of the enemy's weakness. We are winning.

Blogger Unknown August 25, 2019 8:45 AM

You would be amazed by the Entity I battle on FB.

Blogger Rick August 25, 2019 8:46 AM

Hopefully, Iconoclast moves to UATV.
Then, “advertise” the content on YouTube with 20 second non-monetized account “trailers”. Easy as pie.

Blogger Wazdakka August 25, 2019 8:50 AM

Iconoclast is available on bitchute. After hearing about this I might buy his magazine to help him along.
The battle lines have been drawn. I feel like I am being forced into a political corner. I do not understand the enemy's moves. There was very little resistance to the globalist agenda yet every move creates resentment and increased opposition. Its almost like they want to be beaten.

Blogger Unknown August 25, 2019 8:55 AM

I deal with the Entity on my FB page. Cold...Stare...

Blogger Damelon Brinn August 25, 2019 9:34 AM

Yep. If you haven't been deplatformed or at least siloed or shadowbanned by next summer, it means they don't think you're a threat. Or that you've shown a willingness to fight back and make things ugly for them.

So 2016 again?

Sequel, not reboot. They didn't see us coming in 2016, so we were able to use their own systems pretty much with impunity. They decided in the weeks after Trump's victory that they wouldn't let that happen again, and they're willing to take the financial loss that will result from whatever users they drive away. This is a case where profit is less important than ideology; and besides, they tell themselves that the profit will all come back after they win and are secure in their monopolies again.

So it's going to be different. Harder in ways, but also more fun I think. We'll have to be more inventive about reaching people and getting memes out. 2016 was to some extent a lark, a middle finger to the establishment. This time we know we can win and we have a better idea of what losing would mean. It wouldn't mean back to the bipartisan globalist status quo of simmering the frog anymore.

Blogger John Best. August 25, 2019 9:55 AM

I hope the iconoclast has strategies in place for taking the fight to the enemy, my guess is that he will do the usual complaining and getting other youtubers to complain, leading nowhere. The dissident right should start acting like dissidents, rather than cowering and shrinking under the pressure.

All the libertarian spergs were so sure that build your pen platform was the correct response to deplatforming, lost revenue, and or censorship.

Fortunately, you have the ability and bandwidth to do so. They will remove this avenue is it proves successful. Which is why they are prepping the battlefield to do just that. Maybe they will ease up on the deplatforming as they see more people drop out on their own from discouragement.

Blogger Gregory the Great August 25, 2019 10:45 AM

Is it possible that Trump holds back on the legal actions against the social media companies until shortly before the election for maximum effect?

Blogger Wilkes Marprelate August 25, 2019 11:01 AM

"Way of the World", too, since he also got banned.

Blogger Wilkes Marprelate August 25, 2019 11:03 AM

Part of the problem with starting your own platform is that you need money. A lot of these guys are doing their videos on the side, after their work day. They don't really have loads of money. It might be worth their while to coalesce and create one together to see if they have enough to accomplish that.

That has been the response so far, I just want to reach through the screen and bitch slap the idiot. If you deviate from the SJW line even a little bit, and are still on YouTube, you are marked for deletion, and when they delete you, there is nothing you can do about it.
YouTube can and does outright ignore their user agreement and use guidelines to delete channels. Iconoclast had no strikes, no warnings, just poof, channel is gone, and the only justification they offer is a nebulous "repeated violation of the terms of use."

You would think that other channels would get the hint and concentrate on Bitchute or UATV, but normalcy bias is strong.

With the rise Pepe in Hong Kong the globalists are terrified of meme magick, there will be vectors of attack from private sources and, depending on the response, legal efforts to censor "Right-wing domestic terrorists."

It's all about power. How can they feel how powerful they are, unless they show that they are able to force people to tolerate offense?

It's possible the content creators believe that it's Youtube or bust.

Almost as if we are Youtube drones.

It's really an illusion that you can build your own platforms. The problem goes all the way down. You think your new layer 7 platforms are safe from unplatforming?

There's always a bigger fish upstream. The rot has made it up to the Cloud Flare level. You think Amazon won't yank your S3 usage? You think your registrar won't boot you? You think their backend service provider won't boot them?

It's a just matter of exposure. Get famous, or get popular, and the target will swing your way.

This could just be what it is, another unfounded rumor, but I've heard the same thing now on five different YT channels in the last two weeks - a big purge of "the channels" that do not fit their globo/homo narrative is coming this October, ahead of the one year push in the US 2020 election. Whispers of a massive purge never witnessed thus far in You Tube's history is what they're saying. I don't know whether this is true or not, but it makes sense they would want to "clear the waters" of anyone who does not agree with (((them))) around that mark. Time will tell, I suppose. It makes me sad for the content providers, many of whom have counted on the monies they make from superchats to supplement their incomes, but more so incredibly sad that our society has gotten to the point where we all have to exhibit group-think or we're not allowed to speak at all. So very thankful for Vox and Owen having the foresight and intelligence to start Unauthorized.tv and grateful for the excellent content provided there and the promise of more content in the future as well with new documentaries and the Rebel movie in theaters.

The Iconoclast has been on BitChute for a good while, now, with material definitely stretching back to the beginning of last year. He talked a bit about this in his interview on Red Ice TV. If I understood correctly, he's been mirroring his content there since that time. So that relationship was already reasonably deep, and may now be expected to get much more so. In fact, barring something like signing on with Vox and UATV, he says there - and in his announcement video of this foolishness on BitChute - that he's going to "bite the bullet" and prioritize that platform for his content.

As to what strategies he may have beyond that - he's started a mailing list that he admits is belated, but now is up. Plus the magazine ... So it's not entirely far to say, as some have, that all he's doing is 'crying' about it. Certainly, there's that - I suppose, if you want call informing folks of it as 'crying' - but it would be improper to say he's taking this entirely lying down.

Blogger Arcux August 26, 2019 5:15 PM

The effect these bannings have on me is to pique my interest. When someone I've never heard of gets deplatformed, I have to take a look and see if they were on to something.
