1100 percent and more

I'm pleased to be able to report that with 11 days to go, the Junior Classics campaign has passed 1100% of goal. The winning continues apace. We've spent the entire weekend working on the infrastructure for the leather editions, and depending upon what is possible and what is not, the result could be extremely significant for Castalia's long-term plans.

Also, the massive success of the replatforming campaign has inadvertently led to our acceding to the popular demand for a monthly Castalia subscription. This month's book will be Corporate Cancer. We're still working out what December's book will be, but the leading candidate at the moment is Quantum Mortis: A Man Disrupted.

Oh, but I've already read the ebook, you say? Sure, but when we say "the monthly book", we mean the ebook, the audiobook, and the paperback will all go out to subscribers that month.

Been waiting for the monthly subscription. Thanks for finding a way to do it Vox.

I'm tired of winning. Wait ...

Sports drink and deep breathing.

Oops ... tired from lifting.
NEVER tired of winning.

I'm getting through my backlog of books in anticipation.

Wait, dependent on the particular subscription level? Or is it at our option? As mentioned, I do happen to already have the QM: A Man Disrupted ebook. I wouldn't turn down the audiobook but will I need to be at that subscription level?

Could you maybe supply a coloured gift voucher to all those who would like to give this to somebody as a Christmas present?

The thirst for the preservation of Western excellence is alive. Every knee shall bow.

Wait, dependent on the particular subscription level?

Yes. We aren't going to try to keep track of who might have something already. $3 for an audiobook is insanely cheap - as is $1 for an ebook - so if you want to get both, go for the $3/month level.

I wouldn't turn down the audiobook but will I need to be at that subscription level?

Yes. It's very simple. $1/month is the ebook of the month. $3 is the audiobook + ebook. $20 is the paperback + audiobook + ebook.

It's an excellent value even if you already happen to have the ebook. Due to production times, we will probably do an all-new ebook-audiobook-paperback combo every other month.

We could create a PDF that you could print out. Would that suit?

Headed to Hawaii next week. Would love to have Corporate Cancer to read on the beach.

Blogger Gregory the Great November 03, 2019 5:59 PM

Yes, that would be great.

That's not happening, sorry. Thanksgiving is more like it.

Well couldn't pass this one up. Thanks for the good works

Hmm a rough guesstimating of ypur production and back catalogue indicate that you will either run out of material in ~3 years, or double your rate of publication.

Given the quantity of out of print classics it wouldn't be hard to do.

But the audiobooks are more of a constraint.

Sold! Not really keen on audiobooks but I soon might be. I would do that for $4 or $5 a month, wait, did I just put that in writing?

How does this campaign work? After it's over, will there be new opportunities to buy these books?
Thinking of getting them but my kid is too small for these right now - will only be a few years until he can use them.
thoughts?

Blogger SJ November 03, 2019 6:16 PM

Buy more bookshelves

After it's over, will there be new opportunities to buy these books?

Definitely the hardcovers and the digital editions. Don't know about the leather editions.

We expect to more than double our rate of print production in 2020. Our rate of ebook production is not an issue.

Blogger Zorlig November 03, 2019 6:25 PM

Ok, upped to $20 level.

Blogger Korbin Ransley November 03, 2019 8:01 PM

Nice. Good news all around. 8^)

I went to the website to search for it and found it was shadow hidden. Only direct link works. not surprised.

Blogger Bibliotheca Servare November 03, 2019 10:55 PM

Will the e-books be sent to subscribers' emails via link, like with Alt Hero? I'm excited. Wish I could swing the $20 a month, but I can't right now.

Do you have cover art available yet?

Blogger Dani November 04, 2019 6:36 AM

Same here, looking forward to the great deal while helping the efforts of the replatforming.

Blogger Dani November 04, 2019 6:37 AM

It's set up like that on purpose.

Blogger Daniele Grech Pereira November 04, 2019 7:03 AM

You bastards are going to make me buy these books and I don't even have kids yet.

Blogger opal November 04, 2019 11:39 AM

Vox - other than the obvious benefit of being able to gift the extra sets, does it matter at all for the campaign/stats/anything else if a contributor were to support once at the leather bound level or four times at the hardcover?

Given that we have to produce a specific number of leather-bound editions, that would probably be better. But honestly, either is fine.

Blogger OvergrownHobbit November 04, 2019 3:22 PM

Sold.

Blogger wgmeisheid November 04, 2019 3:45 PM

I know this slightly off topic but is there any plans to publish A Sea of Skulls in paperback or hardcover? I have given the two earlier books to friends who don't read books online (Kindle, etc.) and they are wondering when they can continue reading the next one.

Backed Jr Classics digital edition #1554.
