Establishing the Order

What was once only fiction has become reality.

Happy Birthday to the Order of Saint Possenti, established on the eleventh hour, of the eleventh day, of the eleventh month of the two thousand and nineteenth year of our Lord, to glory of God the Father, and His Son, our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

The Order of Saint Possenti is a military order of the Body of Christ. We acknowledge a broken world, a sundered church, and broken men. We together, Orthodox, Roman Catholic, and Protestant Christian men moved by the Holy Spirit, will restore and care for combat veterans in need of peace. We will train up vital Christian men for success as breadwinners, husbands, fathers, and citizens in secular and sacred leadership. We will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers. We will protect the weak.

Let it be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Soli Deo Gloria

"Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself. He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God. And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses. From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords." _ Revelation 19:11-16

Off-topic, but Q has gone volcanic this evening.

Try https://qposts.online/new

I'm still trying to puzzle it out, but one thing really hit me about the 3586 post..."NSA v C_A".

Let me do some public rumination so you can tear my logic chains apart...

The National Security Agency (NSA) has its roots in U.S. Navy cryptographic efforts in the First and Second World Wars. Their area of responsibility remains primarily cryptography, both creating our codes and cracking everybody else's. Note that the military background makes them much more obedient to elected civilian authority (who they may loathe, but will obey) than purely civilian agencies.

The Central Intelligence Agency has its roots in the Second World War's Office of Strategic Services. The CIA, like the OSS, has BOTH intelligence collection/analysis AND unconventional warfare portfolios. It's probably worth pointing out that the CIA has a culture of "Let's go off and do things without asking permission, just to provide plausible deniability." This was made VERY clear in the Church Committee hearings in the mid-1970s...but it also reflects the CIA's attitudes after the U-2 shootdown in 1960. In other words, the CIA has an institutional bias toward independent action, and a willingness to cross the political boundary that a purely military operation would not.

Conclusion: A behind-the-scenes conflict between NSA and CIA is plausible. This would be exacerbated by the apparent use of NSA capabilities to conduct the pseudo-legal wiretapping of the Trump campaign...which NSA would regard as improper. Remember that the day after Trump won the election, ADM Rogers (head of NSA) went to him and told Trump he had been wiretapped. If I were a betting man, NSA as an institution is NOT happy with CIA.

Blogger Janus November 11, 2019 9:54 PM

That's the way I hear it. Also, it has multiple separate and independent parts financed outside of legislative action, for example banking oriented issues, Israel, and a couple others. Ex associates paid thru non-directly attached entities but supported by CIA insider information could make for an unaccountable CIA operation.

Slightly related: One theory says Snowden was CIA sent over to NSA to steal their secrets so as to embarrass them.

Btw the law created out of the Church Committee to prevent CIA from affecting news in the USA was repealed several years ago.

God bless you Vox for this inspirational post. As someone who has gone through personal hell in the past year due to satanic influence on my family, and someone you have personally helped with an email or two that was full of good advice, I know firsthand that you are deadly serious about the salvation of the West, and the families, children and souls of the West. The book that the post references looks interesting. I shall buy a copy. I need some inspirational literature. With regard to John 6, either Catholics are idolaters for worshipping bread and should be shunned or protestants are rejecting Christ's doctrine on the Eucharist and are heretics. Your readings, Jason, of both John 6 and Ephesians 4:5 are... odd.

In the former, Christ is all but poking fun at the literalism of the disciples soon to desert him.

In the latter, "till/until" are key to understanding the maturation of the Body. If you have something biblically-based that argues the Body is mature, perfectly mature -- or even can be prior to His return -- it would be edifying to read.

Nonsense. If you are following Jesus, you're on His team. We can quibble over silly stuff as long as we get one thing right: Jesus is our lord and savior, we are saved only by our faith in the sacrifice He made once for us. Yes, the Roman Church has some pretty silly beliefs, but a member of the Roman cult who's following Jesus is a fellow Christian.

It is an odd world I live in. Inspired by my book, Heretics of St. Possenti, real men, initially led by a Salvation Army officer, worked to bring the order into existence, for real. It’s formal birthday before God is on the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month, 2019. Formal paperwork to satisfy the bureaucratic goblins of State will be filed soon, too. It’s mission will be help vets who need spiritual guidance and support as much as physical rescuing.

The founders include Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox members. The initiates will receive a couple of months “comparative religion” teaching, then will pick their course from the three. It may be the only monastery in existence with separate chapels from the three dominant Christian denominations within its walls. While I’m not a particularly religious man, I think it worthwhile to pray for this endeavor, and wish it the absolute best in both helping the men it aims at, and the schismed churches it draws from.

It is being formally created on this day, at this time, in commemoration of Veterans’ Day, a remembrance of the sacrifices the military vets the world over have made for their countries, people, and families. Not all who suffer in war died on the battlefield, but all deserve support, and I hope they can make the best sense of their experience they can.

Hmmmm, so, y'all believe what the mass media told you about McVeigh and what happened and who did what? Oh, well, OF COURSE the media told you the exact truth and nothing but than the truth. Riiiight. Because the mass media has been SOOOOOOO trustworthy that you know this tale is built of just as much validity as, say: the Gulf of Tonkin, 'babies out of incubators,' JFK, Waco, Las Vegas, 9/11, "weapons of mass destruction".....

I don't know the truth of the Murrow Building. NEITHER do you! I do know, as Vox Day suggests, that there is always a lie in the "orthodox/govt" tale... we may not know what it is, but we know it's there!

Any and every one of these orthodox: "we KNOW what happened so let's spend money and waste lives over it" has turned out to be fraudulent and/or manipulated. I don't KNOW if Timothy McVeigh will one day have statues to him as an American hero, the way Vox Day describes William Tell. Vox also says that St. Anders Breivik of Norway will one day have statues as their national hero – IF Norway survives!

@66, I was on the founding prayer meeting, which consisted of Protestants, Catholics, and Orthodox. I prayed the prayers with them. It's not that hard to find common ground in Christ Crucified. The Catholics do not worship the eucharist as an idol, that's a lie. There is a difference between reverence and worship. I'm converting to Orthodoxy myself from Protestantism. And funny enough, it took a Catholic friend to convince me to commit to Orthodoxy.

This isn't ecumenicism in the classic sense. There is room to agree to disagree without compromising. Each man will choose his doctrinal path after the comparative religion course, as the author himself pointed out up-thread. Combat vets need help, full stop. And Western Civilization needs salvation, full stop. So, other than being gloom and doom and attempting to sow discord with false accusations (Prov. 6:19) what the hell are you doing about it?

Brothers (and sisters too), the immediate task at hand is setting up commo. Your comments above need to be captured and acted upon. Working on it.

Bless you all.

Given the necessary decentralized nature of modern counter culture, does an update of the rule of St Benedict make sense? Practical guidelines for those outside the original founding community who wish to participate, without creating a hierarchy beyond the local branch.

My understanding is very limited, but the idea of original communities founded by St Benedict is that they were supposed to work closely with the communities around them for mutual aid.

What can I do to help?

Blogger nidus of inflection November 12, 2019 4:49 PM

Am interested. Haven't read the book, but this sounds like a good thing. I have one foot in church and one in military.

Am very interested in this; was VERY impressed by the Heretics of St. Possenti, and would have cheerfully joined the order as listed in the Book. As a disabled veteran, I would hope that I would have abilities and skills to offer the Order. St. Gabriel Possenti, pray for us!

Non nobis,Domine,
non nobis sed Nomini Tuo da gloriam!

This post inspired me to reconnect with a younger disabled vet that I mentored for years but lost touch. Coffee on Thursday. Thanks Beau. I would like to be involved.

If a simple Ilk can contribute in some form or fashion, just ask.

Blogger Unknown November 12, 2019 11:19 PM

Hi guys, would you please pray for me :)

Blogger Chiva November 12, 2019 11:56 PM

@Unknown,
How should we pray for you?

Blogger Beau November 13, 2019 2:39 AM

Heavenly Father, I bring Unknown to the throne of grace. Unknown is not unknown to you. The need for comfort, forgiveness, and protection is known. The need for succor, wisdom and direction too. Here, Father, is a prodigal child returning home. We know the story of your running to embrace the one on the road home. Do so again. Whatever other needs: spiritual, emotional, relational, physical, these are unknown to us - but not you. From heaven, help Unknown I ask in the name of Jesus. Amen.

I found all of these (I'll call them masculine) sites, including VD's blog, in looking for answers to questions I didn't understand in my heart. The first was Kim DuToit's theotherside blog. The most influential was Heartiste's. VD's has been the most steady, with a never-varying message that could be summarized as "Stop whining and FIGHT".

I never imagined that the long road necessary to bring my own life back onto the path the Holy Spirit has always faithfully shown me as the one true path to walk would find me praying silently for a man I've never met, that he might find his own way back to God.

"The Pussification of the Western Male" and gun culture led me through Instapundit (who linked Heartiste from time to time) to PUA, which led me to the Red Pill, which led me to God. I didn't see that coming.

@Beau has written a good prayer. I pray unknown finds his way to the path.

Men like VD and Heartiste, and in their own ways Glenn Reynolds and Kim DuToit, do more good than they may know, simply by giving voice to what some of us see as doubts; doubts that the modern world is "good". Satan rules this world. We're in a fight against evil, though we've been led to believe that evil doesn't exist.

Good exists. The Holy Spirit shows us the path. Rejecting the lies of Satan and walking the path requires opening our eyes, our ears, and our hearts. I pray that the word of God is heard by more men, and recognized as the Truth.

Thank you, VD, for never varying.

I am but a woman, but I am in to make "sammiches" and anything else that would need to be accomplished. My work skills include being able to organize and transcribe documents and stats at an extremely fast transcription speed with decades of experience in doing so, as well as previous editing experience with accurate spelling and grammatical skills. If any of these skills might be useful to this Order, please do not hesitate to contact me - I am based in the USA, in the Midwest. (Oh, and I can make pretty mean batches of homemade soups and homemade breads too - if there is a need.)

I am against ecumenism and for joint action. If we act in virtue and in Christ we WILL act in concert.
