Now where have I heard that term before?

Adam Schiff has publicly floated the idea of the House holding onto the articles of impeachment instead of passing them on to the Senate as "a sealed indictment":
We now have the spectacle of Bug-eyes Schiff and former Michigan Democrat Governor Jennifer Granholm laying out a scenario on the Sunday morning talk shows in which the seditious Democrats would go ahead and vote on articles of impeachment before congress recesses for the Christmas holidays, but then hold them up indefinitely while the House Intelligence Committee under Schiff’s control continues its clown show witch hunt.

The Democrat theory of the day being that Republicans can’t begin a Senate trial until the articles have been formally transmitted to them by the House. Here is what Schiff had to say to CNN’s fake host Jake Tapper:

“We have continued to learn more information every day. And I think that is going to continue,” he said on CNN. “So, we may have to file addendums to that report. We may have other depositions and hearings to do.”

Later on the same program, after Schiff laid out his strategy for ongoing investigations as far as the eye can see, Granholm detailed the other side of this latest un-American tactic:

“It is important to consider as Democrats to slow our roll a little bit. I was glad to hear that Adam Schiff said there is other information and this is not the end of things. And people are saying before you toss it over to the Senate, why don’t you take your vote on what you’ve heard and just hold it. Seal it, like a sealed indictment until you’ve gathered what you think is necessary to convince the jury that has already made up its mind. I don’t think we’re there yet.”

Yeah, sure, just seal it like an indictment, and keep the nation in limbo for as long as ol’ Bug-eyes sees fit.

This of course is what is known in the DC Swamp as a “trial balloon.” Schiff and Granholm obviously coordinated their remarks in advance to roll this concept out and see what kind of reaction it creates in the public and among their corrupt media toadies like Fake Jake Tapper.
It's not a trial balloon, it's a hapless bluff meant to stop the forces of the God-Emperor from unsealing all the thousands of indictments that will launch the long-awaited Swarm. And, of course, it is a virtual admission that the case for impeachment the Democrats have constructed is bound to fail. Which is precisely why the President should not accept their tacit offer of leaving things with the status quo; he has them on the ropes, he knows it, and now he knows they know it too.

Have you ever noticed that Shapiru, Kirk, Nickles, and Hogg look very similar? And that Schiff looks like an older version of the same? It is downright creepy (both the look and the existence of the resemblance). It's as if aliens undertook a breeding program for gay, bitchy, soyboys and they were the result.

Blogger basementhomebrewer November 26, 2019 7:44 AM

If Trump is sitting on sealed indictments then timing of dropping them is a tricky thing. Conventional wisdom says last week of October 2020, however I am not sure that would work this time.

The Democrats have already positioned themselves to claim the indictments are just revenge with fake charges in retaliation for the deep state uncovering his crimes and testifying against him. The media will immediately say the charges have been "debunked", they have abandoned any attempt to appear objective.

Further, most alternative sources are continuing to be deplatformed from the popular platforms which means real information gets disseminated much slower than in 2016.

I think it is going to take indictment, trial and conviction of some of the swamp before the message really sinks in with the public, which means he needs to drop the first round fairly soon or he is going to run out of runway.

I am not a campaign expert so am I way off base here? Is there something I am not seeing?

Blogger Calvin809 November 26, 2019 7:55 AM

Could it also be that they think if the God Emperor is bogged down in "controversy" it will prevent Trump from being reelected.

Blogger Rick November 26, 2019 7:58 AM

Basement— the timing is probably irrelevant. Trump’s base and independents will be more energized and encouraged than any damage the left could do. In other words, it was going to be a Trumpslide anyway.
It only benefits the GE even more to let indictments follow their proper course (no delay) rather than holding them for political advantage.

I think you've got the right idea. He needs to strike sooner than later. Waiting until October 2020 to do this will be immediately spun as some "desperate maneuver" to try to prop up "crumbling support" and "bad polling" (you just KNOW that's how the MSM will spin it all, with their manufactured fake polls to "prove it"). And I don't think he will gain much more support than he already has now, by waiting until October 2020; the lines are pretty much already drawn today. It's time for him to act.

I believe its all about the endlessly delayed IG report. Any indictments that may or may not be generated by that report will have nothing to do with Trump, so he can't be accused of drumming up fake charges.

Blogger Stilicho November 26, 2019 8:02 AM

@basementhomebrewer: justice delayed is justice denied is an adage for a reason.

I think you are correct about the need to get the prosecutions started soon. The Q psyop will cease to enhance morale and will be viewed as just another boy who cried wolf episode unless the long-promised actions start.

On the other hand, Trump has shown himself to be a master at exploiting the zeitgeist, so I expect he will do so again in some fashion.

Blogger dc.sunsets November 26, 2019 8:18 AM

I find the subtext of "headlines" often revealing. For example, a few days ago my local ABC TV affiliate's scrolling headline bar read that a federal judge had placed a halt on the Trump Admin's plan to bring back the Federal Death Penalty.

Schiff's not sweating quite enough. Yet.

PS: A fifth grader can see that this circus is an attempt to tar Trump in people's minds for the entire election campaign. Unless I've already missed it, soon we'll see Trump's observation that the Dem's are openly trying to use this charade as a means to manipulate the presidential campaign. Who needs Russian collusion when the real thing plays on national TV?

PPS: Recent ads for some NYT "TV" show reveal the subject to be "deep fake" videos that could influence a presidential election. The face who talks about that in the ad?

Adam Schiff.

Anonymous Conservative often dives deeper into the Rabbit Hole than my mind can absorb, but if ever there was open evidence today that a network of near-literal demons has members placed in key positions throughout politics and media, this is it.

So, wouldn't the logical reaction be for our God Emperor to immediately open them ALL?! "Obviously" since all the -- what's it now" 130-something THOUSAND? -- sealed indictments were filed looooong before Shifty began playing his ass-h.... er ... asinine games -- those indictments could NOT be in response to this game.

And please God, let's START with the ones with Shifty's name on them!! Roll'em out! Tsunami of deep state arrests!

I reassure my few half-asleep friends: 'even IF fully one-half of those "indictments" are, as the Dems suggest, "merely" sealed court documents, not indictments; okay-fine, that's still some 65-THOUSAND; as against the normal 1-3-thousand a year?! Still think that is in any way normal?'

There are 2 ways to vote for Trump in 2020. To cast a vote for him, and for a dem to not vote at all.
It is better to demoralize the dem base than to revenge-arrest dem candidates.
If there are thousands of sealed indictments, they will be unsealed after the Trumpslide. In that situation, no one (reason-able) will think “he had to do it.”
It’s better the Dems abandon the impeachment effort after 4 years of doing nothing re legislation etc for their base.

Democrats have to drag the promise of impeachment out to the election, because it's been their entire party platform for 3 years. They can't afford to drop it or to try it and fail before then. That's going to be a long time to stall. I don't think pencil-neck can pull it off.

This.

Most folks on here want to see revenge meted out now, and that reaction is understandable, but it's emotional. Everyone here needs to read "The Art of the Deal." You always exercise power from a position of maximum strength.

And what is that position? A second term as POTUS.

Think about it. If indictments come down now, it will be seen not only as revenge but as an election gambit. Why do it now? Win, and then drop the hammer, particularly if the GOP takes both houses.

The GE wants to "Drain the Swamp", not glass it with nuclear weapons. He will do what he can, but he will also try to avoid starting Civil War II. He wants to fix the existing USA, not tear it down and start over. This is going to tie his hands somewhat and at times he will appear weak.

President Trump is not our savior. He is a tool for Christian Nationalists to utilize while WE work toward our ultimate goals.

Also, I would not be surprised if he was trying to maneuver the Democrats into running Hillary again.

There's some things that Trump hasn't done that are quite perplexing; dropping the sword of Justice on voter-fraud, for example — pretty much all real-US people would back this, regardless of (D) or (R), so it's a no-lose proposition… one that shows he's serious about swamp-draining to his base.

I've already started to think Q is a "cried wolf" sort; he might not be, but there's only so much "disinfo is necessary" that can be had before it's mostly lies.

That God will see Justice done is a poor excuse for not doing Justice ourselves.
After all, the bible gives us a lot of instruction regarding Justice, and "unjust judges" is a reason God gives for destroying (or at least punishing) a Nation.

cheddarman wrote:just hang them all for treason
It would be absurdly easy to do that: just order the military to use lethal force at the border and invite the press along — the press would demonize the military for killing women and children, and the Democrats/NeverTrumpers would jump on that as a *real* reason to impeach. Let them pass the articles, then send in the MPs to arrest the 'aye' voters because what else can it be but aiding the enemy to attempt to remove the Commander in Chief of the military for doing his non-optional Constitutionally-mandated duty to protect the States from invasion? And that is the literal Constitutional definition of Treason.

We don't know what Trump's goals are. His actions generally further his goals, but there are a number of stories we could tell to explain his actions. I assume that his plans are imperfect, and that he adapts his plans every time he gets new information, or every time he sees an enemy reaction. Some of his actions have been miss steps that he has had to work with, some have been deliberate steps that worked the way he wanted, and we may never know which is which.

For Trump, plan is a verb, not a noun.

Blogger justaguy November 26, 2019 11:17 AM

I don't think that people realize how close Trump was to being removed from office over the last three years. He was probably safe after Mueller failed, for awhile but he has been counting to 67 and playing games to keep his count at 67 ever since before inauguration when head of NSA Rogers told him he was being wiretapped. When Romney quickly came out after the Ukraine whistleblower/leaker was announced and denounced Trump again shows us how the elites tried to get more senators onboard top force Trump to resign. The amount of corruption in the DC swamp is horrendous. Even now, it has become normal to think about wiretapping and sending operatives against a political campaign-- but only an R one. By the end of the H report fiasco that will be the new norm-- D's in power find reasons to spy and take active measures against the Rs. The R's-- not allowed.

As much as I want to see these people in crow cages, an even more sadistic part of me what's to see Pencil Neck and Nancy try this crap. Given how badly this impeachment hearing thing has gone for them, dragging it out even longer would just continue the pain and continue to wear down their poll numbers.

Trump supporters would become more and more enraged (and therefore motivated to vote), the average middle of the road voter would become ever more disgusted with the Dems, and even the wild eyed loons who think he should be impeached would become demoralized over how long it's taking. This bullshit is heart burn for Trump, but it's poison for the Democrats.

Yes it is a hapless bluff but not as hapless as the belief that there will be thousands of indictments. I don't understand the need to believe this ridiculous fantasy. Trump doesn't control the DOJ which is still wallowing in sedition/corruption and neither does Bill Barr. The people who would be in charge of such a massive and unprecedented indictment operation are mostly swamp rats and they are sure as hell not going to indict themselves or their co-conspirators.

Yes, they exist. Until this latest Schiftyness I doubted their relevance. Now I suspect from the Dem panic that they see those indictments as a threat to them, and they are trying to establish a poison pill to keep them sealed. Their problem is that Trump is immune to the poison. Inconceivable!

The reality is that all of these sealed indictments need to be unsealed all at once. You cannot do piecemeal unsealing because you don't know who else in the system is there who can throw cases and run interference.

A massive unsealing forces recusals in the legal, law enforcement and investigative units of government...all areas that can compromise cases that those indictments are based on.

Blogger James Dixon November 26, 2019 11:22 PM

If they actually vote on the articles of impeachment, then the Senate should treat them as if they had actually been forwarded to them and try the case. If they don't, the administration refuse to participate in any investigations they undertake.

As I noted on Gab, if the rules are going out the window, they can also pretend that articles of impeachment for every Democrat in the House and RGB had also been forwarded to them, and try them accordingly. Two can play this game. They won't do so, of course, but one can dream.

So my understanding of alphas (as I have said elsewhere) is that they are the most patient guy in the room, the least eager to make a deal, the fastest to walk out. And that's great leverage, but for it to work in an organization, they need their people behind them to have trust, because it will be uncomfortable for non-alphas.

And that goes double for super-alphas like Trump, who will even out-patience their alpha-bravos. And now he has to instill trust for an entire frickin' nation.

So he has his work cut out for him, and I only hope that he has someone he can delegate election fraud protection to, because he can't do both jobs. It's unpossible.
