The media's sieve of silence

The mainstream media has been keeping mum on the identity of the first "whistleblower", which only serves to demonstrate that they don't know how the Internet works. Nearly a week ago Paul Sperry identified Eric Ciaramella, a CIA analyst who worked with Biden and Brennan, is connected to Schiff, and was very likely involved in the fake Russian collusion campaign against President Trump:
For a town that leaks like a sieve, Washington has done an astonishingly effective job keeping from the American public the name of the anonymous “whistleblower" who triggered impeachment proceedings against President Trump — even though his identity is an open secret inside the Beltway.

More than two months after the official filed his complaint, pretty much all that’s known publicly about him is that he is a CIA analyst who at one point was detailed to the White House and is now back working at the CIA. But the name of a government official fitting that description — Eric Ciaramella — has been raised privately in impeachment depositions, according to officials with direct knowledge of the proceedings, as well as in at least one open hearing held by a House committee not involved in the impeachment inquiry. Fearing their anonymous  witness could be exposed, Democrats this week blocked Republicans from asking more questions about him and intend to redact his name from all deposition transcripts.

RealClearInvestigations is disclosing the name because of the public’s interest in learning details of an effort to remove a sitting president from office. Further, the official's status as a “whistleblower” is complicated by his being a hearsay reporter of accusations against the president, one who has “some indicia of an arguable political bias … in favor of a rival political candidate" -- as the Intelligence Community Inspector General phrased it circumspectly in originally fielding his complaint.

Federal documents reveal that the 33-year-old Ciaramella, a registered Democrat held over from the Obama White House, previously worked with former Vice President Joe Biden and former CIA Director John Brennan, a vocal critic of Trump who helped initiate the Russia “collusion” investigation of the Trump campaign during the 2016 election.
Both Ciaramella and Vindman are obviously Deep State anti-Trump operatives. That is another reason to believe that the groundless impeachment drive is not only going to fail, it is going to demonstrate just how desperate the establishment figures in both parties are to prevent the Trump administration from revealing their crimes, high and very, very low, to the nation and the world.

The joke is on the MSM narrative control clowns: Eric CIAmarella was first outed on or about October 10.

The delay of the FISA abuse IG report is frustrating. Hopefully it's the deep state dragging their feet to not have it detract from their impeachment circus.

Everyone knows the shit the Soros/Clinton/Mossad/MSM party has been up to. Even Normies sense it, and they will not feel a sense of "Justice Done" unless and until they start seeing leftist perp-walks and orange jumpers.

Blogger Wayne November 05, 2019 6:13 AM

MSM "journalists" are not a particularly brave lot and not one of them wants to incur the wrath of the intelligence community. I think they all know that the CIA wants to keep the name out of the public domain less even the dumbest among us would immediately see through this ruse.

Blogger Ska_Boss November 05, 2019 6:25 AM

It's almost as if the deep state/swamp, intelligence community and the mainstream media are all interconnected somehow.

So what is on the Mifsud blackberries? John Durham has got them now.

Those are the kind of crazy conspiracy theories you believe in if you don't take your meth.

I don't know, but Durham has a reputation for methodical doggedness. So the more leads they give, the longer it will take. And Mifsud was apparently working for so many intelligence agencies that he had to go to Italy to find safe harbor.

Current speculation is that it may shed light on interrelated ops against Trump, from the shading of the FISA warrants on Carter Page, to the setup/framing of Gen. Flynn.

"Ciaramella". It's them damn Chinamen again.

Bill Lind digs down past the DC gossipy crap and relates this to 4GW in his latest. I myself would like to take that bearded gamma boy and introduce him to the poor half of the D-party voting base and watch him get jacked up.

Blogger ace November 05, 2019 7:14 AM

NR lavished praise on Durham, calling him a professional with a 'sterling résumé' and commented that his appointment 'received no backlash.'

BOHICA.

This has become synonymous with "Establishment apparatchik". If folks in the media are proclaiming the virtues of a pol or official, be very skeptical.

MSM "journalists" are not a particularly brave lot and not one of them wants to incur the wrath of the intelligence community.

That's because they had to let the intelligence community records their deeds before being given their jobs.

Blogger David Ray Milton November 05, 2019 7:45 AM

Interesting. I’m sure someone here can explain why Paul or Trump cannot name this guy publicly. Especially for Trump that is our character not to call someone out. Is he prevented by the investigation?

Blogger Stilicho November 05, 2019 7:48 AM

Hey, homebrewer, haven't seen you around here in a while.

Imagine the wailing and gnashing of teeth should such blackmail files ever be leaked...

Blogger peacefulposter November 05, 2019 7:54 AM

Endless deep state ops against the God Emperor, yet he's still standing. And standing strong.

Absolutely incredible.

Blogger basementhomebrewer November 05, 2019 8:08 AM

Hey Stilicho, I read here everyday but haven't had time recently to follow all the comments, or write any of my own. Got married, bought a house on 5 acres and work load has picked up quite a bit. Hoping to have a child in the mix soon as well.

I still think this circus favors Trump across the board.

Americans love-love-love the underdog, and Dem Clowns (Congress & Media) have successfully turned the POTUS into David, with the Clowns being Goliath.

That takes real talent.

Even the politically agnostic are induced to favor Trump in all this. If the entire thing really is a game whose rules were written by Team Trump, then the script-writers really should issue a book to rival Art of War.

The whole “elite” caste of our society remind me (in this one way) of children: when they cover their own eyes they think we can’t see them.

I'm sure the exemplary Count de Money has a few words on that account, likely to be corroborated by local blackmail mills when they are dug out of their protective cowlings.

"Shall we speculate on his hat size?"

Low-profile with matching silky leggings.

Blogger Glacierman November 05, 2019 8:59 AM

The whistling thru the graveyard antics of the MSM, Dems/RINOS and deep-staters is becoming almost comical; Keystone Cops worthy script.

The true fear Deep State has is their appetite for children. Society as a whole, regardless of political or economic stripe loathe the abuse of their children. Those with any moral compass left will be holding the pitchforks, carrying rope and seeking the lamp posts when the tipping point of tolerance is finally traversed.

Trump has shown to be on the side of the children.

When the Deep State has finally cornered itself justice will be patiently waiting, as it always has, to unleash the fury. There will be no friends in the Deep State crowd, just meat.

Blogger Ingot9455 November 05, 2019 9:20 AM

Whether or not Paul/Trump know unofficially, Ciamarella is an 'anonymous whistleblower' and if they spoke his name aloud they would be accused of breaking the law by revealing his identity using their official powers.
Even though it's all over the papers.

Blogger CarpeOro November 05, 2019 9:24 AM

I wondering if the situation is reaching the tipping point where the general public ceases to shrug it all off. At the least I expect those who want to believe in the better aspects of the country's nature (civic nationalists) are at or have passed that point. The current rulers really shouldn't wake them up, but I think it is the nature of the beast that they can't do anything but what they do. When you build on a foundation of lies it will always fail eventually. The longer it is successful, the greater the backlash.

Blogger Nostromo November 05, 2019 9:37 AM

This was my take away when they started singing the praises of this guy. My eyes rolled completely out of my head, and down the street. Nothing to see here. Move along. Move along.

Operation Mockingbird maybe?

Blogger Oswald November 05, 2019 10:37 AM

I had not been including Biden on my list of co-conspirators, but I will definitely be adding him to the list. The reason I had not included him was I had not seen his name pop up that much during the first year of Trump compared to many of the others: Commiey, Yaks, BrLenin, Clap, Fage, Stroke, Baked, Ricin, abomination, and Crooked.

Blogger Giraffe November 05, 2019 10:40 AM

I'm not sure why Trump doesn't just state that until the whistleblower is produced, he will just assume there isn't one and this is all Pencil Neck in a back room making up lies.

Blogger Oswald November 05, 2019 11:13 AM

Son of an immigrant?

Mitt Romney, R-Utah, whose own father was born in a Mormon settlement in Mexico, extended his condolences for the victims and called for the U.S. to get involved.

Trump's big mistake was allowing any of Obummer's staff to hang around the White House. He should have fired the lot. Cleanse and more cleanse is the protocol.

Where is Mr. Clean when you need him?

Hindsight is 20-20 of course, but the GE probably thought he wasn't going to win, and voila!! he did. Then you have to sramble, and when you scramble, you make mistakes.

But look at it another way, had he completely cleaned house Day 1, none of these operatives would have done what they have done, and as a consequence, they might have escaped. Right now we have a shot of bringing some, if not most, down.

I guess we'll see.

Everything hinges on Durham now. If he does nothing, it's hopeless. Kompromat is everywhere, and Trump goes from GE to Greek tragic figure.

If so, get your guns and ammo ready, because then there definitely WILL be war.

If Trump's plan included some strategic leaks to embarrass his enemies, having those traitors inside the gates to let things slip to makes sense.

Funny thing, reading Sondland’s testimony is nonsense:

From MSN:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/sondland-updates-impeachment-testimony-describing-ukraine-quid-pro-quo/ar-AAJTPJr

“I said that resumption of the U.S. aid would likely not occur until Ukraine provided the public anticorruption statement that we had been discussing for many weeks,” Mr. Sondland said in the document, which was released by the House committees leading the inquiry, along with the transcript of his original testimony from last month.

In his new testimony, Mr. Sondland said he believed that withholding the aid — a package of $391 million in security assistance that had been approved by Congress — was “ill-advised,” although he did not know “when, why or by whom the aid was suspended.” But he said he came to believe that the aid was tied to the investigations."

Basically, this guy is not testifying to anything except his own opinion. He "came to believe?" He thought it was "Ill-advised?" He does not know "when, why or by whom" aid was suspended, but he is just offering his opinion? What kind of testimony is this?

Didn't this fail with Mueller?

So, is Romney connected to the NXVIM cult, like these women were? I mean, am I supposed to be upset that a Mexican cartel murdered child traffickers?
