Desperate to stop the god-emperor

I wonder, I do wonder, why Steven Spielberg is suddenly so interested in politics?
The liberal director of The Washington Post-touting film The Post (2017) Steven Spielberg has not kept silent about his disdain for President Donald Trump, and neither has his wallet.

Liberal filmmaker Steven Spielberg and his wife Kate Capshaw have contributed $3,500,000 collectively to liberal outside spending groups so far this cycle. Pacronym, which received $500,000 each from the celebrity duo, is the affiliated political action committee for Acronym, the company behind the Iowa Democratic Caucus app fiasco. The duo also contributed $1,000,000 collectively to the Senate Majority PAC, which works to help Democrats win control over the Senate.

They also gave to the Democrat super PAC Priorities USA Action, whose 501(c)(4) advocacy organization Priorities USA announced last year it was “launching an advertising campaign that would repackage local news into Democratic propaganda, in an attempt to assist the DNC with its 2020 presidential campaign.”
To put it in perspective, Spielberg gave $1 million to get Obama re-elected in 2012. I wonder what he is worried about? It's a real mystery.

I f*cking hate these people and their sanctimonious blathering.

Blogger Ominous Cowherd February 13, 2020 1:39 PM

This may be another case of the Cabal reminding the rich who gave them ``their'' fortunes, and telling them how it will be spent.

Spielberg is probably also terrified by the thousands of pedos being arrested every year. Sooner or later, one of them is going to mention his name...

I'm sure it has absolutely nothing to do with Heather O'Rourke's unfortunate demise.

Well. Spielberg is hoping that the law doesn't come down on Hollywood (prosecution of sexual harassers, pedophiles, and crooked business dealings.)

No doubt we'll be seeing an outpouring of outraged editorializing decrying the corrupting influence of outside money on the integrity of our elections.

Oh, it's only corrupting when those guys do it. Why wasn't I told?

Interesting too that Acronym is pro Buttigieg, against Bernie.
It looks like the DNC (who took over the counting at the IA caucuses), Facebook and CNN are in cahoots to sponsor "Mayor Pete", the Deep State candidate.
https://twitter.com/jimmy_dore/status/1228004909074616320

Interesting to see Hollywood backing them too.

Our host thinks that Bernie would lose against Trump. But I've difficulty understanding how, especially if Bernie choses someone like Tulsi as his veep. Like Trump, Bernie is a populist. The establishment fears him, no? (For instance, his proposal of erasing students debts would make it possible for young ex-studehts in couple to buy a house, to qualify for a mortgage, and then start a family. It's a populist measure, anti Wall Street : bailing out indebted kids, instead of banks.)

I'd bet that Spielberg (and CNN, Facebook, the DNC, who organizing in cahoots against populism, often with treasonous union bosses) is as afraid of a Bernie nomination as he is of a Trump second term.

2020 promises to be fascinating.

(I'm too off-topic, don't hesitate to delete this comment.)

Spielberg just has more shekels to blow than his Fellow Whites have. Not saying he doesn't have something personal to hide. But every one of them would blow millions, billions, trillions on subversion, if they had the money. Those few who do have the money are spending it that way.

I haven't heard anyone claiming that Soros is a pedo.

Bernie is a socialist and a jew. He's wildly unelectable. He'd actually lose the black vote to Trump.

I'd bet that Spielberg (and CNN, Facebook, the DNC, who organizing in cahoots against populism, often with treasonous union bosses) is as afraid of a Bernie nomination as he is of a Trump second term.

And you'd lose that bet. Spielberg would happily vote for Bernie. Here's a hint: what he's afraid of is not "populism". But it does start with the same letter....

Bernie is an old, Communist, gamma, useless, charisma vacuum. Sanders voters are excited by Socialism, not by Bernie. I will grant that he's the best that the Dems have on offer this election, but outside NYC, LA, SF and college towns, he's a complete non-competitor.

Blogger Dwayne Thundergrit February 13, 2020 3:33 PM

" . . .but outside NYC, LA, SF and college towns, he's a complete non-competitor."

With thirteen or fourteen States now awarding their electoral votes to whoever wins the national popular vote it seems to me it all comes down to turnout being large enough to overpower those same cities and college towns. That and who counts the votes.

Typical progtard logic: "The Electoral College is causing our "local voices" not to be heard, so we're giving all our local votes to whoever wins the national popular vote!"

I'm just waiting for all the "emergency" Tuesday night legislative sessions desperate to reverse these laws.

This years Oscar's viewership was at an all time low and will only continue to free fall. The optics of giving the likes of Roman Polanski and Harvey Weinstein standing ovations might not play so well if Trump decides to campaign in LA pledging to clean up the town's "degeneracy, disease, and filth." Comparisons are already being made to the 68 and 72 elections - if the Trump train continues to snowball, even CA might go red.
