Don't threaten, just do it

The President threatens to shut down Twitter:

Republicans feel that Social Media Platforms totally silence conservatives voices. We will strongly regulate, or close them down, before we can ever allow this to happen. We saw what they attempted to do, and failed, in 2016. We can’t let a more sophisticated version of that happen again. Just like we can’t let large scale Mail-In Ballots take root in our Country. It would be a free for all on cheating, forgery and the theft of Ballots. Whoever cheated the most would win. Likewise, Social Media. Clean up your act, NOW!!!!
- Donald J. Trump

The great weakness of the conservative Right is their inability to accept the necessity of action. Every single social media giant merits being shut down for their crimes and their ongoing war against the Constitution.

Because 1/4 of the 'conservatives' are God's chosen people or are directly/indirectly paid by them, and another 1/4 are also false and just playing a game for cash (SE Cupp being a recent example, but there are lots).

And the other 50% know that if you step out of line, the tame 50% join with the left to bury you.

But that doesn't mean that they are the arbiter's of what is and isn't capable of being said.
The large social media organizations are deciding what people think about.
Totally unacceptable social engineering.

Legacy media barely holds any sway anymore. Boomers may watch it, but the rest of us either read news online or watch segments on youtube or the news sites.
Why watch the nightly news when you can just catch snippets? Which is what made Twitter attractive in the first place. It was the ultimate aggregator of snippet information.

They are all traitors to the United States and should be tried as such, then given the option to face justice or renounce their citizenship and go live in their adopted countries.

Conspiracy to deprive Americans of their civil rights is a federal crime. It applies to private companies. The DOJ should have been on this years ago. twitter facebook and google are prime targets and provably guilty by their own words policies and actions.

It's a good bet. The only problem is the stake is always their lives. So it has to go sour only once- one channel gets nationalized, or Twitter gets seized, and that's the ball game.

They are private companies that are violating contract law left and right.

You can't have a free market without contract law being properly enforced.

I generally like Trump, but this has been a bit of a weakness of his. He says he'll do something and then doesn't. Just like the 'monitoring the situation' comment he made earlier. Sadly, I think he's getting some terrible advice from the likes of Kushner on such issues.

Blogger Snidely Whiplash May 27, 2020 5:17 PM

The US governement is the largest single source of revenue that Twitter has. The FBI, CIA, DIA, Bureau of Labor Statistics, NSA and probably other agencies all buy a direct "Firehose" feed of twitter. They don't have to. They could issue an "administrative subpoena" and seize the desired information by administrative fiat. Without government revenue, Twitter would be dead within weeks.

Apparently there's an EO incoming tomorrow. All that has been said is that it will address social media. Will take a wait and see attitude with this.

Honestly, Trump is the reason Twitter still exists. As much as he says he's going to do something, he knows the site will crumble the second he's off of the platform. Or at least that's my read on it.

I think the pattern is:
- President gets mad. Like anybody would really. Can't fault him for that. It's nice having a president mad at the same things, actually.
- President says he's thinking of doing something about it. Again it's nice to have a president that gets mad at the same things. Even better: he can actually do something about it. Sure better than what the rest of us have, somewhere between silent desperation and impotently seething in private.
- Jared Kushner's phone starts ringing off the literal hook. Queen Esther's... uh.. Ivanka, too.
- Jared checks and sees if this is good or bad for Jews.
- We wait 48 hours to see what happens.
- Nothing happens.
- Profit?

The media went from underselling the virus and calling anyone who was concerned about it a racist to overselling and calling everyone who doesn't agree to an indefinite lockdown a selfish prick who wants everyone to die in the blink of an eye. They will employ whichever narrative they think will serve their/their masters' interests. The only thing they won't employ is objective reporting of facts, i.e. the truth.

Covid19 was being absolutely ignored by the MSM while 4chan /pol was documenting the utter devastation it was causing in Wuhan.

Yep. And then when Trump started taking it seriously and holding regular pressers, the media ran with the "look how much bigger the flu numbers are" line and said he was exaggerating the danger for political gain like blocking travel. When he started talking about getting people back to work, that's when they switched to fearmongering. They've consistently taken the opposite position from him throughout, just as they do on everything.

The proper way to put the screws to companies is to mobilize the DOJ civil rights division as "corporate anal probe".

Any executive order is subject to litigation and injunction, but there process is the punishment and there is no appeal when the DOJ is putting you under a microscope.

Other options include the GOP taking the D.C. Circuit's "trump's twitter is a public forum" ruling and going full ham with the lawfare or invoking fara and forcing twitter to register as a foreign agent due to the saudi and chinese investments.

Trump's 'style' is made for doing business, where virtually all parties involved have an incentive to work together to make money. Politics is no such game.

He's old, he's fat, his brain is malnourished (as anyone's would be if you ate McDonald's as much as he does), he's solidly a Boomer, he's probably more senile than any here would like to admit, and his wittle Jew daughter and her Zionist husband run the show. He's got used-car salesman written all over him. A very successful one, but a salesman nonetheless.

The idea that you threaten people with severe consequences in order to get them to hop to and change their tune... that's not really some novel or genius idea or 'style' of leadership. It could also be called.... Persuasion 101, Parenting 101, Military Discipline 101.... it's just basic logic even THOTs apply to their white knight cuck boyfriends.

The GE has no clothes.

If the god-emperor wanted to do the bidding of Israel, we'd be increasing our occupation of the two countries that the Bushes invaded that are on either side of Iran, and then we'd be in a hot war in Syria, fighting Russia and conquering Iran from 3 sides, like Hillary was planning.

But, there's no question that Trump loves his Jews. But that doesn't mean he loves Israel more than America, (he wouldn't be building a wall and repatriating American industry). That would be Chuck Schumer, and all the other dual citizen traitors in congress.

When Trump was a grade school kid in the 1950s, everyone on his street in Queens had their flags flying on his birthday, which is on Flag Day. That has a huge impact on a child. You can't fake the way he hugs the flag. The Deep State hates him for his love of country. (And nobody ever wonders aloud it he loves America like they did with Barry Hussein and his husband.)

One other thing, I don't think Trump agrees with his son-in-law that much, either. But he keeps him close by, like he does with Fauci, to keep an eye on him, and use him where he can.

About the Swampies left over; and our people always yelling about how Prez Trump should have done a Friday Night Massacre and chucked 'em all First Day! Pardon Flynn and Stone years ago! Declas EVERYthing years ago! Release Weiner's laptop completely years ago! And: Lock her UP!

The whole "you should've fired them all years ago" thing is dumb. IF the God Emperor had stopped, say, the Mueller hoax in the beginning -- NO ONE in America would now know just how many dirty cops are/were in place in "our" govt! No one would be clamoring for declassifying and producing PROOF of what has gone on!

I actually 3/4+ believe Gen Flynn AGREED from the outset to be Trump's sacrificial lamb to 'out' soooo many internal enemies. (Roger Stone too.) And, to carry the metaphor farther; GOD will intervene providing a fitting sacrifice at the RIGHT moment.

How many folks (back before) could EVER believe there could be such a corrupt judge and a Dem-lib-activist jury foreman (Stone case)? Or an actual federal judge trying to act as prosecutor once the dirt came out on the feds' attempt to destroy Flynn?

"All enemies foreign AND DOMESTIC"!!!

All the whining and angst -- and I've done a ton of it -- over "Why doesn't TGE DO anything?" could very well be watching his ever-so-careful maneuvering to help the public awaken. Q has often written that the public would shut down emotionally and intellectually if it all came out in one lump sum. Instead, they've been black-pilled: drop by drop, bit by bit, Epstein suicide by Seth Rich murder, gun-running through Benghazi, Shifty by Nadl-ass....

Mention of classified 'proof' followed by that 'proof' massively redacted, followed by that proof lightly; redacted, followed by UNredacted... And because of showing the 'gun in the first act'; EVERYONE is watching the rest of the play!

Trump doesn't do what he wants to do until he is pushed to do it by popular demand. He doesn't get too far in front of the public he's leading.

He persevered on the border wall because it was wildly popular from the beginning, because people were shouting in anger at every delay. He didn't shut down immigration until most people were angry because he wasn't doing it fast enough. The virus gave him the popular support to take some big steps.

If we want Trump to do the things he wants to do, we have to show him that they are popular, that they are widely supported. He doesn't get too far in front of the public he's leading, because a good leader doesn't go so far ahead that the followers get lost.

Trump doesn't push his ideas through and hope they become popular, he makes them popular and lets us push them through. We don't hold Trump's feet to the fire to get him to do things he doesn't want to do, we hold his feet to the fire to help him do the things he does want to do.
