It was already good, but with the introduction of vampire court politics and external subversion, this is a must-read. Commerce, religion, government, military dynamics, and geopolitical intrigue with vampires? I can only imagine where this is going! Excellent work.

Very good. I hope you guys do more than 4 after the contest. I also hope you do a print, or at digital comic, version when it's done.
Varney the Vampyre was the first pulp comic vampire, and almost everyone has forgotten him. I don't believe he has ever had a movie or modern comic or even a significant book with him playing a significant role. Kim Newman may have him in the Anno Dracula books, but certainly not as prominently as this.

Sorry if it is nitpicky to mention, but the line "Not an open war, your highness." looks like the speech bubble is pointing to the wrong character. It disrupted the flow for me.
