What else are they lying about, Seth?

Seth Rogen belatedly discovers that there were people living in Palestine before the Jews arrived:
I also think that as a Jewish person... I was fed a huge amount of lies about Israel my entire life,” he said. “You know, they never tell you, that oh by the way, there were people there.”
It's a bit ironic, considering that the information is right there on Wikipedia. In the 1931 census of Palestine - which, by the way, has been the proper name for the region since the Romans merged its province of Judea with the province of Syria to form Syria Palaestina in 135 Anno Domini - Jews made up 18 percent of the population since there were 174,610 Jewish Palestinians and 794,658 non-Jewish Palestinians.

That was a considerably increase from their population just 11 years before, when the British government published its Interim Report on the Civil Administration of Palestine
There are now in the whole of Palestine hardly 700,000 people, a population much less than that of the province of Gallilee alone in the time of Christ. Of these 235,000 live in the larger towns, 465,000 in the smaller towns and villages. Four-fifths of the whole population are Moslems. A small proportion of these are Bedouin Arabs; the remainder, although they speak Arabic and are termed Arabs, are largely of mixed race. Some 77,000 of the population are Christians, in large majority belonging to the Orthodox Church, and speaking Arabic. The minority are members of the Latin or of the Uniate Greek Catholic Church, or—a small number—are Protestants. The Jewish element of the population numbers 76,000. Almost all have entered Palestine during the last 40 years. Prior to 1850 there were in the country only a handful of Jews. In the following 30 years a few hundreds came to Palestine. Most of them were animated by religious motives; they came to pray and to die in the Holy Land, and to be buried in its soil. After the persecutions in Russia forty years ago, the movement of the Jews to Palestine assumed larger proportions.
Does this demographic history negate Israel's right to exist by virtue of its right of conquest? Of course not, anymore than the right of the United States to exist is negated by the conquest and dispossession of the American Indian tribes. But any time a group of people feel it is necessary to lie about their own history, it naturally calls into question both a) their motivations and b) their veracity concerning other historical matters.

"You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."

Also, Seth Rogen is about to have his pervy social media posts exposed by his "friends and allies". As a lesson to any other high profile JINO who speaks truthfully.

As a Jew, even the Hollywood variety, he's surely heard of the Old Testament, whatever they call it. So he thought all that stuff happened there, temples and wars and all, and then....everyone just left so it was empty when Jews started moving there in the 20th century? The British conquest of Palestine must have been *super* easy with no one defending it.

Blogger Shimshon July 30, 2020 11:34 AM

Didn't Seth's wife have the hots for Cernovich some years back? Why yes, she did.

There were people there when we conquered the land the first time. Then they called it Canaan.

The Interim Report on the Civil Administration of Palestine predates the creation of the Kingdom of Transjordan, what we call today Jordan. That means the population you note is for the entire land of the modern state of Israel plus modern Jordan, and perhaps other territory. The vast majority of Jews were in Israel, while 350,000 Muslims were on the other side of the river.

That population differential doesn't look so stark, when that is considered.

Since the British stripped off the eastern part of Palestine from the mandate after that report, it would have been correct at the time to refer to the area they call Palestine by a different name...like Judah. Or Israel.

Seth Rogen was fed lies, undoubtedly. As was I. Though I didn't grow up in a Canadian Jewish community, mendacity is a normal part of our lives.

There are a great many Founding Myths abroad in my country. However, I'd have to say piercing the myths of WWII caused more of a change in my outlook. The founding myths of Israel stretch back before WWII, if course, but that story is very intimately tied up in the aftermath of Great War II.

This is something Seth may or may not wish to look into.

Story 07 of mine. I have a Viennese Greek to German philological dictionary from circa 1891. I went through the trouble of finding Palestine because of this blog and it is listed as the land between Egypt and Syria (inhabited by Palestinians). Guess what's missing from that text. Point being this was canonical for people who study the Greek world from the German world.

Anyway, kudos to Seth for being candid and curt. I pray for him many years of good health.

My Zionist Christian Dad would often repeat that Jewish lie. It was empty and barren until the Jews came along and made it bloom because they are God's chosen.
His grandfather literally emigrated from Palestine after the family had lived there for many generations. A district was even NAMED after the family. But he still believed that lie.

@13- I think the Official Line (Lie) is that the people who happened to occupy land now owned by the State of Israel were not Palestinians. As in, they did not constitute a nation. They were rather just...guys. Like the temporary occupants of an international airport.

When their existence is acknowledged, I should add. Otherwise, we don't talk about them.

Popular culture used to be more explicit on the subject. For instance, the main villains of Exodus are the British, but Palestinians are featured too. Moshe Dayan used to be well-known, but I doubt one in ten Americans could correctly identify him today.

Israel's story now is told from the Six-Day War on, at least where I live.

Yeah. Part of the conflict between the Byzantines and the Latins during the First Crusade was that the Byzantines only wanted help securing their borders, but the Latins wanted to conquer Jerusalem to make way for their pilgrams. The Byzantines considered Jerusalem a shithole and wanted nothing to do with it.

You are correct. I have heard many times that no wrong was done in displacing Palestinians because they didn't have a Palestinian state anyway. When I am presented with that reasoning, I ask why then would they ever take issue with European nations displacing stateless Jews over the millennia. The reaction is priceless.

I'm attending a Canadian university online to finally get my degree in History (my favorite subject by far). This year, the university is offering no fewer than three history courses on anti-Semitism. Three. 'Jews in Film' (whose course description starts out with the assertion that "The Jewish presence in American filmmaking has long been the obsession of hate-mongers"), Antisemitism in Historical Context, and The Holocaust.

I'm pretty much going to have to take the first one (since they are offering a limited selection of online courses even in the Era of COVID), so that should be interesting. I wonder if I'm allowed to bring up the various 'Steins', 'Bergs' and 'Roths' in Hollywood and their...personal pecadillos, or if I'll get branded a hatemonger by week 2. I've already had run-ins with one professor and a T.A. because of my 'unapproved' opinions; I'm sure this will be fun.

You should read the Old Testament again, God annulled that promise after Israel/Judah literally forgot his commandments and dedicated themselves to false gods, sacrificed their children, etc. Josiah tried to right the ship but it was too late to appease God, so off they went to Babylon.

'I will stretch out over Jerusalem the measuring line used against Samaria and the plumb line used against the house of Ahab, and I will wipe out Jerusalem as one wipes out a bowl—wiping it and turning it upside down. So I will forsake the remnant of My inheritance and deliver them into the hands of their enemies. And they will become plunder and spoil to all their enemies, because they have done evil in My sight and have provoked Me to anger from the day their fathers came out of Egypt until this day.' - 2 Kings 21:13-15

On their return, they immediately began crafting the foundations of the racial religion we now know as Judaism under the leadership of Ezra that Christ not only rebuked, but called them out as serving Satan in doing so.

Based on the 1920 reckoning, arguably nobody currently in the region has an ancestral claim to the land. Can any of the current groups vying for power there be said to derive from the 700,000 or so people scattered about the region at the time in any meaningful way?

Blogger Groffin July 30, 2020 2:35 PM

“ Does this demographic history negate Israel's right to exist by virtue of its right of conquest?”
It kinda does, because the entire Zionist ideology in built on a foundation of “We didn’t conquer it, God said we had to live here, and no one else does.”
The fact that a wealthy and, shall we say, “boldly proclaimed” American Jew was ignorant of the fact other people have ancestral ties to that land says it all. The Jews hate the idea that they have to get rough and dirty fir their stuff like the beastly goyim, and their entire civilization for the last half-century has been a practice in denial that they didn’t just roll into to an empty plain and make a city on the hill.
In my more reactionary days, I’d say glass the capital building and gift the Palestinians some hi-tech weaponry. But today I’d be satisfied with a statement from old Benny along the lines of “We Jews have been rightfully shunned by God, are home is secure through murder, not divine providence, and we have to live with that.”
Also an agreement to stop trying to expand for political capital, and that any Jew not having made Aaliyah yet is free game to their hosts.

"God says the Jews own that land"

God gave the land to the Israelites.

The modern Jews are not Israelites neither by religion, race, name, nor language.

They do not practice the religion of Abraham and Moses but they do follow the "Tradition of the Elders" which was rebuked by Christ and is codified in their Satanic Babylonian Talmud, an instruction manual for circumventing God's Commandments.

They are a race of Canaanite-Edomite-Khazarian mongrels (confirmed by DNA studies) unrelated to the line Abraham.

Modern Jews were only started calling themselves Jews since the 18th Century to confuse themselves with the Judeans that were spoken of in the Bible. Judean is a geographical appellation like New Yorker or Californian. Christ, by the way, was Galilean.

Hebrew was a dead language even in the time of Christ and was only picked up by the Rabbinist in 19th Century.

Blogger Unknown July 30, 2020 2:42 PM

I recs reading that the Jewish settlers settled in lannd that was uninhabited. The Jews actually bought the land they settled on from the legal owners. The areas that had a majority of Arabs were to become a Palestinian State. That was the Partition plans. The Arabs became displaced because they rejected the Partition plans and went to war. And most Arabs who.lived in Palestine don't have deep roots there.

A Jew is making those claims in the name of God. The only time we have heard from God was through his only son. And what reason did the Jews have for killing an innocent man, Gods only son? What reason to kill? Because he told the world God had rejected the Jews as unworthy, undeserving and unfit? You must now submit to god and accept the teachings of Christ, or face eternal damnation. The choice is yours.

The Bible in the Book of Esther and Nehemiah calls the people Jews. So Jews have been calling themselves Jews since the time if the Babylinian exile.

If Jesus is the Mesiah then he is a desendant of Judah. And didn't and his family came from Bethlehem, which was in Judea. And doesn't the Bible refer to him as the king of the Jews?

You are letting the word "Jew" confuse you. The land of Israel belongs to the Jews that did not rebel against God and murder His Son. It belongs to the Jews that acknowledge and obey the Messiah. The promises of Israel belong to Palestinian Christians.
The so-called Jews occupying Palestine, the the extent that the are actually descended from biblical Jews, are the descendants of the Jews that rejected the covenant, rejected the Messiah, and reject the covenant of God.

But the tenants said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’ So they took him and killed him, and threw him out of the vineyard. What then will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others.

Blogger Rattlesnake_Kid July 30, 2020 5:31 PM

Snidely is correct. Further, Judaism has a lot less to do in practice with the religion of the Biblical Israelites than people think. The fact that Jews as a nation are conflated with the religion of the Old Testament causes people to believe that the Old Testament espouses Judaism, which it does not. Judaism begins with the belief that when Moses received the Commandments on Mount Sinai, a group of elders who stayed at the bottom of the mountain were secretly given the "full" list of Commandments from God, which they passed on as the "oral Torah". This was the religion of the Pharisees and Saducees that Christ blast, and which would go on to be codified as the Talmud.

Karaite Jews make a very good point that there is no possibility the "oral Torah" was passed on from the time of Moses all the way until it was codified centuries after Christ, as the books of Kings is very explicit in detailing how the Jews forgot the Commandments so thoroughly that they didn't even know they had until they found them abandoned in an unused temple in ill-repair. That's when King Josiah really went into overdrive trying to set things right, having found out how far astray and against God they had gone. So the religion of Judaism took root either during the times of Israel/Judah's absolute corruption, or afterwards when they were taken to Babylon. Judaism's connection to King David and Moses is really only a deceptive thread, they are not connected by faith.

I don't think the Khazar line of thought matters in the slightest, and is actually dangerous for many. Christ wasn't vague in the slightest on our Heavenly Father's position on blood and faith. While I'm sure there is a lot of deception regarding blood, it is not the issue that matters. It's a red herring that faithless men fall for and, failing to understand the war being waged, they commit themselves to a watered down mimicry of the Jews they detest thinking they must "fight fire with fire". This line of reasoning is why the Nazi larpers and muh Odins are so ineffectual and lacking in substance, and I have no doubt it's why the Nazis didn't just lose, but nearly got their people annihilated. Turns out when you decide to fight in Satan's arena, you lose.

The tradition is that everyone ead taught the orak Torah, not just the elders.

And the passage in Chronucles says they found ebook of "The law." That means they knew what it was. They got agitated since the book was opened to a negative prophecy.

And the laws in the Talmud are based on very careful close readings of the text. For example, if an seemingly superfluous word is found ot is assumed that it is teaching a law. If two passages are juxtaposed, it is assumed that there is a connection. If a similar word is used in two passages, it is assumed that it is telling use there is a connection. Nothing is made up.

I don't know why we all can't just accept the biblical truth that anyone claiming to be a descendant of Abraham through Jacob by whatever means and rejects Jesus Christ as their Messiah is anti-Christ and of their father the Devil. Blogger Sargent.matrim July 30, 2020 9:46 PM

I define it as a distinct nation, a people. I think the Palestinians do qualify, because they tell us now that they are a distinct nation. New nations form in the collapse of Empire, and we see that all over the place in Middle East after the fall of the Ottoman Empire, and the history of that people in the region is a deep and long one, and having a reason to fight for their existence has likely been the catalyst for them to rally around their identity.

There are also hints of that sort of thing happening within nations. For example in Qld and New South Wales, we have a rivalry, and a different identity. Given enough time (centuries), and enough of a reason, different nations might form. But for now we are all Aussies. So just because the Arabs in Palestine once considered themselves Arabs, does not mean they didn't see themselves as different to Arabs in greater Jordan, or Saudi Arabia. We can't always pin point the precise date they become their own people. But they tell us now they are a people, with a deep and abiding history in the land. I think that is the most important thing.

Blogger Canadian Warlord July 31, 2020 12:44 AM

Ultimately, Seth Rogan here is perpetuating the myth that the west needs to always focus on Israel / Palestine. Instead we need to collectively drop this issue, it's unfortunate that people lost their homes but it happens all the time and the forging of nations is never a pretty thing.

Perhaps Israel's greatest crime is not appearing in the 19th century when that kind of activity was all the rage.

What about the slaughter of innocents in Yemen that (until recently) had been going on for 8 years? The Saudis were bombing hospitals, school buses, using modern fighter jets and US satellite surveillance against basically penniless camel jockeys. The media silence on that speaks volumes.

The Middle East features all manners of ethnic and religious strife, it's not easy to categorize it in terms of "nations." The Iran / Iraq war in the 80s had more total deaths than the entire Israel / Palestine conflict (including the pre-1948 ethnic cleansing and mass murder), chemical weapon horrors, children running into minefields, and just may have contributed to the financing of the "Islamobomb" through the western "oops we let the bomb out again" intelligence cutout A. Q. Kahn, for Pakistan. Certainly the 'largest arms deal in human history' (history of over-inflated dollars), $250 billion of F-15s to Saudi Arabia, is for the ever present Persian / Arab tension.

What did Said Abourish say? Something like, 'Palestinians die at the hands of the Israelis and at the feet of other Arabs.'

Blogger Scuzzaman July 31, 2020 1:44 AM

No. God said if you stick to the deal you and your descendants will own the land forever.

Then He said if you muff the deal you and your descendants will be scattered throughout the world.

Now, pay attention: since the Jews were scattered throughout the world, did they keep the deal or muff the deal?

Bonus question: would the California Supreme Court consider it unconscionable to try and claim the benefits of the deal by killing the other party to the deal?

>> And the laws in the Talmud are based on very careful close readings of the text. For example, if an seemingly superfluous word is found ot is assumed that it is teaching a law. If two passages are juxtaposed, it is assumed that there is a connection. If a similar word is used in two passages, it is assumed that it is telling use there is a connection. Nothing is made up.

Humans have a capacity to see patterns where none actually exist. Roll some true dice, or draw cards from a deck, reinserting each card and reshuffling between draws, and present the list of drawn cards to someone, and they will find and show you patterns, even though no pattern exists.

This is how you get people committing rampant evil, flying straight in the face of God's teachings from the very beginning, and believing that they are following the commandments of God.

It's also the roots of the self-righteous, ignorant assholery that is SJW-ism.
