Junior Classics Vols. 1-3

ATTENTION JUNIOR CLASSICS BACKERS

As Volumes 1, 2, and 3 are being prepared for shipment out to the hardcover and digital backers the final week of November, it is now time to confirm your current shipping address on Indiegogo. Please go to the project page on Indiegogo and check to confirm that the shipping address you have provided is current. If you have not provided your current shipping address, this is the time to do it.

This is a draft image of the cover for Volume 1: Fairy Tales and Fables. Each volume features original cover and spine images, illustrated in a style that is an homage to the 1958 edition. For those who are not already backers, preorders for the first three royal octavo editions will be available at Arkhaven later this week.

UPDATE: Please use the "contact information" on Indiegogo approach to provide your current address. Because no shipping address was required from the beginning, it is not possible for some backers to add one now. So, it will have to do be done manually. If you cannot change your shipping address in the Indiegogo system, then please send your current shipping address THROUGH INDIEGOGO by sending a message to the campaign owner so that your backer number will be attached to it. Do NOT send your address via email, or post it in the comments here, or post it in your Indiegogo profile, or through any other mechanism.

These are the correct steps to follow after logging into your Indiegogo account:

  1. Main Menu
  2. My Contributions
  3. Underneath 'Perks' select 'View details'
  4. Look under Campaigns on the right hand tab and select 'Contact'
  5. Fill out the message form
  6. Include Contribution ID and current shipping address.

Shipping information appears to still be locked on my end here. I have contributed to campaigns before so I don't think I've gone full retard here.

Blogger FisherOfMen November 14, 2020 9:11 AM

I'm sad to say that I've been working with computers since 1984, but I cannot locate where on the Indiegogo page I would go to double-check my shipping address. Is someone willing to help me figure out where the #girlswhocode put that link???

Blogger sykes.1 November 14, 2020 9:18 AM

Will they be available for purchase to the general public?

Blogger Karen took the Kids November 14, 2020 9:40 AM

https://support.indiegogo.com/hc/en-us/articles/212528078-How-do-I-update-my-shipping-address-

Here's a straightforward explanation of updating the address. Like the update from Vox suggests, many people are having difficulty with the process but maybe check here first to see if you have the option to edit rather than flooding the campaigns inbox with the same problem.

Blogger Stilicho November 14, 2020 9:41 AM

Shipping info locked

Blogger VD November 14, 2020 9:44 AM

Yes, they will be available for purchase just like any of our regular books, starting with Vols 1-3 in December.

Blogger VD November 14, 2020 9:45 AM

On your indiegogo “view profile” page:
1) go to contributions
2) find junior classics
3) click view details under perk column
4) update shipping address at bottom of page

It will not work if you did not originally enter a shipping address. We're waiting to hear back from IGG what to do about that. If necessary, we'll go manual, but we'd prefer to avoid that if possible.

Blogger FisherOfMen November 14, 2020 10:01 AM

Thanks for the info, Vox. Looks like I'm one of the poor bastards who didn't originally enter a shipping address (even though I remember doing it). Will watch for info on what to do!

Blogger Gregory the Tall November 14, 2020 10:09 AM

I just entered my shipping address, but it looks as if I had not done it before.

Blogger pyrrhus November 14, 2020 10:11 AM

I'm sure that I did enter a shipping address, but don't see it on the page...What then?

Blogger lynnjynh9315 November 14, 2020 10:30 AM

Doesn't look like I have that option....

Blogger VD November 14, 2020 10:34 AM

complex litigation hype train - stronger or weaker than our god emperor's chances of being president?

Nonexistent. Patreon already withdrew it weeks ago. It looks like the court made an administrative error and failed to notice.

Blogger VD November 14, 2020 10:35 AM

I just entered my shipping address, but it looks as if I had not done it before.

How did you do it then?

Blogger MJ November 14, 2020 10:45 AM

Something is messed up on Indiegogo's end. I'm 100% sure I entered a shipping address initially and now nothing is displaying. Will stay tuned for more information.

Blogger vmax71 November 14, 2020 10:53 AM

This is the case with me. I was not able to check the shipping address because it did not give me the option to do so.

I placed the address in the area where it says My story for the time being.

And similarly to Post #14, I clearly remember placing an address and now am not seeing one... Just for your guys information

Blogger 7916 November 14, 2020 11:03 AM

Based off of the support page, it reads that if fulfilled then it's locked, and advises contacting the campaign owner.

Blogger dtungsten November 14, 2020 11:09 AM

I'm not seeing shipping info. I don't remember if I entered it in the first place, so will sit tight for more info.

Blogger vmax71 November 14, 2020 11:13 AM

Looks like VD, once you locked the page, no one can check the shipping address...which you already know. This is what the indegogo site is saying

Blogger VD November 14, 2020 11:20 AM

What do you mean by "locked page"? The perks are neither locked nor fulfilled.

Blogger Edjamacator November 14, 2020 11:20 AM

Stupid question, but could you "unlock" the campaign for a few days to allow for address updating? I have no address listed because my perk is digital, so not totally sure if I need to update it, but I see the same message about not being able to edit if the campaign is locked.

Blogger Attila is my bro November 14, 2020 11:29 AM

I also have no option to enter address. It says "Shipping Information" and nothing more. No buttons, no form fields. I don't remember if I entered shipping info initially or even if I had the option to do it.

Blogger preapprehension November 14, 2020 11:32 AM

It doesn't look locked (for me), at the top of the page it has:

Status: CONTRIBUTION PLACED
Your payment has been processed successfully. You can edit your shipping address (if applicable) until the campaigner updates the status to "Locked" to prepare for fulfillment.

I would expect "CONTRIBUTION PLACED" to change to "LOCKED" if it's locked. As others have said, it looks like something is messed up on indiegogo's end. Let's wait for them to respond to VD.

Blogger vmax71 November 14, 2020 11:35 AM

I followed the advice of Post #4 and cut and pasted that exact same link. The link gave instructions on how to check and change shipping address for your contribution. It stated that it you are unable to do THIS IS WHAT IT SAID:

If you don't see the Edit Shipping Address button, this means that either this perk doesn't require shipping or that the campaign owner has marked this contribution as "Locked" or "Fulfilled." If either of those appear as the status on the contribution details page, we recommend you contact the campaign owner if you need to make any changes to your shipping details.

Blogger thomasblair November 14, 2020 11:36 AM

From Indiegogo FAQ on changing address:

"If you don't see the Edit Shipping Address button, this means that either this perk doesn't require shipping or that the campaign owner has marked this contribution as "Locked" or "Fulfilled." If either of those appear as the status on the contribution details page, we recommend you contact the campaign owner if you need to make any changes to your shipping details."

Blogger dtungsten November 14, 2020 12:15 PM

@vmax71 I placed the address in the area where it says My story for the time being.

I think that's your public profile, and you should remove that ASAP.

Blogger sammibandit November 14, 2020 12:18 PM

I just shot them an email. Hopefully they do the data entry on their end.

I went to
- Profile
- then at the top: Edit your profile and settings
- then came a page "basic info" where I was able to enter my address and save it

Blogger Karen took the Kids November 14, 2020 12:55 PM

You do have the ability to enter a postcode in your personal information section.

Blogger Karen took the Kids November 14, 2020 1:19 PM

Regarding the most recent update, there is no option in the 'Basic Info' for shipping address for me.
Only an option for postal code which I've inserted. Will this suffice for a shipping address?

Blogger Rek. November 14, 2020 1:19 PM

Adding a shipping address via basic info editing doesn't work for me. I can only add a country, city and postal code.

Blogger Billy November 14, 2020 1:36 PM

Does anyone remember the Box Tops for Education gimmick? How about a Scalps for Scholars discount on the Junior Classics? I haven’t killed any terrorists or election riggers. Asking for a friend.

Blogger Bibliotheca Servare November 14, 2020 1:36 PM

The "basic information" thing on my profile only has lines for "country", "city", and "postal code". Not sure what to do.

Same, hold tight.

Same here.

Blogger sammibandit November 14, 2020 2:32 PM

There's 70+ addresses with my post code so I don't think that would work. I'm in the same predicament and waiting on Indiegogo to reply to me.

Recommend putting your full name in first name.
Use last name for shipping address.
And add last four to your zip code to increase accuracy: 99999-1111

Blogger 1Fury2@ November 14, 2020 2:41 PM

Put your entire name in first name.
Put street address or po box ( mail, not home) in last name.
It will publish the mail address as last name publicly, so dont use home. Use work or anything other than home. Bc doxing.
Add last 4 digits to zip for xxxxx-yyyy for accuracy.

Blogger NewTunesForOldLogos November 14, 2020 2:41 PM

From the FAQ when the campaign started:
I don't see a place to put my address.
Don't worry about it. It will take months to produce the 10 volumes and we know that during that time some backers will change their addresses. We will contact every backer to obtain or confirm a current shipping address in the weeks before we commence shipping the complete sets. All we need now is an active email address.

So nobody put in a shipping address, because it wasn’t an option.

Blogger Original H November 14, 2020 2:42 PM

I get the same thing as @33 and @35. The Edit button is missing on the Contribution page. Sent a message to support.

Blogger PeopleMakerBear November 14, 2020 2:44 PM

This might be why some people are not able to add their shipping address(this was found on Indiegogo's "How do I update my shipping address?" page):

If you don't see the Edit Shipping Address button, this means that either this perk doesn't require shipping or that the campaign owner has marked this contribution as "Locked" or "Fulfilled." If either of those appear as the status on the contribution details page, we recommend you contact the campaign owner if you need to make any changes to your shipping details.

Blogger Silent Draco November 14, 2020 2:51 PM

No street address on "Basic Information", but this may also be a public page. Waiting on Indiegogo to fix software and unlock on their end.

Blogger Jeff November 14, 2020 2:59 PM

OK, people, let's review:

- No one is able to enter a proper shipping address (no street line)
- Everyone is having the same issue
- Instructions are being provided that are not solving the issue

The logical thing here is to stop adding "me tooooo" to the thread and let Vox and any/all of his assorted minions work out the issue and provide an update. Vox is not sitting alone in a warehouse, address labeler in one hand, silver goblet of SJW blood in the other, waiting for us all to provide our shipping addresses so he can send us our books...so we can all chill a little bit and wait for a solution.

It's Saturday. Go outside. Rake some leaves. Play with your kids. Ridicule a liberal until they run home crying. You know...Saturday stuff.

Blogger Chief_Tuscaloosa November 14, 2020 3:11 PM

I found the problem for me (could be others in same boat): I did not have a country selected when I set up my IndieGogo account, I just left it blank.
There is a note in IndieGogo's FAQ about being unable to change your country yourself and the campaign owner must do so.

FROM INDIEGOGO'S FAQ AT: https://support.indiegogo.com/hc/en-us/articles/212528078-How-do-I-update-my-shipping-address-

"Shipping to a Different Country than the one you entered on your Transaction?
If you need to change the shipping address to a different country than the one you entered during your contribution, you will not be able to change it as described above. Shipping costs vary from country to country and are set by the individual campaign owner. As such, you'll need to work with the individual campaign owners to alert them of your new shipping address, as well as work out any changes to the cost of shipping.
You can contact the owner of the campaign(s) you contributed to and let them know of the change, via Indiegogo."

TO: SDL
How do you prefer we contact you regarding need to change country from null to USA (or whichever country applies to the buyer)?

Blogger George November 14, 2020 3:18 PM

I have gotten it to sort of work by putting United Stated in Country, Then putting Street address, City and State in the City field. Leaving the State field empty (Filling it in overwrites the street address with the City). And putting Zip in the Zip code field.

Blogger Matthew Baker November 14, 2020 3:24 PM

The same for me. Close but no cigar.

Blogger keyinora November 14, 2020 3:57 PM

Same, going to reach out to support to see how I can get my Address added.

Blogger phil November 14, 2020 3:58 PM

We were never able to enter an address in the first place. Redacted Press commented on the Indiegogo page that backers would be contacted to provide or confirm shipping address when the books would be ready to ship.

Blogger Gregory the Tall November 14, 2020 4:06 PM

sorry, my mistake, I cannot enter the street address either

Blogger Gregory the Tall November 14, 2020 4:08 PM

How will the books be sent? A parcel service might ask for a phone number to contact before they deliver or if nobody's home.

Blogger Mauldication Bear November 14, 2020 4:18 PM

Same. I've submitted a ticket like many others.

Blogger Redbeard November 14, 2020 5:45 PM

How the hell did indiegogo deliver other campaigns with physical goods without an address field on user profiles???

Blogger Edjamacator November 14, 2020 6:03 PM

Isn't your profile public? Why would you want to put anything on there? If it is, they should have a separate "account" section for street addresses and the like.

Blogger Rek. November 14, 2020 6:05 PM

It's called improving user experience.

Blogger New Atlantis Lost November 14, 2020 7:20 PM

I do not recommend following the above instructions. That settings page is intended for changing what is visible on your public profile. I filled it out, giving nothing more specific than my city, in hopes it would unlock the option to add a shipping address on the "details" page of my contribution to no avail. Submitting a ticket now as well. I also recall Redacted stating they will contact all contributors to confirm address... This may have been before over 1,900 people decided to crush, though.

Blogger VD November 14, 2020 9:52 PM

Redacted Press commented on the Indiegogo page that backers would be contacted to provide or confirm shipping address when the books would be ready to ship.

You will be if necessary, but as I wrote in the original post, if we have to do this manually, it will take longer and there is a greater chance of errors. Obviously we didn't know the Indiegogo system was not reliably capable of changing addresses.

Blogger Hijodelamadre November 14, 2020 10:13 PM

On other Indiegogo campaigns (Zammy hardcover for example) I do see my shipping address with an Edit button. That isn't there for the Junior Classics campaign though. Can't see original address entered or any related option.

Blogger Bibliotheca Servare November 14, 2020 11:57 PM

Yeah, @Hijodelamadre I got the Zammy book too, so indiegogo has my address already... Hadn't thought of that. Weird glitch.

Blogger MidnightSun November 15, 2020 8:14 AM

There has to be an easier way. As there was no space for "street address" in the link, I put it in the "City" box as it was the only place it would fit! For privacy reasons, should I or should I not do this? Thanks for your help in this matter.

Blogger VD November 15, 2020 8:38 AM

Do not post any information in your profile. If you have put address information there, please remove it.

Blogger Karen took the Kids November 15, 2020 9:40 AM

Done, thanks for the info. For anyone interested, these are the steps.
-Main Menu
-My Contributions
-Underneath 'Perks' select 'View details'
-Find Redacted Press on the right hand tab and select 'Contact'
-Fill out the message form
- I included Contribution ID and Shipping Address.

Blogger Ominous Cowherd November 15, 2020 10:48 AM

If you cannot change your shipping address in the Indiegogo system, then please send your current shipping address THROUGH INDIEGOGO by sending a message to the campaign owner so that your backer number will be attached to it.
Message sent via indigoogoo, thanks.

Going totally off topic, anyone here using Pinephone64 as a phone?

Blogger preapprehension November 15, 2020 10:50 AM

Indiegogo replied to my support request:

Thanks for reaching out!

It looks like the campaign owner did not require a shipping address when they created the perk in their campaig page.

To clarify, each crowdfunding campaign is run by the individual campaigner who is solely in charge of distributing any perks offered. If you have any questions about your perk, shipping information etc. you will need to get in touch with the campaigner, directly.

Should I go ahead and do that, or do you want to try contacting them first as a campaign owner and see if there's a better remedy then potentially hundreds of people using manual contact to give shipping information?

Blogger Bibliotheca Servare November 15, 2020 11:18 AM

The only "contact" button is below "redacted press" not "junior classics".

My gut says that's what you meant, but you rarely misspeak/mistype so I wanted to ensure that was correct before I did it.

Blogger Karen took the Kids November 15, 2020 11:30 AM

VD posted another update up above. Just follow those steps because the campaign organisers are expecting you to contact them. Include Contribution ID and Shipping Address

Blogger apathetic November 15, 2020 11:40 AM
