Alt-Hero on Unz

Paul Kersey reviewed Alt-Hero and Alt-Hero:Q and asked me a few questions concerning them. As I am a big fan of the Unz Review, I made an exception to my usual policy concerning interviews and media:
My advice: if you want a good actioner, forget pozzed Hollywood and the New York publishing houses. Instead, try Vox Day’s Alt-Hero comic book series—an effective antidote to the modern entertainment industry’s anti-white, anti-male egalitarian poison.

Day, whose excellent website is a daily must-read, has just released Alt★Hero Volume One. Give it a read to see what Day and his collaborators are producing. One of them, by the way, is Chuck Dixon, the country’s top comic book writer and the co-creator of Bane. Dixon is writing Alt★Hero: Q.

Even a glance at Alt★Hero Volume One suggests that Marvel President Kevin Fiege won’t consider it for the big screen. Here’s why:

The Global Justice Initiative, led by Captain Europa, is a group of superheroes dedicated to preserving the European Union and stamping out any European patriot or member of Génération Identitaire who attempts to light a fire for sovereignty from this tyrannical regime.

In the best of Volume One’s six issues, The War In Paris, the Global Justice Initiative employs Antifa, the shock troops of the state and ruling-class establishment, in a massive fight against French nationalists near the Eiffel Tower.

During the climactic battle, Captain Europa tells the resistance leader Durand: “You defend what does not exist! They [the refugees] have the same right to be here as you. They are the new France!”

As the battle rages, Durand reminds Captain Europa that France has been occupied before, that the Germans thought they’d won too.

Captain Europa replies: “What is German? Now we are all Europeans and we are the future of all humanity!”

Day, who is a devout Christian, even worked in Lord of the Rings.

“I never sought this,” a resistance leader says to a woman member of the nationalist cause. “I never wanted this” he says while perusing her library … then stopping at LOTR.

“They neither request nor require your assent,” she replies. “And those who have not swords can still die upon them.”

Alt-Hero impressed me so much I asked Vox Day to answer a few questions about the series and his leadership role in the Dissident Right.
Read the whole thing there. I very much doubt my answers to his questions will be a surprise to any of the readers here, but they may help you understand why the mainstream media never ran the various interviews it did with me back when I was still willing to speak to them.

And, as always, I underline the fact that I am not a leader of anything or anyone except the VFM, the Dread Ilk, and the ELoE. And, of course, GamerGate. But then, who isn't?

AH:Q #2: NOT DEAD ENOUGH

Alt★Hero: Q #2: NOT DEAD ENOUGH

After federal agent Roland Dane survives the successful assassination of the U.S. Secretary of State in Peru, he makes his way back to the United States in secret with the help of a mysterious organization opposed to the global establishment. But when a famous film star is reported dead just hours after the agent visits his house in the Hollywood Hills, Dane realizes that the reach of the evil that is hunting for him extends further than he had ever imagined.

Arkhaven Comics has assembled a first-rate production team to create the Alt★Hero: Q series, which explores the incredible QAnon phenomenon that is sweeping the planet. Set in the superhero world of Alt★Hero, Alt★Hero: Q is an astonishing action tale of unflinching everyday heroes taking down corruption and evil on a global scale.

The CBZ file contains high-quality 2048 x 1316 images. Kindle format is 1280 x 800. AH:Q #2 is now available at Arkhaven Comics. Available soon on Amazon. AH:Q backers, please check your email.

Diversity & Comics reviews Alt-Hero Volume One

It's a fair and detailed review of the six issues collected. I disagree, of course, with the idea that comics must be relentless BIF! - SOCK! - POW! action, as I see no problem with what is described here as "the talking head problem", or as we novelists refer to it, dialogue and character development. And while I understand that not everyone is interested in current events, I am, and it would be very strange indeed if a fictional battle between globalists and nationalists did not bear some resemblances to the real-world version.

Indeed, as some have noted, the events taking place in the Alt-Hero world have even been observed to have anticipated events taking place in the real one. I also found it interesting that D&C so strongly preferred the US-based story to the Europe-based one, as it's been my vague impression that a majority of AH fans tend to prefer the latter.

But regardless, I appreciate the review, which is one of the first to look at the entire volume one omnibus.

Alt-Hero Volume 1

A backer requests a discussion thread:
Can we start a thread on the Alt-Hero Volume 1 Omnibus? Got mine in the mail.
They have gone out to US backers and we anticipate they will go out to UK/Europe/ROW next week. Discuss amongst yourselves.

AH vol. 1 on BIC

Vox Day announced Alt-Hero Volume 1 is now available in both hardcover and paperback.

This first volume is written by Vox Day with art by Cliff Cosmic and Richard Bonk. It collects the first six issues of Alt-Hero. Not only does it collect the first six issues of Alt-Hero, but it will also contain bonus material in the form of character illustrations, a number of which have not been seen before. The first volume is 168 pages in total.

Vox gave us a sneak peek at one of those never before seen character illustrations. Take a look.

To the right are character illustrations for Candle and Cloud, two of the UN superheroes from The War in Paris. You can also see what the cover image for the backers-edition hardcover looks like at Bounding Into Comics.

BIC also helpfully alerts us to the way in which Marvel and the Devil Mouse are continuing to methodically destroy every last vestige of Stan Lee's legacy.
British comedian and recently announced Ms. Marvel showrunner Bisha K. Ali appears to have mysteriously deleted 5,000 tweets and locked her numerous social media accounts prior to Disney’s official announcement.

Ali’s social media purge was discovered following the D23 Expo announcement of her involvement in the Ms. Marvel television series, as fans flocked to social media to learn more about the relatively unknown comedian whose IMDB page lists a total of 9 credits. However, upon attempting to access her various social media accounts, fans discovered that her pages had been hidden from the public: her Twitter , Instagram, and Facebook accounts, along with her personal webpage, were set to private.

While Ali has not publicly given a reason for this attempt to hide her internet presence from the public, fans noted that Ali had deleted a total of 5,268 tweets less than a month prior to Disney’s announcement.

It is currently unknown what the contents of her deleted tweets were or what prompted the mass deletion of tweets, but Google search results and a handful of archived posts have led to speculation that Ali deleted the tweets due to her social justice-based progressive beliefs and views.
A TV show based on a Muslim superhero comic that no one reads created by a British SJW that no one knows. Sounds good to me! Snicker-snack....

The dispute has been resolved

The Alt-Hero:Q dispute with Indiegogo has been resolved.  If you were a campaign supporter of Alt-Hero:Q on Indiegogo, please contact me via email with AHQ in the subject as we need your help with a few outstanding issues.

In other Alt-Hero news, the first omnibus will be going out to backers next week.

Please note that I will not be divulging any details about the resolution during this process, so don't ask. Let's just get it done with the same speed and efficiency with which we completed the second campaign.

Chuck Dixon's Avalon #4

Chuck Dixon's Avalon #4: Hit Charade

The streets of Avalon are a hard place, even for superheroes. But while King Ace’s new employers at the SPC are busy trying to track down the mysterious female vigilante who is assassinating politicians in broad daylight, Fazer’s new friends are helping him escape from the high-tech security cells meant to hold even the strongest superhumans. Fazer is more than happy to get free of his electroshock collar and out of prison, until he learns to his dismay that his new friends may be even more cruel and ruthless than the SPC.

And to make matters worse, the very worst of them appears to harbor ambitions that have led him into the lair of the most powerful gang leader in Avalon.

Chuck Dixon is the most prolific comic book writer in history. Set in the world of Alt★Hero, CHUCK DIXON’S AVALON is the legend’s newest creation. Chuck Dixon's Avalon #4: Hit Charade is now available in CBZ and Kindle formats at Arkhaven Comics. Kindle edition also available at Amazon should you care to Look Inside.

Speaking of Alt-Hero, we are very close to shipping out the Volume 1 omnibuses that collect AH 1-6. If you are a backer of either the Volume 1 paperback or the hardcover and your address has changed since October 2017, please email me with VOL1 in the subject line. Include both your previous address and your new address, as well as your backer number. This is in reference to the original campaign, NOT the AH:Q campaign. Please do this even if you think you emailed me previously; better safe than sorry.

AH:Q #1 now available

Arkhaven Comics is very pleased to announce that the digital edition of Alt★Hero:Q issue #1 Where We Go One is now available in CBZ and Kindle formats.

AH:Q backers should check your email, as we have sent out emails with download links to both formats to all the backers. Please note that these were only sent out to AH:Q backers, not backers of the original ALT-HERO campaign.

If you are an AH:Q backer who did not receive an email, please check your spam trap and your social media trap on Gmail before contacting us. If you still cannot find it, then please email us at books -at- castaliahouse -dot- com and we will add your email to the mailing list. Please note, however, that if we add your email to the list and discover that it is already there, then the problem is on your end which means there is nothing we can do about it. We would also suggest whitelisting the @castaliahouse.com address to increase the likelihood that you will receive the emails properly.

If you are not a backer, then you can purchase Alt★Hero:Q issue #1 Where We Go One for $2.99 at Arkhaven Comics, which includes both formats. The Kindle version should also be available on Amazon later today. Backers should note that we will not be sending out the individual print editions until all six issues are available in print and can be sent together.

UPDATE: You can now buy and review AH:Q #1 on Amazon.

Who could see it coming?

Fiction

Reality

I'm not sure if this is a slightly different perspective or if the artist simply omitted the Eiffel Tower due to its frequent appearance on other pages. But it's still rather striking, considering the timing. Of course, while I correctly anticipated the gendarmarie opposing the nationalists in The War in Paris, I thought Antifa was going to directly oppose the nationalists rather than try to co-opt their movement.

But I did get the yellow-and-black colors correct. Anyhow, we're very close to completing the first Alt-Hero omnibus. I'll make an announcement when it's ready so backers whose addresses have changed will have the opportunity to update them. In other Alt-Hero news, we expect AH:Q #1 to be completed this week.

Alt-Hero #6 in print

The sixth issue in the revolutionary Alt-Hero series is now available in print. Limited edition gold logo editions are now available from Castalia Direct.

Hell hath no fury like a superhero humiliated in public.

After the debacle at the Eiffel Tower, Captain Europa is determined to hunt down the renegade superhumans who embarrassed him in front of the world. And when Jean-Michel and Christian finally surface after spending weeks in hiding, the Global Justice Initiative is on their trail as fast as Shade can drive his supercar to Paris.

But there is a new player on the scene, a mysterious one with strange and surprising resources. And even a team of superheroes will find it hard to find a pair of young men inside the 300 kilometers of bone-encrusted tunnels that make up the Catacombs of Paris, especially when they don't want to be found.

Alt★Hero #6: The Dark Hunt

Alt★Hero #6: The Dark Hunt is now available at the Arkhaven store in CBZ and Kindle formats. It will be available on Amazon in Kindle format later today. It has already gone out to the backers; please note that the typo on page 18 has been fixed.

An angry Captain Europa is desperate to get revenge for his public humiliation at the Eiffel Tower. Unfortunately for him, Jean-Michel Durand and Christian Foucault are nowhere to be found! So when the two renegade superhumans suddenly show up without warning on the Paris Metro security cameras, the Global Justice Initiative leaps into action to try to catch them before they disappear again.

But there are few better places on Earth for outlaws to vanish than the massive graveyards located directly below the streets of the French capital.

The CBZ file contains high-quality 2048 x 1360 images. Kindle format is 1280 x 800. Alt★Hero #6: The Dark Hunt retails for $2.99.

UPDATE: on an unrelated note, A THRONE OF BONES is now available on Audible. All 31 hours 25 minutes of it. It's a pretty good deal if you're already a subscriber and only have to spend a monthly credit on it. And if you're not on Audible, you can get it directly from Arkhaven.

UPDATE: Alt★Hero #6: The Dark Hunt is now available in Kindle format on Amazon. If you've read it, I hope you'll consider reviewing it.

CDA #3 now in print

We are very pleased to announce that CHUCK DIXON'S AVALON #3: The Conscience of the King is now available in a standard-size gold logo print edition. Due to the higher cost of the standard size, the comic will now retail for $3.99, but we will continue to sell them for $2.99 on the Castalia Direct store nevertheless.

For collectors, please note that we will be producing a limited run of gold logo standard-size versions of issues #1 and #2 later this year. And, of course, we will be sending free corrected editions to the 209 people who unfortunately received the "silent" edition of issue #2.

While King Ace is in training with Big Simba and the Specials of the UN-SPC, his former partner-in-fighting-crime Fazer languishes in a prison designed especially for people with superhuman powers. Fazer is desperate to escape, but how can he get out when his jailers possess the technology required to block his unique abilities?

But Fazer isn't the only one feeling trapped, as King Ace quickly comes to learn that his new team isn't tasked with fighting crime in the city of Avalon, but rather, tracking down other people like him and Fazer. And he also discovers that signing on with the official forces of law and order means accepting restrictions on your ability to do what you think is right.

Chuck Dixon is the most prolific comic book writer in history. Set in the world of Alt★Hero, CHUCK DIXON'S AVALON is the legend's newest creation.

Oh, and one more thing. Alt-Hero backers should check their email tomorrow morning....

Bounding Into Comics has a preview of the forthcoming Alt-Hero #6. We expect to send it to backers this weekend, and for it to be available on the Arkhaven store in CBZ and Kindle format next week.

And yes, this also means that the first six-issue omnibus will be going out to backers next month. We have a lot of releases planned for March, including the first issue of Swan Knight Saga.

Check out the art for the first five pages there!

As you can see, the unexpected drama with Amazon did not even cause us to break our stride. Chuck Dixon's Avalon #3 is now available in high-resolution digital format from Arkhaven.

UPDATE: It is now available in Kindle format on Amazon as well. However, it is not available via Kindle Select.

Last chance

This is the final day of the Alt-Hero Q campaign, so if you're interested in getting on board, this is your last chance to do so.  Remember to turn off NoScript if you're placing an order! Thanks very much to all 1582 backers of the three components of the campaign; this has proven to be a more successful, and more significant, crowdfunding campaign than we had ever anticipated.

Arkhaven still has a long way to go before we can set the cruise control, but we are systematically putting the infrastructure in place for consistent long-term success and we really appreciate the way Arkhaven's backers are continuing to make that posssible.

In other news, QMAMD #4 and #5 are being completed, Swan Knight's Saga #1 is almost ready to go to the letterer, and the first Premium editions of Alt-Hero as well as the first Alt-Hero novel will be published in January.

And, of course, the complete Right Ho, Jeeves omnibus edition is now available in a beautiful 152-page paperback that includes all six individual issues.

UPDATE: A high-level back of AH:Q shares his thoughts about backing the original campaign at the digital edition level:
I had no idea it would be so good and really regret only supporting for digital editions. Since then, I have gone for all the editions on the Alt-Hero: Q, during the silent campaign

Two days left for AH:Q

We are rapidly approaching your last chance to take part in the epic, history-making crowdfunding campaign that is Alt-Hero: Q! The campaign is fully funded, the request for arbitration has been fired off, the opt-out backers' request for arbitration is in the works, as are the waiver backers' individual requests, and the AH:Q team is hard at work on finishing Issue #1 for release in January.

There are just two days left, so if you've been putting it off, do not do so any longer! Note that on a per-issue basis, this has been the most successful Arkhaven campaign by far, despite the various difficulties imposed upon us. While recent developments have not been as flashy as in the past, we have made significant structural steps forward, including the move to a much faster server that helps speed up our production process.

In other Alt-Hero news, the first novel in the Arkhaven universe, Alt-Hero: Covert by Jon Del Arroz, will also be released in January, first to the backers, and then to retail. A selection from the killer cover image, which will be colored by Arklight Studios, is below.

AH:Q Indiegogo update

The action is now underway. Opt-out backers who have not yet sent their information to litle32000 AT yahoo DOT com should do so today, as more than 100 backers will be submitting their class-action claim very soon. If you responded originally but did not hear back, be sure to check your spam/junk folder.

If you don't know if you opted out or not, then you didn't. That's not a problem, but since you waived your class-action rights as part of the Terms of Use, you'll have to enter your own claim on an independent basis. Doing so will cost $250, but the request for arbitration can be submitted anytime and we will explain the process after the holidays in the new year.

And, of course, if you wish to take part by backing the Alt-Hero: Q campaign, you can still do so for nine more days.

AH#5 Gold Logo now available

The gold logo edition of AH#5: London calling is now available for $2.99 from Arkhaven Direct. Please keep in mind that only the gold logos will be printed in the royal octavo size, as once we switch to the standard logo, we will also switch to the larger standard comic book size.

When London comes calling, death is knocking on the door.

The directors of the United Nations Superhuman Protection Council have learned the hard way that putting pressure on the families of the next-gen renegades is a game far too dangerous to play. But their newfound limitations does not mean they don't have other resources on which to call, resources that are every bit as dangerous as the superhumans they are hunting.

Alt★Hero is an exciting new line of superhero comics from Arkhaven Comics.

Don't forget that you can also back the Alt★Hero:Q 2.1 campaign in case you missed the two-day 2.0 campaign.

Alt★Hero: Q 2.1 is go!

Arkhaven Comics is pleased to announce that the Alt★Hero: Q 2.1 campaign is now live.

Alt★Hero: Q is an incendiary 150-page graphic novel in six parts that explores the mysterious phenomenon of QAnon and the war on global evil. The story is written by the legendary Chuck Dixon, who is backed by a first-rate professional art-and-production team.

Arkhaven has assembled a first-rate production team to create the Alt★Hero: Q graphic novel, which illustrates the incredible QAnon phenomenon that is sweeping the planet. Set in the world of Alt★Hero, Alt★Hero: Q is an astonishing action tale of unflinching heroes taking down corruption and evil on a global scale.

The Alt★Hero: Q Team

WRITER: The Legend Chuck Dixon
ILLUSTRATOR: Hélix Haze
COLORIST: Arklight Studios
PRODUCTION: Arkhaven Comics

If you missed the successful, but short-lived Alt★Hero: Q 2.0 campaign, you can now take part in its successor on the Arkhaven Comics site. All of the rewards are priced at the same levels as before, but if you wish to back at one of the higher levels that are not offered as part of the 2.1 campaign, please contact us via email.

Please note that some backers are likely to have trouble with their credit cards being accepted; if the system rejects your card, please contact your bank for details, arrange matters with them, then try again later. Given that this is not an American site, it's possible that the purchase will trigger flags that you don't realize are attached to your account. Please don't ask us about this, as we can already see failed attempts in the system and there is literally nothing we can do about them from this end. Once the campaign is over, we will get in contact with everyone to see what we can do to provide for those who are unable to get their cards working with the current system.

The crowdfunding engine we are presently using is far from optimal, but it is functional. You will have to enter the indicated amount manually as clicking on the rewards shown on the sidebar will not do anything. Despite the IGG-imposed complications, we never stopped moving forward on it, as this image from Issue #1 will serve to demonstrate.
