Allow me to reiterate

I do not watch videos. I will NEVER watch videos. So for the love of all that is Good and Beautiful and True, stop suggesting that I watch "just this one amazing video."

VD - I know you don't like videos but this is awesome.

First, I don't give a single fragment of a quantum of a damn what anyone else thinks is awesome. I am not asking for video reviews. I am not requesting recommendations. I am not inspired by whatever it is that inspires you. I do not care about whatever it is that happens to enlighten you.

Second, I do understand that most people do not share my antipathy for videos and podcasts. That's fine. I have no quarrel with their opinions and I am not offended that their preferences happen to differ from my own. If anyone wants to recommend a video or a podcast or a wax cylinder recording to others here, that is perfectly fine with me so long as they leave me out of it. I am very grateful that so many people so greatly appreciate and so staunchly support the videos being produced and published every day on UATV. Video is, without question, the dominant form of media today.

But what part of I DO NOT WATCH VIDEOS OR LISTEN TO PODCASTS is so hard for some of you to understand?

I. DO. NOT. WATCH. VIDEOS.

And I will never, ever, watch ANY video that is recommended to me no matter how many of you insist that because you are a Very Special Boy or Girl, I should ignore my preferences refined over four decades of informational intake because your one special video is the specialist special must-see inspirational series of moving pictures ever.

If you don't understand why I absolutely hate all video and auditory informational exchange, let me put it into terms you might understand. I read at around 1,200 words per minute with full comprehension. That's not an estimate or an exaggeration, as it has been repeatedly and reliably tested over a period of 34 years. I scan-read more than twice as fast as that when I'm reading casually to see if I'm interested in the subject or not. In contrast, videos and podcasts transmit information at around 150 words per minute on average.

And if you factor in the probability that whatever the person is saying in the video is something I already know in considerably more detail than is being addressed, then perhaps you can grasp that I view videos and podcasts as being considerably more akin to sadistic psychological torture than entertainment or inspiration.

An order or wishful thinking?

Hollywood does seem to feature an inordinately large number of deaths, which would presumably be the result of the Hollywood values possessed by the people who run it.
Harvey Weinstein said Jennifer Aniston 'should be killed' after he learned that the National Enquirer was planning to run a story accusing him of groping her, court documents have revealed.

A trove of emails and other communications between Weinstein and his team offer a disturbing look at his reaction to the avalanche of sexual misconduct allegations that sparked his downfall in the fall of 2017.

The correspondence is detailed in documents unsealed by the Manhattan Supreme Court ahead of Weinstein's sentencing on Wednesday, where he faces up to 29 years in prison after being convicted of rape and sexual assault late last month.

In one email thread, a spokeswoman for the movie mogul forwarded a note from the Enquirer about a report that Weinstein had groped Aniston at a premiere event for their movie Derailed in 2005.

Weinstein responded to the note by writing: 'Jen Aniston should be killed.'

Other emails feature the desperate pleas Weinstein sent to some two dozen influential people, including billionaires Jeff Bezos and Michael Bloomberg, asking for them to help 'resurrect' his crumbling career and reputation.
On the other hand, Jennifer Aniston was neither killed nor attacked so far as we know. But it's informative to learn to whom Weinstein was appealing.

UPDATE: Weinstein should be in prison until he dies of old age... or is Epsteined.
Harvey Weinstein was sentenced in a Manhattan criminal courtroom Wednesday to 23 years for sexually assaulting a former production assistant and raping an aspiring actress -- a landmark sentencing in the #MeToo era.

Is Spielberg next?

Now that Weinstein has been convicted, it appears the #MeToo movement has another major Hollywood figure in its sights. CDAN offers a possible explanation for why Spielberg suddenly and unexpectedly bailed on the latest Indiana Jones movie:
This permanent A+ list mostly movie director is bailing on a project because of news he is trying to keep under wraps. Apparently there are recordings of him interviewing young child actors and asking them wholly inappropriate questions. The recordings are from about two decades ago and are from either one or two movies filmed at around the same time. He was only the director on one of them but helped cast both.
Yet God hath placed by the side of each a man’s own Guardian Spirit, who is charged to watch over him—a Guardian who sleeps not nor is deceived…. So when you have shut the doors and made a darkness within, remember never to say that you are alone; for you are not alone, but God is within, and your Guardian Spirit, and what light do they need to behold what you do?

Google builds health database

Google is doing for health what Facebook did for privacy:
Lawyers, medical professionals and tech experts have reacted with a mixture of horror and fury after it emerged that Google has been secretly acquiring sensitive medical data on millions of people without their knowledge or consent.

Questions were immediately raised around the ethics of the data-gathering operation - code-named Project Nightingale - as well as the security of patient data after the program was first reported on Monday.

Others called for an immediate change to privacy laws after Google and Ascension, the healthcare organization it has partnered with, boasted that the scheme is completely legal....

The data includes names, dates of birth, lab results, doctor diagnoses and hospitalization records on 'tens of millions of patients', according to the Wall Street Journal, which first exposed the story. Neither doctors nor patients were informed that the data-gathering was taking place or given the chance to opt-out.
This promises to going to go so amazingly and absurdly wrong that it won't surprise me if there are calls for the US government to declare war on Google and nuke its offices before it's too late. Remember, good people don't have to remind themselves "don't be evil".

The new Dershowitz

Keep in mind this guy is not only representing Eric Ciaramella, fake whistleblower #1, but also Mark Waid of Marvel in Richard Meyer's tortious interference lawsuit against him.
The whistle blower's attorney @MarkSZaidEsq has scrubbed the link from his website that went to his YouTube channel.

Here's the archive showing it was there: http://archive.is/zzikn

Now it's gone:  https://markzaid.com/zaid/

Here's the YouTube channel: http://YouTube.com/MarkSZaidEsq

Strange, is it not, that all these nominally elite attorneys have such a strong interest in, shall we say, the younger kind. It's almost as if some of the strange stories about how these losers obtain their positions are true....

UPDATE: Oh, FFS.... Waid "bragged about his connections to John Podesta." You don't say.

Respect should be a given

If you find the comments here to be sub-standard, you really need to read the YouTube comments to put them in perspective:
Owen banned me for saying something was "pretty funny" when I was laughing my ass off in a public library, after being a fan for a year and sharing essentially my life story with him and desperately asking him to buy me a bus ticket from Colorado to Texas. He isn't a leader, he's an entertainer, and I'm a free-thinking millennial with a different vernacular, I don't fit in, and he doesn't want that kind of responsibility. He used to ban people for saying lol because it looks like a person drowning so I shouldn't have taken it too personally, but I did. I'm renouncing my American citizenship anyway, this country and its people have done nothing but oppress me and mock me and act like I'm lucky to even be a free man when that's to be expected. I'm not a criminal. No one needs me. I get it. I just want to be treated like a respectable dishwasher and get off the streets. There's no reason that I should have such a hard time demanding the smallest amount of respect. Respect shouldn't have to be earned, it's called etiquette, and lack of it should certainly lead to loss of respect. Respecting a fellow American, or Bear, or former Bear in this case should be a given, but it isn't. That's why I was banned.
To which I responded:

That is so sad and wrong! I will call Owen at once and DEMAND that you be unbanned from his channel at once. I will also ask him to build you a nice little house on his property with his own hands, constructed with wood from trees he has personally cut down, complete with your own goat to provide milk for your morning tea. No, don't thank me, it's really the least you deserve! I am so sorry that you had to experience such horror. Thank you for your service.

Run on the freaks, Republicans

Nothing better underlines the stupidity of the Republican Party like its failure to shore up its weakness with white women by aggressively campaigning against fake women competing against girls in sports. But I enjoyed the SJW doublethink in this article about the glorious, but irrelevant victories of the mentally deranged:
Transgender athletes are having a moment. At all levels of sport, they’re stepping onto the podium and into the headlines. New Zealand weightlifter Laurel Hubbard won two gold medals at the Pacific Games, and college senior CeCé Telfer became the NCAA Division II national champion in the 400-meter run. Another senior, June Eastwood, has been instrumental to her cross-country team’s success. At the high school level, Terry Miller won the girls’ 200-meter dash at Connecticut’s state open championship track meet....

For all the hand-wringing about transgender women ruining women’s sport, so far there’s little evidence of that happening. Although CeCé Telfer and June Eastwood garnered attention for their outstanding performances on women’s collegiate running teams, they are hardly the only transgender athletes in the NCAA. Helen Carroll is a LGBTQ sports advocate who worked on the NCAA transgender handbook. Through her advocacy work, she has interacted extensively with transgender athletes and she estimates there are somewhere in the neighborhood of 150 to 200 transgender athletes currently competing in NCAA sports. Most of them “you don’t hear a thing about,” she says, because their participation hasn’t caused controversy.
So, what is it? Are they stepping onto podiums or are they irrelevant? Either way, Republicans should be capturing the female outrage about being forced to compete with and be beaten by men pretending to be women by banning all XY vs XX athletic competition.

Cameras in the can

Apparently there are cameras in airplane bathrooms. What is wrong with these people?
A Southwest Airlines flight attendant says two pilots live streamed video from a hidden camera in a commercial airliner's lavatory to an iPad in the cockpit, a lawsuit says. The alleged incident happened February 27, 2017, while Renee Steinaker was working on Flight 1088 from Pittsburgh to Phoenix, according to the complaint that Steinaker and her husband, David Steinaker, filed against the airline and the pilots.

About two and a half hours into the flight, Capt. Terry Graham asked for a flight attendant to come to the cockpit so that he could leave to use the restroom, the complaint says. Airline policy requires that two crew members are in the cockpit at all times, the complaint says.

After Steinaker arrived and Graham left, Steinaker spotted an iPad in the plane's cockpit that appeared to be streaming live video of the pilot inside an airplane lavatory, the lawsuit said. When the flight attendant asked the co-pilot, Ryan Russell, if the iPad was streaming video from the lavatory, he said the camera was part of a "new security and top secret security measure that had been installed in the lavatories of all Southwest Airlines' 737-800 planes," the document alleges.
"Southwest does not place cameras in the lavatories of our aircraft." That's the official Southwest line and it might even be true. But even if it is true, that doesn't mean that someone else, such as a federal agency, doesn't put them there.

It is worse than you IMAGINE

You might look at the terrible events described in The Last Closet and thank your lucky stars that nothing like that has ever happened around you. And you might be wrong:
Dozens of predators, 100s of kids: Decades of trained stars and scorched lives at Children's Theatre.

Shortly after Children’s Theatre Company was founded in 1965, critics were calling it the greatest children’s troupe in the world. The extraordinary feats of its cast and crew, bright kids from across America, afforded the Twin Cities a reputation for artistic excellence.

The Minneapolis company was an insular institution with mysterious methods, helmed by the brilliant and volatile John Clark Donahue. He was also a predatory abuser of children. It was common knowledge that the boys in starring roles tended to be those who serviced Donahue sexually.

When Donahue was finally caught in 1984, Judge Charles Porter skewered the Twin Cities arts community for its complicity.

“‘Genius has to be given their idiosyncrasies, or genius has its funny side, and you have to forgive those sort of things. The theater would have collapsed if anything happened to John Clark Donahue, and the Twin Cities could not afford to have that happen.’ I have heard that so much,” Porter said at sentencing.

“Large family and company money, Dayton’s, Pillsbury, etc., supports the theater, and that they would not allow this to happen. The allegations would be squelched to protect their reputations.”

The judge understood that Donahue was just the spearhead of a larger deceit.

Underneath him were dozens of other staffers who sifted freely through the company’s turnstile of children. Some predators were friends Donahue hired to teach. Others were former students who’d been raped when they were very young, in an earlier decade, and raised in a boundaryless reality to become perpetrators in another.

But because many within the company worked to deflect probing questions from the outside world, the institutional nature of the abuse was hidden for decades. The company survived. It scoured its history.
My parents were patrons of the Children's Theatre and we attended every show there for years, including at the height of this period of rapacious abuse. Neither they nor I had any idea about any of this, of course; I knew nothing of it until Spacebunny brought my attention to it this weekend.

And it is an object lesson in understanding that the murky depths of evil may lurk considerably closer to you than you would ever assume.

SFWA member arrested for child porn

SFWA member and convicted child molester Ed Kramer has gotten himself in legal trouble again:
Former owner and co-founder of Dragon Con, Edward E. Kramer, was charged with possession of child pornography again. This comes after an investigation into Kramer et al for attempting to hack the court’s computers.

According to WSB-TV Atlanta, Kramer had a warrant issued against him on Monday, September 30th, 2019 for having multiple pictures of child pornography.

The warrant was issued after investigators began scouring Kramer’s computer and found that he and a private investigator, TJ Ward, attempted to hack into a county’s computers because another judge – Kathryn Schrader – suspected a prosecutor of monitoring her computer. Kramer, Ward, and Schrader were apparently all working together to hack into the county’s systems, but the trio’s plot was foiled when a wiretap and additional investigators began investigating Kramer, Ward, and Schrader, as detailed in a separate report by WSB-TV from back in mid-September.
Kramer's fellow SFWA members, including the current president, tried to pretend he wasn't a member the last time he was in the news, back in 2014. But, then as now, he was merely inactive, which meant that he hadn't paid his dues while he was in prison; he was still listed in the online member's directory.

To the best of my knowledge, he has still not been expelled from the organization, which has a long and sordid history of defending him.

Steve Bannon is bad news

I'd gradually reached the conclusion that Steve Bannon was not on the side of the good, the beautiful, and the true despite his presumed role in helping elect the God-Emperor. But now we may have an inkling that he was just as much Establishment as the GOPe figures with whom he regularly brawled:
The butler who managed Jeffrey Epstein’s posh Paris pad claims he waited on a rotation of famous faces including Prince Andrew, Bill and Melinda Gates, as well as Steve Bannon, according to a report.

The butler, who only identified himself as Gabriel, has come forward about the convicted pedophile’s celebrity guests during his 18-year career working at the $8 million pied-à-terre, FranceInfo reported.

“I served crowned heads, diplomats, businessmen and politicians,” he told the outlet.

Among the powerful guests he listed were former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and Prince Andrew, who would crash several nights at the apartment while Epstein was out of town, according to FranceInfo....

The butler also claimed his boss was still hosting famous guests at his Paris apartment last year. He said former White House chief strategist Bannon paid a visit in fall 2018. “I was even his driver in Paris,” Gabriel told his outlet.
In the autumn of 20-freaking-18 Bannon was still hanging out with Epstein? FFS, by 2018 even people who have absolutely nothing to do with money, power, or politics knew that Epstein was a damned pedo.

No wonder Trump didn't hesitate to kick him out.

They are coming for the geniuses

Jack Baruth addresses the ongoing cultural defenestration of Richard Stallman:
The idea of truly free software given to the world for humanitarian purposes would not exist without Stallman. He was the only person who ever had the thought. Which means it is more radical than calculus, heavier-than-air flight, the theory of relativity, or the atomic bomb. It took someone with Stallman’s particular blend of Promethean IQ and mentally handicapped social skills to push it all the way to reality. You live in Richard Stallman’s world, whether you like it or not. He has had more influence on how we communicate in 2019 than any other single human being currently living. Any sane society would consider him a national treasure of greater importance than Fort Knox, to be cherished and protected accordingly.

Naturally, our society has decided to crucify him. A young woman with an axe to grind has instigated a lynch mob through an astoundingly ill-conceived and illogical bit of emotionally dependent rhetoric:

There are so many things wrong with what Richard Stallman said I hardly know where to begin…

She totally can’t even!

There is nothing I have seen a man in tech do that a woman could not. What’s more, the woman would probably be less egotistical and more team-oriented about it.

This is how you know the author is a mental child. Any of us “could do” many things. I could have written any song, novel, or movie screenplay that has appeared between 1982 and now. Except I didn’t. The Egyptians could have invented the airplane and the laser and the K-cup coffee maker, but they didn’t. Only children deal in potential. Adults deal in reality.

Also, I hate to tell her this, and its embarrassing that I should be the one to lecture an MIT graduate on this, but teams are for normies, for neurotypicals, for trash people who can’t retain multiple levels of variable dereferencing in their heads while coding. Teams do not accomplish, and have never accomplished, anything of genuine intellectual value.

The history of scientific progress is a history of individuals. Yes, you need a “team” to actually assemble the atomic bomb or the Intel Itanium or a commercial software product. You don’t need a team to conceive it and do the mental heavy lifting. The effective IQ of a team is the same as the lowest IQ in the team; the productivity of the team is a minor percentage of the productivity you could get from its smartest member working alone. Every once in a while you will see one brilliant person be inspired by another brilliant person in the near vicinity. This happens once for every hundred million times a “team” crushes the abilities of its members.
Richard Stallman is, by all normal human standards, a complete lunatic. He also happens to be a genuine genius. And more to the point, by every sane human standard, Richard Stallman has done nothing wrong. While I think his postulations concerning possible defenses of Marvin Minsky's alleged behavior are both a) incorrect and b) irrelevant, there is nothing remotely questionable or surprising about his formulating and expressing them.

Can you even imagine Richard Stallman being courted and corrupted by Jeffrey Epstein? That not only stretches the bounds of credibility, it's got the potential to be a hilarious comedy sketch.

Epstein: Hey, Richard, do you like to party? I know some nice girls who would like to meet you.

Stallman: I would not be happy at a party. Especially not if it's raining. You have a big face. Do you have a parrot?

Epstein: Um, no....

Stallman: Go away! Go away now!

But this isn't a comedy sketch, it is today's ugly reality.

On September 16, 2019, Richard M. Stallman, founder and president of the Free Software Foundation, resigned as president and from its board of directors.

Exposing Epstein's allies

The Director of the MIT Media Lab and NYT board member resigns:
Dozens of rich and influential men surrounded Jeffrey Epstein. They knew that what they were doing was wrong. That's why they were so secretive about it.

Driving the news: In the aftermath of a blockbuster report from The New Yorker's Ronan Farrow — which details that MIT Media Lab's director Joi Ito flew to Epstein's private island twice and accepted more than $8 million of donations from him — Ito resigned on Saturday from MIT Media Lab, left his board seat with the New York Times Company, and resigned from the MacArthur Foundation.
  • Leon Black remains the chairman and CEO of private equity giant Apollo; he's also the chairman of the board of the Museum of Modern Art. Black donated $5.5 million to the Media Lab at Epstein's behest, on top of a $10 million donation that he made directly to Epstein's own foundation in 2015.
  • Bill Gates donated $2 million to the Media Lab in October 2014; Ito claimed at the time that the gift was "directed by Jeffrey Epstein". Gates asked that his name be kept out of any public discussion of the donation.
  • Reid Hoffman, the venture capitalist and founder of LinkedIn, hosted dinners for Epstein featuring the likes of Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg. He also sits on the jury of the Media Lab's Disobedience Award. (Epstein received an orb, which looks exactly like the Disobedience Award, for his service to the Lab.) When author and fellow juror Anand Giridharadas raised questions about the award's ties to Epstein, Hoffman was the man who slapped him down.
  • Outside the Media Lab there are many other names. The UK's Prince Andrew was close to Epstein both before and after Epstein's conviction, as was lawyer Alan Dershowitz. There are multiple connections between Epstein and Harvard, including a "special connection" with Lawrence Summers.
Naturally there are ties to Donald Trump and Bill Clinton, too.

Epstein's enablers flew on his jets and visited his island and did multi-million-dollar deals with him even after he was convicted and jailed on a charge of soliciting underage girls for prostitution. Now they are starting to be held to account for their complicity.

None of these men are giving straight answers to questions about their involvement with Epstein.
Except, of course, for Donald Trump, because unlike the others, he has nothing to hide.

NFL Coach of the Year

We're only one game - not one week, one game - into the NFL season and it's already clear that Mike Tomlin deserves to be named Coach of the Year for having dealt successfully with Antonio Brown for nine years. This may actually be a more impressive coaching feat than Bill Belichick's six Super Bowl victories, given that even a Super Bowl-winning coach like Jon Gruden couldn't keep him in check for nine weeks.
Antonio Brown asked the Raiders to release him in an Instagram post shared Saturday morning.

The request comes shortly after news broke that Oakland had fined Brown $215,073.53 on Friday night for conduct detrimental to the team on Sept. 4, which Raiders voided the $29.125 million worth of guaranteed money in his deal, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. In addition to fining Brown for conduct and voiding the guaranteed money in his contract, the Raiders reportedly sent Brown a letter stating that he no longer will be entitled to termination pay if they release him.
Antonio Brown actually makes Terrell Owens look reasonable in retrospect.

UPDATE: After the Raiders wiped out more than $29 million in guaranteed money under Brown’s contract with the team, Brown asked to be released. And the Raiders have released him.

UPDATE: Antonio Brown is now a New England Patriot.

Withdrawal is a bitch

Apparently Creepy Joe hadn't fed on the flesh of young Haitian children recently enough:
Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden's left eye filled up with blood while answering a question at CNN's climate town hall Wednesday night. Biden was answering a question about fracking when the blood became noticeable. He then turned to take a question about China's role in carbon emissions, and the blood was difficult to miss.
There is no way the DNC is going to permit him to be the nominee. Not when he might literally dissolve into a puddle of gore on national TV without even being staked.

Incest in the Congress

Minnesota's freshman congresswoman is not only a liar and a bigamist, she's also incestuous:
The scandal has pushed the incredible panoply of scandals we have covered in depth on Power Line into the background: the identity fraud, the marriage fraud, the immigration fraud, the tax fraud.

In the past three weeks I have circled back to interview sources whom I have found to be highly reliable in the Omar saga. They open a window onto the scandals from the perspective of Ahmed Hirsi, her long-time partner and the father of her three children. According to sources, Hirsi is telling friends:

• that he will not go to jail for Omar;

• that while Omar did indeed marry her brother (Ahmed Elmi) for fraudulent purposes, Hirsi did not know at the time that she had married Elmi;

• that Omar is threatening Hirsi he would be in trouble along with her if the truth were to come out;

• that Omar has asked him to state publicly that all is well with their marriage even though it is completely done and finished; and

• that in fact they are living apart and have been divorced under Islamic law (although they remain legally married).
This is the inevitable price of Scandicucking. I guarantee that the good people of the Minnesota DFL party are wondering how on Earth they found themselves in this extraordinarily embarrassing position. And it all traces back to their desperate need to be extra nice to the poor little dark people in order to prove how totally not-racist they are.

The only real question about the first cannibal to be elected to Congress is if he'll be representing Utah or Minnesota.

A predatory cult of perv-nerds

Ann Barnhardt exposes the real harm of the Society for Creative Anachronism:
The real harm of the SCA is more subtle than simply sexual abuse. It lures people in, as you say, who feel lonely and nerdy, who love books and history. One is encouraged to work and work for “the Dream,” whatever that is (“the dream” means living full-time in SCA character/camp. -AB), to work one’s fingers to the bone in the faint hope that one of the “Peers,” that is, fake nobility, will take notice and invite you to join their household. Most of these households are not led by sexual predators, but some are what are called “polyamorous,” that is, swingers. We were never invited to join the second group because we made it clear we weren’t interested, but one finally notices that the Christian members are never the “inner circle,” and seldom win the top awards. The real leaders and people in the know are very secretive, so we usually only hear about things second and third hand.

You realize that only people with no real family to speak of are in the inner circle; that seems to be a requirement, even more that being a swinger. Nobody who is in the elite group, and believe me, that is how they think of themselves, has any ties to family. Many people in the SCA report (this I have heard personally many times) that they were sexually abused as children, and they are the ones who will tell anyone who will listen that the SCA is their “real family.” That right there ought to be a red flag for a cult, but the SCA avoids that by not barring anyone from leaving. It is a clever cult, which operates by carrot dangling. I suppose most of us who join are high-IQ geeks who never fit in, so this works really well for a very long time for both progressive sorts and more conservative....

The sad thing is that it is the conservative members who would be most likely to bring children and family into the SCA, not realizing what they are getting into. Most members, even members for years, know very little about all this. I myself had no idea that Walter Breen (the husband of Marion Zimmer Bradley, who founded the SCA) was a convicted pedophile who spent years in prison until I read their daughter’s harrowing account.
The fact that this is a society of low-status losers who literally want to return to pre-civilized pagan non-civilization should have been the first clue that it was not a place for civilized Christians or their children.

Pervs and pedos in the UK

The seemingly inexplicable enthusiasm for the late Jimmy Savile on the part of the royals of the UK is beginning to make more sense with the Epstein revelations as well as a recently released FBI dossier on Lord Mountbatten, the viceroy of India:
Agents began compiling the file, which spans more than three decades, in February 1944, shortly after Mountbatten became supreme allied commander of southeast Asia. Following his appointment, the FBI interviewed Elizabeth de la Poer Beresford, Baroness Decies, about another matter, and she brought up Mountbatten, The Sunday Times reports.

The file reads: 'She states that in these circles Lord Louis Mountbatten and his wife are considered persons of extremely low morals. She stated that Lord Louis Mountbatten was known to be a homosexual with a perversion for young boys. In Lady Decies' opinion he is an unfit man to direct any sort of military operations because of this condition. She stated further that his wife Lady Mountbatten was considered equally erratic.'

The royal kept a large group of gay friends, including Noël Coward, Terence Rattigan, Ivor Novello and Tom Driberg, who reportedly referred to him as 'Mountbottom'.

Lownie's new book, to be published on Thursday, contains an interview with Anthony Daly, a rent boy to the rich and famous during the 1970s. Daly claims: 'Tom said Mountbatten had something of a fetish for uniforms — handsome young men in military uniforms (with high boots) and beautiful boys in school uniform.'
No wonder Princess Diana turned into such a lunatic after marrying into that family. And it's not exactly a mystery why Prince William seems to gravitate toward the relative normalcy of his in-laws.
