Another step closer

There is evidence connecting the White House to the IRS investigations after all.  But no proof that Obama knew about it or ordered it... yet:
The White House on Monday once again added to the list of people who knew about the IRS investigation into its targeting of conservative groups — saying White House chief of staff Denis McDonough had been informed about a month ago.

Press secretary Jay Carney said again that no one had told President Barack Obama ahead of the first news reports: not his top aide McDonough, nor his chief counsel Kathy Ruemmler, nor anyone from the Treasury Department.

Monday’s revelation amounts to the fifth iteration of the Obama administration’s account of events, after initially saying that the White House had first learned of the controversy from the press.
And the scandal grows....

Blogger Markku May 21, 2013 4:48 AM

Obama's job is just to do some lightworking for the plots of those who hold real power, when he happens to have time from all the golfing. There's no reason for him to know any of what's going on. People are always more convincing when they think they're telling the truth, or at least don't have compelling evidence that they're telling lies.

Obama is an uncle tom sitting on the white mans porch. Acting like hes in charge of the plantation. While the white man is away
No work is getting done. for the uncle tom doesn't know how to run a plantation.
The only thing the uncle tom knows how to do is squeal and point fingers at those that work. He likes to crack the whip.

Obama believes the people should be slaves to the state. There to stupid to have rights. It is to bad that so many in the news media and of the same color believes like he does. Slavery is good.

Again, talking about the investigations. This is still not going where it needs for major problems for the White House. It's still all focus on who knew of the investigations, not who knew of the underlying act (criminal act, probably).

It needs to be worked the other way, where the policy came from, not who knew about the investigation.

Its being worked that way as well. Yesterday there were stories about treasury and IRS employees saying, "We just do what we're told to do. we don't have the authority to make those decisions."

What I can't understand about 911 is: Where are the whistleblowers? Surely someone who put all the nanothermite in there has a conscience! Maybe they're all Jooos.

Anonymous allyn71 May 21, 2013 10:41 AM

The IRS and AP stuff is to try and cover Benghazi. You had a general and an admiral both preparing to send aid and both told to "stand down". When they disobeyed that order and were planning relief efforts, they were relieved of command. I read one report where Admiral Gaouette was relieved at gunpoint.

You have two flag officers that have pensions on the line so they have an incentive not to talk. That said, if CONgress was serious about this (which they are not) those two officers would be a good place to start. Benghazi has always been about running guns and the cover up has been to protect that. If Doherty and Woods would have followed the stand down order, that whole flash mob excuse might have worked.

At the end of the day, I think the Republicans are so afraid of launching impeachment proceedings that unless private journalists uncover this it is going no where. The establishment Republicans don't want to be seen as going after the darky and still remember the blowback they got from the blowjob. They don't want to go down that road again.

We need to understand that this IS NOT about Obama. It is about an agenda. An agenda that pre-dates Obama. Obama is nothing more than a continuation of Bush, Clinton, Bush, et cetera. AND… these people did not awake one morning, think up an agenda, and then decided they were going to be POTUS to implement their agenda. These people are chosen by the roots of the agenda. Remove Obama, and no matter who fills his place… the agenda will continue in one degree or another as it always has. Whether Obama slipped up on Benghazi, by design or mistake, is irrelevant. Benghazi was, and is, part of the agenda. The deliberate supply of arms to the Syrian rebels is not something that was half-cocked created under the noses of the State Dept., DoD, CIA, NSA, NSC, NGIA, NRO, I&A, INR, FBI, TFI… and whatever other black bag to secret to know org. To believe that this begins and stops with Obama and Hilary is ludicrous.

We are doing nothing more than hacking at the branches while the roots will continue to thrive and sprout new branches.

I am sure that many will feel the euphoria of seeing Obama fall. I know I will. But he is just a branch amongst many leaves on that branch. He is not the tree… and certainly, he not the root.

Ask Alice. She knows.

The point is that Benghazi is the most damaging of the scandals to these corrupt SOB's and if Woods and Doherty hadn't gotten involved there would be no scandal. No one would have looked past the prepared talking points. Nothing to see here just move along.

Don't think I ever mentioned that there is any redeeming value in our government. You are correct in that it is rotten. It is also immoral, godless, and corrupt. That doesn't change the fact that a full investigation of Benghazi would have the potential to take the mocha messiah down and they know it.

As everyone is probably aware, yesterday the news broke that Apple avoided tax on $44 billion of income, but there were no charges of illegality. This may offend the sensibilities of the Senate investigators who discovered this, but they have no business criticizing anyone for conducting business in a completely legal fashion.

This is a problem with the IRS regardless of who is in charge. They think they are above the law. They hire audit staff who are poorly socialized and think in black and white terms, no gray, they indoctrinate agents that everyone is cheating and motivate agents to figure out how they're doing it and catch every single one of them. It it doesn't work when they accuse you of going left illegally, they will accuse you of going right illegally. When you double that up with actual political intimidation, you have a complete mess.

Whatever institution is charged with separating the populace from their money has to be above suspicion or all hell will break out.

Writing well, especially in the area of instructions, requires skill. The people who wrote the tax code lacked fundamental skills in conveying information clearly. College level writing should be able to express the tax code in a more comprehensible form.

"Speaking at Ohio State University earlier this month, Barack Obama urged students to pay no attention to those paranoid types who "incessantly warn of government as nothing more than some separate, sinister entity." Oddly enough, in recent days the most compelling testimony for this view of government has come from the president himself, who insists with a straight face that he had no idea that the Internal Revenue Service had spent two years targeting his political enemies until he "learned about it from the same news reports that I think most people learned about this." Like you, all he knows is what he reads in the papers. Which is odd, because his Justice Department is bugging those same papers, so you'd think he'd at least get a bit of a heads-up. But no doubt the fact that he's wiretapping the Associated Press was also entirely unknown to him until he read about it in the Associated Press."

> I think it's just as likely that the lapdogs in government got their cues from Obama at the top, from his public statements and rhetoric, and went about implementing what was desired independently.

"What was desired". That sort of says it all, now doesn't it? Like we said, we know where the POLICY came from. Policy is not necessarily something which is written down.

PJ Media, The Hill, Hot Air, Washington Examiner, Gateway Pundit. Completely objective, no axe to grind (rolling of eyes).

Here, directly from Roger L. Simon, at the END of his piece "PJ Media recognizes this is largely hearsay, but the two diplomats sounded quite credible. One of them was in a position of responsibility in a dangerous area of Iraq in 2004."

So, as soon as these "trusted" sources start using "hearsay" as evidence, you may as well be HuffPo or DailyKos. Who's "truth" are people to believe, since it stems from the gristmill of the operatives of lefties and righties?

Obama and his henchmen have royally fucked up, no doubt about it. To the point that the United States is teetering on the brink of catastrophe? Ok, you SD +3ers, what are REASONABLE solutions? Go...

Reasonable solutions? As in ones that will be accepted by the people currently in charge and the people who voted for them?

There are none.

I agree. The point where such solutions might have been taken was in the past. Now we should just be entertained by the events that happen due to the choices that were actually taken.

So, piss and moan while laughing like little school girls while the shit hits the fan. Oops, poo was flung at me, I stink to high heaven, but I can't do anything about it. Thanks!

You can do something about the shit on your own person, most of the time. As to what, is to be determined as case-by-case basis. What you can't do anything about is that poo is being thrown in the first place.
