Troll Ban: Kilo Papa

In light of his epic performance on yesterday's homeschool thread, Kilo Papa, the atheist troll with the blasphemous Kirk Cameron fascination, is henceforth banned. And given that this is hardly an isolated example, I find it strange that anyone is still surprised that scientists have published papers supporting my hypothesis that a degree of neurally atypical autism is, at the very least, a potential causal factor in an individual's atheism.

Keep this atheist-in-action in mind the next time an atheist attempts to inform you that atheism is the default position of intelligent, rational people who are happy and socially well-adjusted. I'm not sure which I find more unsettling, the fact that there are people who believe this is their only shot at existence and yet choose to spend it this way, or the fact that there are almost certainly people out there who will genuinely feel that this was a superbly convincing defense of the public schools.

Ahh, the "godless agenda" of public schools. Yeah, that goddamn math, science, history, English, and even home economics!!!!! Arrrrrggghhh!!!! We just need to get Jeezus back into the educational system and everything will be all right!!!! Preach on, brother!!!!! Praise Jeezus, praise his holy fucking name!!!!!!

Ahh, yes, let's let's replace educated, trained professionals with untrained religious retards who think the Earth is 6000 years old, Noah had dinosaurs on his ark, a man lived in a fish, and global warming is make believe. Truly, I say unto you, religion is the position you take when stroke, injury, or stupidity have invaded your brain.

At least they have college degrees. And "two" is most likely the limit for the average Christian retard. Except when it comes to their Sarah Palin autographs. Then they extend to three.

Hey GG, so glad you could take time away from your gerbil experiments to comment. Actually, I learned my "awesome debate skills and impressive moral views" from your mother.......during breaks when she was stroking my balls and licking my cock. Thanks for asking, though!!!

5:03 PM
The idea that your filling your seven (get a fucking condom, idiot) children's heads with ''scripture" and logic is so pathetically preposterous as to be laughable!!! I hope that your children are able to eventually escape the brainwashed lunacy of religious belief that you are saturating their poor, indefensible brains with. You should be ashamed, you pathetic idiot.

5:07 PM
I wonder if you ever pull head out if your ass long enough to contemplate the asinine horse shit that seems to constantly stream from your pathetic excuse for a brain.

5:14 PM
Hey CG, (aka grandma) Thanks for taking time away from your vaginal rejuvenation pamphlet in order to comment. If you're the product of home schooling, then I feel sorry for your deluded, brainwashed children. Homeschooling, because what we need more of is Kirk Cameron's!!!!

5:33 PM
JDC, how long have you been out of your Bi-Polar medication? Did you perhaps have to concentrate on your Viagra meds instead?

"Poo flinging monkeys" Wow!! That was a real shot at you, Mangrove!

Stg58/Animal Mother. You are reeling from being an idiotic twit. Just in case you were confused.

Hi Patrikbc, How much time have you spent thinking about my "man pleaser" today? I thought I felt an extra tingle. It was so good of you to take time away from your gonorrhea treatments in order to comment.

The most effective rebuttal to all of this vulgar rhetoric came from Harsh: "kilo papa, if you are a product of public schools, I definitely am homeschooling mine."

Anyhow, while I dislike banning people, it has become clear that there are certain individuals who have literally nothing to offer the discourse despite being given every opportunity to demonstrate otherwise. So, I'm creating a new label, Troll Ban, which should help address any false charges that I am banning people because their arguments are too effective, and should also prove useful in identifying trolls if they show up under another name.

So, when a person is banned, I will collect their various comments into a single post like this so that the historical record of why they were banned will remain easily accessible to everyone in the future.

That's a good solution. And good riddance.

Do most of these atheists stop maturing?

Because apparently he thought he was being hilarious with humor that is essentially at the level of sixth grade boys.

Of course, being a public school product, I'd be shocked indeed if his cognitive functions were higher than a sixth grader.

I'm beginning to think such people are not "Trolls", or even autistic as such. I am pretty positive that they are paid shills, who are trying to use shaming and various other tactics to quiet dissent.

It just wouldn't do for TPTB to have free thinking individuals and families.

I am a public school rebel, used to walk out of my classes and just find somewhere, anywhere to hang out, would often sleep in and hitchhike to SKOOL/PRISON, drove my femNazi, assistant principal mother-Nag/Prison enforcer crazy....LOL

In college, I secured a DI Soccer Scholarship, went to Medical School and am now a surgeon.

My twin sons were home schooled until 3rd grade, I would have preferred they continue, but went Parochial after that, which I encouraged them to not take it too seriously, other than Latin. They have 3.98 GPA in Chemistry and 3.95 GPA in Economics at University and seem to be doing quite well, strapping 6'3", hockey players. Looking like Medical School and Law School is in their future. Thank God they didn't get my mother ....LOL

This is a very thoughtful and reasonable way to deal with the most horribly annoying and abusive trolls without losing the more entertaining ones or others who post rather passionate dissent with VD or the way of the ilk, whatever that might be at the time......hey there's a t-shirt/logo/title project for someone..... They are right here on the blog. Look them up. It was inspired by a post of PZ's called "I'm Mostly Normal". My post on the subject is repeated in TIA and the study was at Boston University. I believe there was a second one at another university that confirmed the first study's findings.

For some reason, some of the most obnoxious gnus on the interwebz employ "papa" in their nicks. Maybe it's an obsession with a non-existent father figure?

Anonymous Ferd October 28, 2013 1:35 PM

Ahhh,,the lovely thing about Idiotas like KP is they are self-limiting. They will never reproduce their genes as they are too busy being offensive, vulgar and saving-the-planet. And, i am not sure what they are saving-the-planet for as their extreme views would produce an awful mess that God would have to cinderize.

Blogger Giraffe October 28, 2013 1:37 PM

Is Phony going to end up on the troll ban list? I kinda hope not. Someone who makes accusations of vulgarity, yet ends most of his posts calling our host a "Dipshit" is just priceless, As is his accusations of a "mancrush". It's good for a laugh once in awhile.

Anonymous Anonymous October 28, 2013 1:44 PM

I'd add that Phony simply drops in, takes a dump, and then leaves. He is repetitive and boring, but at least he only takes one to three shits per post, and doesn't overstay his welcome like someone who has asperger's with a touch of IBS.

Blogger Dystopic October 28, 2013 1:47 PM

What did this individual plan to gain from this troll-fail? I've never really understood the nature of trolling. What possible benefit can a man extract from hopping onto a forum that is ideologically opposed to his views, and then acting like a complete jackwagon?

Anonymous Anonymous October 28, 2013 1:49 PM

Half the problem is some just to refuse to not feed them, I mean come on, there is no reason to even bother responding and it clutters up the comment box.

I was going to say something else on the homeschooling thread but when I saw it had devolved into Atheist troll whack-a-mole (for the thousandth time) I didn’t bother.

Don’t respond to the aspie half-wits and most of them will go away.

That's a good theory, but on a blog this size, there are always going to be some who either enjoy the engagement or simply can't help themselves.

Anonymous Spoos in August October 28, 2013 1:53 PM

I'd think the best argument against public schools is that it's getting more and more difficult to keep your kids segregated from the screaming, ineducable yahoos. You used to be able to do that in the Honors/AP track, but even those classes are being packed with plodders these days because schools are often paid for getting more students to take the AP exams.

The other thing, of course, is that I expect various troubled city school systems will metastasize into the counties soon. Moving to a suburban whitopia will soon not be enough to save one's kids from schools overrun by gangs and drug-dealers.

This is probably already done, but it occurs to me that children from multiple families could be homeschooled at the same time, which might offer certain efficiencies of scale without compromising the things that make homeschooling preferable to the public schools.

Incidentally, the other long-term benefit of homeschooling would be a de-emphasis on GPA (which is worthless, since almost every smart kid comes out of high school with a 4.0 anyways) and a return to test scores, which favor men over women. It'd be a decent way of backing away from the precipice in terms of university education. While I'm sure many in the Ilk wouldn't mind seeing academia dismantled, I think we really only need to restore market forces as a corrective, and the institutions will lose most if not all of the bureaucracy that is dragging them down.

Seriously, absent easy student loan money, who's going to pay for some fat hairy lesbian to shout at them about gender equality for four years? Let the humanities departments shrink as creditors become unwilling to lend a hundred grand to some twit for a B.A. in English. Let the NIH grants be reduced, and the emphasis returned to practical applications in science.

One of the hardest things for me about public school right now is the way they completely transform the Bill of Rights/Constitution until they are nothing but meaningless words written on paper. Kids are learning they have no rights but instead exist at the will of the government. The implications are scary.

Also, speaking of sci/fi, I just discovered our school is using a pre-cog/pre-crime metric right out of Minority Report. That's where they put these factors in their computer and it spits out a report about how "at risk" or" chemically inbound" a child is likely to be....someday in the future. It's been going on for years, but I guess it's now standard practice for all kids. What bothers me is how it becomes a self fullfilling prophecy. Kids are pretty good at meeting your expectations.

It didn't even rise to that level. With the amount of hostility on display combined with the fixation on filth, kp's spewings were more reminiscent of someone who's possessed. He came across as a rather disturbed individual.

Kids who are smarter, more talented, don't fit the mold of average, complacent, unquestioning, usually get assigned these numbers and are watched very carefully, searched constantly, sent to extra classes tor anti-bullying, drug prevention, diversity training, etc. Also letters are sent home to parents, kind of like last year when the First Lady decided it was her job to meassure kid's BMI.

One big problem with bureaucracy is that they often get it wrong, especially when it involves computers. You wind up with a string bean kid labeled "too fat" and a brilliant one labeled "at risk for failure". It really makes me angry.

Anonymous ThirdMonkey October 28, 2013 2:41 PM

Arguing with the KP and its kind is like reaching into a public toilet and trying to pick up a turd from the clean end. It's easiest to just walk away, but sometimes the AWCA Janitor has to flush it to keep the kiddies from playing with it.

All they talk about all day is how stupid everyone is. And of course they repeat every tired Leftist cliche, lie and fantasy ever excreted by the traitors destroying our civilization. They repeat these things word for word as if they have a string on their back. Pull it and here the prerecorded message. These guys are undeniably intelligent, but they use their intelligence for the sole purpose of rationalizing lies, fantasies and false assumptions. And yes, they are amazing coders, but they think that their knowledge of coding languages makes them morally-superior, promethean heroes. Ugh.

It is sad to think of the number of intelligent comments that have been displaced over the years by these trolls - once they arrive, a huge portion of the remainder of the thread becomes about giving these spoiled children the attention that they crave.

As soon as tad/kilo/golf pro/beezle/phoencian whoever starts spewing, people drop their intelligent conversation threads and go spend the rest of the thread in a back and forth with the troll.

The purpose of a troll is to disrupt sow chaos - to remove the focus of the target blog from what it was originally doing and derail intelligent conversation. It seems that on this blog their efforts succeed more often than not.

It is notable that KP assumes have seven children is a consequence of my ignorance.

It's notable but barely worth remarking on KP's virulence through anonymity.
Face to face, folks who hold his belief system react in one of two ways: women attempt to shame, men try one half-hearted joke, both seeming to probe my willingness to give them upper hand.
As people typically lead with the "weapon" they fear most, I find it effective to escalate and shame them. Then they cede either their rhetorical or proximal positions.
So both in person or anonymously, I've not witnessed the use of reason to support any counter claims to my position.
It's entirely rhetorical/emotional leading to trolling or retreat.
So if you're on the fence about a smash mouth (in love) strategy & tactical application, I encourage you to always take the fight to them and not cede ground.
Thank you for banning Kilo Papa.

Anonymous fritz October 28, 2013 3:46 PM

I do hope people like Kilo Papa are that young, and still have room for other impressionable ideas. Like, those expressed by Bacon:

I had rather believe all the fabulous tales in the Talmud and the Koran than that the universal frame is without mind.

and by Romanes who speaks of:

...the appalling contrast between the hallowed glory of that creed which once was mine and the lonely existence as now I find it.

Bacon was a master Rosicrucian under John Dee the magician, so you atheists lurking here, understand your atheism is a lot more than you are led to believe it is. Romanes, a contemporary of Darwin, latter came back to his faith of origin. It will be fascinating to have discussions with these in Paradise some day.

When Bacon speaks of "universal frame is without mind," remember that Nietzsche completely lost his, probably more due to syphilis, but that tends to be the life of an atheist nihilist in the long term to his mortal end. Being an opium addict probably did not help either. What really killed Nietzsche? My money is on his overt war with his Creator. In the end, God won ...

Anonymous RP-in-TX October 28, 2013 4:00 PM

What bothers me is how it becomes a self fullfilling prophecy. Kids are pretty good at meeting your expectations.

When I was a sophomore, I spent a lot of time joking with my buddies and goofing off in class. They began sending me to the counselor, giving me extra work, and watching me like a hawk because supposedly I was "at risk of dropping out".

In my junior year I got tired of the extra attention and dropped out. They didn't seem to get the irony.

College was so much easier than high school because nobody was being paid to "care".

I've always been in the, "Don't Ban", camp. However, a big problem with this blog is that it moves on. For a regular reader it's frustrating to have to go back and deal with these people who are too stupid to know there arguments have already been dealt with fifty times. Countless times a more advanced post is being discussed and these idiots show up thinking they're brilliant... and the discussion resets to basic. Not a lot of fun. A lot of these people may not be trolls as much as idiots who believe we're hearing their arguments for the first time; "you guys are so stupid, bet you've never thought of this before..." Ban them and let the discussion move forward.

Pox, what would you say if I substituted "atheist" with "heterosexual"?

Anonymous Loki Sjalfsainn October 28, 2013 4:46 PM

No, atheism is the default position of everyone. Vox, me, and everyone else. Babies are born atheists.

I should be fascinated to read your interviews with newborns to prove this, Pox my friend.

We've already proven the existence of God with the "Apple Pie Theory".

You will then be pleased to know that this pie is superb.

""I wonder how long Ann Morgan will last..."

I do like her name. Reminds me of a civilized pirate! One with a lovely chest held in with corsets and frilly lace,,,,But, then i seem to have digressed.

*looks suspicious* You've been reading Gethsemane Butler, haven't you?

*hustles off to get wedge of apple pie*"

Reminds me of the great lady pirate Anne Bonney. Died respectable at 80 with 10 children.

Huh. I've noticed that conversations go on around the trollery. But I don't get distracted by trolls.

Not sure what blog you have been reading...it has gotten so bad that it seems that Vox is (finally!!!) taking the first steps in the right direction.

As rocean mentioned, and the rest of the internet attests to, trying to 'work around' the trolls is an exercise in futility.

It seems that the other (male) commenters have been seeing the same thing.

You are a woman, though, so that could explain it.

At least it seems that you make good apple pie though, so there is that.

Anonymous lozozlo October 28, 2013 5:06 PM

Countless times a more advanced post is being discussed and these idiots show up thinking they're brilliant... and the discussion resets to basic. Not a lot of fun.

This. This blog spend way too much time wallowing in basic thought since the trolls come along and drag it down there from its' advanced beginnings.

And everyone simply lets them.

Trolls are a fact of blog life. They more often than not end up discrediting their point of view. As Vox pointed out, if they become incontinent, they need to be put down. No one will cuddle a smelly pet , no matter how cute they used to be.

Anonymous VanDerMerwe October 28, 2013 5:40 PM

Pox Vay: No, atheism is the default position of everyone. Vox, me, and everyone else. Babies are born atheists. It's delusional adults that change that.

LOL. What a load of bull. You have to argue for any position. There is no such thing as a default position, only an unreflected one.

Anonymous DonReynolds October 28, 2013 5:49 PM

It is a challenge and a worrisome problem for all people who value freedom of expression to actually take the step of excluding yet another person from participating. I do not envy anyone with that awesome task. I know enough about Vox (over the years) to know that he loves freedom and liberty as much or more than any man and I know this was step that was forced on him by someone who was beyond the pale of decent and thoughtful discourse....perhaps even deliberately so.

It is difficult to be banned from the company and society of conservatives and libertarians, exactly for this reason, but I also know (first hand) how easy and simple it is to be banned from Leftist and Liberal discussions, because they do not value freedom of expression or liberty. They are the oppressors and they will cull the herd of members the first time they find an ideological wart or pimple not where it should be. For them, it is not enough to agree 99 percent of the time. The one time in a hundred that you disapprove or do not endorse enthusiastically the one ill-conceived notion or opinion, then you may quickly find yourself banned.

I have agreed with Vox and I have disagreed with Vox over the years. In all, I have found him to be properly tolerant and willing to hear what anyone has to say regarding a topic, as long as they are sincerely and genuinely interested in exploring and contributing to the topic at hand, much to the benefit of all here. There have been many spirited debates. Honorable men and women can disagree here and offer arguments in favor of what they believe. That is all any of us here have reason to expect ......fairness and forebearance.

Anonymous daddynichol October 28, 2013 6:01 PM

Wow, Pox Vay! Since September 16th, you've posted a whopping 17 entries all in a effort to counter Vox's observations and comments? 17? Such a low out put! Meanwhile, our host often times posts more than once a day, continues to books and other publications all the while managing his other business interests. You, Pox, are a SLACKER of the first magnitude! Get your ass back on your blog and get to work!

Anonymous Loki Sjalfsainn October 28, 2013 6:12 PM

It seems that the other (male) commenters have been seeing the same thing.

And by this you mean, of course, that these male commenters have not been seeing this thing that she sees: comments that do not pertain to the troll.

You are a woman, though, so that could explain it.

Or perhaps it is her ability to observe more than one thing at a time--a skill I have noted, and exploited in my best pranks, that your kind often lacks.

But at least it seems you make good objects of sport, though, so there is that.

Anonymous Jack Amok October 28, 2013 10:01 PM

You used to be able to do that in the Honors/AP track, but even those classes are being packed with plodders these days...

Actually, if you look more closely, you'll find they're being filled with the children of the teachers, district staff, and other poli-connected bigwigs. It's getting expensive (and embarrassing) for those folks to send their kids to private schools, so they're using the public outcry for better programs to create special places they can shunt their own kids at taxpayer expense. They still let in a few unconnected bright kids to make their scores look good though.

Incorrect. They are born DEPENDENT on their providers and "creators".
There's a pattern in there somewhere that the self-loathers willfully miss.

Vox Day's new troll policy is good.

Anonymous Jack Amok October 29, 2013 3:13 AM

I like the troll policy. There are certain people that will post a semi-legitimate comment, then attempt to drag anyone responding into a tar pit of obnoxious rhetoric. And once you've got the damned tar baby stuck to your hands, it can be tiresome to get it off without looking like you are abandoning the field.

Sometimes just saying "bugger off, toady" is the right thing.

From a long term biological perspective, the 'vegan' part worries me the most, for a couple of reasons:

1. The human brain is a very expensive bit of equipment to operate, and requires nutrients most easily found in meat both to operate properly, and to grow properly in the first place, in fetuses and young children. It's *possible* to get these nutrients on a vegan diet, but it requires an extreme amount of knowledge and attention to the diet, and there is really no guarantee that well-stocked grocery stores are necessarily going to exist at all places and times in the future.

2. In an evolutionary sense, herbivores are generally far less intelligent that carnivores or omnivores. Partly because a large brain is expensive to operate and in the absence of a very good grocery store requires meat, and partly because it doesn't take very many brains to sneak up on a blade of grass. Since this thing we call civilization isn't guaranteed to exist in the future, I don't think going vegan is a good direction to go, it's highly likely to cause an evolutionary loss of intelligence in those who go that way, rather than continuing to hunt.

Homeschooling does seem to offend some people like few other things can. It really attacks them where they live.

Preach it!
Ann, were you around back when someone with an online name something like "Ian.Yclept" was discussing that sort of thing on this forum?

Personally, well as a South African, I know how to cook meat over a fire. :-)

There's some people who define their self-worth through being hated. Because at least that way, they know you had to think about THEM, you had to pay attention to THEM, you considered THEM to be an enemy worth fighting. These people are actually happier being banned, because at least that means you noticed them.
