Very good. I must point out however that you may be unknowingly breaking OSHA laws by taxing the load capacity of that cartoon frame. I'd estimate you are at about 1500 lbs., when the frame standard is 1,000 lbs.
This is kind of a big deal. The one thing the Hugos had going for them after Sad Puppies II: The Rainbow Engulfment of Saddening, was Larry Correia swearing up and down that the system was honest.
Admittedly there have been a few other authors who never bought into that.
I have to suspect that the Sasquan people are fully involved with sjw tactics. And, I further suspect that No Award won nothing and the Puppies swept the slate in the final vote. They were too terrified of this victory so took the illegal route of vote manipulation. I will adhere to this opinion until proven wrong and will adjust all my reactions to anything Worldcon accordingly. It's now past time for a new award regardless the amount of time it takes to mature that new award into something real authors and dedicated fans can be proud of and trust.
The fact that they're sticking to their guns on the data release *really* needs to come back to haunt them next year. As in, something referring to it should be worked into the name of the next Puppies campaign.
I believe the numbers are correct in the final: if nothing else, they know that we're watching and they couldn't just make our votes go down the memory-whole without risking people communicating and collecting voting receipts.
No argument. But they know that Larry was keeping an eye, and they know that voters get an electronic receipt of their own vote. They couldn't (admittedly, I'm drawing a floor on SJW stupidity and doubling down here, so I admit that could be my key flaw) declare one of books only got 150 votes if there was a good chance Vox could publish 200 electronic receipts declaring otherwise. They'd be completely ruined.
They're willing to cover for John Scalzi, they're not willing to die for him. So they won't release the data that will show the pre-existing slates.
Vox any plan to eventually collect these cartoons into a slideshow or photo album. I know you have them labelled but that is a little cumbersome. Btw the labels don't show in mobile blogger if that can be addressed.
Larry Correia swearing up and down that the system was honest.
It made sense at the time for authors like Vox and Larry to take that stance. To someone like me outside the business, human nature suggested it was unlikely; but as professionals inside the business, it was right for them to assume innocence as long as there was no evidence of wrongdoing.
We can pretty safely call this evidence of wrongdoing. The excuse they've offered isn't credible, but they haven't offered a new one not released the data.
"It made sense at the time for authors like Vox and Larry to take that stance. To someone like me outside the business, human nature suggested it was unlikely; but as professionals inside the business, it was right for them to assume innocence as long as there was no evidence of wrongdoing."
Dude.
He's an auditor. Finding shenanigans is what he did for a living for decades.
He looked over everything.. and so no evidence of shenanigans. What kind of idiot would you have to be to look for evidence of a thing... find none... then make accusations anyway?
Only problem is that Sand-usky-ifer doesn't (or can't - perhaps scarring from childhood beatings, like Graham Spanier) grow a moustache. It looks like a mashup of Phil and Ed Kramer, without his phony oxygen tanks and neck-brace.
Mary the (sock)Puppetmistress is simply brilliant.
I bet McRapey's mad that he's in the background, not wearing a dress, and hardly even in position to rape anyone.
These bastards didn't need to cheat the system back when they were the system, and that's all Larry discovered. They are gaming it now because they know if they can't bury 600 votes...they sure as hell can't bury 60,000.
Even Larry's investigation of "no wrong-doing" is damning: it proved just how "honestly" rigged the system was against outside quality.
Now it's moot, because they are blowing their wad, cheating like fiends, to wipe out the advance party.
It is almost as if they have never read Black Destroyer, or understood it if they have.
This is awkward I went on to Phill Sandifer's site and found a link for child size dildos. https://gendertrender.wordpress.com/2015/09/26/babys-first-dildo-courtesy-of-the-transgender-movement/ http://www.tranzwear.net/store.php/TranZwear/pd8548510/kids_sized_stp_model_e_

It would be convenient for peripatetic bloggers if the artist was credited each time, although you did announce the name when you introduced the series.
@20 Sad Puppies 4: Crouching Scandal Hidden Torslate. == VERY good. BTW: Am wondering why my VFM#391 comment sig is still not available. Vox, have I been kicked out for some reason - no-one has told me so.
I'm sure this has been thought of already but I must have missed it or it disappeared for strategic purposes (if this post disappears I'll know why and understand it) but I keep wondering why no one has brought up the elephant in the room. Where's Hollywood on this?
Is it really credible that in a year filled with No Awards the one thing everyone agreed on was Guardians of the Galaxy? Or is it more likely the SJWs at Marvel\Disney considered it advertising expense to buy up enough votes to ensure their movie got a Hugo and nuked everything else? To me this would be a good reason to hide the data, as it would show conclusively not only the Hugos could be gamed by anyone willing to toss money at it, but that the number of fans on either side voting were minuscule compared to the chump change from Hollywood that bought themselves an award....
What's the Hollywood angle, that's what I want to know!
Is it really credible that in a year filled with No Awards the one thing everyone agreed on was Guardians of the Galaxy?
Yes. It's not like the opposition is principled - all they have to do is *feel* that GotG is too big to be tainted by Puppy nominations.
Or is it more likely the SJWs at Marvel\Disney considered it advertising expense to buy up enough votes to ensure their movie got a Hugo and nuked everything else?
Are you confusing the hidden nomination data with the already released voting data?
I think you're all jumping to conclusions. A dirty, neckbearded pagan leering at children is just a composite of all those that couldn't be singled out. There aren't enough distinguishing features to narrow it down to Phil.
Quite possibly. I thought both data sets were being with held?
Apologies, I confused the final vote summary with being the final vote ballots. With the nomination vote ballots being the item of interest that was supposed to be released and is currently hidden by the excuse of privacy.
I think that Pedo Phil Sandifer might not be creepy enough in that cartoon.
Then again, I highly doubt that any human artist can capture the sheer lunacy of Pedo Phil. It would be like trying to draw the entire Grand Canyon of Deviancy.
It may just be something very simple, such as that a lot of the authors making noise about how the Puppies kept glorious works of diversity off the ballot only voted for their own eligible work and would look very bad if that came out. Some of the more clueless SJWs from file770 posted their ballots showing only their own eligible work and that of their friends. Self-dealing pro authors might have been wise enough to at least not post such ballots but that doesn't mean they were wise enough to vote for more works.
Hollywood doesn't give a quantum of a damn about the Hugo awards.
Fair enough, you would know more about it than I would. Certainly the cinematic universe Marvel has built hasn't been that much SJW (casting of Baldur aside) but I thought maybe the people running the fem-Thor nonsense might have had some pull with the Hugos and paid for the privilege of getting an award and supporting the 'True fans no-award the puppy outsiders' narrative. Glad to know that doesn't seem to be the case.

Well played!

Great allegory, bloated and corrupt
Was there news on the data release I've not seen?

If memory serves, this is about the nomination data. They did release the voting data, right?

Ha! Sandifer is pitch-perfect!
Well done.
If they won't release the nomination data it has to mean that the data show Tor's slate quite clearly, and that it simply got overmatched.
Indeed.
I believe the numbers are correct in the final: if nothing else, they know that we're watching and they couldn't just make our votes go down the memory-whole without risking people communicating and collecting voting receipts.
They are covering up the Torslate.

Perhaps this is the real reason they voted for Water falls up?

Heh, is that dude on the right Peddy Phil?
Wow, I love this cabal within a cabal toon, awesome!
This cartoon echoes the best of what Mad Magazine used to do. Well done.
That cartoon is crueller than what Japanese whalers would do if they came across Seanan McGuire swimming.
I love it.
