No submission

No king but Jesus. John C. Wright reminds Christians who they serve and celebrate this Christmas Eve:
The time for submission is past.

Christians have been slandered, libeled, demeaned, and buffaloed by a very small and very patient group of Leftwing zealots who have somehow convinced the world that there is no place for us in the this world: no place for our nativity scenes at Christmas, no place for Christian marriage, no place for the Ten Commandment in our courthouse decorations, no place for historical accuracy, reality or truth in our lives, and no prayers in our schools.

Enough is enough. We outnumber them. It is time to drive them from our midst, and return our civilization to being civilized.

Let us be Christendom again.
A Merry Christmas Eve to you all. The night is dark and we find ourselves in a time of war. And yet, we remain joyful and thankful.

I love Christmas Eve, the midnight masses, the candlelight services, the cheerful Christmas greetings, and the certain knowledge that all around the world, the vast network of believers reaches into every darkness and shadow.

But whether the season's greeting is said openly with a smile or whispered surreptitiously under threat of death and torture, the Christmas message of hope in a fallen world remains the same.

Merry Christmas Eve everyone.

If you are not blessed with courage or a strong will... even simply talking with coworkers and friends and shifting the discussion towards the Truth is still good and needed.

And if that's too hard... pray for strength and courage.

Blogger Happy Housewife December 24, 2015 12:14 PM

Merry Christmas Eve to you and yours, too. It's comforting that, despite the attempts to erase the reason for the season, Christ's name will be invoked by both believers and non-believers, whether in word or thought. Light casts no shadow, in Him there is no darkness. Maybe, just maybe, a non-believer will think a little too much about the light and start seeking. That's worth celebrating.

"No king but Jesus."

This is a non sequitur. It doesn't make any sense.

Americans rejected kingship over two-hundred years ago. You haven't had a king since.

Throughout the 20th century monarchies were eliminated or castrated. Your current state of residence doesn't have a king any more than the kingless country you fled.

Whats happening in Europe is the product of liberty. Not kingship. What liberty does is on liberals. Not kings, or monarchists. You have no kings in your liberal states. No one is trying to institute them.

This is liberal government, playing out the only way it ever possibly could. It is kingless states doing what kingless states do. In chosing to trade aristocracy for liberty, you gave up the Tsar for Stalin. What Stalin does is not the fault of Tsars. Stalin was not a Tsar, he was Stalin.

Among the civil servants and progressive oligarchs, the banksters and billionaires who rule you, there is no king. There is the merchant power that arises when the aristocratic wanes.

Yet you liberals are so warped, that when your plutocrats tear all you hold dear to ruins, you still can't help raging against monarchy. Your house is on fire, and you curse the fire extinguisher you threw away.

You wanted your liberal, constitutional government. You got it. Now you deal with the natural consequences of that liberty. Your beloved liberty-loving Anglo nations are the global vanguard of progressivism. That you can't see how what you despise flows from what you love, I understand.

But even you can grasp that there's no king involved in any of this. Your progressive states have no kings. They don't want to institute them. Your culture war is an internecine conflict between competing groups of liberals. There are those who like how far we've fallen and want to fall farther, and those, like you, who want to return to that one weightless moment, when you first stepped off the cliff, before you realized the ground was rushing up at you.

You can want to turn the clock back to that point if you like. But don't blame your descent on the guys who never jumped.

The battle here is between the antimonarchist liberals who accept Jesus, and the antimonarchist liberals who don't.

The godless progressives are not monarchists. There are Christian monarchists who oppose the progressives. Are we not your allies?

But who else could "no king but Jesus" be directed at?

Your leftist, liberal, constitutional, rule-of-law, nation-of-laws-not-men, consent-of-the-governed, we-the-people, bourgeois, "democratic", "republic", tears your heritage apart and sells out your people. The problem here is not with a king.

"No submission" is just retarded. In this life every man is subject to the rule of other men. Every law you submit to is just the creation of men, enforced by men.

You should submit to the rule that's just.

It's the unjust you should fight against. Regardless of whether it comes from a king, or not.

Merry Christmas at any rate.

Blogger Neanderserk December 24, 2015 3:46 PM

The fact that Saul is an improvement on the Cathedral does not mean the Saul is the ideal form of government.

The train is fine.

The Anvil of God's Word

Last eve I paused beside the blacksmith's door,
And heard the anvil ring the vesper chime;
Then looking in, I saw upon the floor,
Old hammers, worn with beating years of time.

How many anvils have you had,' said I,
To wear and batter all these hammers so?
Just one,' said he, and then with twinkling eye,
The anvil wears the hammers out, you know.

And so, I thought, the Anvil of God's Word
For ages skeptic blows have beat upon;
Yet, though the noise of falling blows was heard,
The Anvil is unharmed, the hammers gone.

And there were in the same country shepherds, abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them! And they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, “Fear not! For, behold, I bring you tidings o great joy, which shall be to all my people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ, the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you: Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.” And suddenly, there was with the angel a multitude of the Heavenly Host praising God, and saying, “Glory to God in the Highest, and on Earth peace, and good will toward men.

If they do, so be it. If that's what gets me fired, so be it. I am not and will not be ashamed of my fealty to OUR CREATOR, LORD AND SAVIOR.

I have received nothing but smiles from saying "Merry Christmas" in person. Even to those that might not follow Him, I suspect the wishes warm their hearts... I hope it may inspire all that hear it to call out to Him themselves.

God bless all here. God bless the whole world and draw us all closer to Him.

@68 Thucydides

Merry Christmas!

As a small experiment I have ben wishing people "Merry Christmas" wherever I go, and this small act of rebellion in PC Canada lights up so many people's eyes when they receive it. Revolutions are started by making small shifts at the bottom.

Last couple of days I have been jumping on the athiest trolls chatting in a game I play. Basically they whine about Christianity and Christmas is a pagan blah blah blah.

Simply saying "I didn't know they let you play [game x] from your safe space special snowflake" makes them go silent. It also gets a lot of tells from people who are so happy to see *anyone* stand up to them and Merry Christmas all around :P

And let us pray not only for each other, but for the redemption of our enemies. Pray that they might be cured of their ills, and their eyes opened to the path of wisdom and righteousness.

For every soul saved is a victory for the Lord.

I always forget this. Seems I'm more interested in clobbering them.
