Audiobook request: Awake in the Nightland with soundtrack

VD, I am an audible member and it shows up as discounted ($10.46), but not free.

I won't use a credit on such a short book but was thinking about getting it in dead tree form. Having the audio, especially read by the author would be a bonus.

I noticed that he had an article in Backwoods Home magazine, there is a natural crossover between them and Castalia (they are Mother Earth News but with guns).

Generally I'd agree with this but I've recently discovered that audiobooks are great for deep study because they keep the hands and eyes free to take notes. (Also they force you to keep a pace. Which can help if you're OCD or your mind has a tendency to wander.)

@445supermag

Backwoods Home is definitely worth a subscription. SJW-free homesteading, gardening, livestock and guns. Getting published there was an honor for me and they treat their writers well.

I know I've seen it on here, but is a paperback forthcoming? I thought I saw one is coming out this year, but I cannot find the details on the Castalia House site.

Paperback will arrive in the spring - it's in the CH queue.

We're going to make gardening paper again.

Amazon/Audible does have some sort of arrangement on some books whereby one buys the digital print edition, then can add the Audible version for a smaller price--usually about $4. They track each other such that one can listen to the audio, stop it, then pick up one's Kindle and open the book at the point where the audio stopped. This is called "Whispersync," I think.

I wouldn't need that feature, necessarily, but it would be nice to get both audio and ebook for a deal price.

Also follow David The Good on twitter, his tweets are hilarious, and sometimes he does thematic tweets (like Trump as a Gardener, or a space alien as a gardener) which add to the fun. https://twitter.com/DavidTGood

His YouTube channel pretty good, too. I'm still a year or so away from building my garden proper, but his advice on small plot growing (and his off topic videos, too) are always fun and worth a watch.

He continues to preach heresy about zucchini. Does this make him a zuchservative?

Blogger David The Good January 22, 2016 6:17 PM

No. Zucchini is all talk and promises but turns to mush under the heat and, though it looks good on the outside, leaves a bitter taste in your mouth. I'm on the right side of history with this one.

"Narrated by the author"
What, listen to THAT voice for any length of time?
Have you ever heard him pronounce "list"?

(Srsly, he produces our radio ads. Get this book. Audio, hard copy, digital, Morse code....)

@17

Grill the zucchini. Grill it with fire!

For bureaucratic reasons beyond our control, this feature is not available to us as a European company.

I really want to make a witty reply but I am unable. I'm suffering from zucchini deficiency. Must Thaw some and make spaghetti sauce. Fortunately I have sauce put up also. And pickles. Pickles help, when they're your own. But they don't belong in spaghetti sauce. Unless you're a dirty commie.

@The Aardvark

The anime cat girls were making me nervous. I was under pressure!
