Reverify Milo!

This aggression shall not stand! Sign the petition and help right this social media injustice!
On Friday 8 January 2016, Twitter unverified the account of Breitbart technology editor Milo Yiannopoulos, effectively declaring war on libertarian and millennial voices by punishing the outspoken commentator for his views. This comes despite CEO Jack Dorsey declaring that Twitter “stands for freedom of expression” just a few months ago.

The Obama Administration should issue a strong statement of support for freedom of speech. Give Milo back his badge! #JeSuisMilo
Seriously, how funny would it be to see the Obama administration lobbying Twitter to reverify Milo.

Just tell them he's gay, and Obama should jump right on board.

The petition link seems to be broken (other links on the site work just fine).

If Obama had a gay lover, he'd look like Milo?

Blogger bearspaw January 11, 2016 10:09 AM

Not only that, but Obama is Milo's favorite flavour. Who knows? This could be the start of a beautiful friendship.

Anonymous No January 11, 2016 10:10 AM

Pray Obama doesn't get involved. The world can't handle the resulting shock of Milo's first failure to receive satisfaction from a black man.

Word on the street is they are both bottoms.

Done!

And thanks for the functioning link Kurgan!

I e-signed the petition, although it's not listing my initials and location yet. I'm not especially confident in their ability to count this correctly or honestly.

I don't twitter or facebook or anything so I don't know much about this stuff. Is there an alternative to twitter? It seems a better response to this would be to switch away from Twitter to something else. Twitter's stock is not doing well so I would think they would be particularly vulnerable to a call for a switch. And a condition of halting the call for a switch would be a meaningful response from Twitter including a formal apology and a firing of the peoples responsible for this action

Blogger BassmanCO January 11, 2016 11:23 AM

@14,

You truly have no sense of irony or forcing a bad choice on an enemy, do you? Are you stupid or simply naive?

Blogger Cataline Sergius January 11, 2016 11:28 AM

@13. Skomoroh 66

Nope there isn't. Nothing else out there at the moment has Twitter's reach.

Regardless, that isn't the point.

The point is to EMBARASS that posturing hypocritical SJW hive called Twitter. No one there is going to get fired for this trust me. They do it all the time but they only ever do it to rightwingers.

I have no idea how Vox still has his account.

Blogger Dave January 11, 2016 11:41 AM

Let's start a petition to get a better class of troll. These half-ass attempts obvious-ly show no effort at all.

No one has stepped up to the plate to lose the massive amounts of money Twitter do on a yearly basis. Funny that.

Signed with my spam filter email address. No way I am giving that administration carte blanche to swamp my contact address with thier propaganda.

I'm all in favor of Milo getting recertified by Twitter... but wouldn't it make better sense to petition Twitter, and not President Obama? Even if the president wants to help us (which is about as likely as monkeys flying out my butt) he doesn't control Twitter.

You're missing the point. This is rhetoric, not dialectic.

Ok Aeoli, now you got it all excited it can't type the words fast enough. Really, wouldn't it have the same old material ready to cut and paste?

Anonymous Ain January 11, 2016 2:11 PM

@33, that's because it gets excited when people pay attention to it.

@33 Dave,

Ok Aeoli, now you got it all excited it can't type the words fast enough.

Unfortunately I whiffed my prediction that he would respond in less than five minutes. I wish I could lure him over to my blog's comment section where I could examine him properly, but he's dead-set on Vox.

Hey Obvious, I wrote a post about you. Go read it and engage me.

Blogger Markku January 11, 2016 2:52 PM

As far as I can recall Obvious is still banned, so I cleaned up the thread, including yall's responses.

Apple CEO Timmy Cook's boy cot is working out well. Apple lost over $100billion in market value recently.

Aeoli Pera, Hey Obvious, I wrote a post about you. Go read it and engage me.

You support common core math? The way it takes 108 steps to divide 90 by 18 to get 5? Asians and white kids should be able to do that in their head.By teaching math like they do in Haiti they are trying to bring Asians and whites down, if they actually believed in equality they would have copied how Germany/Japan taught math.

That's understandable but this is mostly about Twitter and tweets unless you're looking for the darker, sinister subplots.

Twitter took down 2 #1 trending hashtages in the past week. #rapefugee and Milos on top of their history of shadowbans.

Blogger The Other Robot January 11, 2016 11:04 PM

Shouldn't that be:

Revere Milo

Blogger Aeoli Pera January 12, 2016 10:01 AM

You support common core math?

Of course not.

Blogger Zaklog the Great January 12, 2016 5:34 PM

Has Milo himself tweeted this petition drive out? Considering his number of followers, it should be a slam dunk for him to get this to 100,000.
