Viktor Orban was right

What a pity that the British didn't come around as quickly when they were warned by Enoch Powell:
Like most members of Hungary’s liberal intellectual elite, George Konrad, a distinguished novelist, loathes his country’s stridently illiberal prime minister, Viktor Orban.

“He is not a good democrat and I don’t believe he is a good person,” said Mr. Konrad, a veteran of communist-era struggles against dictatorship.

All the same, he thinks Mr. Orban, the self-declared scourge of mainstream elites across Europe, was right and Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany was wrong about how to respond to the chaotic flood of migrants seeking refuge from war and poverty — perhaps Europe’s most serious crisis since World War II.

“It hurts to admit it, but on this point Orban was right,” Mr. Konrad, 82, said, lamenting that in the absence of a joint European effort to control the flow, Hungary was wise to seal its borders and sound the alarm over the perils of allowing hundreds of thousands of migrants, mostly Muslims, to enter Europe willy-nilly.

Quietly, and often with similar misgivings, a growing number of people in Hungary and beyond are wondering whether, despite his shrill and often bigoted message, Mr. Orban had a clearer view of the scale of the migration crisis and its potential hazards than technocrats in Brussels and leaders in Berlin and other European capitals....

In a recent interview with European newspapers, Donald Tusk, president of the European Council, the body that presides over European Union summit meetings, described Ms. Merkel’s welcoming approach to migrants as “dangerous” and endorsed the view long promoted by Mr. Orban — that most of the asylum seekers entering Europe were not Syrians fleeing war but economic migrants seeking jobs.
If Europeans are forced to choose between Muslims and nationalists, they will choose nationalists. If they are forced to choose between Muslims and fascists, they will choose fascists. And if they are forced to choose between Muslims and neo-nazis, they will choose neo-nazis.

The secular elites who have welcomed this invasion should rethink their attempt to cling to power and manage the situation they themselves created. They are the problem, not the solution. And all that trying to prevent those who warned them of the consequences of their actions from addressing the situation will accomplish is ensure that more extreme measures are taken.

Very nearly everyone with whom I have spoken is furiously angry. The situation is extremely unstable, and I suspect there will be more than a few newsworthy events in 2016. The mass sexual assault at the Cologne train station is merely the first of many to come.

“There is a shift to the extreme right because the left, or what is left of the left, and the moderate center right were offering answers that were wrong,” said Mr. Gyarmati, who heads the International Center for Democratic Transition, a group that promotes democracy. “Now we are in a situation where the answers are unpleasant to say the least.”

Sooner or later, reality always imposes itself, no matter how many people insist that 2+2 equals 37.

I was in Cologne about a month ago, for a stopover, and we went down at nighttime to see the cathedral, have a beer, etc. It was all quite peaceful and pleasant; I can hardly believe the recent events.

I was born and raised in Cologne and even belonged to an old Carnival Verein (Carnival Club) in which i used to parade around with my buddies thru the city in the Rosen Montag Zug (Rose Monday train) dressed and on horseback like we were straight out of the 1700's. Up until and thru the 90's it was always safe and the morning after Weiberfastnacht, the streets were impeccably clean, full green trash bags full of party trash neatly lined up on the corners in Koeln-Altstadt. I can only imagine what chaos awaits my former countrymen during Carnival 2016; rapes, theft, maybe a few murders...you know, standard turd world Scheiße now thanks to "Mutti Merkel", shipped directly to the town of my birth. Thanks, bitch.

Islam wrong, Christianity Right.
This is about loyalty to Jesus.
It's about the root and history of Europe.

And believe it or not, it's about helping Muslims to see the light, and escape their present darkness.

The political elite in EU member states *also* have a very clear view of both the short and long term effects of mass immigration. This invasion, together with freedom of movement for EU citizens, will eventually break down national cohesion altogether to further the goal of pan-European governance. The trend for regional (national in the case of Scotland) independence movements seeking notional independence from their nation's government whilst remaining or seeking to rejoin the EU should be seen as part of the same process.

The dumkopt mayor of Köln was telling women how to dress to keep from being raped. The mayor is a feminist who believes "She was asking for it".

"Economic migrants seeking jobs". I think he meant economic invaders seeking parasitic welfare in more generous EU countries such as Germany, Sweden, Austria, etc.

What Europeans might choose is irrelevant. Their leaders have chosen Moslems and Transnationalism and will continue to ram them down the throats of European people.
The resistance we see now are the struggles of the last few good men and women. They are brave but lack the 3% necessary to have a chance at victory.

VFM #0265- I am not from Koeln but I lived there for much of the 90s and Love the town and its people (ein waschechter Imi sozusagen). I am in contact with the town because of work and friends and, to a man- even the liberal ones are furious about what's happening there. I wonder how long the fabled Rhenish Tolerance will last.

I can understand the feeling. I'm tired of the "all is lost" folks as well. I'm trying to get rid of that mind-set myself. There is never going to be a "perfect moment" when we hold the blindingly obvious moral high ground. It is going to be a slog through quaking bogs with treacherous mire.

Women who dress provocatively, get drunk in public and walk around alone ARE asking for it.

And those who victimize them should still be shot. What Europe needs (until the invaders are ejected) are decoy operations where vulnerable women are bait, and any who accost them are punished (as in, at least broken bones.)

Interestingly, I'm headed for Hungary this August for a shooting competition. I wonder if I should be bringing extra ammo? :-)

One of the Food for Thought lessons from the Rodney King riot was from a couple of shooters who came back to the city after an outing where they'd shot all the ammo they owned, to a city which had just outlawed the sale of ammo. My rule has been to always keep a reserve of ammo of military/self-defense utility.

Interesting how they've gone from "war refugees" to "economic refugees". Wonder how long it'll take for them to get to "invading army refugees"?

Had to laugh reading the linked NYT article. They feel compelled to report the news, lest the "paper of record" be scooped by a rival (embarrassing). But then they spend most of the article trying to spin it away.

The article begins featuring the views of "distinguished novelist" George Konrad, described as prominent in Hungary's "liberal intellectual elite". His surname appears to be German, however, which made me wonder... And indeed, it turns out that he is a member of a certain Tribe who've caused a great deal of trouble in Eastern Europe (not to mention everywhere else in the West). He does seem to have a pretty good record as a champion of individual rights during the Soviet occupation of his country, but he also appears to be a perfect example of how "liberals" everywhere, in their ivory-tower idealism and disdain for the deep national feelings of the common people (especially when said common people are of a different tribe), have set the stage for their worst nightmare.

Funny how it's okay for the Tribe to be as tribal in its behavior as any tribe in history – and theirs is long indeed – but not okay for anybody else. Open borders for Israel?

Meanwhile, Orbán appears to be pure Magyar, and like his neighbor Vladimir Putin, though slightly encumbered with the checkered past of anyone who grew up under Communism (including, of course, Frau Merkel), seems to truly have his nation's best interests at heart.

Some years back, a friend of mine who was born in Cleveland in 1950 of Lithuanian refugee parents (his father had been a high official in the briefly independent Lithuania of the war years, then barely escaped when the Russians returned) said something to me about how nationalism is the cause of most of the world's troubles. (His first language, in fact, was Lithuanian, and he was charmed that I guessed his ancestry from his name, and knew something about his language – considered to be the most ancient surviving form of the original Indo-European that was the ancestor of nearly all European languages – excepting only Hungarian, Finnish, Estonian and Basque – as well as many others.) I was amazed that even he, as a member of a severely oppressed small nation which had only just regained its independence, had been so thoroughly brainwashed as to hold such a view.

Does anyone feel this is not just happening organically, but being forced upon us? It seems somebody behind the scenes is pushing for a real confrontation between Europeans and Muslims. Kind of like "let's you and him fight."

"What is particularly disturbing is that the attacks appear to have been organised. Around 1,000 young men arrived in large groups, seemingly with the specific intention of carrying out attacks on women."

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-35231046

I wrote this on another site, but it seems appropriate to post here:

Over the last however-many decades anyone who is paying attention can see the foundations of western civilization actively being eroded through immigration, international trade, political correctness, dumbing down of education, feminism, etc.

The last couple of months we've been hearing about the elite buying up 'bugout' properties.

Now it seems like the table is being set for a white Christian Europeans vs. everyone else confrontation.

It's almost like somebody has a plan and step-by-step they are following it.

Viktor Orban is potentially one of his country's and perhaps Europe's great men, and stands firmly on the right side of history. The so-called leaders of the west will by contrast be swept away and quickly forgotten (perhaps to their relief).

The Code of Conduct of Cologne should be: Mayor Reker apologizes and resigns to let those more suitable to the task take over her duties.

By the way, I'm amazed that Austria with its history (siege of Vienna) has been so foolish as to get pulled along by the Madness of Merkel. They should know better in their bones.

Interesting, is it not, that it was only three years ago that Goldman Sachs/Bilderberger Peter Sutherland told the House of Lords that the EU must "do its best to undermine" the "homogeneity" of its member states," and do it quickly because it would be difficult to explain to the people involved?

(He wouldn't, by any chance, be of Eskimo heritage, would he?)

Such a fortunate coincidence!

Apparently not. Their Chancellor, Werner Faymann, is a social democrat. Why Austria, which is already fairly well Muslim-infested, would keep electing social democrats is beyond me.

There is another reason the “migrants” or “refugees” are coming other than “seeking jobs”. This is obvious from looking at any picture of large numbers of these “refugees”, so obvious that it is the elephant in the room. If you look, what you will see is men, almost all men, and young men at that. What does this mean?

The second obvious, well known, elephant in the room fact is that Islam allows four wives. For each man that has four, three men must have none. Now, of the 1.6 billion Muslims in the world, half are male. Lets call the number seeking wives 500 million, just to use a round number. If just 1% have 4 wives, 15 million must have none. And you can bet that the number with 4 is higher than 1%, so lets call it the riches and most powerful/connected 5%, which makes it 75 million frustrated young men.

So, between 15 and 75 million frustrated young men, they only have two options, overthrow the current rich and powerful (does that explain Mideast politics better now?), or go to another country and take their women. Hence, the pictures of all those mostly young men “refugees”.

Anonymous cincinnatus January 07, 2016 5:49 PM

@Sanity Clause:

I'm pretty sure we all know about and clearly understand the "where da white wimmenz at?" motivation for the migration.
