The stench of gamma

Man, once you whiff it, you will never forget that bizarre scent of passive-aggression, insecurity, dishonesty, and truculence. One of Matt Walsh's fans decided to jump in and white knight for Matt, and he appears to have obtained a copy of the McRapey playbook, right down to his very vocabulary:
Supreme Dark Lord @voxday
@mattwalshblog You sneer at Trump's supporters. Trump tells them he loves them and wants them to be great. That is why you lose.

Paul Foeller @pfoeller
I'm not sneering at all. I'm echoing the sentiment that Trump supporters are all surface - and you're proving it.

Supreme Dark Lord @voxday
You claim to be better than Trump's supporters, but you're not sneering?

Paul Foeller @pfoeller
I'm more policy-focused, yes. Do you disagree?

Supreme Dark Lord @voxday
I know nothing about you. The point is that you have publicly claimed to be better than all Trump supporters.

Paul Foeller @pfoeller
I don't think I'm better. I think my views make more sense. There is a massive difference between the two.

Supreme Dark Lord @voxday
You said Trump's supporters are all more superficial than you are. So, is being superficial a virtue or a vice?

Paul Foeller @pfoeller
Again, I've not done so. In fact, I've explicitly stated exactly the opposite. Do try to keep up?
Read the rest at Alpha Game. Keeping in mind that this is how he describes himself on Twitter: "My wife's only flaw is her taste in men."

After all, there are few things that women find more attractive than a self-deprecating man with much to self-deprecate.

You know that a whole lot of Scots who wanted a free Scotland - and the majority of Scottish men - voted for a socialist welfare party, the SNP, because it was the ticket to freeing Scotland?

You know that a whole lot of English, who want a free England, have supported UKIP, even though they are supposed to be a melange of bad things?

Show me your well thought out, workable solution for universal health care for a country the size of the US with our particular demographic challenges and we'll talk like functional adults.

And, no, "European style" is not an answer. There's 45 countries in Europe and they all have different health care systems. The level of public funding ranges from ~10% to nearly 100%.

Of course the MSM (((usual suspects))) are whining that ''Trump needs to disavow this!''
Click the link, it ain't any associated with the ''Trump for God Emperor'' campaign.
It's actually quite simple (and yes legal, political campaigns and charities are exempt from the 'do not call' law) all you need is an old (at least 10 years, newer ones no longer have a phone modem) computer.
I'm sure with a bit of googling you can find the software necessary to become a damn robocaller yourself. Easy-peasy.

I don't run into the term gamma much outside of Vox Popoli so I don't know exactly what makes the guys call someone gamma.

Based on what I see here, I've put them into two categories. The nice, sweet guys who have rotten luck with some girls. The ones we say "He's great, he's just not for me." And the creeps.

Something about this dude makes me think he's closer to the creep category. That's just my feminine intuition based on how he interacted with Vox and the fact he put the "only flaw" line on twitter. Plus his body language and clothing in the picture.

I could be wrong. (I hope I am.) But if he were dating a friend of mine I'd tell her not to risk it and run.

VD:

Just fine, so long as he starts deporting people. There has to be a nation before we can sort out what we want the nation to be like.
The American Cuckservative recently pointed out, in essence, ''the 'culture war' is over, we lost'' then goes on to say:
''Here’s an example. I think Trump’s language for talking about illegal immigrants is repulsive. On the other hand, in Texas, where I used to live, business conservatives routinely advocated for immigration “reform,” on economic grounds and grounds of compassion. I do not believe these folks were, or are, insincere. Hell, a lot of my friends were like this, and they are good, well-meaning, big-hearted people! But I think they genuinely do not see, and do not care, about the effect of mass immigration on their fellow Americans farther down the social hierarchy.''
Like I've I think this *ahem* man hates Trump, despises him, all the way down to the visceral level. And:
''For people in our socioeconomic demographic, greater immigration meant more and better restaurants, and better lawn and garden care. Our kids weren’t having their schools overrun by children who couldn’t speak the language; they went to private school, or to public schools in parts of town immigrants couldn’t afford. We weren’t having the hospitals we used overrun by illegal immigrants needing care; we didn’t have to use the public hospital. Our neighborhoods weren’t changing in front of our eyes. And so on. The immigration issue was a chance for us to show our compassion — sometimes our explicitly Christian compassion — without it costing us anything tangible. The kind of white people my class looked down on and thought of as racist rabble were the kind of white people who had to bear a lot of the brunt of our politics and what we called compassion.''
How nice for you cucky; ''we like immigrants because of all the interesting restaurants they open'' *rolls eyes*
And you know what cucky? We sneer and flip the bird right back at 'cha.

Blogger VD February 25, 2016 1:06 PM

Actually, that is a pretty funny line. The point of self deprecating humor is to combat pride, which otherwise mars one's judgment to the point where one is tempted to boast about the very things of which one should be most ashamed.

First, I don't think it's even a little bit funny. Second, it is supplication disguised as a joke, combined with holding his wife up as a trophy. "See, an actual girl is willing to let me touch her." That's why his Twitter account features a picture of both of them.

And third, you're right about the pride. Gammas are Secret Kings, filled with inexplicable pride they attempt to cloak behind bad humor and fake humility.

My wife's reaction to it was pure contempt. Never forget: girls hate gammas.

Blogger VD February 25, 2016 1:09 PM

When I was at the Thanksgiving Day parade in NYC this past November I saw a dad pushing a stroller with the mom walking in front leading the way and I thought it was cucky. Gamma is a bit different. Vox explaining gamma self-delusion was very eye opening to me as the daughter of an overbearing gamma. Alpha game has a lot of posts on it. The whole raising women up, Madonna-wore thing (whore for women who are put off by them) is a big part how gamma sees women. Good point. And the Universe is by definition, the set of all real things. The US is a tiny subset of that. How can a microscopic subset care for the entire universal set? We'd have to take care of all those aliens out there too, for as far as the Hubble can see, and that might make them want to invade Earth just to exploit the free health care. Anonymous Rhetoric Man February 25, 2016 11:41 PM

VD puts forth the proposition that Gamma is “better than all of Trump’s supporters”. How? By making an inference using Gamma’s “I'm echoing the sentiment that Trump supporters are all surface” comment. This inference needs to be clarified first to establish it as a fact, rather than as an assumption used as the basis for fact. Note that VD deftly chose not pursue to this line of inquiry.

Rather, he reframes the issue using rhetorical language posed as dialectic to bait Gamma into using language to make it appear that Gamma is lying. Gamma uses the word “better” in a manner to offer context to his statement ( I'm echoing the sentiment that Trump supporters are all surface). VD, seizing an opportunity to pounce, crafts the narrative that Gamma is refusing to address the issue, even though Gamma’s response never reached the point to validate VD’s assumption that Gamma was “better”.

Lastly, VD characterizes Gamma as being intellectually dishonest, as though Gamma had admitted, and weakly defended, being better than Trump, with VD promptly resorting to the weasel default. VD seemingly further legitimizes his position that Gamma is retreating from a position that Gamma never actually took, but is put forth in such a manner for people following the conversation to believe Gamma has refused to own up to his own statement (“better than all of Trump’s supporters”), even though no such thing has observably taken place.

On top of it all, Gamma repeatedly saying to VD “You’re adorable” as a rhetorical device of repetition is akin to VD’s repeatedly saying to Gamma “you’re a weasel”.

I will admit it’s quite masterful.
