Disney, Marvel, oppose religious liberty

Two prominent purveyors of cultural dysgenics join the NFL in threatening democracy in the State of Georgia:
The Walt Disney Co. and Marvel Studios indicated opposition to a Georgia religious liberty bill pending before Gov. Nathan Deal, saying that they will take their business elsewhere “should any legislation allowing discriminatory practices be signed into state law.”

With generous tax incentives, Georgia has become a production hub, with Marvel currently shooting “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” at Pinewood Studios outside Atlanta. “Captain America: Civil War” shot there last summer.

“Disney and Marvel are inclusive companies, and although we have had great experiences filming in Georgia, we will plan to take our business elsewhere should any legislation allowing discriminatory practices be signed into state law,” a Disney spokesman said on Wednesday.
It doesn't speak well for Christians that they are so less willing to back up their beliefs with action than those whose objective is the dismantling and destruction of Christianity and Western civilization. I already refuse to use Disney products; it appears I will have to extend that policy to Marvel Studios as well. (I'm not going to bother changing the RP 2016 recommendations at this point, as Marvel's actions thus far remain hypothetical.)

One hopes the governor does not give in to this corporate attempt to influence the political process. And if he does, I expect he will experience the consequences of putting corporate politics ahead of the clearly expressed will of the people.

BTW, speaking of Disney, they are the chief instigator of the worldwide expansion of copyright laws. The TPP Treaty, for which the "opposition" party granted a negro usurper with a dubious nativity tale fast-track authority, not only forces countries like Japan to expand their copyright terms from the relatively reasonable life-plus-50 years to the EUSSR-style life-plus-70 but grants anyone who simply makes an allegation of infringement legal authority to shut down a website. They don't even have to prove the item is a valid copyright - just make a claim.

Disney of course is directly behind the "Sonny Bono Copyright Extension Act" of 1996, which extended all existing copyrights in the USA by a full 20 years. I don't think of myself as Christian and here's another example why. I don't identify as Christian either.

As for Marvel, Disney, and the National Feminist League, the leaders of cultural tyranny in each corporate entity should be culled out and punished like the criminals they are. Publically, so other neo-fascist Group Bravehearts aren't emboldened to corrupt and castrate the nation as a pathway to riches and personal power. No more cucking-out via corporate non-liability.

Disney was probably #2 on the Grand List of things to be Converged (right after American Churches.) It must give the Social Justice Deviants a hearty chuckle to think of the most family friendly corporation in the world pushing poz like heroin. And seeing neglectful parents plop their kids down in front of this propaganda via smartphones and ipads in public is quite distressing. At least when WE were kids, we had some respite from the "24 hour Two-Minutes-Hate Machine" when we went outside to play or to accompany our parents on errands.

And to think the poz merchants might have gotten away with it and created a new generation of slavering, equality loving, Tradition-hating consumers if they hadn't overplayed their hand and tried replacing the American lower classes with dusky-hued foreigners of every stripe. Disney is willing to do business in China and Starbucks will do business in Saudi Arabia. These countries don't honor gay rights. It seems like a trend that they will bully who they think they can bully. It is just too easy to bully Christians and Republicans. Georgia should double down. Pass the law and also extend tax incentives for one additional year with an added 25% improvement. Then Disney will have a tough decision to make. Georgia can also give additional business tax breaks for companies that remain.

@GKong: You do realize that merely getting rid of televisions isn't going to work. Disney won't even wake up when ESPN subscribers are dropping them. Boycotts in general don't work. What this means is just dumping Disney isn't enough. This must be approached in a visceral manner. More states must tell Disney to pound sand. Some states have backed down with this pressure. Well, if North Carolina could do it, then Georgia too and let's toughen the laws elsewhere and bring it back to Arizona. That's just what needs to happen. Disney's own blockade can only go so far. Apple catered to China. No problem. The FBI is just horrible though.

Oh, we can hit back much harder than that -- the text of the appropriate clause of Art 1, Sec 8 gives Congress this legislative power:
To promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts, by securing for limited Times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive Right to their respective Writings and Discoveries

So, all we need to do is recognize current patent/copyright laws as invalid because (a) they are valid after the death of the author/inventor, (b) they are transferable to someone other than the author/inventor, and (c) because companies are not, and cannot be, inventors/authors [for the simple reason that they commission their employees to do the actual work of being an author or inventor].

Using (c) we can void all patents and copyrights held by a company/foundation/group-that-didn't-author-or-invent.

And then (d), when these challenge the decision to void the copyright/patent and pursue legal challenge then call the company to the stand, when they are sworn in ask them if they are indeed that company/group:
if they affirm it, then serve them for tax-evasion and back taxes... if a corporation is a person they should be subject to the personal income tax, no?
if not, then serve them for identity theft, appearing when another was called to the stand.

I do find it rich that Disney is all about the inclusiveness. Perhaps they should unfreeze Walts' head and see what he has to say about 'the jews'. I'm surprised they haven't tried to scrub his name from the brand in some fashion or another.

Perhaps they should look to their own affairs, it wasn't too long ago they were using child labour to make those over priced T-Shirts...

Christianity is not welcome among vamperv beasts, disney and marvel are trash. I'd rather soak my brain in rounds of nihilistic anime than ever buy disney.

Recall the clothing gift, I once rec'ed a nice set of disney merch, I said thank you and later discarded it.

Parents, especially boomers still worship D Land, go there, spend the money on the junks only to e-bay it like its gold.

And I refuse to capitalize d or marvel, I also refuse and despise ever spelling freinds correctly as Friends the popular tv show was gen x worshiped to my horror. I know I'm an idiot with no credibility but propaganda being pushed was the only reason for technology, all this push of feeeelings, emotionalism, personifying animals, softening entire generations was all a IQ lowering plan from Hell.

You're just making it convenient for yourself. You can't bring yourself to give up Marvel and the NFL so you're making exceptions.
Disney's product suck so they're easy to give up.
BTW, you do know that Disney owns Marvel, right?
If you had the courage to stand behind your convictions, you'd ban Marvel as well.
And virtue signaling is an action. If you can bring yourself to give up on the NFL, you should. I guess it depends on how seriously you take all this.
