New American reviews Cuckservative

The title of the magazine is a little ironic in light of the views expressed in Cuckservative, but it's a good, substantial, and relatively positive review of the book nevertheless:
Cuckservative is co-written by Vox Day and John Red Eagle. Vox Day is the pseudonym of a video game designer who has amassed quite a following in the online world with his often-controversial views. Day’s high IQ and technical approach to problem solving is felt throughout Cuckservative. Much effort is given to making the book’s main argument that immigration is the most important issue of our day and that “cuckservatives” are on the wrong side. “Thanks to their cuckservative ideology, America’s self-styled conservatives have literally betrayed the entire purpose of the Constitution of the United States, and in doing so, they have put the very survival of the nation at risk,” the authors charge....

The chapter “Christianity and Cuckservatism” went into depth on the strange decline into far-left racial politics that we’ve witnessed in modern Christianity. As churches across the country lecture their members on the lessons of “white privilege” and “institutional racism,” Cuckservative points out the blatant hypocrisy: “It never seems to occur to these white guilt-trippers that holding today’s white Christians responsible for the sins of their 18th-century or 1960s counterparts is no different than blaming today’s Jews for crucifying Christ.” Christians, both Left and Right, who have bought into the egalitarian premises of the Left and support open-border policies are described as “Churchians” who have nothing in common with traditional Christianity. “The false fruit of Churchian multiculturalism can be recognized by what is happening to Christian churches everywhere from Europe to the American Midwest. So-called Christians are not only actively welcoming those who do not worship Jesus Christ to invade their nations, they are also watering down Christian theology and in some cases, literally tearing down the symbols of Christian worship.”

Overall, the book provides a sound explanation of what’s wrong with the conservative movement, as well as why open immigration policies will spell certain political doom for our side. As an eBook, it’s very affordable and well worth the price. It’s a good book for anyone not familiar with the type of issues regularly covered by The New American, especially for
younger readers who are looking for a primer on the main issues facing us today. Readers with a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) background should appreciate the book the most, owing to its technical and analytical dissection of the issue.
The Amazon reviews remain very positive too:
A Must-Read Book!

This book pulls back the covers from the greatest lie of modern politics, the imaginary "benefits" of mass immigration and multiculturalism. Using historical examples, economic evidence, and plain logic, the authors show that our current globalist outlook is nothing more or less than a recipe for conflict and decline throughout western civilization.

I very much enjoyed the section dealing with dishonest "christian" arguments regarding immigration. I am not personally religious, but I am a product of a largely Christian society, and not entirely biblically unlearned. It has been frustrating to me to see so many self-proclaimed "Christians" argue that we must betray our own society, our own children, and hand our entire civilization over to whoever demands it, in order to be good Christians. This section gives a biblical and common-sense answer to such feeble and self-righteous do-gooderism.

If I have any complaint, it is that the authors could have spent a little more time illustrating the economic effects of mass immigration, both the harm done to citizens, and the almost unimaginable greed it takes to sell out one's own people for cheap labor. Billions of dollars are being made by a tiny number of people, at the expense of an increasingly poor and insecure public. Those profiteering from globalist nation-wrecking are traitors in the strongest sense of the word, and deserve to be treated as such. Whether a globalist capitalist profiteer, a sincere leftist seeking an imaginary multicultural "utopia", or a false christian peddling white guilt to feel righteous, these deluded people are dangerous to civilization itself.
Interesting that even the non-Christians are capable of seeing the problem with societally destructive Churchianity. And the reviewer is right, the economics chapter is generally abstract and heavily technical, so the impact is perhaps less powerful than if we'd taken Red Eagle's more storytelling-oriented approach. Mea culpa.

Don't forget, Cuckservative is now out in audiobook as well.

Sinners welcome to repent, unrepentent sinners welcome to leave. How hard is it? What bits doesn't the Church get?
what a twisted mess the West is.
Vox, I've been musing "We the people" is consistent with the first Church council in the book of Acts. The constitution flows naturally from Christian thought/ education. A council meeting of dedicated individual seeking out God's will to build a community.
In contradistinction the new SJW totalitarianism is consistent with Muhammadan submission. Rules by fiat, no debate needed, sought or welcome.

ie. "We the people" is inimitable w.r.t. Muhammadan submission. If Muhammad is famous, it should be for his ignorance of, or open rejection of the biblical Jesus Christ.

Donald Trump is right for the wrong reasons. You're right for right reasons, but not a billionaire. Perhaps send him a copy of your book. cheers

The Churchians go deeper. Instead of jealously guarding the treasures of the church - its poor and downtrodden - it fed them to leviathan for 501c3 status.

Half OT: Speaking of
STEM and book reviews.

I can agree that there is too little practical math taught, but you aren't going to really understand science and engineering without algebra and calculus. Even the ubiquitous PID.

tz (I like your name, by the way), an amusing article.

"So Hacker’s book is deeply comforting. I’m not alone, it tells me—lots of smart people hate math. ... For low-income students, math is often an impenetrable barrier to academic success. ..."

Ah yes, the emotional comfort that one is "smart" even if one fails the conventional measures of smartness. And did the author just admit to bribing their way through the academic system? Not that that really surprises me. However, in the real world, math is extremely cheap to practice: pen, paper and a stack of problems. "Low-income" is thus not really the problem. Try "low-intelligence".

What is more concerning is the signs of a push by the dumb-dumbs to define down STEM. The political scientist (who teaches at a "low prestige institution", chuckle) wants to trash the subject by replacing it with statistics ... non-mathematical statistics, that is, which is basically pointless but probably can be taught quite easily to a low but pleasing level.

Now children, shout "correlation is not causation!" when someone says a bad fact and the fnords won't get you.

“In a way, math departments throughout the country don’t worry,” Hacker says. “They have big budgets because their classes are required, so they keep on going.”

Well, since the topic has been brought up, I have some other suggestions if we want to make classes non-required. Your friends at the grievance studies departments might not like it, though.

One might say that the underlying problem is that some students could really stop at, say, sixth grade without loss of education. Those students are unlikely to have any real use for math, one might note, and could have some use out of learning to shout that correlation is not causation. However, we have now built this system of worshipping educational credentials (carrot) and shutting out those who do not have these credentials (whip), which means an increasing number of poor students have to be grimly carried through the entire pipeline so they can get a good jerb and be properly saddled with debt. The problem, thus, is not math but social dysfunction.

and I think his point is that so few students actually go into those fields that it makes no sense to teach this to everyone.

@VD,

Years before mass immigration was an evident serious problem as it is today (late 90's), me and my Dad said that importing masses of people from the 3rd world wasn't going to end well, specially with Muslims as they form parallel societies and do not assimilate.

For years me and my Dad have been scorned for mentioning this fact that is more and more apparent every day.

For years I thought many times that maybe I was wrong.

Same with exporting our manufacturing abroad, instead of fixing the taxation and governmental money waste at home, we dismantle our industry and move to the 3rd world. Where the fuck are going to work those with no skills if there is no manufacturing?

I was labelled a lunatic for raising this issues many times and expressing concern that all of this leads to civil unrest and confrontation.

After all these years I feel vindicated reading your and other poster's opinions.

Thank you all, I do not feel alone any more.

My outlook unfortunately hasn't changed, if anything your views confirm to me that this will not end well, I only see one outcome, generalized Civil War and repression all over Europe.

It will still take some time to happen, but once it starts it will spread like wildfire.

I think the point of no return will come once the economy begins to suffer proper disruption and affect logistics.

I hope I'm wrong and it doesn't happen, or if it does, I'm not too old to fight.

What?! Weren't you listening to the Master's pet dog Rush Limbaught? Those no-skills an low-intelligence works must retrain in ...wait for it...STEM.

This vicious attitude was what began to alert me to the fact that Limbaught is a fraud.

Anonymous ODG March 08, 2016 9:00 AM

The idea of parallel societies being bad for a culture reminds me of the Romeike family: a German homeschooling family that fled Germany for the US so they could continue to homeschool their kids. Germany bans homeschooling because they don’t want parallel societies (the irony is thick considering their stance on Muslim immivasion).
In the new, Nationalistic order that is coming, what do families like this do? They can’t leave because they aren’t “blood” with any other Nation, so they have to stay. Staying involves persecution, including losing your kids to the State.

Christians will face renewed persecution in the West if they refuse to go along with some of the more drastic actions of Nation-worship, being cast as traitors. And in a sense I guess they will be, since their allegiance will be to Christ and not the Nation. Jesus warned us about persecution, so it’s not really a surprise, but it does put a fine point on the issues facing Christians in the coming wars. I imagine both sides of the conflict in any given Nation will reject them.

(As an aside, at least one or two of the Romeike kids were born here in the US, so they are considered citizens by our current system, and yet the Feds had no qualms about the possibility of sending them back to Germany with their family).

What I inevitably see every time that topic comes up is the folks who dismiss people's concerns about manufacturing moving overseas with "Well, if we didn't have third world slave labor building our stuff, manufacturers would have automated their factories instead, and you'd still have the same problem of people out of work!" Funny how they can predict with such accuracy that automation would have put everyone out of a job anyway.

Before they did away with civil service tests, black PHDs would test out at 3rd grade math levels.

That may be the argument they use but it is a bad one. The real argument is... without our standard of living being propped up by Asian slave labor... it would've fallen through the floor over the last 2 decades.

Sadly, they have a point.  "Algebra" has changed since my day; rather than being the study of symbolic expressions leading up to calculus, "abstract algebra" is a set of exercises in number theory which I find useless and pointless.  It is useful for things like cryptography, but how many people are going to make a living as cryptographers vs. mechanical design?

A curriculum reset to about 1960 (immediately post-Sputnik) is in order.

If Johnny can't calculate the charge your system needs based on the diameter and length of the lines from the condenser to the evaporator, he's not going to do so well at that either.  At the least, that takes skills at arithmetic.

So Johnny doesn't have the math. Some can never learn it. Johnny's the assistant who puts together the lines that the boss laid out for him. You need jobs for the left half of the bell curve just as much if not more than for the right.

The original link to the article was from Adafruit a big promoter of "women in STEM".

I should clarify that post-Algebra is not useful if you aren't going into STEM, so it should be optional, but if you are, it is required

The rest of the cultural and social problems aside, there is no reason a Woman who can handle the math and the rest can't go into STEM. And men who can't handle it or prefer something else shouldn't either.

But Nature - electrons, magnetic fields, the logic of correct code - is perfectly just but merciless. It never forgives. You can't dumb down circuits so they won't catch fire if you miscalculate. The bridge isn't going to stay up in a too heavy load just because you pass a statute.

It is like me singing - maybe with the same amount of effort the author of the article required to learn the math, I could improve my musical ability to be a soloist, but I'm far from it now, and I don't see anyone dumbing down American Idol (except as a joke) so I can go on stage and inflict a tune on the audience (and even I'm not an imp enough to suggest I'm singing a lost work of Schoenberg). People excel and have talent in different things.

This book, along with SJWAL, both have legs. I'm still getting massive mileage on simply the Preamble to the Constitution part in message boards. I'm glad to see the discussions regarding the "Proposition Nation" that are going on VP as well.

"Whether a globalist capitalist profiteer, a sincere leftist seeking an imaginary multicultural "utopia", or a false christian peddling white guilt to feel righteous, these deluded people are dangerous to civilization itself."

This is something I've had some trouble explaining to Churchian and Lefty types. And I mean in real life. They are aware everything is being lost. But they can't bring themselves to face that their ideology or identity they have cultivated for decades might have been wrong.

That is where it is hard for people. Can they admit they were wrong about things given new information, or will they stay hide bound with heads in the sand?

Thanks again Vox and Red Eagle for a great book.
