The best argument for Trump

From a comment at Althouse:
Once you've allowed the barbarians through the gates, any swashbuckling ruffian who is willing to pick up a sword and push them back out again is an ally. We can worry about what the city should look like once we've put out the fires and have stopped the barbarians from actively setting more of them.
And, ideally, sent the barbarians back to their homelands. It's not about "illegal aliens". It's not about documentation. It's not about legality. It's about the largest invasion in human history. It's about the biggest mass migration in the recorded history of Man.

Mass repatriation or war. Those are the choices left to both America and the European nations now.

Choose wisely.

I notice there's been a shift in recent years towards referring to the Anglo-Saxon invasion of Britain as a "migration." Historians try to emphasize how it wasn't as blood-soaked as the Arthurian legends make it seem. Fewer battles, plenty of "living peacefully side-by-side."

Doesn't really change the situation for the Welsh and Cornish. The Romano-British still got crammed into the less fertile corners of the country. Their culture, language, and genetics were supplanted and side-lined in their homeland. To this day, the Welsh in particular are an openly derided minority.

Invasion is invasion no matter how many die.

Having the best, brightest, and most willing to take risks leave the middle east and Latin America is not good for those countries. We damage them by not having an airtight border. Their hope needs to be in fixing their country.

Folks in favor of the easy solution of mass migration are like eco-tourists. They want to enjoy Hispanic and Muslim culture without dealing with the problems it creates in the source country and receiving country.

Eco-tourists really bother me. I had friends spend 3 years in Mongolia helping the Mongolians as a missionary. They helped the Mongolians accept Christianity and learn how to drag themselves out of the culture of Genghis Khan. At the airport a bunch of eco-tourists self righteously told them how they were destroying the Mongolian culture.

The eco-tourists came for a few weeks and left. The Mongolians have to collect firewood every day using horses to carry it in. I doubt the eco-tourists spent a week with the grinding labor, hardships, alcoholism, and diseases that culture breeds. If they did, that culture wouldn't look so "wonderfully primitive." The tourists went back to LA and Spokane.

The fastest way to put the USA back on a trajectory toward higher wealth, peace and happiness is to REDUCE the # of 3rd worlders here, REDUCE the # of people whose ancestors hailed from outside the Hajnal Line (i.e., outside of Europe & the UK.)

Those inviting the Mongrel Hordes are engaged in the equivalent of hosting late-night raves next door where the party-goers crap and pee and litter all over their neighbors' property and a few of their "guests" rape, rob and murder the neighbors to boot.

If your neighbor openly behaved this way you'd either sic the cops on him or burn his f-ing house down. Instead, we're told to shut up, bend over and stop squealing like pigs as "our betters" rape us with their moral "superiority."

I only hope that Trump is just the beginning.

Pace the title of this thread, THAT is, in fact, "the best argument for Trump."

The Jews had one more chance, this time, to demonstrate some loyalty to the land in which they reside, and to change their stripes and, just once, to support a pro-white opportunity instead of defaulting to their usual anti-white scheming.

Of course, they stuck to type and, with "NeverTrump," are behaving in their predictable anti-white ways.

Cultures come in "high trust" and "low trust" versions, and the former are exclusively found in Europe and the Anglophile Sphere.

Israeli culture is no different in this regard from Persian, Arab, Asian (East or South) or African culture.

In low-trust cultures, "getting over" on someone, cheating them without their awareness of being cheated, is a hallmark of respect. Those of us steeped in Western Civ simply don't understand that at the level of DNA, people whose ancestors were of low-trust cultures are not to be trusted---EVER. These are people on whom you can't safety turn your back.

"Fair play" is a something at which they laugh and deride as weakness and stupidity.

Blogger dc.sunsets May 05, 2016 9:39 AM

@ Stoic, It seems you may be judging the future by the standards of the recent past.

Past results are not relevant when underlying conditions change. "WATW" (We Are The World) peaked in 1999/2000. WATW sentiment spent the last 16 years exhausting itself trying to reignite its rocket motor. The TP (Trump Phenomenon) is a strong signal that WATW is now reversing hard.

Give it time. 20 years of wage stagnation visibly due to (among other things) immivasion (Mestizo to H1-B's) is stoking the furnace of RAGE.

I do not think its at all off the table that people who are "visibly foreign" in appearance or language will be driven from the USA.

Why Indiana gave Trump the GOP nomination. - Chuck Baldwin

"When Cruz lost Indiana, he left the race: not only because he became a dark horse with the delegate count, but (more importantly) Ted knew that if he could not carry the Republican primary in Indiana, he had lost the philosophical race. It was all over.

As with many people, Hoosiers like people of faith and principle, but they don't like people who parade it on their sleeve. Frankly, many Christians (including me) were fed up with Glenn Beck and Ted's preacher-father.

All of Cruz, Sr. and Beck's pontificating about Ted being the "anointed" presidential candidate who was going to usher in the Second Coming and how Christians were betraying God if they didn't vote for Ted became too much. Add the insurrection against Phyllis Schlafly at Eagle Forum by Cruz supporters and Hoosiers had had enough.

If Ted had been as smart as people say he is, he would have told his father and Beck to please be quiet and would have publicly come to Schlafly's defense. But his ego got in the way. Or, maybe he really believed what Beck and Pop were saying."

Horn of the Mark up at #3 above mentioned the question of whether the Saxons invaded England or were invited in. The truth is both. The old chronicles have it that post-Roman Kentish Warlord Vortigern hired Saxon mercenaries under the leadership of Hengist and Horsa to help him in his squabbles with other Britons trying to fill the post-Roman power vacuum. Eventually Vortigern was too broke to pay them, so they went rogue and took what they wanted and sent back for cousins from the mainland to help them.

Of course, that has nothing to do with us sophisticated moderns, I'm sure. I mean, our elites would never make the same mistakes as some old dude like Vortigern who didn't have an Ivy League degree. Besides, all that happened amid the breakup of a crumbling empire.

When Director Rob Reiner appeared on MSNBC's Morning Joe Thursday to discuss his new film, "Being Charlie," the infamously liberal director couldn't stay away from politics. The conversation quickly turned to Donald Trump, and Reiner didn't hold back his true feelings.

Morning Joe co-anchor Willie Geist asked Reiner, "There are millions and millions of people who do not watch this show that actually like what they hear from Donald Trump. And they aren't taking messages and orders from us in the media. But they listen to what he says for themselves and vote for him. How do you explain that?"

"There are a lot of people who are racist," Reiner quickly replied.

Joe Scarborough was shocked, remarking, "Oh my God, did you just say that?"

Steve Sailer recently reported on a great Twitter feed, Conservative Pundit @DemsRRealRacist. Here are 16 of the best, arranged into a buttfelt cuckservative paean:

I just... I just don't know anymore. I always figured if the GOP base ever caught fire again it would be over the capital gains tax rate.

I worry sometimes my liberal friends don't believe I'm every bit as repulsed by flyover conservatives as they are. Keeps me up at night.

I, like all sane and rational conservatives, would rather my family and friends die horribly in a house fire than vote for Donald Trump.

Trump supporters seem to be some bizarre cult of personality that I just know my personal savior Ronald Reagan would have disapproved of.

We #NeverTrump footsoldiers must remain vigilant for thinly-veiled hate speech like "White Christian America."

Now matter how politely I explain to Trump voters that all their politics arise from feelings of inferiority and hatred, they still get mad!

Conservatism is much easier if you pretend the society that the Left just reinvented radically was the one you were conserving all along.

Nationalities are free-floating masses of norms, laws, and taxes—completely untethered by blood or history—which individuals assume at will.

This nation was founded on the beautiful idea that everyone in the world gets a say in who lives here except for the people who live here.

We Republicans must excise the cancer that is liberalism and supplant it with an inclusive, multicultural, gender-egalitarian conservatism.

There are people who prioritize the welfare of the kin and community networks they were born into over those of random foreigners. NOT OK.

The ideal Republican family is two committed partners and the Mexicans they adopted to do the chores their hypothetical children wouldn't.

Trump hired Steven Mnuchin to be his Finance Chairman. He was a former partner of Goldman Sachs and worked there for 17 years. He worked at Soros Fund Management.

Trump once said of Cruz who's wife worked for Goldman Sachs "I know the guys at Goldman Sachs. They have total, total control over him. Just like they have total control over Hillary Clinton."

Anonymous Faceless May 05, 2016 11:59 AM

Ricky Vaughn's linked to a piece from the NYT that says Trump's first hundred days will be designing the wall, rescinding the executive orders that are extraconstitutional and unconstitutional, suspending the wave of immigrants from ISIS land, audit the Federal Reserve, and rolling back Obamacare.

The same article has Trump saying he'd skip much of the hooplah to make sure he could immediately start rescinding executive orders, and it has Trump saying he would rethink the federal government power and how it operates.

I am missing what "conservative" means if this would not be what we would expect one to do, because it sounds small-government nationalist federalist isolationist.

This argument was lost in the 30s.

Trump should co-op the issue from Hillary and state that it should be a minimum of $10 (maybe even $12). Due to inflation in the last 10 years alone this would have a negligible effect on business. Then she will go higher of course and he can make her justify the hit on business. I suspect this is what he will do.

Trump is the warning shot:
This is why Trump exists. It’s never been about Trump, what he says or what he promises to do. That’s just the glitter on the stripper. The Trumpening is about the people in charge and their callous disregard for their duties and the country they allegedly serve. It’s as if the voting public went out and found the one guy who most offends the ruling class. Trump is a more polished version of Chuck Tingle and the voters are the Rabid Puppies. It’s not about voting for something as much as it is voting against something.
Trump is the warning shot. He’s the food riots before the revolution. He’s the stack of letters to the editor in protest over some issue. People do not go from happy to bloody revolt overnight. It’s a process and the early stages are warnings, at least they should be viewed as warnings. If the people in Washington insist on flooding the country with helot labor, despite what’s happening in the election, the people are going to insist on building scaffolds in Washington. The Trump phenomenon is the warning.

As I'm sure you're aware, there's a 'Stop Trump PAC' and look what they tweeted.

I believe the goals of communism were read into the Congressional Record in 1963 or around then. Most of the goals have been accomplished and then some.

Hopefully the RINO faction stands by its word and votes for Hillary, thus exposing the fraud for all to see. Will be easier to remove them from the ranks after that. Some will voluntarily switch parties. Some will retire, and some will be voted out.

General Welfare means such things as things which benefit the GENERAL public, such as infrastructure, public health systems (disease control, such as draining mosquito-laden swamps, helps more than just those who have contracted a disease -- it also helps everyone else to stay disease-free), etc.

Wealth Transfer Payments are *NOT* General Welfare. Wealth Transfer Payments are INDIVIDUAL Welfare.

"The federal minimum wage provisions are contained in the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)." It's $7.25 currently.

Many states have laws that set it higher for their state.

Unions, aka Big labor, want a higher minimum wage because many Big Labor contracts are tied to the minimum wage - if your pay is set to minimum wage +5 dollars, then a minimum wage hike raises everyone's pay and make you look good.

Progressives want a higher minimum wage because they want to destroy the United States.

Anonymous George of the Jungle May 05, 2016 4:33 PM

We must increase the minimum wage in order to ensure that more Mexicans sneak over the border and have more opportunities from law-breaking employers to do the jobs that even more Americans will not do.

Anonymous mature-Craig May 05, 2016 4:36 PM

Anonymous mature-Craig May 05, 2016 4:37 PM

The Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938[1] (abbreviated as FLSA; also referred to as the Wages and Hours Bill[2]) is a federal statute of the United States. The FLSA introduced the forty-hour work week,[3][4] established a national minimum wage,[5] guaranteed "time-and-a-half" for overtime in certain jobs,[6] and prohibited most employment of minors in "oppressive child labor", a term that is defined in the statute.[7] It applies to employees engaged in interstate commerce or employed by an enterprise engaged in commerce or in the production of goods for commerce,[8] unless the employer can claim an exemption from coverage.

The FLSA was originally drafted in 1932 by Senator Hugo Black, who was later appointed to the Supreme Court in 1937. However, Black's proposal to require employers to adopt a thirty-hour workweek met stiff resistance.[9] In 1938 a revised version of Black's proposal was passed that adopted an eight-hour day and a forty-hour workweek and allowed workers to earn wage for an extra four hours of overtime as well.[9] According to the act, workers must be paid minimum wage and overtime pay must be one-and-a-half times regular pay. Children under eighteen cannot do certain dangerous jobs, and children under the age of sixteen cannot work during school hours. The FLSA affected 700,000 workers, and President Franklin Roosevelt called it the most important piece of New Deal legislation since the Social Security Act of 1935.[10]
